Watch Jeff Bezos’ Girlfriend Put The Moves On Leonardo DiCaprio

Yet again Leonardo DiCaprio proves how irresistible he is. Footage has emerged of Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend, Lauren Sánchez, chatting with him (with Bezos at her side) at the Film Gala in LA.

Bezos has been romantically linked to Sanchez since 2019, after separating from his wife of 25 years, Mackenzie Scott.

The exchange between DiCaprio and Sanchez has gone viral, with Instagram account @timeneverlieschico being one of the many outlets to share the clip.

Some choice comments emerged from their fan base. The comments ranged from sympathy (“don’t blame her”) to wild speculation (“she gave him those bedroom eyes”).

The exchange also seemed to give the romantics of Instagram a flash of hope. One wrote: “Just to show money doesn’t mean a thing.”

Instagram user @margaretintheskywithdiamonds also expressed their sympathy, writing: “Oooooh man the way she’s looking at Leo 🤣.”Another quip, from another cheeky follower, was: “… if this is chatting…🧛.”“If I was Jeff, I’d be concerned…”, another follower thew on the pile.

Speaking of being concerned, Bezos, in good humour (presumably), took to Twitter, later on, to share the following light-hearted warning to DiCaprio.

Mr Steal Yo’ Girl indeed…

‘Hidden Costs Of A Honeymoon In The Maldives’
‘Hidden Costs Of A Honeymoon In The Maldives’

There are a lot of costs to factor in when deciding to honeymoon in the Maldives: the flights, your villa, the envy likely to be directed at you by friends upon your return…

But there are a few expenses you might easily forget to factor in – or simply not realise exist in the first place. To that end, we have done some digging to ensure you are well informed before you go.

Enter: the following video by Zachary Abel (@zacharyburrabel), American actor from Make It or Break It, who is also a bit of a travel blogger.

He has previously taken to the airwaves to complain about “the worst part about” being in a glass-bottom bathtub in an overwater villa in the Maldives (with his tongue firmly wedged in cheek). What caught our attention today, however, is a video he posted a little while back to Instagram. The video runs through a bunch of extra costs which may catch you unawares if you take a trip to the Maldives.

5 hidden costs of a honeymoon in the Maldives, that most travel bloggers won’t tell you about (according to Zachary Abel)

The first cost? Transport to each resort costs between $500 and $700 per person, Abel claims. He then says food is $150 to $200 a day per person.

He then wrote, “Like the spa? Massages are $200+.” On top of that there are PCR tests, which are $120+, he says, and “activities start at $100 a person.”

Whack all that into the calculator and you have an unexpected extra bill of about $2,245 per person, for a week-long stay (if you eat every day and have one massage, one PCR test and do one activity).

Maybe the see-through bathtub isn’t the worst thing about a holiday in the Maldives after all…

Expert Relationship Advice Every Man Needs To Know In 2021
Expert Relationship Advice Every Man Needs To Know In 2021

You may walk into the bedroom as confidently as you do the boardroom, and think that you are god’s gift to your partner. But, that may not always be the case. Just because you know your own body and what you do and don’t like, doesn’t mean you have an automatic understanding of your partner’s needs.

Communication is key, after all, and if you’re too proud or arrogant to take the advice or guidance of your partner, then you can’t expect too many good responses to, “Woah, that was great, was that good for you?”

Fortunately, if you’ve found yourself in a bit of a rut, we’ve reached out to one of Australia’s leading dating and relationship coaches, Samantha Jayne, to find out her top bedroom (and relationship) advice you should be taking on board for2022.

What Happens Outside Of The Bedroom, Significantly Impacts What Happens In The Bedroom

Samantha’s first tip refers to the fact you can’t just expect to go about your daily lives and assume all will be well in the bedroom; things can become predictable and stagnate.

“What I mean by that is meeting each other’s needs and/or love languages, such as being kind, affectionate and meeting your partner’s need for variety and adventure. This could going on dates and making them feel important which is all about feeling significant and valued, meeting their need for certainty such as feeling safe.”

