Heard about Youfoodz but want to know how the meals and service measure up? Have we got the review for you.
Home delivery meal services offer everything you could need. Convenience, a range of dishes and cuisines and, perhaps best of all, you don’t need to spend too much more than you would on your weekly food shop.
Youfoodz is one such Australian meal delivery service that is on a mission to make Australia healthier, by delivering a range of meals created using fresh Australian ingredients. It’s been voted Australia’s best food delivery service 2022, so it must be doing something right.
I was keen to try out the Youfoodz service, predominantly for its range of FUEL’D high protein meals, having previously been a keen connoisseur of the popular My Muscle Chef meals, to see how they stacked up.
Whilst I wasn’t the one to review My Muscle Chef for DMARGE, being a keen gym-goer and wanting to make sure I had a high protein meal waiting for me when I got home from the gym is imperative, I would regularly turn to the meals for a quick and easy dose of the good stuff.
But I’m here to talk about Youfoodz, so, how much is it? how do the meals taste and ultimately, do I think they’re worth it? Read on to find out.
Is Youfoodz expensive?
If you’re turning to Youfoodz for the high protein FUEL’D meals, I think it’s fair to say that they’re not expensive at all. Each meal will cost you between $10.95 – $12.95 (which can be more affordable than cooking a meal for one from scratch). And, for those wanting to save a little bit of cash, Youfoodz offers bundles of either 7 or 9 FUEL’D meals. A 9 meal bundle will set you back $78 with a MIX-FUELD discount code. Youfoodz does pre-select which meals you’re going to receive, but you’re able to customise this in the cart.
To make sure I would be making a saving opting for the bundle, I added 7 meals to my cart. Youfoodz then applied an automatic discount since I was a first time customer, which brought my order total down to just over $33. So, if you’ve never tried Youfoodz before, it’s well worth giving it a go considering your first order will be so cheap.
Youfoodz does also offer snacks and drinks to help you with your protein intake (if your goal is to bulk up, of course) for between $2 – $10.
Does Youfoodz offer low calorie meals?
Absolutely. While other meal delivery services may be dedicated to the gym junkies out there, Youfoodz is, first and foremost, a service that delivers healthy, fresh meals. The vast majority of the company’s regular meals come in under 500 calories, and there is a simply huge selection to choose from.
The FUEL’D high protein meals, by comparison, all come in at 500 calories as a minimum, but can stretch up to 830 for the chipotle fried chicken.
Having such a large choice for both those wanting to lose weight and those wanting to gain it, is an incredibly good proposition in my eyes. And, while gym-goers will likely want to invest solely in the FUEL’D meals, it doesn’t hurt to have some of the regular meals on standby for a quick top-up.
What do Youfoodz meals taste like?

To be brutally honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of the taste of the majority of the meals I tried. Many of the meals come with a separate sachet of sauce, which you first need to remove from the meal before placing it in the microwave (you can separate the ingredients out to cook in the oven if you wish). I found that some of these sauces had a strange flavour to them.
The teriyaki sauce that comes with the Teriyaki Chicken Fried Rice, for example, I found to be a little unpleasant. This could just be my tastebuds not agreeing with it, but I didn’t feel like I’d want to eat it again, something I can’t say of other meals from other services.
The standout meals for me in the pack I received were the BBQ Pulled Pork from the FUEL’D range and the Creamy Mushroom Tortellini from the regular meal range. As a Brit, I did also enjoy the Roast Pork with Sweet Potato Mash and Cranberry Sauce as a substitute for a traditional roast dinner.
I didn’t get to try the entire meal selection Youfoodz offers, of course, and there are some others on the menu that I reckon could be incredibly tasty. The FUEL’D Loaded Mac & Cheese with Chicken is on my hit list.
Is Youfoodz hard to order?
Not at all. There is just one, easy-to-navigate menu page that shows you the entire selection of meals, which is broken down into categories. You just need to add whichever meals you want to your cart, go to the checkout, and you’re done. The meal bundles are towards the bottom of the page, so it’s worth scoping these out if you want to make the aforementioned savings.
You can also find Youfoodz meals in a range of supermarkets and other food outlets throughout Australia.
Does Youfoodz offer vegan or vegetarian meals?
Yes. One vegan meal. A Lentil Loaded Lasagne. I can’t speak for how this tastes, since I didn’t try it. Not only because I didn’t choose to receive it, but also because it’s vegan. I know it’s been claimed you can get ripped on a plant-based diet, but I’d rather stick to the old fashioned method of fuelling my body with rich, animal-based protein.
There is also a choice between four vegetarian meals, including a Pumpkin & Caramelised Onion Soup. These menu items get regularly rotated for variety and are also easy to filter on the menu.
Would I recommend Youfoodz?
Ultimately, I would. While I personally didn’t enjoy the taste of many of the meals, I can at least speak to how useful they are. I like to think of myself as a regular gym-goer, but post-pandemic I’ve found it hard to really get back into the swing of things and go at least four times a week.
Part of my lack of going up until now has been because I haven’t had meals to fuel my body with. I’ve been lazy, basically. However, knowing that there were Youfoodz meals in my fridge to eat for an entire week, I ended up going to the gym five times.
This is where I feel meal delivery services such as Youfoodz shine. As I mentioned at the start, they offer convenience in spades. In just two and a half to three and a half minutes in the microwave, you have yourself a hot meal packed with the essential nutrients you need to fuel your body after a workout.
You may be able to spend less if you meal prep for a week, but this will likely see you eating the same meal every single day – something that I have personally done before when I tried to eat like Chris Hemsworth. If you want to inject some variety into your meals, Youfoodz is definitely the way to go.

