There’s been an abundance of drama surrounding the upcoming film Don’t Worry Drama, so here’s a complete breakdown.
Earlier this week no one could stop talking about how Harry Styles seemingly spat on Chris Pine during the premiere screening of Don’t Worry Darling at the 79th Venice International Film Festival; an allegation that Chris Pine’s representative quickly shut down.
It’s not the only drama to arise out of Don’t Worry Darling though; in fact, it was relatively minor compared to other controversies surrounding the film and its release. And so, for your guilty pleasure, we’ve broken down every Don’t Worry Darling drama that’s gone down so far.
The Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis and Harry Styles love triangle

Firstly, Olivia Wilde, who directed and stars in Don’t Worry Darling, had been dating Jason Sudeikis – best known for his role in Ted Lasso – for seven years before filming for Don’t Worry Darling began in 2020.
Wilde and Sudeikis share two children together and were engaged; however, in November 2020, news broke that the couple had split. Rumours quickly emerged at the time that Wilde had had an affair with Styles on the Don’t Worry Darling set and that’s allegedly why Sudeikis left her.
Wilde herself has denied these claims though; in fact, she recently told Vanity Fair, “The complete horseshit idea that I left Jason [Sudeikis] for Harry [Styles] is completely inaccurate. Our relationship was over long before I met Harry [Styles].”
However, despite Wilde’s comments, many still believe that Wilde did cheat on Sudeikis with Styles and maintain that’s why she was served custody papers on behalf of Sudeikis earlier this year while she was onstage at CinemaCon, talking about Don’t Worry Darling.
Sudeikis has denied that he planned for Wilde to be served with the papers while she was giving a public presentation about Don’t Worry Darling. But Wilde suspects he did it to deliberately “disrupt” her. Wilde also said the whole custody papers incident “deeply saddened” and “disturbed” her.
Ultimately, no matter who or what you believe, the whole love triangle between Wilde, Sudeikis and Styles has created an undeniable amount of drama surrounding the upcoming release of Don’t Worry Darling.
The Alleged Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh feud

Secondly, there’s allegedly some beef between Wilde and Florence Pugh, who plays the leading role in Don’t Worry Darling. Earlier this year, internet sleuths were quick to notice that Pugh rarely posted about Don’t Worry Darling on her social media accounts and wasn’t doing much promotion for the film, despite being the lead. After this discovery, many began to suspect that Wilde and Pugh were feuding.
Then in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Pugh said about the film, “When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world [Styles, who plays Pugh’s husband in the film] go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry,” which seemingly contradicts most things said about Don’t Worry Darling by Wilde – since 2021, Wilde has been vocal about how she wants this film to explore female pleasure onscreen.
Furthermore, rumours have circulated that Pugh was uncomfortable on the Don’t Worry Darling set because of Wilde and Styles’ romance and because she was allegedly paid much less than Styles – of course, these rumours are yet to be confirmed (or denied!) by a reliable source.
Pugh then skipped Don’t Worry Darling’s Venice Film Festival press conference, which furthered the rumours of Pugh and Wilde feuding – although, a representative said this was because Pugh had tight scheduling conflicts. Although, when Pugh did arrive in Venice and walked the red carpet as well as attended the Don’t Worry Darling premiere, she never directly interacted with Wilde.
Ramin Setoodeh, the editor of Variety, even claims that Pugh ‘refused’ to make eye contact with Wilde during the four-minute standing ovation Don’t Worry Darling received after its premiere screening at the Venice Film Festival. Yikes.
Shia LaBeouf – fired or quit?

