Best known for his roles in The Hangover, A Star Is Born, American Sniper and Nightmare Alley, Bradley Cooper recently shared an encounter he had with a famous director who inferred that Cooper didn’t deserve his Academy Award nominations.
Bradley Cooper has been nominated for nine Academy Awards over the span of his twenty-year-plus career. Four for acting, one for writing and four for producing. Sadly, Cooper has never won but just to be nominated for an Oscar is still a huge accolade in Hollywood.
However, during a recent episode of Smartless – a podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett – Cooper recalled a famous director making a rather snide comment that implied Cooper should never have been nominated at all.
Apparently, in 2019 (when Cooper only had seven Academy Award nominations under his belt) Cooper was at a party and was chatting with this director (who Cooper never named) and an actress, who at the time had been nominated for three Academy Awards.
According to Cooper, the director remarked, “What world are we living in where you have seven nominations and she’s only got three?” To which Cooper replied, “Bro, why are you such an asshole?”
Cooper after telling this story on the Smartless podcast went on to say,
“I would never f*cking forget that. Go f*ck yourself.”
Bradley Cooper

This isn’t the only time Cooper’s been taunted about his Oscar nominations either. During the same Smartless episode, the actor also talked about a “hero female actress” (again, Cooper never named names) who back in 2012 – when Cooper received his first-ever Academy Award nomination for his performance in Silver Linings Playbook – was extremely patronising towards him.
“She’s like, ‘I saw your movie. You deserve the nom.’ I was like, ‘What? I’m sorry what?’ ‘The nom.’”
Bradley Cooper
Clearly, Cooper felt this actress was saying he only deserved the nomination but didn’t deserve to win, as he went on to say,
“Then like 10 or 20 minutes later, I’m not kidding, I passed her going to the bathroom and she mouths it, ‘The nom.’ I remember [thinking], ‘what the fuck is this town?’ Can you imagine saying that to somebody? You’ve got to be fucked up to do that.”
Bradley Cooper
Currently, Cooper is working on Maestro – a film he’s directing, co-writing and producing as well as starring in. Maestro won’t be released until at least 2023, but the film’s already generating Oscar buzz; perhaps it’ll be the film that’ll finally get Cooper that golden statuette.

Who is KSI?
KSI – full name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – is an internet celebrity who found fame on YouTube by uploading gaming commentary videos. He now has over 9.3 billion views on his videos between his two channels (KSI & JJ Olatunji). KSI is also known for his music and boxing matches against fellow YouTubers.
What does KSI mean?
KSI stands for Knowledge, Strength, Integrity. He has “Knowledge” tattooed on his chest and has “Strength” and “Integrity” tattooed on each arm.
KSI YouTube Channel
KSI’s first YouTube channel was created in April 2008, which primarily consisted of videos he uploaded of himself playing FIFA and COD: Modern Warfare 2. He began branching out to more vlog-style and comedic videos during 2011, which helped him increase his popularity, gaining 3 million subscribers by the end of 2013.
He became part of a British entertainer collective called the Ultimate Sidemen in 2013, where he helped other YouTube personalities gain popularity and expand their followings. He announced his departure from the group in 2017, however it was later revealed he never actually left and was more of a publicity stunt to increase interest and attention.
KSI was both the first British Youtuber and the first person of colour to receive YouTube’s Diamond Play button (an award for reaching 10 million subscribers on the site).
His accounts are now the 3rd (KSI) and 14th (JJ Olatunji) most subscribed British YouTube accounts respectively.
KSI has said the defining moment of him committing to a YouTube career was when realised he was earning more money than his teachers, after which he decided to quit school.
KSI Music
As KSI’s YouTube career continued to flourish, he began branching out into other avenues such as music where he has been quite successful, especially in the UK.
His first song ‘Lamborghini’ reached the 30th spot on UK singles charts and his debut EP ‘Keep Up’ found its way to 1st place on the UK R&B albums chart.
He’s released 6 musical projects so far, with four EPs (Keep Up, Jump Around, Space and Disstracktions), an album with YouTuber and fellow Sideman Randolph (New Age), as well as a solo album (Dissimulation) which was released in 2020.
KSI’s musical career has seen him collaborate with rap artists such as Lil Wayne, Offset, Lil Pump, Rick Ross and Trippie Redd.
KSI Boxing Career
KSI has had 3 boxing matches against other YouTubers. His first amateur fight was against Joe Weller, which he won in the 3rd round by a TKO. The event drew 1.6 million live viewers and 21 million views within a day, making it the biggest “white-collar boxing event” of all time.

