With the highly anticipated series Obi-Wan Kenobi debuting in just over a week, now is the time to start rewatching Star Wars films. And I’m here today to say something that is rather contentious: the third Star Wars film, Revenge of the Sith is NOT a bad film. In fact, I’d argue it’s a bloody good film.
The film – set three years into the Clone Wars and nineteen years before the events of the OG Star Wars film, A New Hope – essentially follows skilled Jedi Knight, Anakin Skywalker as he turns against his mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi and explores how he became Darth Vader.
Look, I’ll admit that the original Star Wars films, Episodes IV, V and VI, are impeccably good but Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith comes pretty close to their level of ‘good’. First of all, the beautiful cinematography and incredible visual effects of the opening action-packed scene are breathtaking.

Also, the plot of Revenge of the Sith is intriguing. Knowing exactly how a villain fell from grace and became the ‘bad guy’ is such a thrilling and thought-provoking film device.
Plus, the music from John Williams is sensational as is Ewan McGregor’s performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi. There’s a reason he was asked to reprise his role in the upcoming series that’ll focus on Obi-Wan, and it’s because he’s a damn fine actor.
Not to mention the iconic and enthralling duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin, played by Hayden Christensen – who is also set to appear in the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Also, the emotional discourse between the two post-fight (which you can watch below) is heartwrenching. The line, “You were the chosen one!” gets me every time.
Now, I know some Star Wars fans are going to entirely disagree and be rather outraged that I dared to make the point that one of the prequels is just as good as Star Wars IV-VI. I know the main critiques are that the dialogue in Star Wars I-III is too simple and that Ja Ja Binks is the most annoying character of all time.
To them, I say, yes the dialogue is simple but it allows children and younger generations to understand the plot and fall in love with the Star Wars universe. And hey, sometimes simple dialogue is miles better than convoluted nonsense that no one can make sense of. Plus, the simplicity makes Revenge of the Sith extremely quotable. I mean, who hasn’t yelled, “UNLIMITED POWER”?
And as for Ja Ja Binks, I have no defence. He is annoying but hey, he only has one line in Revenge of the Sith, meaning the film is not really ruined by his presence as it’s incredibly fleeting.
I guess what I’m trying to say is Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith did not deserve the copious amount of hate it got upon its release in 2005, and it’s time we all apologise to it and realise it’s definitely worth rewatching.

The HIA-CSR has announced the winner of ‘Australian Home of the Year’ and it’s a no-brainer as to why this incredible house was chosen to receive the award. With impeccable architecture and construction as well as awesome features, you’ll get serious house envy when you take a look at the property…
If you’re one of those lucky few who thinks they’ve found their dream home, well think again, because the Housing Industry Association has just announced the winner of their HIA-CSR Australian Home of the Year Award – and it might just be the coolest house you’ll ever see.
The double-story house, located in Noosa Heads in Queensland, has a unique architectural design and is made with concrete and timber, giving the house a modern and clean look. However, draped beautifully over the exterior are lush plants and greenery, which softens the angular lines of the house and, ultimately, gives the property cool ‘urban meets jungle’ vibes.

With five bedrooms and four bathrooms, the house also boasts views of the Noosa River as well as a courtyard and a private garden accessible only from the master bedroom. Plus, we haven’t even mentioned the best features of the house yet:
A window-framed pool and a glass temperature-controlled wine cellar. Talk about luxury.

This home was designed by Lockyer Architects and was built by JW Constructions. The managing director of JW Constructions, Jason Warren spoke to Sunshine Coast News and said that he was just thrilled he was able to bring his client’s [the homeowners] vision to life and provide them with their dream home – a challenging feat as they were stuck overseas thanks to COVID, and were unable to oversee construction.
“For them to put faith and their vision in our hands is rewarding. I feel privileged to be able to work on such an amazing design and be a part of bringing a person’s dream to life…”
Jason Warren, managing director of JW Constructions

We have a feeling this house will soon be replicated all over the country because it’s so well-designed and, let’s be honest, just straight-up cool.

