David Beckham’s Best Haircuts 2022
David Beckham’s Best Haircuts 2022

Is there any greater hairstyle icon for modern gentlemen than David Beckham? While the likes of Brad Pitt, Jeff Goldblum or Harry Styles may come close to being as influential in the style space for guys, Becks is in a league of his own. The footballer-turn-global-megastar consistently delivers look after look, is a regular trendsetter and knows how to pair accessories with his outfits.

And, while he may be known for his clothing choices, such as that metrosexual sarong, it’s his ever-changing haircuts that regularly grab the headlines. We can’t think of many other style icons that change their hair so frequently, and David has rocked his fair share of hairstyles over the years.

His crazier, more daring hairstyles may have died along with his soccer-playing career (we’re sure everyone will want to forget his Alice band days) and today, he can consistently be seen sporting the latest on-trend haircuts instead.

With him being such a source of inspiration, we thought we’d consolidate some of Beckham’s best haircuts into one piece, giving you what is essentially a hairstyle bible that you can take with you next time you visit a barber shop – we’ve also included a couple of images at the end of David Beckham hairstyles you’ll want to avoid.

While a Becks-approved haircut won’t give you golden balls, it will certainly increase your style game.

David Beckham Fade Haircut

With him sharing the majority of his time between America, where he owns and manages the Inter Miami soccer team and England, David Beckham spends a lot of time in the sun. It’s probably because of this that he tends to favour rocking a short hairstyle, and, knowing how to make a good haircut a great one, usually goes for a fade haircut.

Fade haircuts are easy to achieve and can be worn by most guys, regardless of face shape. Finding the best fade length to the hair on top may come with a bit of trial and error, and if you’ve never rocked the fade haircut before, then we’d definitely suggest taking some images with you to show your barber. There are variations of the fade haircut: low; medium and high are the main ones, and lately, it seems our Becks has been rocking the high fade.

David Beckham Buzz Cut

When the world was sent into lockdown during 2020, many guys resorted to cutting their own hair at home. While that practice spawned a variety of results: some good, some bad, for David Beckham, he went with the easy option and cut all his hair off.

The buzz cut is not only a great haircut for when you want to reset your look and start afresh, but it is incredibly low maintenance and can help accentuate your facial features.

On the subject of haircut trends during the global lockdown, some guys resorted to bleaching their hair because they thought it would be some time before they went back to the office. David Beckham was one of the champions of the platinum bleached hair look in the 90s during his heyday at Manchester United. While Becks’ interpretation of the bleached blonde look was questionable, to say the least, as long as you look after your hair properly after bleaching, it can look ice-cool.

David Beckham Ponytail

Walk down the street now, especially in a hipster-centric area, and you’ll be able to spot at least a handful of man buns and ponytails. The long hairstyle trend is certainly here to stay, but David Beckham was one of the first to rock the man bun hairstyle during his spell at Spanish soccer club Real Madrid (also with blonde highlights).

The man bun can be worn in a variety of ways, many of which will depend on how long your hair actually is. For us, the best-looking man buns rely on hair that isn’t long and luscious, but rather hair that border on more unkempt, as it allows for a messier, more stylish look. And, while not always the case, man buns can look especially great when paired with a solid beard.

David Beckham Pompadour

One of Becks’ best-loved hairstyles has to be the pompadour – although it can on occasion be classed as a quiff hairstyle, depending on the length.

Putting the crazier hairstyles of his soccer-playing days behind him and taking his forties in his stride, David shows how middle-aged men can remain as stylish as ever with a slick pompadour cut. David opts for a slightly shorter length for his hair on top, but if your face shape allows and you’re daring enough, you can go for something longer. David also usually rocks a side-part style, adding an extra layer of sophistication.

The pompadour hairstyle is a versatile haircut, but is one that tends to suit guys with square or oval-shaped faces better, as it helps to accentuate facial structure. However, the versatility comes in the fact that the hair on top can have its length altered, while still being classed as a pompadour.