His next two fights were against Logan Paul. The first, which resulted in a majority draw, was described as “the largest event in YouTube history” and “the largest ever amateur boxing fight”. In the second fight, which was his first and so far only pro bout, KSI won via split decision, after which he refused a 3rd fight with Paul.
KSI Family
JJ’s parents, Jide and Yinka Olatunji are of Nigerian heritage. They both have made frequent appearances on KSI’s channels.
His younger brother Deji is also a YouTuber who uploads gaming videos, vlogs, and pranks to his channel Deji which has over 10.5 million subs. While the two have formerly butted heads, they are now close and appear in each other’s videos occasionally.
KSI Girlfriend
KSI is believed to currently be single.
His most recent relationship ended in November 2021, but the identity of the girl remains unknown, as KSI managed to help keep her out of the public eye. He did, however, confirm the end of the relationship in a YouTube video posted on 4 November 2021 and is quoted as saying, “I’ve been in my relationship for three-plus years now, and I think me not letting anyone know who she is has been a huge factor.”
KSI Net Worth
KSI’s net worth is estimated at anywhere between $15 million (Finty) and $25 million (CelebrityNetworth) but KSI himself has estimated his net worth could be upwards of $30 million. He’s accumulated his wealth mostly through YouTube and sponsorships but has also found success in music and boxing, making $900 000 for his second fight against Logan Paul. KSI also owns more than 10 properties around England, with a combined worth of over £10 million.
KSI Reddit
KSI has his own subreddit page on Reddit. KSI doesn’t post much if anything on the thread himself, but there are currently 2.6 million followers (or Sidemen, as they’re called) on the thread that post regular content of anything related to KSI. This includes reaction videos KSI has posted to his YouTube channel, memes relating to KSI’s various endeavours, such as boxing, his relationships or his YouTube content and images of KSI performing live.

There’s a reason (or two) why Hamish Blake is so beloved in Australia – which is why more men should strive to be like the popular comedian…
Last night, Australian comedian and television presenter Hamish Blake won the prestigious Gold Logie for the second time – he also won the award back in 2012 – as well as the inaugural Logie for Most Popular Presenter (which was introduced this year to honour Bert Newtown).
But after watching the Logies awards show I had an epiphany: more Aussie blokes should strive to be like Hamish – and no, I don’t mean they should start a radio show or podcast with their best mate. What I mean is that Hamish has a few qualities that men should try and emulate…

Classic larrikin attitude
There’s no denying that Hamish Blake is hilarious and a classic larrikin – good-hearted but always down for some harmless, fun-fuelled shenanigans.
Some prime examples of which include when Hamish would join random Zoom calls to amuse himself during the 2020 lockdown or when he bought a ‘salt gun’ to take down the many flies in his home rather than bug spray.
Supports his partner and family
It’s crystal clear that Hamish Blake is extremely supportive of his wife and children.
But if you need some proof, back in April, during an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Hamish was asked whether he was “jealous” over his wife’s success – for context, Hamish’s wife, Zoë Foster Blake sold her controlling stake in her skincare company, Go-To for $89 million in 2021. Hamish was a true gentleman and had nothing but praise for his wife.
“I love seeing her go from strength to strength… I’m massively proud.”
Hamish Blake
Furthermore, Hamish always goes above and beyond for his kids; especially when it comes to birthday cakes. The comedian now regularly documents himself making elaborate cakes that his kids have requested… Just over a month ago, Hamish made an incredible Avatar: The Last Airbender cake for his son, Sonny.

In touch with the common man
This one is for Hamish & Andy fans… Hamish and Andy Lee have an ongoing joke that Andy has lost touch with the common man. While Andy will argue that Hamish has also lost touch, I disagree.
Yes, Hamish is loaded. But the man doesn’t have a “yoga mat drawer” and is still super relatable. For instance, he wags work and encourages Australians to do the same and humbly went to Red Rooster to celebrate after the Logies ceremony last night…

Overall, Hamish Blake is a top bloke and every Australian man should strive to be a little bit more like him…