“If you want to have a good sex life then you need to fill your partner’s emotional bank, so that they will want to connect with you and it builds a closer bond. With a closer bond, brings more desire.”

“If you argue or give ultimatums and they feel like they are second to the rest of the things in your life, then intimacy will suffer and so will sex.”

Watch Your Emotions

We can all get irritated, agitated or even angry at various situations, even petty ones, such as breaking a glass or stubbing your toe on the coffee table. These outbursts, especially those that involve you arguing with your partner, could impact your sex life more than you may think.

“Anger is a turn off,” Samantha relates. “It kills attraction, as do conditions; ‘if you do this then that will happen, or if you don’t do this then there will be consequences.'”

“Showing feelings of love, appreciation, and support will bring you closer together outside of the bedroom, which opens up the opportunity to reconnect and then explore each others’ needs and wants.”

Date Night

We may talk incessantly about the importance of first, second or third dates in the potential lead up to a full-blown relationship, and many couples may feel they no longer need to ‘date’ since they’re already in a committed relationship. Samantha says this way of thinking needs to change.

“Remember, no matter how long you have been together, you must date each other. Take them out some time to turn off Netflix and social media and go and explore a new location, have a weekend away, try a new restaurant. Adding excitement into your life will spice things up for sure.”

“Spice things up by giving each other a massage with candles, and it could be a good opportunity for role play to see how responsive your partner is. If nerves get in the way, a little dutch courage goes a long way, so bring out the champers and wine.”

Communicate

We alluded to it at the beginning of this article, but communication really is an important factor with regards to maintaining a healthy relationship, according to Samantha.

“This means spicing things up in the bedroom. You can talk about what you want in a way in which it inspires your partner, rather than diving into demands of ‘I want you to do this’, say something like, ‘I like it when you…it feels so good..you know what else I’d really like?’. It’s the perfect structure to softly get what you want and educate your partner.”

Get Fit!

Chances are many of us piled on the Covid kilos during the numerous lockdowns placed upon us over the past couple of years. It’s understandable, but now lockdowns are pretty much a thing of the past, it’s time to get back in the saddle and work on becoming a healthier you.

“Being fit increases endorphins and makes you look and feel better, which will naturally increase desire from your partner,” Samantha adds.

“You can get hot and sweaty together, your partner will love seeing you lift weights and your veins pumping. You could even start to make suggestions about what you want when you’re finished, being suggestive is key to spicing up the relationship.”

“Try something new: new lingeries, an erotic movie, tantra. The new experience will add excitement and spice things up. Talk about what you like vs. what you want.

So, there we have it fellas, some foolproof advice that will inevitably improve your relationship. Now, just don’t tell your partner you’ve read this page, take the advice on board and you’ll have them pleasantly surprised in no time.

Terrifying Video Shows Giant Tarantula Captured On A Passenger Flight
Terrifying Video Shows Giant Tarantula Captured On A Passenger Flight

Watch a man escort a tarantula away from airline passengers in the video below

From first-class passengers yelling at flight staff because their Macadamia nuts were served in a packet rather than on a plate, to economy passengers doing ‘in seat’ yoga mid-flight, there are enough bizarre stories that have occurred at 40,000ft to fill a Homerian Odyssey.

But it’s not just passenger interactions that can sound like a jungle – in some rare cases the cabin literally turns into a wilderness, when animals decide to hitch a ride to another country.

Case in point: the above video, taken on a flight which appears to either be going to Brazil or Mexico, by Instagram user @directorbrazil. He wrote: “So this just happened on my flight…”

“There was a tarantula on the plane. This guy captured it while we were flying.”

The video was posted to Instagram 9 weeks ago by @directorbrazil. It was then reposted to Instagram by popular account Passenger Shaming. Comments are still now, in November, rolling in on the post, with travellers continuing to share how badly the video made them wince.

The video shows a man escorting a huge spider away from passengers in some kind of see-through bag, while flyers look on with fear in their eyes and smartphones in their hands. The video featured a text overlay that read: “Nope,” which sums up most peoples’ reactions to the clip.