Finally, Styles was not originally cast as the leading man in Don’t Worry Darling; Shia LaBeouf was. LaBeouf left the project shortly after being cast in 2020 (at the time, it was reported that he left because of scheduling conflicts) and was quickly replaced by Styles.
And it’s important to note that all this happened before LaBeouf’s ex, British singer/songwriter FKA Twigs, accused him of sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress in January 2021.
Then, in an interview with Variety, that was published on August 24th of this year, Wilde revealed she had actually fired LaBeouf because he didn’t have the right “ethos” or “energy” for Don’t Worry Darling. Wilde went on to talk about Twigs’ allegations against LaBeouf in relation to Don’t Worry Darling and said,
“…For our film, what we really needed was an energy that was incredibly supportive. Particularly with a movie like this, I knew that I was going to be asking Florence [Pugh] to be in very vulnerable situations, and my priority was making her feel safe and making her feel supported.”
Olivia Wilde
This is where things get complicated, though. Days later, LaBeouf completely disputed Wilde’s claim that she fired him and said that he quit because he believed there wasn’t enough rehearsal time. LaBeouf even shared with Variety emails and screenshots of messages discussing his decision to quit, which he claims were sent to Wilde.
In one of these emails, LaBeouf wrote allegedly to Wilde, “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. I quit your film because your actors and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.” LaBeouf also shared video footage that he claims Wilde sent him after he quit.
In the footage (that has now leaked publicly), Wilde says, “I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet, and I, too, am heartbroken and I want to figure this out.” Wilde then alludes to a potential rift between LaBeouf and Pugh, who Wilde calls “Miss Flo” in the footage – which you can watch below.
Wilde has apparently doubled down though, despite all of LaBeouf’s ‘receipts’. In an interview with Vanity Fair, which was published after LaBeouf disputed being fired from Don’t Worry Darling (but likely was conducted before LaBeouf’s dispute), Wilde again said she fired LaBeouf – this time because Pugh was allegedly uncomfortable with LaBeouf’s behaviour on set. Drama, drama, drama…
Notable mentions

We have to mention Pine completely disassociating during an interview at the Venice Film Festival when Styles described Don’t Worry Darling with the simple sentence, “The movie, is like, it feels like a movie.” – although that was less ~drama~ and more of a hilarious moment. Maybe it’s what precipitated the spitting?
We also had Styles joke on stage at a gig at Madison Square Garden in New York that “I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine,” making light of the whole ‘Spitgate’ situation.
We also have to mention Styles kissing Don’t Worry Darling co-star Nick Kroll during the film’s premiere – but again, that wasn’t really drama… It was honestly just iconic.
Don’t Worry Darling will hit cinemas on the 5th of October.

An American woman has had her first experience with Australia’s healthcare system and shared why it’s much better than the United States’ system…
The United States, despite being the wealthiest country on Earth and spending more money on its healthcare system than virtually any other country, is the most expensive in the world. It’s way too expensive for average Americans… Among many other prevalent issues. Comparatively, Australia has a rather good healthcare system – as one American woman has recently discovered.
As first reported by news.com.au, Gigi, a TikTok user who moved from California to Australia’s Northern Territory last month, was left “shook” when she had to seek medical treatment in the Land Down Under.
Gigi shared a video of her first experience with Australia’s healthcare system on TikTok, and captioned it with:
“10/10 experience, in the US I’m lucky if they don’t accuse me of seeking drugs or wait 4+ hours to give me anything. I’m shook at how much was done for me in a short time. All in the emergency department. Would’ve taken a month to get the same services done back in the [United] States.”
TikTok user @giginaturally
WATCH: Gigi’s TikTok highlights how Australia’s healthcare system is better than America’s…
The video itself shows that Gigi had to only pay US$680 for her treatment but that entire amount would be “reimbursed by private insurance.” And speaking to news.com.au, Gigi clarified that the same treatment would’ve cost “at least US$5000” in an American hospital.
In Gigi’s video, she praises the fact that she was given medication “promptly” after she arrived at the hospital and that the Australian “doctors and nurses were attentive and genuinely concerned.”
She also commented, “US hospitals could never.”
Indeed, the US health system costs roughly twice as much as the Australian health system per person… All while achieving worse results.
To anyone thinking of making the move from America to Australia, it’s clear from Gigi’s TikTok that a big item on the pro list is our healthcare system. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi, indeed.

The following article was produced in partnership with BMW.
In 2022, the car industry is at a crossroads. With the impacts of climate change being felt more and more every day, both new cars themselves as well as the processes by which they’re made both desperately need to become more efficient and better for the environment.
Yet this need for cars to be more eco-friendly is also an amazing challenge; an opportunity. It’s forcing the best and brightest car makers to be more innovative and dynamic, and is helping create some of the most exciting cars we’ve seen in decades… And BMW is at the forefront of this eco-friendly wave.
BMW was one of the first major car manufacturers to get on board with electric vehicles and remains a leader in the EV space to this day. For instance, the BMW i3 remains one of the best-selling EVs of all time, and the BMW i8 helped change the popular conception of what an electric car could be.
Now in 2022, the BMW Group has one of the largest electrified model ranges in the entire car industry, from the feisty MINI Electric Hatch to the luxurious BMW iX. There are even more exciting EVs on the way from the group, like the BMW XM (the first ground-up M car since the iconic M1 in 1978) and Rolls-Royce Spectre (Rolls-Royce’s first-ever electric car) that are both currently in development.
We’re personally looking forward to the arrival of the BMW i7, the first-ever all-electric 7 Series which is set to be one of the most luxurious electric cars to date.

