Costly Mistakes Food Couriers Make & How To Avoid Them
Costly Mistakes Food Couriers Make & How To Avoid Them

Whether you have a thirsty side hustle to get off the ground, a gleaming car you’ve got your eye on or you’re prone to the odd online shopping binge, sometimes we all need a bit of extra cash. Only 10 years ago this would have required us to get a part time job (or re-assess our spending habits). But now, with the gig economy in full swing, you have ~options~.

Chief among them are Uber Eats and Deliveroo; as long as you have a smartphone and a bike (or car), you’re well on your way to being a courier. But before you start you’re going to want to know which will get you most buck for bang. Which pays a higher hourly rate? Which pays more per delivery? Which has me covered if I have an accident (if any)?

These are important questions to ask, because depending on where you live (i.e. how many orders you will typically be receiving) the answer will differ. And if you’re going to spend your nights delivering mouth-watering food (while later chowing down on cold beans and rice) you want to make the maximum number of dollars possible.

According to the ABC, Deliveroo riders receive $16 per hour, and $2.50 extra per delivery in established Deliveroo zones (i.e. big cities or urban hubs). But in trial areas, Deliveroo riders are typically paid $0 per hour, with $10 per delivery. Deliveroo claims that those riders, on average, earn $20 per hour.

This means that working for Deliveroo, if you don’t receive at least an order an hour (or, in trial zones, two orders per hour), you’ll be earning less than the delivery courier award rate, which is $18.31 for every hour of work. You’re also coming home with no superannuation, annual leave, penalty rates or insurance: the price of flexibility.

Uber Eats don’t pay a set wage either, and calculate your delivery fee using a drop-off fee, pick-up fee, and a fee per kilometre for the distance travelled to drop-off from pick-up. And of course—they then take a cut (35% if you’re on a bike, 30% if you’re driving a motor bike or car).

Uber Eats breaks it down as follows:

Pick-up fee: $5.50 per pick-up
Drop-off fee: $3.50 per drop-off
Delivery distance: $2.20 per km

This means that, after factoring in vehicle expenses, UberEATS drivers make roughly $8 to $12 per hour (if you’re riding a bike you don’t have to factor in vehicle expenses, but probably aren’t making as many deliveries, so you’d be looking at something similar).

This means that Deliveroo, with its $16 per hour base rate (and $2.50 per delivery rate) is the superior option if you are working non peak hours (i.e. not during lunch or dinner time) or you live in an area where you can’t be sure of a high number of deliveries.

Uber Eats, on the other hand, offers you the chance to make more commission, with its $6 delivery rate ($5.50 per pick up and $3.50 per drop off makes $9, which Uber takes 30% from, leaving you with $6) and its $2.20 per kilometre pay scheme.

To keep it simple: Deliveroo pays $2.50 per delivery on top of a $16 per hour base rate, while Uber pays $6 per delivery, on top of $2.20 per kilometre you drive while making it.

We’d recommend trying them both at the times of day you are planning on working in, calculating how many deliveries you get on average, and taking it from there. And to squeeze even more juice out of this delivery gig, here are some mistakes to avoid.

Working Outside Of Peak Demand

This one should be a no brainer, but we’ll say it anyway: work when you can complete the most number of deliveries possible. Especially with Uber Eats, who pay $6 per delivery, you could make $24 in an hour, just by completing four deliveries.

Not Completing Multiple Orders At Once

How do you complete four deliveries in one hour, you might be wondering. By picking up multiple orders from the same restaurant. Although this only counts as one pick up, you will most likely be delivering them to different addresses, where they count as distinct ($3.50) drop offs, and more opportunities to get a tip (which goes straight to you).

Dawdling

If you dawdle you’re not so much sticking it to the man as shooting yourself in the foot. In other words: don’t rush and put yourself (and the customer’s pizza) in danger, but don’t mess about either. Not only will this lead to less deliveries (i.e. less commission) but reduces your chances of getting a tip, and can negatively affect your rating.

Not Becoming An Uber Ride Sharer As Well

Uber Eats delivery pay is lower than Uber ridesharing pay, which, according to Ridesharer, is closer to $11 – $16 per hour after accounting for expenses. And you can do both at the same time: there is a button in the Uber App that allows you to indicate you are open to one or the other (or both). This is a particularly good option when demand is quiet, or inconsistent.