As the Australian economy continues to befuddle investors and punters, we asked the experts what Aussies can actually expect to happen in the world of money over the coming months…
The Australian economy is in a pretty funky spot right now. The cost of living has ballooned as a result of surging global inflation and interest rates are being cranked up by the RBA while housing prices continue to pump upwards.
The price of stocks and other investable assets are tumbling and rumours of a “post-election housing crash” are doing the rounds – creating a strange environment where there’s seemingly no good place for everyday people to keep their money safe.
Financial anxiety is high as Australians everywhere are wondering what on Earth is going to happen to the economy in the coming months. So to clear up the uncertainty, DMARGE decided to ask around and figure out what the real experts think the future has in store for Aussies.
Speaking to Brodie Haupt, the co-founder of digital lending provider WLTH, we asked where he thinks interest rates are headed in the long term.
Haupt said that he expects the RBA’s current “tightening cycle” to continue to around mid next-year, as interest rates begin to increase:
“In the short term, I expect the cash rate to reach the 1% mark by the end of 2022, with the first 0.15 per cent increase to come as early as May. The tightening cycle may continue till around mid 2023 and hover around the 1.25 – 1.50 per cent range, as long as inflation fits into the target band and falling unemployment softens the blow from higher interest rates.”
Haupt added that while long-term predictions about interest rates are hard to predict, potential borrowers will need to keep a close eye on the cash rate moving forward.
“In the long term, it is really difficult to predict. While I don’t think interest rates will reach those record-lows we’ve experienced during the pandemic, the RBA needs to take into account the higher debt-to-income ratio many Australians generally have. Australia hasn’t seen a cash rate rise in over a decade, so new borrowers will need to make the necessary preparations.”
When asked about whether or not the Australian housing market is primed for a downturn, Haupt was confident that while the market may slow down, he doesn’t believe that a real crash is likely.
“I don’t envisage that there will be a housing crash anytime soon.”
“Australia has multiple housing markets, each with varying factors affecting it. The Sydney market, in particular, may slow down but remain on an upward trend as history would show.”
Haupt also noted that the recently-introduced First Home Buyers Guarantee was a good move from the government for solving some of the housing affordability problems. The 2021 Federal Budget outlined that it would be increasing the number of guarantees under the Home Guarantee Scheme to 50,000 per year for 3 years from 2022 and then 35,000 a year ongoing to support homebuyers to purchase a home with a lower deposit.
“This will assist homebuyers to purchase or build a new home without the restriction of lenders mortgage insurance, meaning they can borrow up to 95 per cent of the properties value without having to pay Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI). This helps more buyers get into properties with less deposit and buy or build their first home sooner.”

Many athletes try their hand at making music once they’ve made it big, and few make the transition successfully: just think about Shaquille O’Neal’s rap career in the 90s or Manny Pacquiao’s ill-fated stint as a pop singer. Similarly, few musicians successfully become athletes – which is why Cody Simpson’s story is so interesting.
Before the 25-year-old Gold Coast native’s meteoric rise into a global pop star at the age of 13, he was a rather talented swimmer, having won two gold medals at the 2009 Queensland Swimming Championships. Once he started making in-roads as a singer/songwriter, he had to put his swimming career on hold.
However, back in 2019, it emerged that he’d picked up his swimming again, making it onto the University of Southern California elite swim team and training under two-time Aussie Olympian Brett Hawke. Last year, Cody qualified for the Australian Olympic trials in the 100m butterfly – although despite setting personal best times, he failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics proper.
Now, in 2022, Cody’s finally done it. On Wednesday, he finished third in the 100m butterfly to secure a dream call-up to the Dolphins, Australia’s national swim squad at the Australian Swimming Championships in Adelaide. This means we’ll see him represent Australia at the FINA World Championships as well as the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

What an absolute bloody champ. The Sydney Morning Herald has called it “one of the most remarkable stories in Australian sport” and we’d tend to agree with them.
“[It’s] a dream come true,” Simpson said after his race on Wednesday night.
“I’ve just been busting my arse all year so it’s amazing to see results like this pay off… I only started training a little under two years after 10-11 years out of the water. I didn’t think I’d be remotely competitive, racing this year at the earliest. To potentially make a team already is just a bonus on the way to [the next Olympics in] Paris.”
We wonder if Miley Cyrus regrets breaking up with him…

