New Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is Stuttgart's Most Powerful Naturally-Aspirated Beast
New Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is Stuttgart's Most Powerful Naturally-Aspirated Beast

Porsche have pulled the covers off their latest green machine and it’s their most powerful offering to date in naturally-aspirated production form.

After a successful run of debuts over the past year which included the new Porsche 911 GT3 and the Nurburgring record-breaking 911 GT2 RS, today’s announcement brings the 911 GT3 family full circle with the all new 911 GT3 RS.

The new model retains the proven 4.0-litre flat-six engine which can still rev up to 9,000rpm whilst delivering 383kW of power – 15kW more than the previous model – and 470Nm of torque. Those kind of figures are enough to see the car hit 100km/h in 3.2 seconds before topping out at a max speed of 312km/h.

This blistering pace in the absence of turbos is further helped by the Porsche’s PDK dual clutch transmission which efficiently gets the power to the rear wheels. It’s also the only transmission option for this car.

The interior is a very driver-focused place to be with a half roll cage taking up the rear cabin (colour matched) and contrast bucket seats with more carbon trimmings than you can poke stick at.

If a sturdy fabric strap for a door handle isn’t hardcore enough, customers can opt for the Weissach performance package which cuts weight by swapping out the roof for carbon fibre, the steering wheel trim and shift paddles for carbon fibre and you guessed it, the front and rear sway bars for carbon fibre. Super light and ridiculously pricey magnesium wheels (US$13,000) can also be added to the Weissach equation to bring the ultimate 911 GT3 RS package down to 1,430kg.

Local pricing for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will start at $416,500 before on-road costs.

Justin Bieber's Latest Look Is A Nod To Rockstar Bret Michaels
Justin Bieber's Latest Look Is A Nod To Rockstar Bret Michaels

The latest style statement from the Biebs brings forth two immediate questions.

One, who the hell is Bret Michaels? And two, why does Justin Bieber look so pissed off?

Regardless of how he felt at the time, the 23-year-old pop star still managed to pull off his best impression of 80s American rock star, Bret Michaels. The bandana wearing 54-year-old was the front man of glam metal band, Poison, which in its hey-day sold over 40 million records worldwide.

RELATED: NBA’s Biggest Stars Dominate Pre-Game Fashion

The exposure also allowed Michaels to show off his quintessential rock star wardrobe which often consisted of a paisley bandana and smooth blonde locks that would make David Beckham blush.

Of course it’s likely that Bieber didn’t intentionally borrow the style of Michaels and was instead going for a more NBA-friendly look. He succeeded with the former more than the latter.

Check out Justin Bieber’s Bret Michaels-inspired look in the gallery below along with proof that he likely wasn’t going for the old school rocker’s signature look.

Sweet Jesus, Steven Seagal Just Launched A New Cryptocurrency
Sweet Jesus, Steven Seagal Just Launched A New Cryptocurrency

90s American action star Steven Seagal has just been named the official ambassador for Bitcoiin2Gen, a new cryptocurrency which is launching its initial coin offering.

The announcement came overnight via the 65-year-old’s Twitter account which announced there’d be more news to come on the partnership.

Whilst one would question the sheer (ir)relevance between Seagal, who is devout Buddhist, and the shaky millionaire’s factory known as crypto, his marketing team are a little less concerned.

In a hilarious PR release filled with sweeping segueways that tie the zen philosophy of Seagal to what is potentially the world’s biggest scam market, you’ll find gems like this:

“As a Buddhist, Zen teacher, and healer, Steven lives by the principles that the development of the physical self is essential to protect the spiritual man. He believes that what he does in his life is about leading people into contemplation to wake them up and enlighten them in some manner. These are precisely the objectives of the Bitcoiin2Gen to empower the community by providing a decentralized P2P payment system with its own wallet, mining ecosystem and robust blockchain platform without the need of any third party.”

Wait, what?

RELATED: You Can Now Get Paid Cryptocurrency To Watch Porn

It’s also important to highlight warn potential investors that ‘Bitcoiin 2Gen’ isn’t actually part of Bitcoin. The spelling with an extra ‘i’ is intentionally dubious as it attempts to ride off the back of the successful Bitcoin name when it in actual fact is a token based the Ethereum blockchain.