For Sydneyites, there’s nothing better than flying home to Sydney after a long trip. But for the ultimate hack, make sure you book a flight that lands in Sydney at sunrise because it’s a truly magnificent sight that all Australians have to see at least once in their lifetime…
As Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz said oh so wisely, “There’s no place like home.” This statement rings so true, especially when Australians experience flying home just as the sun rises.
Aussie journalist Melissa Hoyer reminded me of this fact when she shared on LinkedIn a stunning video of her flight from Los Angeles to Sydney landing during sunrise.
Melissa captioned the video with, “No matter where in the world, there is something about flying into Sydney as the sun rises – that image of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House & the surrounding bays & beaches actually bring happy tears to your eyes…”
While there are scientific reasons that explain why people cry on planes, I completely agree that coming home at sunrise and seeing Sydney in all its glory would definitely make any proud Aussie tear up.
Although, there’s something rather magical about flying out of Sydney at sunset too. I was lucky enough to go to Cairns a few weeks ago and my plane took off right at sundown, and boy, the view was spectacular.
If anything, the beautiful views of Sydney lit up with the last rays of sunshine for the day – that my pictures do not do justice – made me more excited about my trip.

So to my fellow Australians, if you’re lucky enough to be flying away on a holiday anytime soon, try and book a flight that either takes off from Sydney at sunset or lands in Sydney at sunrise.
Because it’s truly a sight that has to be seen.

The following article was produced in partnership with Panerai.
There’s no mistaking a Panerai. The luxury Italian watchmaker’s bold, utilitarian and distinctive watches are prized by watch collectors for their imposing aesthetic – such as their Submersible, their popular, function-forward dive watch.
But sometimes they can be too imposing… Or not utilitarian enough. Up until now, the Submersible was only available in either 42mm or 47mm case sizes. The former has often been criticised by Paneristis (that’s Panerai fans, for the uninitiated) for being too small – a Panerai should be big, after all. Yet 47mm is also prohibitively large for many watch collectors, reducing its usefulness as a tool.
That’s why when Panerai unveiled the Submersible QuarantaQuattro earlier this year, we were quietly impressed. QuarantaQuattro is Italian for 44 and that’s exactly what they’ve done: they’ve made a 44mm Submersible.
It’s a masterstroke, really. 44mm is a real ‘Goldilocks’ size in our opinion: it’s still very masculine; very Panerai, without being obnoxiously large. It maintains the design code of the brand while also making Submersibles more accessible to a wider audience.
The introduction of the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro has come hand in hand with some exciting new looks for the Submersible range. The new QuarantaQuattro collection is home to some of the best-looking dive watches in Panerai’s already handsome and extensive range.
The ‘standard’ (if it can be called such a thing) Submersible QuarantaQuattro combines a black dial with stainless steel hardware and interesting light blue highlights on key features such as the small seconds hand and dial lettering. It’s a subtle touch that lets other watch fans know it’s a QuarantaQuattro while providing a bit of visual flair.
The Submersible QuarantaQuattro is a real tool watch and as such, incorporates features designed to support even the most challenging of dives. For example, it has a uni-directional rotating bezel with metallic appliques filled with white Super-LumiNova – an indispensable feature for a diving instrument.
It also features Panerai’s locking crown mechanism – a signature of the brand – where a lever-actuated lock integrated into the large semi-circular crown guard keeps the crown from rotating (and therefore compromising the watch’s water-resistance or changing the time).
If we’re speaking visual flair though, it’s hard to go past the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Bianco. As the name implies, this baby has a stark white dial with black highlights, including on the hands. There’s just something about a white dial Panerai that really pops…
The Bianco is also the perfect canvas for a bit of style experimentation: by default, it comes on a military green rubber strap, but Panerai’s got a veritable rainbow of strap options – we reckon it looks great on orange, for example.
It’s easy to swap out different straps on your Submersible QuarantaQuattro thanks to Panerai’s unique strap swap system. A small button on the right-hand lug can be depressed in order to quickly release the strap’s spring bar and swap in a new strap. It’s a good middle ground between the convenience of other quick-release systems and the durability of a more standard spring bar setup.
The Submersible QuarantaQuattro Carbotech
Blu Abisso is another highlight of the collection. Rather than stainless steel, it’s constructed from Carbotech, a signature Panerai carbon fibre composite material that’s perfect for a tough tool watch and offers a real point of difference among dive watches.
Carbotech is Panerai’s lightest case material: 14% lighter than titanium and 36% lighter than steel, in fact. It’s highly resistant to corrosion and to scratching, too – it feels weightless on the wrist while possessing remarkable strength.
On top of that, it features Panerai’s stunning dark blue Blu Abisso tone for its dial and strap – a luxurious, limited colour reserved for special timepieces. It’s a stealthy yet techy timepiece for real aficionados.
All Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro watches are water-resistant to 300m and are powered by the P.900 calibre, which boasts an Incabloc anti-shock device and a 3-day power reserve. They all also feature a mix of green and blue Super-LumiNova for maximum legibility in low-light conditions.
In addition, all the new Submersible QuarantaQuattro timepieces centre Panerai’s commitment to encouraging environmentally-conscious practices. For example, the rubber straps available for the QuarantaQuattros is Panerai’s first rubber strap made from 30% recycled materials while the fabric straps are composed of 68% recycled fabric material.
In short, the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro is the perfect addition to Panerai’s range and the perfect addition to your watch collection. Tough, versatile and forward-thinking, it can handle anything you throw at it: diving, sports, trivia night at the pub…
No matter which style you go for, it’s a proper Panerai for the proper modern watch fan.
Discover the Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro collection at your nearest Sydney or Melbourne Boutiques, and on panerai.com.