David Beckham Undercut Haircut

David loves an undercut. Qualities of the classic undercut haircut can be found within some of his looks, such as the pompadour, but on occasion, he has gone for a more obvious style. This means the sides of his head are completely shaven, leaving just longer hair on top that is swept from the front towards the back.

The undercut haircut should work for most men and most face shapes, you will just need to be careful with the length on top and adjust it accordingly. Rounder face shapes will do well to have longer hair on top, whereas guys who are blessed with strong cheekbones will be able to pull off a shorter length on top. Both, however, will need buzzed sides.

David Beckham is most known for his wild haircuts but the most common is called the quiff or pompadour.

Best OMEGA Watches To Score In 2022
Best OMEGA Watches To Score In 2022

OMEGA is easily one of the most well-known names in the world of luxury watches. With many of its models being regarded as “must-own” and “must-have” in the collections of any and all watch enthusiasts, the brand has enjoyed riding a wave of popularity ever since it was founded over 100 years ago.Founded by Louis Brandt in 1848 in the Swiss city of La Chaux-de-Fonds – a mecca for watchmakers – as La Generale Watch Co. it wasn’t until 1903 that the name OMEGA became incorporated. It was a few years earlier in 1848 that Louis’s sons came up with an entirely new in-house manufacturing and production control system, that meant individual parts of watches could be changed with ease. Watches with this functionality were marketed under the OMEGA brand (under ownership of La Generale Watch Co.), and their success led Louis to break OMEGA off into a completely separate company.During the 1970s OMEGA found itself caught in what was essentially a head-to-head battle with Rolex to see who could be crowned “King of the Swiss Watch brands”, although both companies had their respective unique selling points. We’ll leave you to argue which company you think has since come out on top.The Swiss watch brand has been the official timekeeper for many industries in its life too, including the British Royal Flying Corps in 1917, the U.S. Army in 1918 and it even lays claim to being the first watch manufacturer to land on the moon. The Olympic Games entrusts its timekeeping duties to OMEGA as well, and none other than British secret agent James Bond has worn OMEGA watches in films since 1995 – which proved to be a major win for the company, providing a much-needed resurgence in business. It’s quite the resume for the esteemed brand, which only makes selecting the creme de la creme of OMEGA timepieces that much harder. We’re always up for the challenge here at DMARGE, however, and believe we’ve nailed it when it comes to selecting the nine OMEGA watches you should be considering next time you make a watch purchase.

Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition

Reference Number: 210.90.42.20.01.001Case Material: TitaniumSize: 42mmPrice: AU$14,025 Titanium Mesh Bracelet/AU$12,375 NATO StrapWe’ve already mentioned OMEGA’s association with James Bond. Ever since 1995’s Goldeneye, the MI6 agent has worn an OMEGA Seamaster. The Seamaster has been the flagship series of watches to come from OMEGA since 1948 and has been made available in various guises over the years, with everything from the movement to the material to the water-resistance being changed.Previously, his watch of choice was a Rolex Submariner (we imagine OMEGA’s marketing team were particularly smug after this win). It stands to reason, then, that OMEGA should produce a 007 Edition of the famous timepiece, and boy is it a looker.Designer in collaboration with blond Bond himself Daniel Craig, this latest 007 Edition released towards the end of 2019, will feature in the forthcoming ‘No Time To Die’ – which is also expected to be Daniel Craig’s last appearance. Chief among the updates to this watch is a brown hue which Craig says gives it a “unique edge” and an aluminium dial for a tough-as-nails build that is also lightweight.Available with either a case-matching titanium mesh bracelet or a two-tone brown NATO strap, it’s the ultimate watch for the James Bond lover.Shop Now