Not Being Aware Of ‘Boost’ Zones

During certain times of day, Uber creates geographical ‘Boost’ zones that multiply your earnings when delivering in that area (i.e. an incentive to drive in areas with high order demand). To make sure you’re working in one of these zones, check the app home screen, which will show you where it is the earnings multiplier for that day (it depends), and when the multiplier is available.

Not Taking Advantage Of Surge Pricing

Surge pricing is another earnings multiplier triggered during times of high demand. This one gets applied automatically though, so don’t worry about it too much.

What Are Male Sex Supplements & Do You Need Them?
What Are Male Sex Supplements & Do You Need Them?

Here’s a fact: young men are having less sex than the generation before them. Despite the array of dating tools we have at our fingertips, we’ve been paralysed by choice. Either that or “relationship culture” has shifted to “hook up culture”—and no matter how good your swipe skills are, it’s hard to line up enough “rendez vous” that you’re having as much sex as you would be in a relationship. That in mind: if you are then suffering from, ahem, performance issues, you make it even harder for yourself to attract a “friend with benefits.” Or if you are in a relationship, but are not satisfied with your sex life, it could slowly be taking its toll. Before you scoff, remember: 40 to 70 percent of men experience some kind of sexual dysfunction in their lifetime. This is where supplements come in.Of course, before you open your wallet, you should have a chat with your local GP, or a qualified nutritionist in order to work out if the problem can be solved naturally, or to get a personalised prescription (even if you don’t get a prescription, it is important to speak with your doctor to get important information about the appropriate dosage and possible side effects of your supplements on the medications you’re currently taking).RELATED: Testosterone Supplements Could Get You Absolutely Shredded In Your 50s…But At What Cost? That said, if you get the dosage right, and take the right supplement for you, you could open up a whole new world of “bed time” (or lunch time, or—indeed—anytime) possibilities. Emphasis on could—some studies show certain supplements to be effective, others show them to be ineffective—or even potentially harmful. So make sure you do your research before pulling the trigger.

DHEA

Good for: Enhancing sex drive, minimising erectile dysfunction.DHEA is a hormone produced by your adrenal glands, which your body then uses to produce sex hormones, according to The Mayo Clinic. Also, according to a Science Daily study, DHEA is relatively safe, and although there are studies which have shown it to be an ineffective supplement, others suggest it can benefit people with decreased libido, improve sexual function, and minimise erectile dysfunction in men.

Fenugreek

Good for: Intensifying sexual arousal and orgasm, reducing recovery time.Fenugreek is one of the only supplements the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center found to be worthwhile in a study which slammed “most” supplements as “unproven” and “harmful.” As Science Daily reports, “One study noted (Fenugreek’s) benefit in terms of improving sexual arousal and orgasm, as well as muscle strength, energy and well-being. There were no adverse events reported in that study and many swear by it.

Ginkgo Biloba

Good for: nothing.Ginkgo Biloba has been marketed to treat numerous conditions. However there is no convincing data to support its use in men with erectile dysfunction. Also, as Science Daily reports, “It can cause headaches, seizures and significant bleeding, especially if patients are taking Coumadin.”

Ginseng

Good for: Boosting overall sexual health.Ginseng is a “power” herb that’s long been known as an aphrodisiac in traditional Chinese medicine. It’s also now the most common ingredient in men’s sexual health supplements. But does it really work? A study published in the PMC showed ginseng had a positive effect on volunteers’ libido and sexual performance. It also suggested Ginseng could improve the sperm quality and count of healthy men, as well those with fertility issues.

Horny Goat Weed

Good for: Not being too harmful. Not good for: benefiting your sexual function.Horny Goat Weed is generally safe, Science Daily reports, with rare reports of toxicity. Unfortunately though, there is no hard evidence (beyond rumours) that it will improve your sexual prowess.

L-Arginine

Good for: Erectile dysfunction.L-Arginine is the most common amino acid seen in men’s health supplements, and is also in about a third of top sellers. It has the theoretical potential to improve erectile function (although more extensive testing is required) and, according to Science Daily, seems relatively safe. One word of warning though, for anyone looking to try this one, is that is often causes a drop in blood pressure—something you should discuss with your doctor.

L-Citrulline

Good for: Erectile dysfunction.Although different studies have obtained different results, some found that it’s better to take L’Citrulline, which your body converts to L-Arginine, rather than L-Arginine directly (which gets metabolised too quickly to be useful). One study, for example, done on men with mild erectile dysfunction, showed that L-Citrulline supplements (1.5g per day for one month) amplified 50 percent of participants’ erection hardness scores from 3 (mild ED) to 4 (normal erectile function).

