Rich Dad Poor Dad is one of the most iconic self-help books of the ’90s.
Written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter, the book highlights the importance of financial literacy, independence and wealth building. It explains the benefit of purchasing assets, investing in real estate and starting and owning businesses (as well as increasing one’s financial IQ).
One of its authors, Robert Kiyosaki, has rather a substantial Twitter following (1.7 million, to be precise).
It made waves online then, when he, this week, warned of an imminent stock market crash.
On September the 26th, Kiyosaki tweeted: “Giant stock market crash coming October. Why? Treasury and Fed short of T-bills. Gold, silver, Bitcoin may crash too. Cash best for picking up bargains after crash. Not selling gold silver Bitcoin, yet have lots of cash for life after stock market crash. Stocks dangerous. Careful.”

Not everyone agreed with him. Some of his followers made some claims and observations of their own.
One, for instance, pointed out Kiyosaki had predicted crashes before, suggesting that a broken clock gets the time right at least twice a day.
He says it often enough and infrequently enough to be right at some point. Then hell be like “see guys I was right all along meeeeeh!”
— Brandon (@brandonwaring_) September 28, 2021
Bezinga points out that since October 2020, Bitcoin has seen its price appreciate by more than 300%.
Recent tweets suggest Kiyosaki invests in gold, Bitcoin, and silver due to his lack of trust in America’s political leaders, Treasury, the Fed, and even the stock market.
FED Governors caught “Front Running” their own policy decisions. You and I would go to jail doing what they do.That is why I save gold, silver, and Bitcoin. I do not trust the Fed, Treasury, or Wall Street. I trust Gods money, gold & silver and Peoples money, Bitcoin. Take care.
— therealkiyosaki (@theRealKiyosaki) September 27, 2021
Others argue that while a bubble is growing, it’s not one they anticipate being allowed to fail by authorities (at least for the time being), and one they plan to profit from as long as “free money” continues to be pumped into the economy.
Only time (and bank balances) will tell…

Forget fitness heavyweights such as The Rock, Jo Lindner or Mark Wahlberg, it seems we really should be paying more attention to a certain Turkish butcher for fitness inspiration. No sooner have we seen him perform some rather incredible leg workouts, including dumbbell lunges with 50kg dumbbells, barbell squats and a resistance band lower body workout that will leave your legs trembling, the salt sprinkling maestro has confirmed his alarming level of strength with a pull-up workout that has to be seen to be believed.
Taking to Instagram to show off his latest moves, Salt Bae can be seen performing several pull-up repetitions, using just one arm, all while holding a relatively loose chain. Pull-ups as a regular upper body exercise are already a prime test of strength, with your shoulders, upper back and arms all being brought into play. One-arm pull-ups are significantly harder, as one contributor to Bodybuilding.com says, "I'd heard stories—legends, really—about the [one-arm pull-up], but never believed it was truly possible."
"The only time I'd ever witnessed someone do a pull-up with one hand was when the other one was wrapped around their wrist."
Admittedly, this is exactly what Salt Bae can be seen doing, and it appears his years of flexing his biceps when sprinkling salt have given him the confidence to attempt such a move.

One-arm pull-ups performed without gripping onto your wrist with the other hand are almost feared within the fitness community, although they're an essential for anyone who wants to get their fingers stuck into rock climbing. But, to give Salt Bae some credit, he's performing his one-arm pull-ups – complete with wrist holding – whilst hanging off a loose chain. Normally, pull-ups would be performed on a pull-up bar, or any other kind of bar or handle grip that is more solid and stable.
What's more, he manages to perform five good repetitions of the exercise, even getting his chin above the chain. He may have completed more, but the video cuts off. However, further posted stories show him performing two-hand pull-ups, as well as some seriously impressive tricep dip style movements, holding himself above the chain (itself a test of strength) before lowering his body down slightly and pushing back up, blasting his triceps and core in the process.
If you're inspired by Salt Bae's impressive feats and want to give them a go for yourself, you should first make sure you're competent performing regular two-arm pull-ups on a pull-up bar. If you're unsure of the exact technique to use, Conor McGregor has previously provided some rather helpful advice. Keep working on these until you can perform 15 to 20 overhand grip pull-ups, without swinging your legs for momentum, and bringing your chin above the bar.
To progress onto using one arm, Bodybuilding.com adds you should then practice "flex hangs" using just one arm:
"Starting at the top position of a pull-up with your chin above the bar, brace your entire body and carefully remove one hand. I suggest practicing this move with an underhand grip, as doing so allows you to keep the bar near the center of your body, which will make for better leverage. Though the burden of supporting your entire body weight appears to rest solely on one arm, your chest, lats, and abdominals are also an important part of the equation."
"Once you can hold the top position of a one-arm flex hang for several seconds, you can begin to work toward a controlled one-arm negative. The idea is to start from a one-arm flexed hang position, then carefully lower yourself into a dead hang with as little momentum as possible."
From here, you can try copying Salt Bae's method of gripping onto your wrist, as you will be able to gain some strength from your secondary arm. Then, you can work on lowering this hand down your arm towards your elbow, decreasing the amount of additional strength it provides in the process, before being able to remove it entirely.
As with any workout movement, warming up your body is vital, but it is imperative you warm up properly if you want to perform one-arm pull-ups, and also remember to not try and perform too many reps. A good starting point is simply being able to perform one rep effectively, and only attempt this once or twice a week. This movement puts incredible strain on your muscles and joints, so you don't want to end up getting injured as soon as you start out.