Seamaster Ploprof 1200M

Reference Number: 224.30.55.21.01.001Case Material: SteelSize: 55 x 48mmPrice: AU$11,750The Seamaster is, as its name suggests, a divers watch. Most Seamaster watches you’re going to come across will be water-resistant to 300M, but for those who love to go deeper, but still need a capable wrist companion, the Ploprof 1200M is just the ticket.Short for “Plongeur Professional” – French for ‘diver’ – the Ploprof was originally released in the 1970s and proved to be an instant hit. Not only did its one-piece case design make it water-resistant to incredible depths (the original could go to 600M), but it was able to withstand pressures for long periods of time. There’s no denying it looks a little unusual, but the design – which we happen to adore – gave it its functional capabilities. OMEGA chose to reissue the Proplof 1200M in 2009, much to the delight of its fans. Retaining virtually identical looks and proportions (except for the new version being 1mm wider and 3mm taller) this new iteration doubles the water-resistance rating of its predecessor, meaning you can, as the name implies, dive down to 1200M and have it continue to function. The fat orange hand is still present and correct, but OMEGA has now given the pusher the orange treatment too, and it’s this you need to depress before being able to rotate the bezel in either direction. While we don’t expect many owners to take it down to its advertised depths, it’s certainly a looker and one that will turn heads in the ocean.Shop Now

Speedmaster Moonwatch “Dark Side Of The Moon”

Reference Number: 311.92.44.51.01.003Case Material: Black CeramicSize: 44.25mmPrice: AU$17,825Second to the Seamaster in the list of famous OMEGA watch collections is the Speedmaster. Introduced – and subsequently been in production since – 1957, the Speedmaster has been made available in a few variations. The Speedmaster Professional, known best as the “Moonwatch”, is the flagbearer of the series. It’s the watch that made it to the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission, hence its colloquial nomenclature. Today, the Speedmaster Professional is still qualified for NASA spaceflight and is the only model qualified to for extravehicular activity (EVA), or spacewalk in laymen’s terms.Given the name Speedmaster, you may wonder why it has a long association with space, and it’s a fair point. The collection was in fact originally destined to be a chronograph for use its sport and racing disciplines, and as such, featured a tachymeter bezel. This particular model, dubbed “Dark Side of the Moon” is unique with its black zirconium oxide ceramic case and matching dial, giving it a stealthy look that is simply to die for. The tachymeter remains, this time finished in a matt chromium nitride and the words “Dark Side of the Moon” are engraved on the caseback, circling the open-window to the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 9300.Shop Now

Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M

Reference Number: 231.10.42.21.01.002Case Material: SteelSize: 41.5mmPrice: AU$8,475The Seamaster Aqua Terra collection launched in 2003 with a decidedly more elegant design that the umbrella collection they were introduced under. They’re certainly more aligned with dress watch design at least, and a defining feature within the series is the use of patterned or graduated dials. The main Aqua Terra range comprises models with various coloured dials, strap materials and colours, and all employ a 41mm dial. One piece that stands out, however, is the 15,000 Gauss edition, which is truly one of a kind. That’s because this Aqua Terra is fitted with OMEGA’s Co-Axial calibre 8508, which is resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 Gauss. In case you’re not entirely sure exactly what that means, it makes this Aqua Terra capable of defying all magnetic fields on earth. Some achievement we think you’ll agree.Magnetism is a watch’s worst nightmare, as forces can interfere with the intricate movements, causing them to eventually become inaccurate over time. Most watchmakers will fit their timepieces with anti-magnetic casings to fend off the unwanted forces, but for this Aqua Terra, OMEGA made the movement from non-ferrous materials instead. The result is a movement that is still COSC-certified even after being subjected to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 Gauss. While that may be the headline feature, this Aqua Terra has many other handsome qualities, including a black dial with contrasting yellow detailing, moving it more towards a sportier look than the dress style of other models in the series.Shop Now