To achieve peak health, consuming key nutrients is vital and, while you can usually obtain all your essential vitamins and minerals from food, there is a wide range of vitamin supplements to help boost your overall health and wellbeing.
Men’s vitamins can support many health benefits, including heart health, immune health, prostate health and mental health.
They’re especially popular with athletes, there’s no shortage of premium vitamins out there, elevating muscle function, muscle restoration and energy levels to secure performance enhancement.
And, if you’re someone who has adopted a plant-based diet, then you won’t be able to obtain vitamin B12, an essential vitamin, as it can only be found in meat-based products.
While a healthy diet and fitness regimen is the best natural way to boost your vitamin levels, it sometimes isn’t enough, which is why you should consider taking extras to top you up. For instance, while Vitamin D is found in foods such as salmon, sardines, milk, cheese and orange juice, taking additional Vitamin D supplements can help absorb calcium, promotes bone health and can prevent colon cancer.
But in a market with so many vitamins on offer, finding trustworthy supplements can be a challenge, which is why we’ve broken down a few crucial elements to look out for…
Most Important Vitamins For Men
If you don’t have a degree in nutrition or you never listened in science class, then you might not even know which vitamins you need on a daily basis. But, with thanks to Healthline, we’re here to disclose which vitamins men need and signs of deficiency.
Vitamin D: You’re likely already aware that you can get vitamin D from sunlight, and it can also be found in various food sources. Vitamin D is important because it helps to regulate your immune system, ensuring it functions as it should. It also aids with the absorption of calcium, which is important for bone health.
Signs you are deficient in vitamin D include tiredness, aches, muscle pain or bone pain and stress fractures in the lower body. It is possible to have too much vitamin D in your body, and if you do, you can experience nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
Vitamin A: Vitamin A can be obtained through both animal-based food products and plant-based food such as fruits and vegetables. Vitamin A helps to support cell growth, boost immune function and support your vision and overall eye health.
You’re unlikely to be deficient in vitamin A, but it can happen. If you are deficient, it can be severe. If you are deficient, you are at risk of dying from measles or diarrhea.
It is possible to have too much vitamin A, and if you do, it can lead to serious consequences.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C is another essential vitamin that your body needs, but can’t produce on its own. It’s a well-known fact that vitamin C can be found in oranges. Vitamin C can help boost antioxidant levels, lower blood pressure, boost immunity and reduce heart disease.
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, and so isn’t stored in your body. Instead, it gets transported directly to body tissue via fluids. If there’s any leftover, it comes out as urine. This means it’s important to ensure you consume it regularly.
Magnesium: Magnesium is vital if you want your body to perform at an optimum level. It’s involved in several metabolic processes and is used to help build proteins. If your magnesium levels are low then it can lead to type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s.
You can get magnesium from the likes of nuts, seeds and green leafy vegetables, but these can often not provide enough of your recommended daily intake. Magnesium supplements are, therefore, practically essential.
Omega-3: Omega-3 fatty acids help to support your health from your head all the way down to your toes. They even support brain health. Areas that Omega-3s can have a notable effect include cardiovascular health and joint health.
You can obtain an abundant amount of Omega-3s from fish. But, if you don’t eat fish, or not enough of it then you can likely become deficient.
It’s important, or at least it’s recommended, that you take Omega-3 supplements. However, pay close attention to which ones you buy, as they don’t all have the same health benefits.
Features Of The Best Vitamins For Men
High-Quality Ingredients
This one is really a no brainer, as you want safe and high performing ingredients infused in supplements to achieve the best health results. While you might not expect a health product to contain any nasties, the fact remains, some lower quality products do.
Ensure your vitamins do not contain harmful chemicals, including parabens and nanoparticles. These ingredients can contribute to many chronic health issues, such as certain types of cancers and problems with the heart and liver. Ingredients must be scientifically supported through extensive testing and research.
Third-Party Testing
Speaking of testing, it’s not enough for the company to test their vitamins and minerals themselves; you want to make sure that supplements have received certification from outside health organisations, making them safe and effective. Men’s vitamins and minerals need to comply with Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations as well as the standards the Food and Drug Administration have set, to help organisations assure the vitamins are the correct identity, strength, purity and quality. Also, these guidelines ensure companies follow responsible and safe manufacturing, so their vitamin formulas don’t contain harmful ingredients or chemicals.
Transparency
To help build trust with customers, vitamin companies need to be highly transparent about their products to ensure safety while promising each product will deliver what the label says. Transparency is established through open communication between companies and their customers, cultivating a space where information is accessed easily. Companies need to reveal their manufacturing methods and the ingredients so each customer knows exactly what they’re putting into their body.
Lastly, we can’t stress enough before taking any vitamins, consult a health care provider to make sure these products are suitable for your body and meet all your health goals. It is recommended you have a blood test taken to check your current levels and to see if you are deficient in any essential vitamins.
Men’s Vitamins FAQs
Is it better to take men's vitamins in the morning or at night?
Morning is the best time to take multivitamins and any B vitamins. According to clinical nutritionist Neil Levinhey, these men's vitamins will help stimulate metabolism and brain functions best utilised during the day instead of night. Taking these supplements at night could overstimulate the brain, making it difficult to relax and sleep. Also, make sure you've eaten beforehand, as you can feel very sick taking vitamins on an empty stomach.
Should you take men's multivitamins every day?
Consume your multivitamins daily to secure better health and wellness. However, if you lead an unhealthy lifestyle, multivitamins won't act as an insurance policy. Multivitamins need to be consumed alongside a healthy diet and fitness regimen to work properly.
Is it okay to take men's vitamins?
When taking fat-soluble vitamins, be careful, as excess amounts can lead to headaches, liver damage, and weaker bones. Before taking any men's vitamins, seek professional medical advice to ensure you're consuming the appropriate amount.