BMW’s electric cars aren’t just efficient and high-tech, but they’re also exceptionally sporty and fun to drive. They prove that choosing an electric car means you don’t have to compromise, far from it: they’re still ‘Ultimate Driving Machines’.
But simply making electric cars is not enough. Electric cars might pollute less than traditional internal combustion engines but their production process is not without its own impacts; its own challenges. Car companies can’t just punt out EVs and say that doing that alone is saving the planet.
That’s why BMW’s mission – that the greenest electric car will be produced by BMW – isn’t just about the sustainability of their cars, but of the entire manufacturing process.
“Our mission: the GREENEST ELECTRIC CAR will be made by BMW. We are reducing CO₂ emissions per vehicle over the entire value chain. This is what sets the BMW Group apart.”
Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management, BMW AG
Case in point: for cars to be fast and/or efficient, they need to be light. To that end, BMW uses a lot of aluminium in their modern cars. Almost half of all the aluminium used in their Landshut plant, their largest components factory, is produced with green energy, which is saving almost 2.5 million tonnes of CO2 emissions over the next ten years.
BMW’s vehicles also utilise a wide variety of renewable raw materials and natural fibres such as hemp, kenaf and flax, which are not only better for the planet as they capture CO2, but also reduce a vehicle’s weight. Aluminium and renewable materials are just two examples of areas in which BMW is innovating to make the entire production process of a car better for the planet.

Some other examples: they’ve invented a closed-loop material cycle for the tungsten used in tools in their German and Austrian factories. They source sustainable cobalt and lithium for their batteries from Australia and Morocco, so as to not to contribute to ‘conflict materials’. Since 2021, all BMW sites have been net CO2-neutral via offsets.
They’ve also developed a novel process to recover more than 90% of the material from high-voltage batteries, with BMW operating over 3,000 collection points worldwide for the recycling of end-of-life vehicles – incredibly important going forward as more and more cars are battery-powered.
BMW’s commitment to sustainability and innovation can be seen in every part of the car-making process. Again, it’s not just good enough to make electric cars – it’s how you make electric cars that makes all the difference.
And that’s where BMW really shines. From city-dwelling crossover SUVs like the MINI Countryman Hybrid to sleek sports sedans like the BMW i4, all of BMW Group’s vehicles are made in innovative, sustainable ways – whilst also standing out as some of the best vehicles in their class – electrified or otherwise – when it comes to luxury, practicality and performance.
A better future doesn’t have to mean a boring future. Far from it.
Discover more about BMW’s sustainability initiatives as well as its diverse and exciting range of electric vehicles at their online showroom here.

It’s truly the end of an era – or should we say reign? Queen Elizabeth II has died at 96 years of age.
She was at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where she was spending the summer, and “died peacefully”, according to The Royal Family’s official Twitter account.
Queen Elizabeth began her reign in 1952, at just 25 years old, and continued to rule over the U.K. and 14 other commonwealth realms for 70 years. She was Britain’s longest-serving monarch.
The Queen’s firstborn son, Charles – formerly Prince of Wales and now, King Charles III – immediately ascended the throne, as per the British line of succession. Although it’s unclear at this stage when his coronation will take place.
Tributes for The Queen have poured in around the world. US President Joe Biden said in a statement, “Queen Elizabeth II led always with grace, an unwavering commitment to duty, and the incomparable power of her example,” while award-winning singer/songwriter Sir Elton John wrote on Twitter, “Along with the rest of the nation, I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s passing.”
RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Here are some of her most iconic moments worth celebrating upon her passing.

Queen Elizabeth II fires a British L85 battle rifle in Surrey, England in 1993. While she looks badass doing it, we’re a bit shocked by the lack of ear protection.

The Queen with a few of her corgis. Her lifelong love of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi began in 1933 with Dookie, the first corgi owned by her family. Throughout her life, the Queen owned more than 30 of the diminutive dogs, according to the American Kennel Club.