Yohimbine

Good for: risk takers…While yohimbine has shown promise for improving male sexual function in some studies, Science Daily warns, “It can cause hypertension, headache, agitation, insomnia and sweating.”

Maca

Good for: sex drive and (potentially) ED.Although further study is necessary to gain hard evidence for the effectiveness of maca in the improvement of overall sexual function, one experiment published in the US National Library of Medicine, found men who took maca plant supplements for three months experienced a stronger sex drive.RELATED: Foods You Thought Were Unsexy But Actually Enhance Your Libido

Men Reveal The “Struggles” Of Being A Poor Guy Dating A Rich Girl
Men Reveal The “Struggles” Of Being A Poor Guy Dating A Rich Girl

Some call it living the dream, others call it a living nightmare. From $12,000 per month trust fund payouts to a rich girl’s parents buying clothes for the boyfriend to look more presentable in public, Reddit users have today revealed some of the modern plights of dating a rich girl.

In theory, whether it’s male or female, everyone’s pondered the idea of dating a rich person at one point in their life. Some of the more expected social trappings are evident in these stories, but it’s the intrinsic psyche of rich people that really add a bit of intrigue to this conversation.

Some of these insights may actually even surprise you. Or turn you off from going near people with money.

Just Because You’re Rich, Doesn’t Mean You’re An A$$hole

Surprise. Quite a few Redditors actually gave their past rich partners a good wrap. One user, Xyko13, explained that he was never quite sure exactly how rich his girlfriend was at the time, but “when she went for the holidays, if she wanted to say, stay in Shanghai and then go to Beijing later, she didn’t have to look at hotels or Airbnb, she just had to make sure she grabbed the right set of keys. It was weird.”

Xyko13 also explained that the girl he dated wasn’t dripping with designer clothes and got around in a fuel efficient compact car.

“She was a super sweet, down to earth girl. Biggest heart in the world, very hard working, and acted like a child in a candy shop everywhere she went. I think the biggest strain came when we would eat together. For me, money was tight and the best way to stretch my college scholarship money was to cook meals in bulk. Before she met me, she ate out literally every single meal.”

After some time his girlfriend adjusted to a more frugal lifestyle and settled for forking out for their groceries whilst he cooked the meals as a form of pay back.

User PforPanchetta511 experienced something similar with his one-time rich girlfriend whose dad was (seriously) a lawyer.

“Honestly? They were great people to be around,” he says. “They were old money and not snotty or overly pretentious. Yes they had a big ass old house and drove quality (not overly flashy) cars. Yes they had whatever they wanted but not at all in a ‘look at me’ type way.”

“I on the other hand was DIRT POOR!!! I mean in the early 90’s grunge was a blessing for me because I looked like that already. But her parents didn’t care and were always very welcoming. Her mom even took me to my first punk show. I guess it’s true when they say cash screams and wealth whispers.”

The Unassuming Leech

Naturally, there’s the good, the bad and the ugly. And then there’s the perennially spoilt.

User madevilfish lived in a rich area of the bay area.

“My GF at the time was very rich for this already wealthy area. But she truly had no concept of money. Her trust fund payout was $12,000 a month. Her family bought her a brand new Porsche because her car was a five year old BMW M5.”

“It was honestly like dating an alien. Any issues I had in everyday life were just so far out of her life experience.”

She May Leave Your Poor A$$ For Someone Wealthier

She may be the best girlfriend in the world but sometimes even that’s not enough to keep a relationship going. User Runlikehell67 had it pretty tough according to his tango with a rich girl. The hardest thing he experience in the relationship was keeping up with her lifestyle.

“She wanted to go on European trips, expensive vacations, expensive restaurants. She made very good money and I was limited in my funds and had to spread it out. I couldn’t just fly to the Caribbean at the drop of a hat. So, in turn, she left me for a guy who could.”

“The thing is, I have money, a great career and we dated for 2+ years and had a great time while together; we did a lot stuff. As a matter of fact, she was probably the best GF I had ever had but the underlying thing was that no matter what I always felt this feeling of not being enough.”

Runlikehell67 notes that her salary in the six figure region was more than double his.

“In the end she admitted to wishing I had more financial freedom and that it bothered her. It hurt like hell to hear something so personally insulting from someone I loved. So she found someone who was in her tax bracket, so to speak.”