A new study has found that long-distance running can increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes in men because it prematurely ages their major arteries…
Running has long been the go-to when wanting to engage in some cardio. But new research from the British Heart Foundation suggests that long-distance running is prematurely aging men.
The study looked at 300 athletes and found that endurance running (like marathons and triathlons) improves women’s health but is detrimental to men. How?
Well, the results showed that the major arteries of men who regularly engaged in long-distance running were a lot stiffer than expected; it was like a decade had been prematurely added to their ‘vascular age’.
Furthermore, major arteries that have been prematurely aged increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Associate medical director at the British Heart Foundation, Professor James Leiper, weighed in and told inews:
“For athletes who train in endurance exercise, their hearts must work harder to pump blood around the body. Research has shown that in some cases, this can cause changes to the heart.”
Professor James Leiper

However, don’t throw out your running shoes just yet, as Professor Leiper stressed that more research needs to be done and running does still provide men with health benefits.
“It is important to note that [running] is proven to reduce the risk of heart and circulatory diseases, helping to control weight and lower both blood pressure and cholesterol.”
Professor James Leiper
Perhaps next time you hit the pavement or treadmill, just cut your run short – because while running’s incredibly good for you, you don’t want to prematurely age your arteries by overdoing it…

Max Verstappen, full-time Dutchman and Formula 1 hobbyist (we kid) served two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso a rather backhanded compliment after qualifying at the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix.
The 24-year-old Red Bull driver and reigning World Champion secured pole position (and ultimately won) the race while Alonso qualified second: the 40-year-old Spanish Alpine driver’s first front-row start since the 2012 German Grand Prix.
Verstappen was quick to congratulate Alonso on his impressive quali performance, but in a later interview, threw a bit of shade on the Spaniard, saying “Of course Fernando is getting a bit old but he’s still very fast. I know he starts very well so I have to be ready.”
Rude, or just very Dutch? We’re not sure. Alonso wasn’t fazed, rebutting “I think we’ll attack Max on the first corner,” offering a wink to the fans.
In the end, Alonso finished 9th, copping a time penalty for weaving that would have otherwise seen him nab 7th. (He also copped a penalty point on his super license.) It was his 5th points finish of the year – not the podium finish he may have been hoping for but a reasonable effort regardless. His teammate, 25-year-old Frenchman Esteban Ocon, finished 6th.
Still, Alonso’s strong qualifying performance isn’t to be sniffed at, considering his longevity in the sport and being the oldest on the grid by a fair margin. Indeed, virtually all the drivers on the grid – as well as the enthusiastic crowd at Montréal – were pretty excited to see Alonso qualify so highly.
F1 is increasingly a young man’s game. Indeed, Verstappen started driving in the sport at the age of 17 – he was in F1 before he could drive a road car! Most of the sport’s top drivers, like Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lando Norris and Pierre Gasly, are all well under 30 and the average age of F1 drivers is decreasing every year.
RELATED: This May Be The Fastest Way To Become A Formula 1 Driver

That Alonso remains competitive in F1 despite his age is rather impressive. The next oldest driver on the grid is seven-time World Champion and unequivocal GOAT, Lewis Hamilton – who also shows little signs of slowing down, despite his somewhat rocky performance so far this season.
To this date, Alonso remains the only Spanish F1 driver to have won either a Grand Prix or the World Championship. That said, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr. is an exceptionally talented driver and very likely to win a Grand Prix this year – we’ll just have to wait and see.