Passenger Shaming captioned the video: “Tarantula chillin’ on a flight is escorted off by man who caught him hitching a ride.”

Though the video was posted 9 weeks ago, as recently as today comments were raining in next to it from astounded Instagram users.

Comments included: “Spiders on Planes!” as well as “WTF?????” and “it’s his emotional support spider.”

Wtf was a common theme. Another Instagram user wrote: “Wtf no way” while others chimed in with such remarks as “that guy is a champ!” and, “Oh heck no.”

“Hero.”

Another Instagram user wrote: “Super glad when I did the previous longest flight (Dallas to Sydney) we didn’t have any special stowaways!”

Other people talked about the potential for it to happen again (“coming to a plan[e] near you!”) and the other things on the flight that were potentially more worrying (“it’s scarier to see so many wrong-worn masks…”).

Another great comment was: “Don’t sleep on planes with your mouth opened.”

Amen to that.

Jake Gyllenhaal Offsets Awful Gucci Pants With 2022’s Hottest Electric Car
Jake Gyllenhaal Offsets Awful Gucci Pants With 2022’s Hottest Electric Car

Jake Gyllenhaal is normally one of the best-dressed men in show business, but he’s got a little carried away with his latest outfit.

The 40-year-old Hollywood star was in attendance at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s annual Art + Film Gala, along with other big names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Steven Spielberg and Jeff Bezos, among others. But where most male attendees chose to keep things simple with a suit or a tux, Gyllenhaal threw out the rulebook and wore something a bit wild.

Would you believe the fit’s all Gucci? The navy blue blazer, loose-fitting shirt and classic horsebit loafers are great. The stainless steel Cartier Santos de Cartier watch he’s rocking is classic, too. But those pants? He looks like the world’s fanciest mustard bottle.

Actually, we think he was rather inspired by the new Audi RS e-tron GT that was parked pride of place at the gala dinner. Electric yellow, baby!

They call me mellow yellow… Image: Getty

To be fair, the e-tron GT is a car worthy of dressing up and making an occasion for. The lithe sedan is the German brand’s first all-electric sports car and easily the electric vehicle we’re most looking forward to driving in 2022.

Based on the same platform as Porsche’s mind-blowing Taycan (more on that car here), the e-tron GT is a grand tourer of the finest Germanic tradition: slightly longer, larger and practical than the Taycan, it’s a different take on the EV performance car formula.

RELATED: Audi Slams The Door On Electric Vehicle Haters With ‘Continent-Spanning’ Experiment

It’s no slouch, though: it does 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, has a top speed of 245 km/h and boasts a maximum sustained power output of 350 kW, which can be temporarily boosted to 390 kW. The top-spec RS model, which Gyllenhaal was in attendance for, is even more muscly: 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, a top speed of 250 km/h and 440 kW, 475 kW when boosted. That’s faster than a Lamborghini Huracàn… And you can still seat 5 people while doing it.

Check out the new Audi RS e-tron GT out for a winter drive on the streets of Hamburg below.

Actually, there are some seven degrees of separation stuff going on with Gyllenhaal posing with this Audi. An all-black Audi e-tron GT actually appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster Avengers: Endgame, with Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark (i.e. Iron Man) driving a specially-made prototype of the car as his personal ride.

Of course, Gyllenhaal played the villain Mysterio in another Marvel film, Spider-Man: Far From Home. There’s speculation that Gyllenhall will reprise the character in the upcoming sequel, No Way Home, but that’s yet to be confirmed. We wonder if he’ll also try and angle to get his own Audi whip in the process…

Try This ‘Jedi’ Training Method To Supercharge Your Strength
Try This ‘Jedi’ Training Method To Supercharge Your Strength

‘Jedi’ Training Method To Supercharge Your Strength

Step into any gym and you’ll likely find it is littered with mirrors. Not only a way to create a visual illusion that the space is bigger than it actually is, mirrors are used by all manner of gym junkies to take the compulsory Instagram pic, check yourself out while flexing and to monitor your form as you complete a lift.

The latter is obviously the most important because correct form equals a greater chance of minimising injury and maximising results. But one man suggests we should do away with mirrors and even sight altogether if we are to truly improve our strength.