Ouch.

Her Family Can Be Image Conscious

One user named Onett didn’t just date a rich girl, he also dated a senator’s daughter in high school which would bring with it unique set of requisites.

“Everything was about keeping up appearances and we had to be careful where we went in public and stuff like that. Her parents offered to get me nicer clothes to wear when we went to dinner in public but I felt weird about it. Relationship didn’t last long, I’m not good at being political.”

Perceived Distinction Of A ‘Crisis’

And finally we have the rich persons bubble. The definition of a dilemma is often reflected by one’s own experiences.

A user named Supreme0verl0rd experienced this first hand as a self-proclaimed “dirt poor college student dating a wealthy girl”.

“The most frustrating thing for me was that our definition of a crisis was so different. From month-to-month I would literally not know whether I could afford my rent or be able to put gas in my car and she would be freaking out about some (to me) minor social issue or whether a store carried a fashion brand she liked.”

“It definitely made things difficult and I had to remember that it’s your perspective that dictates what is a crisis and what isn’t. It was honestly a lesson I’ve tried to remember over the years.”

User SethRogen-Not says that the biggest struggle for him was “how out of touch she was with everyday money issues”.

“I dated a girl in college that came from a VERY wealthy family (Texas oil money). Like, she flew from Dallas to Florida (where we went to school) in her daddy’s business jet. That kinda rich.”

He recalls a situation where his car was damaged in a parking lot.

“I was totally upset about it. She was like, ‘It’s ok, you can just get a new one!’ She had no concept of how insurance or deductibles work and she didn’t understand that I could not simply go out and get it fixed right away.”

Even rock concerts weren’t off limits. His girlfriend wanted him to fly to Miami to see U2 with her.

“She had front row tickets. I couldn’t go because I had to work. She didn’t understand that my boss would not give a shit about how cool it would be to see U2 (this was before they sucked).”

You Can Get A Faster Metabolism Without Exercising; A Dietician Explains How
You Can Get A Faster Metabolism Without Exercising; A Dietician Explains How

Some people are blessed with the ability to inhale a pack of donuts and a tub of Ben & Jerry’s each week. At DMARGE we have a name for those people: lucky buggers. For the rest of us; keeping our waistlines in check is not so simple.Even if you are one of the lucky few, as the years go on, we all hit a point where our metabolism slows. And whether it’s summer cocktails or winter “comfort food,” the end result is the same: kilos creeping in. So what’s a guy to do? Read up on how to dress a dad bod? Or fight the ageing cycle with all his might?Although there’s no shame in the former, we’d definitely recommend the latter. With that in mind, we hit up an accredited dietician and sports nutritionist, Robbie Clark, to see if there’s a way to speed up your metabolism that doesn’t involve coffee or cigarettes. But first; if one is to optimise their metabolism, it’s important they understand what it is. Essentially, your metabolism is the rate at which calories are used up in order to sustain your bodily functions. If you have a fast metabolism you digest food (and burn calories) quickly, if you have a slow metabolism the opposite is true.

“Your metabolism accounts for 50-70 percent of the energy used each day.”

“Your metabolism refers to the chemical and physical processes that occur continuously inside the body, which keeps us functioning normally in order to stay alive,” Robbie told us. “These processes include breathing, nerve function and blood circulation as well as the breakdown of nutrients from food and drink that is then converted to energy.”“Other influences include the level of physical activity and the thermic effect of the food you consume (energy that is used to digest and absorb your food),” he added. This means, despite your metabolism being to some extent genetic, by making a few lifestyle changes you can speed it up. And although hitting the gym can help, Robbie urged us first to look at diet: “Specifically, from a diet point of view, higher levels of fat storage can impact negatively on our metabolism. Therefore, maintaining a healthy weight is optimum for a healthy metabolism.”If you think you have a slow metabolism (or your metabolism has recently slowed), there are certain vitamin deficiencies to watch out for, which might be causing it. These are:

  • Vitamin D – Low levels of vitamin D result in your body producing certain hormones that are responsible for fat cells to hoard and store fat rather than burn it.
  • Chromium – This mineral is responsible for the metabolism of fats, carbohydrates (particularly glucose), and insulin. People with a chromium deficiency are at risk of impaired glucose intolerance and therefore, type 2 diabetes.
  • Magnesium – Magnesium is a co-factor of many enzymes involved in glucose metabolism. It has an important role in the action of insulin, and insulin stimulates magnesium uptake in insulin-sensitive tissues. Therefore, people with lower levels of magnesium may be at higher risk of insulin resistance, which causes fat to accumulate around the abdomen.