Seamaster 300

Reference Number: 233.60.41.21.01.001Case Material: Sedna goldSize: 41mmPrice: AU$49,425Take any high-end watch manufacturer and we’d bet our lunch money they’ll have gold and/or rose gold models in their lineup. OMEGA is no different, and we think this Sedna gold Seamaster 300 is quite possibly the best-looking gold watch the Swiss manufacturer produces.Sedna gold is an alloy unique to OMEGA that combines gold, copper and palladium, resulting in an 18K rose gold that is simply stunning. The exact hue OMEGA has achieved is made possible by the percentage of copper included in its DNA, the palladium is included to help ensure it retains that hue for as long as possible. The same Sedna gold has been applied to the hands and matching bracelet too. This particular Seamaster rocks a 41mm case, which many could consider being the sweet spot of sizing and it certainly lends itself to being suited to both casual and formal occasions – we imagine its price tag will cause you to wear it more for the latter.Of course, it’s an adept diver too, and as its name implies is capable of being submerged up to 300 metres.Shop Now

Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M “Deep Black”

Reference Number: 215.92.46.22.01.001Case Material: Black CeramicSize: 45.5mmPrice: AU$17,175The Planet Ocean has been a mainstay within the Seamaster collection since 2005 and takes the diving capabilities of its overruling father and puts them on steroids. To that end, this is a far more capable diver’s watch, being able to go down to depths of up to 600M. Other features include a helium release valve and chronometer certification.Widely regarded as one of the greatest dive watches of all time, the Planet Ocean series is deserved of receiving its share of variations, such as this “Deep Black” model. Benefitting from the same black ceramic material used for the “Dark Side of the Moon” Speedmaster, this Planet Ocean explores the dark side of the ocean instead. The all-black colouring is said to represent the ocean at 300 metres while the 18K white-gold hands provide a stark contrast and improved legibility. This model also gets an additional GMT function, because you may need to know what time it is in New York when surveying the ocean floor. It’s not common to find completely blacked out dive watches, which makes this Planet Ocean all the more desirable.Shop Now

Seamster Railmaster

Reference Number: 220.12.40.20.03.001Case Material: SteelSize: 40mmPrice: AU$7,425And now for something, completely different. The Railmaster was released in 1957 alongside the Speedmaster and Seamaster, but was sort of the outcast of the pack because it was aimed at the more unglamorous world of electrical engineering and science. But what it lacked in glamour is made up for in function, as the Railmaster was far more adept at resisting magnetic fields – and was essentially the company’s answer to the Rolex Milgauss and IWC Ingenieur. It was, up until 2017, its own collection (although has been in and out of production since its introduction) but at Baselworld that year OMEGA launched an updated version within the Seamaster collection. It’s where it remains, and while you can easily get your hands on that handsome model (part of the Trilogy Set) for something a little out of the ordinary is this double denim model.Unconventional and perhaps more fashion-focused than OMEGA has been known for, this Railmaster, sorry, Seamaster Railmaster, maintains all the hallmarks of the series, just jazzed up a little. The dial exhibits a “blue jeans” design to complement the denim NATO strap (which could prove tricky to pair with some outfits) but it’s certainly a watch to provide some individual style. In true Railmaster fashion, it retains the anti-magnetic properties that made the collection famous and is powered by the company’s 8806 calibre, which is Master Chronometer certified.Shop Now

Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch”

Reference Number: 311.30.42.30.01.005Case Material: SteelSize: 42mmPrice: $7,600Yes, we know we’ve already featured a Speedmaster Moonwatch on this list, but that all-black version may not be to everyone’s taste. Besides, that model needed to be based on an original, which happens to be this one. And it is, quite simply, an icon.Introduced in 1957 and enjoying being in production ever since, the Speedmaster Professional has been through a fair number of variations in its 63-year life. This 42mm Moonwatch is easily the most iconic however, rocking steel case and bracelet with black dial and hesalite crystal. Three sub-dials displaying small seconds, 30-minutes and 12-hours are all present and correct, along with a central chronograph hand. The movement inside the very latest Speedmaster has been through a couple of variations but is ultimately the same calibre as the one that made it to the Moon. The current version is the cal. 1861, introduced in 1996. This is based on the 861 but received the extra ‘1’ when it became rhodium plated. Both are direct descendants of the cal. 321, with all being based on Lemania movements. While all the watches in this list are worth investing in, if you only choose one, it really should be this Speedmaster.Shop Now

Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M

Reference Number: 232.30.44.22.01.001Case Material: SteelSize: 43.5mmPrice: AU$9,425The Planet Ocean 600M is another repeat entry, but like the previous Speedmaster, this version is far more simple in its approach to design, giving it far greater appeal. We also think, at 43.5mm, it’s the absolute perfect size for the majority of watch wearers. That means that while it is obviously designed to be worn by divers (and is seen by many as one of the greatest dive watches of all time) – not only because of its 600-metre water-resistance but its helium escape valve – it has found an audience in the casual watch enthusiast too.The Planet Ocean’s predecessor, the Seamaster Professional, got its 15-minutes of fame in 1995’s Goldeneye, the Planet Ocean was put under the limelight in 2006’s Casino Royale, continuing the long association with James Bond. This model also comes with a GMT function and a date window at 3 o’clock, effectively making it the ultimate tool watch.

The Coolest Dog Breeds For The Man About Town
The Coolest Dog Breeds For The Man About Town

I’ve had the pleasure of owning a few dogs that have been both best friends and amazing family companions. This got me thinking about what dog breeds are currently popular with men.In no particular order, we found ten cool dog breeds that everyone’s talking about in 2022. We do however recommend that you choose a dog breed that suits your lifestyle, accommodation, and climate (not everyone’s going to be able to have a Husky).

Coolest Dog Breed FAQs

How to choose your dog companion?

It is best to pick a dog whose characteristics best line up with your personality and lifestyle. If you spend little time at home, do not pick a breed that needs regular exercise or is known for loving companionship.

Which dog breeds are low maintenance?

All dogs need grooming but some need more than others. If you want a low-maintenance breed, better go for terriers or dachshunds. Their coats are sleek, carefree, and rarely shed hair.

Which dog breeds are easiest to train?

Some dog breeds can be more challenging to train. Usually, those that are bred to hunt alongside a man follow their instinct and impulses, like a German Shepherd or a Border Collie, are easiest to train.

Please also consider adopting your new best friend from The Lost Dogs Home or the RSPCA

Miniature Dachshund

Ok, so something called a weiner dog probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when you think “cool,” but the Miniature Dachshund is cooler than meets the eye. The standard size Dachshund was bred to scent, chase, and flush burrow-dwelling animals like badgers, while the Miniature Dachshund was developed to hunt smaller prey like rabbits. Some experts even believe that the Dachshund goes back to ancient Egypt, where similar dogs were featured in engravings and mummified in burial urns. Notable Dachshund owners include Andy Warhol and E.B. White.

French Bulldog

Frenchie fans are a fierce bunch. Few breeds inspire loyalty like the French Bulldog, which has won over legions of fans around the world (including the likes of David Beckham, Hugh Jackman, John Legend, and Jeremy Renner). French Bulldogs became popular in the 1800s, when they were introduced to France by English lace makers who were displaced by the Industrial Revolution. They were considered a highly fashionable pet and were sought after by all, from high society ladies, to Parisian prostitutes, to artists, writers, and other creative types.

Pug

How could you possibly say no to that wrinkly little face? Believe it or not, the Pug has historically hobnobbed with members of society’s elite. After being imported from China to Europe by the Dutch East India Company in the 16th century, Pugs became a favorite of the House of Orange, William II and Mary II, Spanish artist Goya, English painter William Hogarth, Queen Victoria, and others. These days the Pug prefers to mingle with Hollywood royalty, with starring roles in films like Men in Black, various fictional print media, and video games.

Weimaraner

The Weimaraner was bred to be a noble-looking, reliable hunting dog exclusively for members of the higher classes. The name comes from the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Karl August, whose court, based in the city of Weimar, enjoyed hunting. The Weimaraner was so prized that, unlike other hunting dogs that were kept in kennels, the Weimaraner lived with the family.Fun fact: two Weimaraners can be seen in the music video for “What’s My Age Again?” by pop-punk pioneers Blink-182. How’s that for a claim to fame?