Dubious? We were too. But hear him out.

Dr Joel Seedman, owner and founder of Advanced Human Performance, a fitness institution that works with a number of professional athletes, has taken to Instagram to suggest we should close our eyes during lifts as it will help to improve our form.

In the video example, we can see a man performing “90-degree isometric squats using the double barbell protocol,” says Dr Joel. Eccentric isometric (EI) is the scientific way of saying “pause reps”, where one pauses at the top or bottom of a lift, before returning to the starting position. Dr Joel adds on his website, “I can honestly say that I’ve found nothing more effective than EI’s for enhancing strength, performance, muscle mass, and muscle function.”

Continuing, Joel says: “When it comes to mastering one’s movement, optimising motor control & body mechanics is the name of the game.” To do this effectively, he says, it “comes down to responding to subtle & virtually imperceptible inputs deep within the nervous system that are not visible to the naked eye & can only be tuned into the neuromuscular level by the individual themselves.”

He goes on to say that we should lessen our reliance on mirrors: “It is also why, individuals should rarely use the mirror when training.”

“The better an athlete can become at tuning into this subtle yet critical feedback, the more they will be able to master their mechanic.”

“Eyes-closed training improves movement mechanics & muscle function particularly when combined with 90 degree eccentric isometrics.”

Explaining his radical way of thinking, Dr Joel adds, “The reason for this is that closing your eyes on any exercise forces muscle spindles & other proprioceptive mechanisms.” Healthline states that proprioception is, “the body’s ability to sense its location, movements, and actions. It’s the reason we’re able to move freely without consciously thinking about our environment.”

“In other words,” Joel continues: “It teaches the lifter to rely more on kinaesthetic awareness rather than sight.”

“Instead of watching yourself through the movement, feel your way through the movement.”

“Over time this leads to greater strength, muscle & joint health. Combine with advanced stabilisation methods such as the double barbell to further challenge proprioception & motor control.”

How so? Joel provides further explanation on his website:

“Humans rely on the integration of 3 primary sensory systems when it comes to balance. These include the visual/ocular system, the vestibular system in the inner ear that senses motion of the head in space and helps with equilibrium, and the neuromuscular or proprioceptive systems such as muscle spindles.”

“Eliminating one of these, for example the visual system, forces the other systems, particularly the proprioceptive system, to work harder in order to maintain control of movement. In other words, there will be increased proprioceptive feedback to make up for the lack of feedback from the other mechanism(s).”

“Over time this likely improves our ability to balance, stabilize, and control our movement as these proprioceptive systems have been trained to operate at a higher level.”

So, this isn’t to say you should now just jump into the eyes closed method for all lifts next time you’re at the gym. However, you could attempt a few basic tests with your eyes closed to assess your current proprioception.

For example, you could close your eyes and march on the spot for a minute. When you open your eyes, you may find you’ve moved from your original position, the farther you’ve moved, the weaker your proprioception.

Perform this test a few times, and once your awareness improve, you can then work on incorporating it in the gym. Perform a few reps with your eyes open, so you can become familiar with the space around you, and then perform a few more with your eyes closed. It could be wise to have a spotter with you, just in case something goes wrong.

But Joel’s argument certainly seems to carry a lot of weight – and if all goes well, by using it, you will too.

McDonald’s Australia Bows To Vegan Terrorism, Offers Oat Milk For Coffees
McDonald’s Australia Bows To Vegan Terrorism, Offers Oat Milk For Coffees

McDonald’s probably isn’t the first place you think of when you think ‘coffee’ – especially here in Australia – but thanks to its ultra-successful McCafe sub-brand, it’s actually technically the biggest cafe chain in the country, commanding a whopping 22.1% of the Australian market, according to news.com.au.

That’s why it’s such a big deal that the American fast-food giant has just announced that they’ll start offering oat milk at Aussie McCafe locations.

Teaming up with MILKLAB, an Australian plant milk brand you’ve likely spotted at your local cafe, you’ll now be able to get a strong oat flat white with your McMuffin and hash brown before 10:30am (we’re still filthy that Maccas have stopped doing all-day breakfasts, though).