Pre-workout might be something you’ve either heard about or even spent some time looking at, regardless of if you’re a full-blown gym junkie or a complete newbie. Put simply, pre-workout is a supplement you take before you go to the gym, as it is designed to give you an extra boost in energy to help you complete your workout.
If you’re someone who regularly lacks the motivation to hit the gym, or you do go, but you feel too tired to push to your full potential, pre-workout could be for you. But, as with virtually any supplement, there are some things to be aware of with regard to taking pre-workout, because there can be some potential risks and side-effects if you don’t use it properly.
So, what exactly is pre-workout and is it completely necessary?
Read on to find out what pre-workout is, what pre-workout can do and what ingredients you can expect to find in pre-workout, along with some potential risks and benefits to help you decide if it’s a supplement for you.
In this pre-workout story…
What Is Pre-Workout?
Simply put, pre-workout is a supplement you take before your workout – usually around 20-minutes to an hour – that is designed to give you more energy and focus, to help you complete your workout. Pre-workout can come in a variety of forms, including meals, shakes and pills, but it is most commonly taken in powder form and mixed with water.
What Does Pre-Workout Do?
Pre-workout is basically designed to make you work harder for longer, giving you extra energy and better focus during exercise which can improve your overall performance. It does this by increasing the supply of carbohydrates to your body by way of glucose. It’s this increase in glucose consumption that helps to raise your body’s blood sugar level, thus giving you a greater amount of energy.
What’s In Pre-Workout?

Pre-workout usually contain a range of different ingredients, making them a simple alternative to taking multiple supplements before heading to the gym. The main basis of pre-workout is a combination of sugar, caffeine and various other stimulants, designed to increase your energy levels. But, for a more in-depth breakdown as to what you can you expect to find in your pre-workout, check out the list below.
BCAAs
Branch chain amino acids are another type of amino acid that can improve your endurance during your workout and increase strength while also reducing fatigue and muscle soreness.
Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine is an amino acid that can help reduce muscle fatigue by combating acid which builds up in your body during intense exercise. Beta-Alanine is most effective for improving performance during short bursts of intense exercise lasting between one and four minutes.
B-vitamins
B Vitamins such as B1, B2, B5, and B6 all help with energy production and efficiency. B12 supports blood production, and B3 can boost DNA repair and promote healthier skin.
Caffeine
Caffeine is a common ingredient in pre-workout as it helps energise you, improve your power output, and helps you maintain your endurance. Pre-workout usually has anywhere from 150 mg to 300 mg of caffeine per serving, which equals about three to eight cups of coffee.
Caffeine is one of the main ingredients you need to be looking out for when you’re comparing pre-workout, as consuming too much can lead to potential health problems. For the most part, however, the pre-workout you choose will be safe.
Carbohydrates
Some brands of pre-workout contain will carbs (sugar) which help top up your available energy stores and keep you working out longer with less fatigue. Depending on how you structure your diet, it may be advisable to look for sugar and calorie-free pre-workouts.
Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine is a very popular supplement and is included in many pre-workouts due to its ability to increase muscle power and performance in bursts during short, high-intensity workouts.
NO2-boosters
NO2 boosters, such as L-arginine and L-citrulline, help your blood flow around your body easier by expanding your veins and arteries, helping deliver nutrients quicker and more efficiently.
Sodium bicarbonate
More commonly known as baking soda, sodium bicarbonate can act as a buffer to fight lactic acid build-up during exercise. However, it might be something to try to avoid for those who are limiting their salt intake or are salt-sensitive.
Pre-Workout Benefits & Risks
Pre-workout has the obvious benefit of being able to increase your energy, thereby improving your performance level during your workout. Other benefits of pre-workout can include: improved muscle strength, cognition, lean gains, lower body strength, increased focus and endurance and enhanced physical performance when taken consistently.
In fact, a study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found an increase in VO2 max, training volume and lean muscle mass in participants who used pre-workout before completing HIIT workouts.
However, if pre-workout is taken incorrectly, it can cause problems.
Caffeine is a key ingredient in many pre-workouts and is worth looking out for, especially if you’re sensitive to caffeine, as it can vary from mild to excessive amounts. In some cases, high doses of caffeine can cause issues like anxiety, insomnia, and high blood pressure.
One 29-year-old personal trainer even died from caffeine toxicity after miscalculating his dosage and drinking up to 5 times the potentially fatal level of caffeine in one go.
Some other side effects of pre-workout can include:
- Digestive symptoms
- Irregular heartbeat
- Changes in blood sugar
When To Take Pre-Workout
Pre-workout is most effective when taken consistently rather than sporadically. Consistent use helps the main ingredients build up their reserves in your body. After constant use for a few weeks, you may notice you feel less tired during and after your workouts and that they last longer.
In terms of when to take pre-workout before your gym session, it’s best to follow the instructions on the label of your pre-workout, as it can vary between brands. Still, it’s usually advised to take pre-workout around 20 minutes to an hour before you begin working out. Depending on the product, the pre-workout can last anywhere from three to six hours— more than long enough to get you through a serious workout.