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Also known as a Staffie, Stafford, Staffy, or Staff, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is small but mighty. This little guy is descended from dog-fighting ancestors, making him a stocky and muscular breed that looks like a compact version of the Pit Bull. Early “proto-staffords” participated in bloodsports like bull baiting, bear baiting, and fights with other animals, and were prized for the quality of pluckiness or “gameness.”Bloodsports are long gone, but the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is still a winner; intelligent, fearless, loyal, affectionate with humans, and relatively easy to train.

Boxer

If you’re looking for big and badass, the Boxer might be the dog for you. The Boxer is a stocky, medium-sized, short-haired dog bred in Germany from the Old English Bulldog and the Bullenbeisser, a breed that’s now extinct. The breed is so badass, in fact, that it was used for military work during World War I and introduced to the general public by returning soldiers after World War II.The name “Boxer” is supposedly derived from the breed’s tendency to play by standing on its hind legs and “boxing” with its front paws which, frankly, sounds too adorable to miss out on.

Italian Greyhound

There’s something so loveable about those spindly little legs, and the incredible amount of power they pack. The name of the Italian Greyhound is a reference to the breed’s popularity in Renaissance Italy, where they were probably the only accepted companion dog. Pictorials of small Greyhounds have been found in Pompeii, and their ancestors were reportedly seen in Emperor Nero’s court in the first century AD.Today, the modern Italian Greyhound competes in racing and agility competitions, and an Italian Greyhound is one of the most popular stars on the Internet, appearing in YouTube sensation Jenna Marbles’ videos.

Dalmatian

Let’s skip the obvious 101 Dalmatians joke and get straight to the heart of things. The Dalmatian’s roots can be traced back to the historical region of Dalmatia in Croatia, where the first illustrations of the breed have been found. Then, it was used as a guard dog and a companion to the nomads of Dalmatia. Now, the Dalmatian is often used as a rescue dog, guardian, athletic partner, family pet, and fire dog.Dalmatians also have a strong hunting instinct and have been used as bird dogs, trail hounds, retrievers, or in packs for boar or stag hunting. They’ve even made appearances in the circus.

Vizsla

The Vizsla is a Hungarian hunting breed with an impressive nose, outstanding trainability, and a distinctive rust-coloured coat. The breed survived the Turkish Occupation, the Hungarian Revolution, WWI, WWII, the Russian Occupation, and several near-extinctions in their history to rise to prominence once again. In addition to its hunting skills and beautiful appearance, it’s the temperament that really makes the Vizsla stand out: the breed is gentle, loyal, affectionate, and friendly with family and strangers alike. They are even sometimes referred to as “velcro dogs” because of their devotion to their owners.

Siberian Husky

Who hasn’t wanted one of these at one point or another? The Siberian Husky is an active and resilient breed that originated in the extremely harsh, cold environment of the Siberian Arctic. They were bred to pull heavy loads across long distances in difficult conditions (sometimes up to 40 miles per day!), which made them ideal to be used as sled dogs when they became popular outside of Siberia. The Siberian Husky is highly intelligent, making them a great choice for obedience trials, but also making them consummate escape artists and earning them a reputation for opening refrigerators and helping themselves to the contents.

However, for men looking for big and tall hoodies, it can be tougher to find one that is good quality and stylish in a size that actually fits. So, naturally, we’re here to help.

Features of a good big & tall hoodie

Features to look out for in a big & tall hoodie are quality craftsmanship, a perfect fit, decent movement, and versatility (will it transition from a casual loungewear outfit to a smart casual dinner & drinks look?).

These traits will ensure the hoodie not only looks good but will remain in your wardrobe rotation for years to come.

Naturally, you’ll also want to consider whether you want a pullover or a zip-up style. Zip-up hoodies are naturally easier to take off and put on but pullovers tend to be much more comfortable.