When you think of cardigans, you may think of your dear old grandpa, but we are here to tell you that cardigans can be extremely fashionable. Now available in a multitude of styles – cable knits, double-breasted, lightweight, etc. – a cardigan can effortlessly give you a polished look while simultaneously keeping you cosy and warm.Cardigans, usually crafted from wool or cotton, are incredibly comfortable; as comfortable as the sweatshirt you lounge about in at home. However, unlike sweatshirts, cardigans are extremely versatile and can be worn to both casual and smart-casual affairs. The cardigan is named after British Army major general James Brudenell, the 7th Earl of Cardigan, because he accidentally burnt the tails off his knitted button tailcoat (what British officers often wore during the war) and the event was supposedly so ‘legendary’ that people then wanted their own version leading to the cardigan’s inception.
Cardigan FAQs
How do I style a cardigan?
It depends on what aesthetic you’re going for. For a simple classic look, you’ll want to style your cardigan with jeans and a t-shirt. For a more sophisticated and modern look, go for chinos and a thin turtleneck shirt in a neutral block colour. If you’re after a preppy style, pair your cardigan with a button-up shirt and chinos/trousers.

Men’s camo pants, or camouflage pants, have an interesting history when considering its now iconic fashion status. Camouflage print was first used during World War I to hide locations and equipment from enemies, and eventually, in the 1980s, was used to make official uniforms for the U.S. Army.
Camouflage print clothing was at its height of popularity in the 1980s but had been featured in Vogue as early as the 1940s. Today, camouflage print clothing is still extremely fashionable; for men, the most popular and stylish way to wear camouflage is through a pair of camo pants.

This Sunday, Fox will air (and Disney+ will release the episode shortly after) the latest episode of The Simpsons – Season 33, Episode 17 – and it’s one for the history books.
The episode, titled The Sound of Bleeding Gums, will follow Lisa meeting a new character, Monk, the son of the late jazz musician Bleeding Gums Murphy. OG Simpsons fans will know Bleeding Gums from multiple early Simpsons episodes and will remember him dying in the Season 6 episode, Round Springfield.
So why is the introduction of this new character, Monk, history-making? Well, the character is deaf and will be voiced by deaf voice actor, John Autry II. And this marks the first time a deaf voice actor will appear on The Simpsons. Autry himself has applauded the animated sitcom for this monumental decision, telling Variety,
“It’s so incredible… It’s life-changing equality and participation. This can impact change for all of us. It’s about hard of hearing and hearing characters coming together. It’s a part of history.”
The new Simpsons episode will also mark the first time American Sign Language (ASL) is used on the show. However, this – at first – proved difficult as all Simspons characters only have four, not five, fingers. The writer of the episode, Loni Steele Sosthand said,
“[It] was a little tricky, especially because the one thing we’re translating is Shakespeare. But I think we pulled it off.”
Sosthand’s brother, Eli Steele, who is deaf, will also voice a character in The Sound of Bleeding Gums, as will deaf comedian Kathy Buckley and Kaylee Arellano, Ian Mayorga and Hazel Lopez, three deaf children from No Limits, a nonprofit devoted to deaf children.
As much as I personally believe that The Simpsons has lost its touch, I will admit that some of the new episodes are good and I think this new episode which will provide long overdue representation for deaf viewers will definitely be one of them, and therefore can’t wait for it to air.