If you’re a sports fan in the market for a new streaming platform that’ll give you access to sport and only sport, Optus Sport is a fine choice – for soccer fans… Intrigued? Here’s everything you need to know about Optus Sport before you subscribe.
What is Optus Sport?
Optus Sport is a dedicated sports streaming platform that provides users with on-demand and live streams of various different soccer/football matches as well as pre-match press conferences and soccer documentaries.
Launched by Optus, the Australian telecommunications company, on the 13th of July 2016, Optus Sport has come a long way since its inception. Optus Sport currently owns the broadcasting rights to the English Premier League in Australia, making it the only streaming platform where you can watch what many consider to be the greatest soccer league in the world.
And that is set to continue for the foreseeable, as Optus extended its contract in December 2021 to continue owning the rights to the English Premier League for another 5 years.
Away from just showing the EPL, Optus Sport offers 24/7 programming which includes news, interviews and analysis from various soccer experts.
If you’re unable to watch soccer matches live, then Optus Sport offers multiple ways to catch up on the all the action. You can either choose to watch the entire 90-minute match in full as a replay, a Quick 3-minute highlight reel, a Short 9-minute match, a Mini 25-minute match or a Mega 45-minute match. You also get the option of turning on ‘No Spoilers’, so the final score is hidden from view.
However, it must be said that Optus Sport is only likely to appeal to hardcore soccer fans, as there isn’t really any other sport to watch through the service. If you want a more complete sports streaming service, you may want to invest your money with Kayo instead, as it offers a wide range of different sports, not just soccer.
How much is Optus Sport?
Optus Sport recently changed its subscription model. For a while, it was only available to Optus Mobile customers as a free add-on with selected mobile plans. But now, regardless of which mobile operator you’re with, you can now sign-up to Optus Sport with a separate subscription.
Optus Sport has two pricing options to choose from.
- Monthly – $14.99 per month
- Annually – $139 per year; which works out to be $11.58 per month
However, these are the current prices. Optus recently announced that their prices will change from August 1st. The new charges will be:
- Monthly – $24.99/month
- Annually – $199/year
Even if you sign up now, your monthly or annual cost will automatically change. Eligible Optus Mobile customers (who currently get Optus Sport for free) will also be charged, $6.99/month from August 1st.
Optus says the price increases are necessary in order for them to “maintain our commitment to adding even more premium sports content and innovation as we invest further over the coming years.”
If you’re an Optus customer and you continue to subscribe to Optus Sport, it will be added to Optus’ SubHub feature. This allow you to bundle together a range of subscription-based add-ons, such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. If you choose three or more services to bundle together within Optus SubHub, you can save 10% on the total subscription fee.
If you’re not an Optus Customer, then your subscription will be managed either via your website login, or your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account.
Despite the price increases, Optus Sport currently only offers up to 720p video quality for its streams. However, from August 1st, that will increase to full HD 1080p, putting it on par with Kayo Sports.
If you want to stream sport in 4K Ultra-High Definition, then you’ll need to check out Foxtel.
Also, Optus Sport can only be streamed on one device at a time.
Optus Sport free trial
Sadly, Optus Sport no longer offers a free trial.
What sports are on Optus Sport?
As aforementioned, Optus Sport is best for soccer/football fans. Optus has exclusive rights to the following sports:
- English Premier League
- FA Women’s Super Leage
- J League (Japanese League)
- European Qualifiers
- UEFA Nations Leage
- UEFA Women’s Euro 2022
- FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023
- Spanish La Liga (from August 1st)