Nonetheless, the company hopes that having Seagal on board will help them drive a crowdsale to hit a “soft cap minimum” of US$75 million.

We’re not one to judge so we’ll just leave you with a final quote from Bitcoiin’s epic press release which appears to come from the Bible of Seagal itself.

“Flow with whatever may happen and let your mind be free. Stay centered by accepting whatever you are doing. This is the ultimate.”

Side Hustles Are Often The Path To Success, But Are You Up To The Challenge?
Side Hustles Are Often The Path To Success, But Are You Up To The Challenge?

Success doesn’t happen overnight. But it also doesn’t happen while you’re working away making money for someone else.

You promise yourself year after year that you’ll start your side project, but here we are, late in February and the ball is still rolling to place called nowhere. And it’s okay, we get it. There are ten reasons not to start your own thing today, and ten more not to tomorrow. The cycle goes on.

Building a side hustle is both empowering and intimating. But if you want to build something you’re actually proud of, it’s the only way to put your ideas into action.

If you’re still sceptical, here’s how you’ll know when you’re ready to take on this new path.

“If you skydive, snorkel, invest in Bitcoin, travel around the globe, or have one night stands off Tinder – I’ll bet the side hustle is for you.”

Every side hustler I know is tired of making money for someone else.

They design, write, create, build, and they do it for the profit of others. Funnelling your passion into someone else’s dream is deflating. Only you can change that and build something for your own.

Take Amani Roberts, founder of The Amani Experience, who left his corporate job to pursue the overcrowded market of DJing. Back in 2008, he used his free time to network, spin on nights and weekends, and grow his hustle into a full-time business. Within a few years, he was earning half his salary from DJing and went off to start his own company in 2012.

“I DJ events, create original music for commercials and videos, and I also teach DJ lessons,” he says in an interview with The Balance.

“There will be many tough times and it isn’t easy. Perseverance will make the journey worthwhile”.

Sure, you have a good job that pays the bills with benefits and a retirement package…But are you truly fulfilled with what you do?

Creatives are driven by intrinsic motivation – they’re less inspired by money, fame, or rewards. It’s a challenge to keep them contained in a 9-to-5 box and demand an 8-hour workload.

This is why creative individuals often leave their corporate roles in pursuit of something they’re more passionate about – like design or writing.

Maybe after Uni you liked what you were doing, but times change and so do we. A close friend of mine, who I unfortunately can’t name since he still works in corporate sportswear, started a knife making project to fulfil his lifelong passion for cooking.

“I was tired of complaining about my job,” he tells me.

“It pays my bills, but at the same time my creative and emotional needs did not come from this job”.

His own brand aligns with his minimalist values and sinister chic, making the products something he identifies with and is proud to create. A personal outlet of sorts.

If you were to ask him if he’s afraid to fail, the answer would be no. “You’re going to fail,” he says.

“You’re definitely going to fail. But you learn from those failures and become something even better than before.”

Skot Carruth, an accountant turned co-founder of Philosophie, a design innovation company, noted that “entrepreneurs are everywhere – even within large companies. They’re hiding in plain sight, taking on extra projects, pitching product ideas, and failing frequently in their hunt for innovation”.

According to Skot, these entrepreneurs are the ones who get fired for insubordination or leave to found start ups. They are also the ones who become successful because of their ballsy efforts.

“If you’re the type that falls in love with a problem rather than runs away from it, then you’re ready for a side project.”

For a comical dose of motivation, check out the many failures of Elon Musk captured in one giant infographic. You’ll laugh, but also be inspired by the amount of times this guy failed, then continued to launch a Tesla into space after six sad attempts.

If you skydive, snorkel, invest in Bitcoin, travel around the globe, or have one night stands off Tinder – I’ll bet the side hustle is for you.

Why? Because there’s calculated risk behind these actions.

You quickly evaluate the pros and cons. Take action. And reap the benefits of your decision. Entrepreneurship mentor and consultant Leonard C. Green explains that this type of risk taker is one who takes steps toward their goals – acting, learning, and building along the way.

They are the ones who become successful, not those who risk everything and hope for the best. Your side hustle is this first step towards reaching a new career goal.

If you’re the type that falls in love with a problem rather than runs away from it, then you’re ready for a side project. You see the gaps that need to be filled, whether you’re solving a market need, personal growth, or saving the world – and your current job doesn’t give that opportunity.