Tumbles, turns and injuries are phrases you’d associate with Pamplona’s running of the bulls, not Sydney’s domestic Qantas terminal.
But with the Easter holiday rush now beginning, that domesticated zone of Piccolo Lattes and RM Williams is giving Sydney’s concrete cowboys the chance to put their footwear to the test. Lines are stretching out so far that Sydney Airport’s CEO Geoff Culbert is urging travellers to get to the airport early so they don’t miss their flight.
Same over here mate. pic.twitter.com/UJloRD59LD
— Dr Sam (@DrSamHay) April 7, 2022
Culbert blamed the Thursday delays on a “perfect storm” of increased flights, travellers forgetting what they’re doing thanks to the pandemic, and staffing issues caused by close contact rules.

Footage on social media showed nightmare queues. On Twitter, University of New South Wales journalism lecturer Sue Stephenson said there were “thousands spilling over into carpark next to terminal” and asked “how many flights are going to be missed?”

Tiger Woods is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to have ever graced the game of golf. He is currently tied with golfing royalty Jack Nicklaus for number of PGA Tour wins and sits second behind the great man in terms of major championship wins, with 15, compared to Jack Nicklaus’ 18.
Tiger’s life on and off the golf course have been on the receiving end of equal amounts of media attention, and he has looked to have hung up his golf clubs on several previous occasions. His most recent retirement scare came in February 2021 when he was involved in a near-fatal car accident, which saw him suffer a shattered ankle and compound fractures in both legs.
But, in true professional and fighting spirit, Tiger Woods will compete in the 2022 Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. He’s even been quoted as saying he believes he can win it. It won’t just be the golf community that will be glued to their screens from April 7th – 10th, but much of the world will be eagerly awaiting to see if Tiger can produce (another) one of the greatest sporting comebacks in recent memory.
However, Tiger appears to already be on the verge of completing another major comeback and it all revolves around his hair.
Tiger Woods has never been a man to sport a completely full head of hair and it’s often difficult to find pictures of him, or indeed even see him, without his trademark baseball cap atop his head. But, find such an image and it’s clear he has suffered from male pattern baldness, otherwise known as androgenetic alopecia.
According to Medline Plus, this is a common form of hair loss in both men and women (it’s not the exact same cause of hair loss for Jada Pinkett Smith, which became the butt of a Chris Rock joke at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony) and sees the hair become thin and lost above the temples and crown, and eventually sees the hairline recede.
The main cause of this form of alopecia is a “heightened sensitivity of scalp follicles to dihydrotestosterone (DHT)”, according to a report published in the National Library of Medicine.
Tiger Woods may have only recently started treatment, since some recent images of him during preview rounds for the Masters show him with a slight bald spot around his crown still. However, the image at the top of this article clearly show a comeback of his hairline.
DMARGE has previously spoken with David Allen, who has undergone a hair transplant himself and has started his own business providing hair loss solutions for men, about hair transplants. He’s previously told us “You can inherit DHT from either parent. DHT causes the hair follicles to go through a process called miniaturisation. The hair becomes weaker and weaker and thinner until it can’t push through the skin anymore, so the skin grows over it.”
“For some reason, and nobody really knows why, but DHT doesn’t affect the hair on the sides and back of your head.”
It’s not completely clear what kind of treatment Tiger Woods has undergone, but considering his wealth, it’s most likely going to have been Follicular Unit Extraction. This, David Allen has told us, sees hairs taken from the back and sides of the head, which are then individually planted into the follicles on the top of the head.
Tiger Woods isn’t the only male celebrity to have undergone an alleged hair transplant, as Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, footballer Wayne Rooney and actor Joel McHale all appear to have undergone treatment to great effect.
The 2022 Masters will tee off on Thursday 7th April 10.34am ET/Friday 8th April 12.34am AEST, with Tiger Woods in the first group alongside Louis Oosthuizen and Joaquin Niemann. Australian viewers can watch all the action via the Kayo sports streaming service.