Liz out in Scotland behind the wheel of a Land Rover Defender. The Queen loved driving and has been spotted over the years driving a number of different Land Rover/Range Rover models. Before her 93rd birthday in 2019, she reportedly gave up driving on public roads voluntarily, something that no doubt pained her.

The Queen as a second subaltern in the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) during WWII in 1944, being visited on the job by the Queen Mother. Elizabeth would have been 18 at the time. Once she joined up, the then-Princess passed a military driving test, learned to read maps and repaired engines as a mechanic.

We’re big fans of Brad Pitt’s relaxed new aesthetic… But there’s such a thing as being too relaxed, as his latest outfit demonstrates.
The 58-year-old Hollywood superstar has currently been on a tear across the world promoting his latest film, the raucous ensemble cast action-comedy Bullet Train, during which he’s consistently shown up his co-stars thanks to his unique take on fashion.
Maybe it’s because of the hectic pace of this promo tour but Pitt’s been rocking some super comfy yet rather slick outfits which are helping shift the norm for what’s acceptable red carpet attire. Basically, it’s meant a lot of leisure suits and an inordinate amount of sneakers with suits.
But his latest lazy fit might be a step too far. On the red carpet at the 79th Venice International Film Festival for Blonde, the Marilyn Monroe biopic he’s a co-producer for, Pitt stepped out in a loose-fitting tuxedo, aviator sunglasses and a pair of black Adidas Gazelle sneakers (he’s been absolutely obsessed with Gazelles lately).

He’s actually committed three different style sins here. First, he’s done both buttons up on his jacket. Always remember the adage, gents: first sometimes, middle always, bottom never. In this case, he should have only done up the top button.
RELATED: How To Wear A Tuxedo To Master Black Tie Occasions
Second, he’s worn an ill-fitting suit – to the bloody Venice Film Festival! For a man with a net worth of around US$300 million, we’re sure he could afford a better tailor. Designer brands would also kill to have Brad wear one of their tuxes, too.
Most importantly, wearing athletic sneakers with a tux is a real no-no… Although, to be honest, we’re kind of happy to let this one slide. In fact, they arguably bring the outfit together: with the shades and baggy trousers, he looks a bit like a skater who’s been forced to dress formally in a hurry, which we kind of vibe with.

Ah Leo, you sly dog. The Hollywood star’s love life – which has been the office water cooler chat of the week – has taken an interesting new direction.
It all started when news emerged that the 47-year-old actor had dumped his girlfriend of five years, Argentine-American model and actress Camila Morrone – suspiciously not that long after she turned 25.
It’s a long-running joke at this point that Leo, who has had a string of romances with women much younger than him, only dates women until they turn 25… A joke that would be funnier and less worrisome if it wasn’t so true.
In the days since his breakup, the talk was that DiCaprio had moved on to 22-year-old Ukrainian model Maria Beregova (which would be rather on-brand for him) but now it seems that the woman he’s actually got on his mind is Gigi Hadid – which is rather shocking, because she’s 27. Ancient by Leo’s normal standards.
An anonymous source told Us Weekly that Leo is interested in the American supermodel, TV personality and Hadid family member, although apparently, it’s unrequited – as of yet:
“Leo does have his sights set on Gigi, but she hasn’t shown an interest… They’re friends, but she doesn’t want to be romantic with [him] right now. [She] doesn’t have her sights on him.”
Anonymous source

DiCaprio has apparently been friends with Gigi for a few years now, as well as her younger sister Bella and fellow supermodel Kendall Jenner.

As Metro reported back in 2019, DiCaprio has been spotted partying with the Hadids into the early hours at a popular Los Angeles nightclub. DiCaprio has also socialised with Bella (who is 25, by the way) in Cannes during film festival season.
You can make all the jokes you like about the age of his partners, but he also seems to be pretty one-note when it comes to their professions. They’re all models! Can’t you just settle down with a nice heiress or something, Leo?

Various flight attendants have revealed a few key things you can do to avoid getting sick while travelling on a plane – such as not brushing your teeth while up in the air.
There’s nothing worse than feeling sick during a flight or getting violently ill after disembarking from an aircraft. But as it turns out there are a few things you can do to ensure you don’t catch a nasty bug when you’re flying.
For instance, a flight attendant – who wished to remain anonymous – recently revealed to The Sun that you should never brush your teeth in a plane bathroom as it could make you seriously unwell.
“Do not clean your teeth in a plane loo. The water on a plane all comes from the same water tank and it is not filtered.”
The anonymous flight attendant also warned of how dirty plane bathrooms are in general because there are no windows or proper ventilation systems. They strongly advised always wearing a mask in the bathroom and never touching any surface in the bathroom – including the toilet seat and flush button.

