The Rio Olympics is well on its way and Hublot have teamed up with the world’s fastest man to mark this grand sporting occasion.

Following a hamstring injury in the Jamaican Olympic trials last month, Usain Bolt has gone against the odds and will continue to contend for a gold medal in 2016. It couldn’t be a more fitting occasion with Hublot teaming up with Bolt on two new limited edition timepieces which faithfully portrays his legacy of competition.

More specifically the extravagant gold Big Bang Unico Bolt will symbolise the champion’s objective of a third triple Olympic gold at Rio. The gold version features an 18k gold case along with a gold plated calfskin strap sewn onto rubber. Only 100 pieces of this version will be created

For a more conservative and formal look, the Big Bang Unico Bolt will come in an all-ceramic satin black version with vibrant Jamaican colours giving nod to the man’s pursuit of a new world record. Accompanying the design is gold bezel screws which portrays the six gold Olympic medals that Bolt already has under his belt.

Both versions will sport a matte black skeleton dial with Lightning Bolt chronograph hand and a calendar display at 3 o’clock all powered by Hublot’s in-house HUB1242 winding chronograph flyback movement housed in 45mm cases.

Well, here’s some good news for those who have penchant for overloading their iPhones. Apple may soon be ditching the 16GB model and start new iPhone’s at a minimum of 32GB storage. Nice one.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the next iPhone will come with 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage. This is possibly due to rumoured camera improvements that will accompany the new models.

With the world downloading more content and taking more photos and videos than ever before, it’s a wonder that Apple had hung onto the 16GB model for so long.

As the Apple rumour mill continues to churn we won’t know if our storage woes will be solved until Apple formally introduces the new model towards the end of this year. Stay tuned.

The wait is finally over. After months of teasing a new Aston Martin hypercar, the AM-RB 001 was officially unveiled at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters yesterday.

The car is the product of a unique partnership between Red Bull Racing’s F1 outfit and the famed British car manufacturer, bringing together the technical expertise and rich racing heritage from both parties.

The project’s realisation was a combined effort from Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer and gun aerodynamicist, Adrian Newey, Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, and Chief Special Operations Officer, David King.

Aston Martin’s goal was to develop a road car which merged form and function without compromise. Think the Vulcan but even more extreme. For the true enthusiast who takes that claim for a grain of salt, you’ll also be glad to hear that a track-only AM-RB 001 is also in development with performance slated to be on par with today’s LMP1 Le Mans sports prototypes.

On the performance front AM-RB 001 will be powered by a mid-mounted, high revving, V12 boasting a 1:1 power to weight ratio. The chassis and body will be a combination of carbon fibre which utilises radical aero design dreamt up by Newey. That usually means no rear wing or ugly protruding bits since sufficient down force can be generated solely from underfloor aero components. This left Aston Martin’s Reichman free to craft a car with the dramatic form you see before you.

Thus far the car’s design has polarised the public with some labelling it ugly like a whale shark and others calling it purely functional. Regardless Aston Martin have stated that there will only be 99 to 150 road cars built which also includes the prototypes and 25 track-only versions.

Microluxe Hotel is a retail space turned short-term rental that you can actually rent on Airbnb with everything that’s not nailed down for sale.

Yes, that’s right. Everything from the bath, kitchen fit-out, towels, chairs, paintings, couch, coffee table and even the olive oil soap is up for grabs at Microluxe Hotel via an iPad that allows you to order the items new from retailers that Edwards has sourced from…all with a 10% discount.

“It’s a shop you can stay in; an interesting cross-over between design and retail,” Edwards said. “You might get up from the bed and think ‘that was amazing’. So you get to try before you buy.”