It won’t be all locations and “extra charges apply” according to the brand’s announcement on Facebook, but it’s still a bit of a gamechanger.

It’s a real sign of the times. As 2019 Australian Barista Champion Matthew Lewin has shared with DMARGE, oat milk is projected to be the #1 plant milk for coffee and is increasingly gaining in popularity Down Under for its agreeable taste and environmental bona fides (especially compared to other plant milks like almond).

RELATED: ‘Oat Is The New Almond’: The Coffee Trend Australia Can’t Get Enough Of

It also speaks to the broader popularity of plant milk as well as veganism/vegetarianism in Australia. When the world’s biggest fast-food chain starts offering oat milk, it’s well and truly hit the mainstream.

Up until now, soy milk has been the only non-dairy milk Maccas has offered at McCafe. However, individual Australian McDonald’s franchisees have previously experimented with MILKLAB’s lactose-free milk, such as Esperance Maccas on Western Australia’s south coast, as evidenced by this Facebook photo they shared last year.

Image: McDonald’s Esperance

This oat milk move isn’t the first time that McDonald’s Australia has been an innovator in the coffee space. Indeed, McCafe itself was an Australian invention: now a global phenomenon and a crucial contributor to McDonald’s modern success, the first McCafe outlets were introduced by franchisees in Melbourne, the nexus of Australian coffee culture. Now they’re all over the planet.

The question is this: what’s next? Domino’s doing macadamia milkshakes? Or McDonald’s in Italy trying to convert Italians to oat and soy milk? The mind boggles…

Why Travelling Doesn’t Make You A Better Person
Why Travelling Doesn’t Make You A Better Person

Much like a 2021 creative might be horrified to find their ‘unique struggles’ have been trotted out for years by Hollywood, the stereotypical Western traveller would probably die with embarrassment if they twigged their obsession with ‘self-awareness’ was actually quite annoying. Go figure! And I say this both as a proud book-reading w*nker, and a proud travel-proselytising traveller.

But in between romanticising the lifestyles of people who have never been afforded the chance to travel in their lives (“they’ve got nothing, but they’re always smiling!”) and shaming their friends back home for catching feelings not flights, many travel bloggers actually create some great content on social media.

Enter: the following few clips, sourced from Instagram and TikTok. The videos sum up quite well some of the thoughts many travellers slip into when we start getting a little too full of ourselves on the road. And boy, do some hit home.

In response to the phrase: “People who choose to live their life in the country they were born in and not try somewhere else,” various travel bloggers have lip synch sung the words: “I don’t relate to you.”

If you haven’t smugly thought that to yourself, at least once, are you even a traveller?

Another included, “People who are saving to buy a house instead of spending all their money on travelling and seeing the world when they’re young.”

Again: the cheeky lip-synch answer is: “I don’t relate to you.” Classic.

A third video DMARGE found included a TikTok travel enthusiast miming the words: “Don’t talk to me” in response to various phrases littering the screen like: “I hate flying.”

RELATED: This Snobbish Trait Instantly Outs You As An Unenlightened Traveller

Even John Cleese has (separately) got in on the act, tweeting recently about how much travel opens your mind.

Much as some of this is a little over the top (perhaps intentionally so), there is some truth in there (stereotypes, no matter how ~cringe~ and overwrought, do often get built on a grain of truth or some observation that resonates with people). And yes: travelling can make you more open-minded. So perhaps it’s good to remind people of that.

Woman reading. Image Credit: Getty Images

But we’ll let you decide for yourself if people who travel are judging correctly (or hypocritically) their brethren back home with these thoughts (watch the video below and make up your mind).

How Travellers Feel About People Who Never Travel

My hot take? Travelling can make you a better person. But only if you shut up about it (and let your actions speak more than your words). Also, with regards to the above videos – I cast no aspersions on what those creators think about their hometown friends (or the people they met on their travels) other than everything I just projected onto them from my own experiences and arrogant thoughts (I, too, have been guilty of singing from the rooftops about the benefits of travel…).