This echoes a similar sentiment from Flight Bae B, a TikTok influencer who’s also a flight attendant, who said you should never touch the toilet paper in plane bathrooms as turbulence causes men to miss the bowl while peeing… Yuck.
Another tip to ensure you don’t get sick on a plane comes from Taylor Strickland, the lead cabin attendant for Alerion Aviation. She told Reader’s Digest that drinking lots of water is key.
“It’s dehydrating to fly, and if you’re dehydrated, your body is a little weaker, which makes it harder to fight off the germs you’re encountering.”
Taylor Strickland, Alerion Aviation flight attendant
However, if you want to follow Strickland’s advice, you’ll have to pick up some bottled water before you fly… Flight attendant Kat Kamalani claimed on TikTok earlier this year that plane water tanks are never cleaned. For this reason, Kamalani highly recommends avoiding tap water as well as tea and coffee while on a plane, as you’ll most likely get sick.
Finally, we’ve got bad news for those who enjoy looking out the window as a plane takes off: flight attendant Tommy Cimato disclosed to Chronicle Live that window seats have more germs than other seats and for that reason, you should never lean against the glass.

“Do not fall asleep or lean your head on the window. You are not the only one that has done that and you don’t know how many people or children have wiped their hands, or other things, all over the window.”
Essentially, if you don’t want to get sick, don’t touch anything on a plane – that’s the message we’re picking up from these various flight attendants. Of course, it’s kind of unavoidable to not touch anything, so we suggest keeping hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes nearby so you can whip them out whenever you’re inevitably forced to make contact with something during a flight.

Hot off the heels of their exciting EV6 electric car, Kia has just unveiled yet another needle-shifting EV that’s also shaping up to be a game-changer: the EV9.
Kia is on an absolute roll right now. The Korean brand, which was long known for making affordable, reliable cars, has now become known for making some of the most exciting, pulse-quickening cars on the market.
The one car that’s helped shift their image more than any other is the Kia EV6, a lithe, stylish electric crossover that’s quickly become the darling of the motoring press thanks to its combination of good looks, innovative design, sustainable bona fides as well as its impressive performance. It’s the most complete electric vehicle on the market.
Indeed, it’s so popular that the waiting list for an EV6 in Australia is reportedly almost 2 years long, prompting Kia Australia to secure more stock for EV-hungry Aussies.
The EV6 will be a tough act to follow – but it seems Kia’s next EV, the similarly-named EV9, is much more than just an encore. Indeed, it’s set to offer something no other car brand has in Australia: a properly off-road-capable EV.

First revealed as a concept car at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show and currently undergoing its final testing phase, the EV9 is a three-row, seven-seater SUV intended to be the brand’s next flagship model.
While we don’t know much about the car just yet – other than a promised 483km driving range and a 5-second 0/100km/h time – what we do know is that Kia’s putting it through a gruelling testing regimen including serious off-road testing in South Korea as well as urban testing in Belgium.
The production car does seem rather faithful to the concept car, which is 4930mm long, 2055mm wide and 1790mm tall, comparable to off-road favourites such as the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota LandCruiser. Ride height hasn’t been confirmed but the EV9 does seem to ride pretty high, which would certainly lend it well to off-road adventures.
RELATED: The Jeep Grand Cherokee L Is Better Than A Range Rover – & Half The Price
Without getting ahead of ourselves, we think the EV9 is just what Australia needs. Australians love big, luxurious, off-road-capable SUVs, but unlike other markets like the United States (which gets cool things like the GMC Hummer EV) there aren’t really any EVs you can take off-road here… Yet.
If Kia can get the EV9 here before off-roading EVs like the Rivian R1T and the Tesla Cybertruck make their way Down Under, they could easily corner the market for 4×4 EVs… And off-road-capable EVs are something Australian consumers desperately need.

“Kia Australia is keen to get its hands on as many EVs as we possibly can. While it hasn’t been confirmed for Australia, we’re very excited at the prospect of introducing the game-changing EV9 to the local range,” a Kia Australia spokesperson confirmed exclusively to DMARGE.