In fact, high-performing individuals often leave their jobs behind if they aren’t given meaningful challenges in their position. These individuals are known to push boundaries and achieve goals that often go unrecognised by management. If there’s no promotion or further personal growth, high-performers normally grow bored and seek challenges elsewhere.

RELATED: The Real Reasons Why You’ll Never Be Rich

At this point, you know the side hustle is for you. You’re over being scared of the unknown. You want to embrace the opportunity and overcome any challenges that come with it. There are no more excuses for what you’re not doing.

If you feel this way, you’re one step closer towards the mindset of how successful people think. Dan Waldschmidt, a speaker and renowned business strategist, tracks this type of thinking.

“Winners believe in their soul that nothing – absolutely nothing – is impossible. They might not know how they will win. But they believe that they will figure it out,” he says. Successful people know the effort they put in is worth it, and if they hit a dead end, they learn from it and perfect it.

So, the question you need to ask yourself is: are you ready to take the next step?

If you’re not passionate about your current job, you learn from your failures and are tired of wondering “what if…”, then maybe it’s time to consider a side hustle.

Start today. Start now, even if you don’t have a clue what it’ll be. Write down your ideas, learn and create. It’s time you blaze a path for yourself instead of someone else.

Because with failure comes success, and with success comes more success. And most importantly, nobody who is successful today believes that their goals are impossible. Why should you?

Zapata Flyride Is The World's First Aerial Jet Ski [SUTMM #166]
Zapata Flyride Is The World's First Aerial Jet Ski [SUTMM #166]

Leave no stone unturned with this week’s coolest money-grabbing objects of affection. Whether it’s via the sea, land or air, there’s something for all guys who just want to watch their money burn.

Zapata Flyride Aerial Jet Ski

The people who brought us the water hoverboard have debuted their latest creation which looks like something straight out of Star Wars. Whilst it won’t have you gliding through the skies via magical levitation, Zapata’s Flyride aerial ski will do it with water jet propulsion. The wild looking craft takes the same principle as the hoverboard by drawing power from an existing vessel’s 155-400hp engine. This essentially turns the Flyride into a twin-seater aerial jet ski that’s capable of hitting 35km/h without touching the water. Unless you engage in a controlled barrel roll which the Flyride can do at the push of a button.

BUY $5,500

Jet Capsule Mini Jet Yacht

Face it, a superyacht isn’t exactly for everyone and Italian yacht maker Jet Capsule have banked on this in the creation of their Mini Jet. The cool micro yacht looks like something straight out of a 007 escape scene but in actual fact it’s much more practical. The craft itself is built on a five-metre hull design which can transport up to five adults. The cockpit meanwhile features a carbon fibre canopy which can be removed to change the entire craft’s appearance into European cruiser, albeit in shrunken form. There’s a choice of four motors to choose from to suit just about any water way with a 315hp petrol engine, a 260hp diesel engine, 160hp electric motor or a hybrid which adds an extra 80hp to the petrol power plant. Top speed is rated at around the 45 knot mark if you do need to make a quick get away.

BUY $69,000

Arch Method 143 Motorcycle

We filled you guys in on Keanu Reeves’ awesome motorcycle company late last year with whispers of a very limited edition model to follow. Well this is it – the Arch Method 143. Designed and built entirely by the boutique Californian garage, the Arch 143 is limited to just 23 examples.

Power delivery is taken care of by a massive 2,343cc V-Twin engine which is slotted between a custom carbon fibre chassis with integrated fuel cell. The carbon doesn’t stop there though, with lightweight wheels made entirely of the composite and wrapped with super sticky Michelin Power RS tyres. There’s also an SC Project exhaust system which flows beautifully with the CNC aluminium lines of the bike.

The Chita By Suntory

Not all Japanese whiskies are created to break the bank. The Chita is the House of Suntory’s latest premium whisky to join their existing Australian line-up this February. Billed as the first single grain whisky from the iconic Japanese whisky maker, the drink is distilled in the Chita peninsula, a seaside Japanese town located in the Aichi Prefecture. Whisky connoisseurs can expect a light taste and the delicate sweet fragrance of honey and crème brûlée aromas. Treat your palate to the mild and smooth taste of Japan’s latest and most affordable liquid gold in a 700ml bottle.