Robbie also warned that if you follow a strict diet with the premise of a low-calorie intake, this may lead to nutrient deficiencies due to the risk of limited variety in food choices: “Put simply, your body goes into ‘starvation mode’ when you eat less than you need for basic bodily function.” This then slows down your metabolism, creating the opposite effect to what you intended.Further rules to live by, to give your metabolism a boost, include:

  • Avoid fad diets – these usually are very low or too low in total calories and eliminate certain food groups, which may place you at risk of nutrient deficiencies.
  • Reduce alcohol consumption – a high alcohol consumption contributes to fat storage and hormone imbalance.
  • Pump up the protein – your body digests protein more slowly than fat or carbohydrates, which makes you feel fuller for longer. Appropriate protein intake for your age, gender, mass and activity level will also assist in building and preserving lean muscle mass.
  • Add spice to your food e.g. chilli, cayenne pepper.
  • Avoid trans-fats – these fats bind to fat and liver cells, which may slow metabolism and increase inflammation in the body.
  • Consume green tea – the active ingredient, catechin found in green tea may boost your metabolism.

In light of this, we asked Robbie if speeding up your metabolism is a worthwhile goal to focus on, or whether it should be considered a by-product of a healthy diet.“Unfortunately,” he replied, “As you get older, your metabolic rate generally slows because the ageing process results in a decrease in your muscle mass and an increase in the amount of fat stored.”“In addition, there are a number of hormonal and neurological changes that take place, which will also have an effect on levels of stored fat. As we cannot defy the process of ageing, a reduction in metabolism is naturally unavoidable.”However; as seen in the dietary advice above, we can slow the process. And although your food intake is crucial to look at: there are a number of extra steps Robbie says you can take:

Exercise

To increase your metabolism through physical activity, any form of cardiovascular exercise is good. However, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can be particularly effective, due to the concept of “after-burn” – that is, an increase in resting metabolic rate that occurs for up to 24-hours post-exercise. Weight/resistance training to build lean muscle mass is also vital for optimal metabolism as muscle is more metabolically active than fat mass. Additionally, this type of training helps maintain or even boost levels of testosterone. Therefore, engage in consistent strength/resistance training.

Sleep

If you get too little sleep, your metabolism slows down to conserve energy, which then triggers the release of the stress hormone cortisol. Having consistent high levels of cortisol increases fat cell growth and storage because visceral fat tissue contains a high number of cortisol receptors which responds to the circulating cortisol in the blood. As a result, this can negatively affect our metabolism.

Hormone Balance

Metabolism is controlled by the thyroid gland in the neck, which in turn is governed by a part of the brain called the hypothalamus. The speed of your metabolism depends on complex chemical messages, which are sent to your brain by your body, telling it how much it needs to function optimally. If there is an imbalance with your thyroid hormones, this may slow your metabolism down. Therefore, it may be beneficial to get your (thyroid) hormones tested to make sure they are within optimal ranges.

Stress Management

Cortisol is produced in the adrenal glands and while it is needed to maintain normal physiological processes during times of stress, prolonged elevated cortisol levels can lead to hypertension, glucose intolerance, diabetes, fatigue, muscle loss and increased infections – all things that will influence your metabolism. Therefore, managing stress is a major contributor to optimising your metabolism.RELATED: Lebron James’ Ketogenic Diet Could Be Your Ticket To Becoming A Shredded Beast…But At What Cost?

Vacheron Constantin Create A Watch That ‘Hibernates’ When It Isn’t Worn

In nature there are animals that can slow down their heart rate in order to hibernate over the harshest winters. Come spring and these animals thaw as their heart rates rise, allowing them to kick back to life as if nothing happened.

Vacheron Constantin have taken this very same principle of nature and applied it to their latest Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar. When worn, the Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar beats at a high frequency that is aligned with the modern active lifestyles. The watch conventionally displays the hours, minutes, date, month, leap year cycle and power reserve on its dial.

When the watch comes off the wrist at the day’s end, Vacheron’s in-house developed calibre 3610 QP automatically slows down in order to guarantee an extended power reserve of at least 65 days. This creation from the Swiss watchmaker essentially marries a high-frequency Active mode and low-frequency Standby mode in order to achieve lossless timekeeping whether the watch is on the wrist or resting on a side table.