The inaugural Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix earlier this month saw a bunch of celebrities in attendance – James Corden, Pharrell, Venus and Serena Williams… But the star that got the most attention was Francis Bourgeois, the TikTok-famous trainspotter who’s become a cultural icon.
If you’re not familiar with Francis, check out our handy explainer here. Essentially, he’s a young Brit whose enthusiastic love for trainspotting and eclectic filming style – where he straps a GoPro to his head facing at him to capture his reaction in a fish-eye view – have endeared him to millions of fans across TikTok and Instagram.
Francis was brought along to Miami by Coral Eyewear, one of Williams’ sponsors. The charming 21-year-old made the most of it, sitting in a Williams F1 car, watching cars speed by at the pit wall and joking around with drivers Alex Albon and Lando Norris. He seemed at home on the grid.
He was so at home on the grid that we think should be a more permanent fixture of F1. Indeed, we reckon he should take over the famous ‘grid walk’ from Sky Sports F1 journalist Martin Brundle.
Brundle’s pre-race grid walks have become a much-loved part of an F1 weekend but there’s increasingly a feeling that the 62-year-old former F1 driver is a bit embarrassing. Recent gaffes at Miami and at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year have led many to question whether or not Brundle’s the right man for the job.
RELATED: The Miami Grand Prix Has Us Asking: When Did Formula 1 Get So Cringey?
As far as we’re concerned, the often awkward nature of Brundle’s grid walk is half the appeal – but if you’re going to be awkward, you may as well steer into the skid, to use a motoring metaphor. Francis Bourgeoise’s awkward but affable character would be of enormous entertainment value. Imagine him having a chat with DJ Khaled while wearing a GoPro!
It would also do wonders for F1’s continued growth, particularly in America. There’s a reason celebrities – even social media celebrities like Francis – are increasingly being invited along to race days. Their popularity helps get new, younger fans interested in the sport, which is all part of F1 owners Liberty Media’s commercial strategy.
That said, we don’t see Francis giving up his love of trainspotting for an F1 gig. Race cars might be as fast as bullet trains but they’re not quite the same…

It can be super challenging dating someone with vastly different political beliefs. But after DMARGE exclusively spoke to dating expert, Samantha Jayne, it turns out that having opposing political views to your partner doesn’t necessarily mean the relationship is doomed…
With the federal election looming this weekend, you’ve probably found yourself hearing and seeing a lot about politics. Perhaps you’ve had an argument with a family member about Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese, or maybe you’ve had to bite your tongue when a co-worker started running their mouth about their political beliefs.
But what about your partner? Have you actually sat down with them and discussed their politics? If it’s early in your relationship and you’re still in that ‘honeymoon phase,’ you probably haven’t discussed it in great depth.
But what do you do when you’ve been together for quite some time and you’re perfectly content in all other areas of your relationship but then realise they are super conservative while you lean more towards the left (or vice versa)?
After chatting with a few of my friends, I learned that there are vastly different experiences when it comes to dating and politics. Some friends said that if a date admitted to having differing political views early on, they’d cut and run immediately as it’s a total deal-breaker.
Other friends have had long term relationships with people who had differing beliefs and found it was either always discussed with respect and rationale, or they avoided the entire subject altogether out of fear of starting a fight – as you can guess, these types of relationships weren’t healthy and have now ended.
I then reached out to Samantha Jayne – relationship expert, dating coach and advisor on The Bachelor Australia – to discuss what to do if you’re dating someone with completely different political views and whether the relationship is inevitably doomed.
“Politics can be a part of the screening process so naturally, dating someone with different political views can be challenging. If you have opposing views, it doesn’t have to be a deal-breaker; you can carefully work around it.”
Samantha Jayne

Samantha advises that you need to approach the subject calmly and respectfully, and be open to listening to their point of view rather than forcing your views upon them.
“Ask questions about why your partner holds their perspectives; it’s better to be curious and try to understand them than force them to change their opinion… Listen to your partner’s beliefs, rather than defending your different viewpoints [and] acknowledge that you may not change their mind.”
Samantha Jayne
Zeroing in on what beliefs or values you do have in common (political or not) is super important as well, says Samantha, as it allows you to tackle your differences together as a team, rather than as individuals on opposing sides.
“Focus on the dreams and goals you have in common; when you focus on similarities and shared values this helps you navigate through issues without feeling like enemies.”
Samantha Jayne
However, Samantha cautions that if you’re finding that having differing political views with your partner is causing fights and putting strain on both the relationship and you as an individual, you may have to walk away.
“Know your limits; if you find you simply can’t agree and you are experiencing unnecessary conflict and stress… ask yourself, ‘Is this worth it?’ It’s not worth the drama if your relationship becomes toxic.”
Samantha Jayne
Overall, I’ve come to the conclusion that you do not have to have the same political beliefs as your partner, as long as you can respect and understand why your partner has those different views, and that whenever you discuss politics you remain civil. As Samantha perfectly sums it up:
“Always remember communication is key; if your [political] views are differing it’s important to practise active listening, acknowledge, be present and make your partner feel heard.”
Samantha Jayne