BUY $90

Black Tie Limited Edition Kitchen Aid

Every man needs to know how to throw together a basic dish and there’s no better assistant than the latest Limited Edition Artisan Black Tie Stand Mixer from KitchenAid. Only 500 of the black beauties will be making into Australia but if you do manage to score one you can rest assure that you’ll be well on your way to making your own pasta, bread or baked dishes of the highest quality.

BUY $TBC

Apple Homepod

Apple’s HomePod speaker assistant is finally here and we’ve been giving it the test run for the past two weeks. As an Apple product punters can expect the usual high standard of exacting design seamlessly merged with intelligence and high build quality. There are glaring downsides though and that’s its big asking price which commands AU$499 locally alongside the need to be subscribed to Apple’s paid music service for it to function properly. And if you own an Android based phone then you can pretty much forget about using the HomePod.

One are that the HomePod does excel in is the sound quality. Apple have seemingly poured a lot of hours into getting the 360 degree audio balance just right with built in sensors detecting how far the unit is to walls and obstacles before re-directing the sound to its more optimal direction. All of these smarts come complements of an A8 chip (found in the iPhone 6) which can turn conventional sound waves into an immersive experience in just about any room.

Siri is also pretty helpful with telling you where to eat if you ask her, what music to play based on your mood and general chit chat based on queries. We did notice however that you need to speak clearly and tone down the Aussie accent to a more generic one otherwise it throws out the wrong song. Other than that it’s a must for Apple fans who demand the highest quality of music and sweet interior design. For those who can’t stomach the Apple price tag, there are other options like the Sonos One and range-topping Google Home which can do a broader job but with a bit less flair and without locking you into Apple’s services.

BUY $499

New Pick-Up Artist Video Game 'Super Seducer' Teaches Men How To Pick Up Women
New Pick-Up Artist Video Game 'Super Seducer' Teaches Men How To Pick Up Women

It’s been billed as the world’s most realistic seduction simulator but Super Seducer is already copping outrage before it lands in the hands of hapless romantics.

The video game which is set to be released on March 6 via Windows PC and PlayStation 4 is the brainchild of Richard La Ruina, a “self-confessed shy virgin until 21 years of age, [who] turned his lonely life around and became Europe’s top Pick Up Artist in 2009”.

La Ruina’s Super Seducer follows the same blue print as the popular choose-your-own-adventure style video games (Resident Evil, etc). Players are placed in a dating situation amongst women and urged to advance through the stage by choosing the right opener or response. Choose the right thing to say and you’ll score the lady’s number and progress to the next stage where seduction situations get increasingly harder.

Choose the wrong thing to say and you’ll be met with a swift palm to the face or a drink thrown at you. In one example of a dating scenario gone pear-shaped, players can make La Ruina say something like, “If you’re not good at cooking, you better be real good at sucking dick”. Another in-game scenario prompts the option of “I like big boobs. Try and touch her boobs” to players.

Whilst La Ruina makes it clear that these are not the things to say or do to women, it’s likely the level to which the options stoop to that are causing a stir. Some online commentators have already labelled it as sexist and offensive whilst others are claiming that the game allows men to play out their worst behaviour towards women in a virtual environment.

With over 520 choices for players to choose from alongside nine hours of live action footage and multiple endings, Super Seducer is undoubtedly one of the most comprehensive translations of the conventional (and often tired) PUA game.

RELATED: A Guide To Pick Up Lines & Awesome Tinder Bios

Nonetheless La Ruina is hoping that his tongue-in-cheek video game with step-by-step commentary by him will be a fresh way to teach men the “psychology and the hundreds of hidden secrets that separate seduction masters from everyone else”.

“I’m confident that after playing Super Seducer, players will start getting better results, making the right moves in real life,” he said in the game’s press release.

And as for the #MeToo movement that’s currently sweeping the world, La Ruina isn’t worried. He said that they began working on the product before the female empowerment movement even began and their cast and crew ensured that strong female roles were included in the game. He also backed it up by saying that improper or offensive conduct in the game is punished and corrected.

“The correct path is always one that would be appropriate in real-life.”