Even more surprising is the compact 42mm case which is a feat considering the high complication and extended power reserve feature.

The 18th century art on the dial which features frosted and sandblasted finishes is a fine contrast to the mechanical innovation within.

The Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar is no doubt one of the more extravagant pieces of SIHH 2019.

“The Revolution Of Man”: The Book Helping Men Re-Claim Their Masculinity
“The Revolution Of Man”: The Book Helping Men Re-Claim Their Masculinity

There has been a lot of backlash to the term “toxic masculinity” because it implies all masculinity is toxic. And you don’t need to be a genius to realise this is an oversimplified conclusion to a complex sociological problem.

However, putting the phrase’s wording aside, the staggering rates of suicide and domestic violence make it clear that the “positive” and “negative” aspects of masculinity need to be distilled, and—difficult as that may be—that’s exactly what Phil Barker attempts to do in his latest work: The Revolution Of Man.

Of course there is a grey area; expectations can cultivate diverse attitudes across individuals. For instance: the trope that “men are tough” could lead one boy to develop mental resilience, another to become an insensitive jerk and yet another—if he can’t live up to it—to feelings of angst, depression or even suicide. So the context in which masculine narratives are delivered, as well as their nuance, clearly matters.

Likewise: a bit of banter between mates is ok, but bullying is not. But much as we would like there to be one, there is not always an obvious place to draw the line. Human interaction is not that clear cut. In light of this, it is too simplistic to say that “all masculinity is toxic.” However, given the rampant toxic behaviours like sexual assault, bullying and homophobia that still exist within our society, it is clear men’s attitudes and masculine culture needs to change—for the sake of everyone.

As Phil Barker writes: “There’s no downside to a world in which men avoid the behaviour dictated by the Man Box (his term for toxic masculinity) and policed by other men. Women win. They won’t get bashed, raped and murdered as much. Our children win. We can become unshakeable rocks on which they can build the foundations of their lives. Men win. We’ll stop killing ourselves. We’ll experience the life-saving happiness of wonderful relationships and love in our lives.”

The question is, “How?”

Well, building on more than 25 years of journalism experience, Barker—former editor of NW and Woman’s Day magazines, and contributor at Vogue, GQ, Delicious, InsideOut and Donna Hay—has made an attempt at answering that very question, unpacking the myth of the ‘Man Box’ and Australian masculinity in his latest book: The Revolution Of Man.

Peter FitzSimons, bestselling author of Kokoda says: “This book is the conversation we need to have-with each other, our sons and fathers,” while Steve Biddulph, a psychologist and bestselling author of Manhood calls it, “‘A terrific read-gutsy, plain-speaking and personal, addressing almost every aspect of Australian men’s lives today.”

“This book will greatly help the growing avalanche of masculine change.”

Tracey Spicer, journalist and bestselling author, adds: ‘Phil Barker skewers toxic masculinity and provides a manifesto for modern manhood,” she says. “This well-researched, engaging and thought-provoking book explains why positive masculinity is good for men, women and children. We need more male allies like Phil to create a safer future for the post #MeToo generation.”

While this may come across as an attack on masculinity: it’s actually an opportunity to use it—to fight against the negative expectations that hold us back, and the toxic attitudes (and behaviours) they can lead to.

As Phil Barker knows only too well (having spent years investigating suicide, domestic violence, pornography and misogyny—alongside the essential bonds of male friendship, fatherhood and men’s relationships with women), men are as sick and tired of being forced into a performance of masculinity that is “suffocating, limiting and damaging,” as women are of dealing with the fallout.

David Beckham Went Full Peaky Blinders For Paris Fashion Week

When it comes to dressing for an occasion, you’d expect no less from David Beckham. The world’s most stylish father stepped out over the weekend in Paris in a full Peaky Blinders ensemble.

And for those who don’t know what Peaky Blinders is, it’s a television series which glorifies the British gangs of the early 1900s. Think paper boy hats, Savile Row three-piece suits, cigars and just the right amount of badass dappery thrown in.

The stylish stand over man look was updated by Beckham who paired a sky blue button up with a green cardigan, charcoal overcoat, dark selvedge denim and brown leather boots to pull off the look.

It’s a perfect addition to the northern winter and one that stands out thanks to well thought-out layering. It seemed even fashion maestro and the artistic director of Dior, Kim Jones, approved of the look.