A man has been sprung filming a woman’s feet on a flight, and then brazenly editing the photo, while sitting right next to her. The internet is now divided as to what the woman should have done, and whether she knew the man or not.
TikTok user @alibedrossian has stoked discussion among her 5,000 odd followers (and the 5.9 million people who watched her video), posting a video of a man filming her feet on a flight.
The video shows a man sneakily aiming his phone at @alibedrossian’s feet (@alibedrossian was wearing sandals at the time) before lifting his phone up and checking out his footage, and even editing it.
She captioned the clip “cuz wtf am I supposed to say” with the hashtags ‘weirdo,’ ‘delta’ and ‘floridaman.’ Despite many people in the comments accusing her of staging the clip (“can’t trust influencers for this to be real. Probably knows the dude. Lol”), she claims she did not know the man.
“I do have shoes on and no I don’t know the guy,” @alibedrossian wrote.
Other commenters picked up on other aspects of the story, such as the “remarkable amount of legroom.” Others explained how that same situation would have made them feel.
“That would have toe-tally ruined my flight.”
“I would’ve been like ‘and that will be $50′” another said. Yet another said: “I would have said ‘pay me and I won’t tell.'”
“IN PLAN SIGHT?!!??!!!!!”
Other users shared stories of times this had happened to them. One woman wrote: “This happened to me at a restaurant and his phone made a sound and flash pointed at my feet I still didn’t say nothing.”
Perhaps the best recommendation was as follows (if the clip is true, not staged): “id call over an attendant and loudly be like ‘HEY THIS GUY KEEPS TAKING PICS OF MY FEET CAN I HAVE A DIFFERENT SEAT PLS.'”

Money Heist (also named La Casa De Papel) is hands down one of the most thrilling and engaging crime dramas in recent history. With that being said, the ending was a tad underwhelming. Spoiler alert: the following article contains spoilers for both Money Heist and Game of Thrones.
The Spanish television series, Money Heist was exceptionally well-written throughout. But that meant it was almost impossible for the writers to give fans a truly satisfying ending. This is because fans became so accustomed to flawless plotlines, they ultimately formed unrealistic expectations for the finale.
But from the beginning of Money Heist, viewers were encouraged to root for the gang to succeed in their heist. And after pulling off their Royal Mint of Spain robbery in Season 2, it was almost obvious that the gang would, of course, once again triumph in their Bank of Spain heist.
RELATED: Achtung!! A ‘Berlin’ Money Heist Spinoff Is In The Works
Which they did, in an almost clichéd happy ending – leaving many fans discontented with the ending, as it was ‘unrealistic’. Yes, the idea that the government would let the gang go without facing any sort of consequences for their actions bordered on illogical but the whole series was unfeasible, in many ways, from the beginning.
So, if you can suspend your reality to watch the entire five seasons, surely you can keep it suspended for the final moments of the last episode too?

Many fans also wished the series had ended on a more bittersweet note with more characters tragically dying. But after Tokyo – who narrated the entire series from episode one – died, I’m sure the writers felt that the gang had lost an integral character and therefore, it would have been too much for anyone else to die (especially considering that over the course of the series, Oslo, Moscow, Berlin and Nairobi also died).
I’m of the opinion that the writers did the best they could; if more characters had died or if the gang ended up going to jail, I think the Money Heist finale would’ve been universally hated. Whereas, the finale, as is, was okay; not good, not great but also not bad.
RELATED: Money Heist Fans Need To Watch This Pedro Alonso Movie
Which I think was intentional. The writers probably decided early on not to take any risks with the ending, as an okay ending is far superior to a terrible ending – think about how much flack the writers of Game of Thrones copped for their dismal finale, which was heavily criticised due to its radical plotlines like Daenerys snap-changing into the mad queen and Bran becoming king.
Overall, yes the ending to Money Heist wasn’t as good as previous episodes in the series and wasn’t a strong ten out of ten (AKA kind of shit). However, in this day and age, it’s rare for a television series to end ‘perfectly’ and so, a slightly above-average ending is much better than a complete and utter disastrous ending – meaning Money Heist’s kind-of-shit-finale could actually be considered as good…