NBA's Biggest Stars Dominate Pre-Game Fashion For The All-Star Weekend
NBA's Biggest Stars Dominate Pre-Game Fashion For The All-Star Weekend

This weekend the biggest names in NBA got together for the eagerly awaited All-Star weekend at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Whilst our homegrown hero Ben Simmons was overlooked for the All-Star weekend, it was still a spectacle to see the very best go head to head. East vs. West. Team LeBron vs Team Curry.

On Team LeBron; Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving all took up their positions, while Team Curry saw Joel Embiid, DeMar Derozan, Stephen Curry, James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo get together.

Part of any NAB game is the pre-game fashion worn by the players. Here’s what LeBron, Steph, Kevin Hart and co wore as they arrived at the Staples Centre.

Much respect to LaMarcus Aldridge who looked sharper than a knife in his black and grey suit separates combo.

These Crucial Exercises Will Ensure You Get Bigger, Faster
These Crucial Exercises Will Ensure You Get Bigger, Faster

So you want to build muscle? It’s not as straightforward as just downing protein and lifting heavy.

To uncover the secret of how to get muscles, we need to release the right hormones for cell proliferation and muscle development – and to make this behind-the-scenes sequence happen, we need quality nutrition as well as progressive muscle overload through resistance work.

RELATED: Here’s How To Get Ripped Without A Gym Membership

The best exercises to include in our workout regimen are explosive large muscle group exercises. Effective work of the glutes and quads, being the biggest muscle groups in the body, releasing the most testosterone, insulin type factor 1 and growth hormone, the three hormonal building blocks of muscle development.

The following three exercise supersets can be endlessly adapted to help build muscle faster. It should be noted that each of these exercises should be modified to suit any muscle weakness, asymmetries and competency level, and varied to ensure effective shocking of the body and ongoing muscle soreness.

You will not develop muscle if you are injured, so ensure you have the right technique and do not sacrifice technique for intensity.

Explosive Deadlifts (Or Cleans) With Box Jumps

Varying speed and time under tension to ensure fast twitch muscle fibre development is key in ensuring the muscle you develop is effective muscle. Adding plyometric exercises such as box jumps or hops is a great example of this.

Warm up your hips by undergoing some dead lifts at a light weight (30-50% of bodyweight). Following, begin your working set of deadlifts or cleans at 75% of your heaviest lift for 6 sets of 12 repetitions. Adjust the speed at which you eccentrically (the “down” phase) and concentrically (the “up” stage) contract your muscles. Slow on the down phase and explode up. This is a great way to ensure muscle development as well as mobility through your hamstrings.

Once you have finished your deadlift set, move into bodyweight box jumps (once you can move your legs again). This is a great conditioning exercise that builds fast twitch muscle fibres.

Weighted Chin Ups & Barbell Bent Over Rows

Whilst your lats, delts and arms are being fried from the chins, throwing a weight between the feet is a great way to maximise the work your abs and core is doing at the same time. If you can do chin ups before moving into a bent over row (with barbell), which effectively works the entirety of your posterior chain, you can effectively work all your back muscles and be sure to stress the body.

The chin ups should be from a dead hang (straight arms at the bottom) pulling until your shoulders or chest touch your thumbs and your entire head is above your hands. A good target to be able to hit is with a 5-10kg dumbbell held between the feet slightly in front of the body – 8-12 reps for 4 sets.

Military Press & Weighted Dips

Increasing your shoulder width is an effective way to look bigger, quicker, and it also helps with your other pressing lifts by having the triceps and chest as secondary movers.

The right technique however is often overlooked and leads to decreased range of movement and scapular instability, inhibiting strength and thus also size gains. Regressing this movement by reducing weight and ensuring full mobility of the shoulders by doing some repetitions with the bar coming down behind the head is key before loading this movement. We want a painless, manageable and smooth lifting motion, rather than a leg shaking, body compensating struggle.

Super-setting this shoulder press (military press) with a bodyweight dip is a great way to exhaust the triceps, shoulders and chest, and to do it safely.

BUT…It is not enough to simply do your resistance work and eat well. Both areas should be constantly monitored to ensure the body is being shocked enough to change, and constantly in the right environment to add muscle. In addition to nutrition and training quality, other factors that will affect your results are rest, consistency in matching your macros, stress levels and hydration.