They say every seven to ten years the entirety of your body's cells or molecules are replaced by new ones, prompting many to ask: are you really the same person?
In somewhat similar fashion, as Qatar Airways unbundles perk after perk from its business class, some are wondering, at what point is 'business class' no longer 'business class'?
First: some context though. Qatar Airways has one of the most luxurious business class offerings in the world. It's also one of the few airlines to keep flying to Australia during the pandemic.
However, earlier this month we noticed they had removed an 'unalienable' business class right in order to, depending on your viewpoint, cut costs to help with the pandemic pinch, or offer customers greater choice (that's what the airline says it was intended to do).
What did they do? They removed the ability for business class fare holders to select their own seat for free (this was previously a given when purchasing a business class ticket).
This was part of a de-bundling, which occurred in November 2020.

Today the process continues, with Qatar Airways now doing something else that that might have the pointy end brigade raising their eyebrows.
Not only has Qatar Airways removed business class fare purchasers' ability to pick their seat free of charge, but as part of their new 'unbundled' business class option, airport lounge access is also not going to be included under a Business Lite ticket (another type of unbundled fare which has now been added to the roster).
Business Lite is a new type of fare you will be able to select from September the 4th, 2021. It slides in underneath the existing business class fare options of Classic (R), Comfort (I, D) and Elite (C, J).
Frequent flyers with enough status will be able to access the lounge regardless of whether they take the Lite option or not.
Travel + Leisure reports that "In Business Lite, passengers get the same number of checked bags as other business fares, but do not get complimentary access to the airline's business class lounge (the one in Doha is one of the best in the world). Instead, passengers can purchase access to the lounge."
"However, Qatar will still grant complimentary lounge access to passengers in Business Lite if they are an elite member of either the carrier's frequent flyer program or a Oneworld frequent flyer program."
While this might irritate some business class flyers who love the lounge, they can always just book the higher tiered business class. And we reckon there is a large contingent of customers who book business, more than anything, for the in-flight experience (and the lie flat bed), who will be more than happy to take the airline up on its offer for a cheaper price.
What will make or break whether the scheme is worth it, is, of course, how much cheaper the unbundled 'Lite' fare is. Looking on Qatar Airways' website, trying to book flights from Sydney to Dubai for 2022, at the time of writing the 'Lite' business class fare option was not coming up as an option.
Frequent flyer (and owner of Flight Hacks) Imannuel Debeer has previously told DMARGE that some of the classic fare prices he had seen (from Sydney to London) were not, in his opinion, that great value.
"Would be fair if tickets were genuinely cheaper but hard to say (7k ish return isn’t cheap in my opinion).”
As for the new 'Lite' option, only time and ticket sales will tell... But we'd wager there are plenty of people who fly business class mostly for the bed, and who will be willing to try.

It's the end of an era.
No Time to Die, the hotly-anticipated 25th James Bond film and Daniel Craig's last stint as the famous fictional spy, finally had its world premiere at London's Royal Albert Hall yesterday. Craig is officially the longest-serving Bond, having filled 007's shoes for 15 years. (Roger Moore is the second-longest serving, having starred in 7 films across 12 years).
Craig, perhaps more so than any other Bond before him, really transformed the role; made it his own. Craig's Bond wasn't a schmoozy womaniser or bon vivant: he was a tortured, brooding, intense killer, with an icy-cold wit and no time for nonsense. The void he'll leave will be immense and it's no doubt a highly emotional time for the 53-year-old English actor.
But you know what they say – go out with a bang. And that's exactly what Craig's done, in a sartorial sense, for No Time to Die's premiere. Craig stepped out on the red carpet wearing a red tuxedo to match: a vermillion, velvet jacket paired with a black bow tie, trousers and patent leather Oxfords. Talk about A View to a Kill...
[caption id="attachment_303223" align="alignnone" width="639"] For Your Eyes Only. Image: Getty[/caption]
Bond's nothing without his watch, however. Q is but a fictional quartermaster, so Craig instead was outfitted by OMEGA, with a very classy gold Seamaster Aqua Terra seen perched on his wrist for the star-studded occasion.

Speaking of stars... Craig was also very much On Her Majesty's Secret Service for the evening, too, with members of the Royal Family in attendance: the actor was spotted chatting with Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; as well as with Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge ahead of the screening.
Other celebrities in attendance included co-stars Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux and Ana de Armas; British tennis star and US Open champ Emma Raducanu; rappers Dave, Skepta and Stormzy; and Aston Martin Formula One driver Lance Stroll.
While we're keen to see the movie for ourselves, we're also keen to find out who will be the next James Bond. Craig's advice for the next Bond? Simple: "don't be sh*t", he joked in a recent BBC Radio 1 interview. We'll raise a martini to that...