Breaking Bad and Ozark are both considered extremely good shows; both have won numerous awards and are extremely bingeable or ‘addictive’ – once you start, you can’t stop until you finish the whole series. But what sets these two shows apart? In my opinion, it all comes down to the writers…
Spoiler alert: the following article contains major spoilers for Breaking Bad and Ozark.
Both Breaking Bad and Ozark are extremely popular and critically acclaimed crime-drama series. But what makes them so well-liked? In my humble opinion, it comes down to two main things.
The first thing is the characters. In both Breaking Bad and Ozark, the main characters have rich, complex backstories that make them seem almost like real people. Plus, they are extremely relatable – albeit on a slightly exaggerated scale; for example, the characters have moments that viewers would have experienced in real life but also – because they’re fictional – can indulge in things viewers would love to do, but never would out of fear.
Take Breaking Bad’s leading man, Walter White. He starts off as a high school chemistry teacher – an extremely common profession – who is meek and has spent his whole life doing what’s right and putting others first, but despite that, is struggling to make ends meet – a feeling pretty much everyone has experienced at least once in their life.

But then after learning he’s terminally ill, Walt slowly breaks free of society’s shackles and starts prioritising what’s important to him, and him alone. He is no longer afraid of consequences and begins to manufacture meth to financially support his family – a rather noble justification for his illegal activity. This again, makes viewers sympathetic to Walt but also forces viewers to feel slightly in awe of Walt for actually engaging in such reckless behaviour.
Then over the course of the series, Walt slowly becomes darker and clearly his motivations for manufacturing meth change. But this character development keeps the show somewhat realistic and makes Walt seem like a real person.
Similarly, when we first meet Marty Byrde from Ozark, he’s disillusioned with his life; which is rather dull and… relatable. Everyone can relate to feeling distracted at work because it’s not particularly stimulating and feeling out of touch with your family.
RELATED: What Breaking Bad Stars Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul’s Relationship Is Like In Real Life
But then, even as the first episode of the series wraps up we learn that Marty has a dangerous streak and has been laundering money – something risky that viewers would never do but something that viewers would also slightly envy; who wouldn’t want millions of dollars?
And it’s not just Walt and Marty. The characters Jesse, Hank, Walt Jr., Saul, Mike and, hell, even Skylar have both relatable and realistic moments over the course of Breaking Bad, just like Ozark’s Wendy, Ruth, Ben, etc. do too. Essentially, Breaking Bad and Ozark have an abundance of characters who are extremely well-written – and played to perfection by the actors – that fascinate viewers and draw them in.
The second reason Breaking Bad and Ozark are so damn good is because the plotlines are intriguing but never convoluted. The respective writers of each show clearly had a vision from the beginning that never wavered; Walt was always going to die and Marty was always going to get away with his various misdeeds.

Sure, both series threw some plot twists and shocking revelations at us – which kept things interesting – but the writers never backed themselves into a corner by introducing too many storylines or characters.
Think of Lost and Game of Thrones – both shows were considered the absolute peak of television when they were first released but by the last seasons, too many loose ends were left untied and too many gaping plot holes were present because both narratives got way too complex; the writers added too many ‘twists’ in an attempt to surprise and excite viewers but because these later twists were thrown in last-minute and never explained or explored properly, they were just disappointing.
Whereas, the twists in Breaking Bad and Ozark always made sense and there were even red herrings leading up to each twist that viewers would notice on a second viewing.
RELATED: Where Ozark Star Jason Bateman’s Career Will Likely Go Next
Ultimately, what makes Breaking Bad and Ozark so outstanding, and almost addictive, is exceptional writing – both the writing of the characters and the plotlines – and excellent performances from the cast, as they bring the realistic and relatable characters to life.
But don’t just take my word for it. If you haven’t seen either Breaking Bad or Ozark, get watching! And yes, while this article contained a few spoilers for both shows, (why did you keep reading after the spoiler warning at the top?!) I promise, you’ll still highly enjoy both series and be genuinely surprised by the many awesome plotlines not discussed here.