It’s also worth pointing out, before people start hurling their DSLR cameras and Macbook Pros at me, that there is an Emirates A380 load (perhaps many more) of humble travellers out there who are on a mission to genuinely inspire, educate and learn, and who realise how lucky they are.

It’s also natural to get a kick out of feeling like you are part of some sort of in-the-know club, when you do get into travelling – after all, there’s a reason Mark Twain’s travel quotes keep twanging around.

So yes: your mind can be opened by travel. It’s just good to remember getting on a plane isn’t the only thing that can open it.

It’s also true that giving people a bit of a jolt is an effective way to get them to rethink something – so maybe the shock value of saying “don’t talk to me” as a bit of a joke to your friends who don’t travel isn’t such an offensive thing to do after all. It’s also worth pointing out that the creators in the above videos were probably just having a bit of light-hearted fun.

Man hiking. Image Credit: Getty Images

An article by Travelette sums up the good vs. bad complex of travel bloggers well: “After years of hype, bloggers have been met with a lot of scepticism lately. While one magazine declares fashion bloggers the lamest people on Earth (the author had apparently never read a single critically engaging post on a fashion blog before), another one says a that travel bloggers are materialistic brats (who will threaten hotels with bad reviews if they don’t get the most luxurious suite).”

“I’m here to tell you – and I hope that you know that already – neither of these accusations are correct. Yes, the number of blogs is exploding, and there are ‘good’ and ‘bad’ ones; but there will always be a handful of people (or ten or thousand) who have more in mind than a new pair of shoes or what’s for breakfast in this or that luxury hotel,” (Travelette).

There you have it.

Orlando Bloom Shows Off World’s Most Impressive Audemars Piguet Watch
Orlando Bloom Shows Off World’s Most Impressive Audemars Piguet Watch

Orlando Bloom might not be the first name you think of when you think ‘celebrity style icon’. Maybe it’s because he’s surprisingly camera-shy and not very flashy, so he doesn’t really attract too many headlines (despite being one of the most recognisable actors of the 21st century).

But he’s actually got a sharp sartorial edge. Few other men look as good in a suit or could pull off pairing denim jeans and Sacai x Nike sneakers with suspenders.

He’s also a low-key watch aficionado. The 44-year-old Englishman has one of the most diverse watch collections in Hollywood: he’s owned everything from vintage Rolexes and Breitlings to more modern fare from the likes of Panerai and Patek Philippe.

But it’s his latest watch that really caught out attention. At recent black-tie ‘dos, including the Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health and Variety’s Power of Women event, Bloom’s been wearing a new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin that we’d go out on a limb and say is the most impressive Audemars Piguet on the planet right now.

Images: Getty / Audemars Piguet

We can already hear the watch enthusiasts getting angry at us – how is this the world’s most impressive AP? Well, it’s because it’s a record-breaker: this Royal Oak is officially the world’s thinnest automatic perpetual calendar.

First presented as a prototype at 2018’s SIHH (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, now known as Watches & Wonders), this rendition of the famous luxury sports watch is only 6.3mm thick. That’s less than half as thick as a Rolex Submariner, for comparison. That would be impressive on its own, aside from the fact that it also boasts a full perpetual calendar with moonphase and a 40-hour power reserve.

RELATED: Jay-Z Hires Jeff Bezos’ ‘Mega Yacht’, Buys $600,000 Audemars Piguet Watch To Celebrate

On top of that, it’s likely one of the world’s lightest perpetual calendars, too. Crafted from an alloy of titanium and 950 platinum, it’s as gentle on the wrist as it is luxurious.

But the real reason we like it is that it’s just an extremely well-executed timepiece. In a world where there’s literally hundreds of Royal Oak variants out there, this one is elegant yet masculine; complex but not too busy; it’s even somewhat practical thanks to its thickness and titanium construction (well, practical might be pushing it).

It’s the Royal Oak we wish we owned, and for that, we salute you, Orlando.

Check out some of the other highlights from Orlando Bloom’s watch collection below.
