The post ‘Thirsty Camelling’; Dating Experts Reveal Embarrassing New Trend You’ll Soon Need To Avoid appeared first on DMARGE.
We could all do with some coconut-scented suntan oil, a personal butler and Sex On The Beach. But, for most of us, 2020 has us wrapped up like a grizzly bear. In other words: unless you’re super-rich (or European), any international fling appears off the cards until at least 2021.
Although Australians readied themselves to sink 472 Bintangs as Bali announced plans to re-open in July, the truth is – even if Bali is set to receive you – your home country might not let you leave, and even if it does, no travel insurance company will cover any Coronavirus-related costs your trip may incur.
That in mind, it was with surprise (and let’s be honest, jealousy), that DMARGE logged into the new private jet booking app JetClass to see how the other half book.
The results? Let’s just say – even if it remains uncertain whether a European travel bubble will come to fruition this year – the Relatively Rich of the world (or at least those selling to them) are betting it will.
First up though: what exactly is JetClass? Put simply: it’s a rideshare app for private jets, aimed at those rich enough to eschew commercial first-class, but who don’t own a bombardier.
According to the New Zealand Herald, JetClass was created in response to the “suspension, or vast reductions in operations by the world’s major airlines in the face of [the pandemic].”
After logging into the app, DMARGE discovered every destination in its database was available to be booked from mid-July.

One-way tickets from London to Paris were available to be booked from the 17th of July for €3,000. From Frankfurt to Zurich it was much the same: a one-way ticket was available to be booked, also from the 17th of July, for €2,900.

Brussels to Zurich (again, one way) was available to be booked from the 15th of July for €2,900, and Milan to Nice, along with various other Old World routes, was available from the 17th July for €2,900 a pop.

Looking to the future, CNN reports, “The world’s biggest tourist playground has been roped off since it became a coronavirus epicenter, but as summer looms Europe is desperate to lift restrictions to get visitors pumping much needed cash into stricken economies.”
“Last week, the European Union unveiled an action plan to get its internal borders reopening, safely fire up its hospitality sector and to revive rail, road, air and sea connections that have been strangled during the pandemic.”
This comes as various European tourist hotspots like Sicily, Greece, Tuscany and Iceland have all announced initiatives (from airport testing to subsidizing visitors’ airfares) to return their GDP-boosting tourism levels to normal as soon as possible.
Although they are often the subject of ridicule, luxury travellers might be the ones who keep tourism alive in the meantime.

Now that you have your head wrapped around when and how to work out, all you need now is to know: in what order should you do it? Should you be doing cardio or weight training first?
Regardless of whether you have your gym workout ready to go in the comfort of your own home, many trainers and gym-goers alike can be confused as to whether they should be doing cardio or weights to begin their gruelling workout regime.
Some use a gentle jog as a warm-up, some incorporate treadmill sprints into their weights session to boost their heart rate. But what are the consequences of when you do cardio? Let’s turn to the experts to find out.
To weigh in on the argument, online body transformation coach, @jameskewfitness took to Instagram to put ‘when to do’ cardio debate to bed.

As James suggests, “The general rule I give to people is to prioritise your main goal.” Because after all, if you plan on building muscle, you aren’t necessarily going to focus on running as the main source of your workout.
“If your goal is to improve your cardiovascular endurance, then do cardio first… if your goal is to change your body shape by having more muscle and less fat, then strength training should come first.”
While weight training can generally be more apparent than cardio, and tends to take longer to recover from, James claims that “no amount of cardio will result in fat loss if you’re eating too many calories.”

“If you want to lose fat, then your main focus should be on creating a calorie deficit through your diet,” James added.
“The stuff we want to lose! If you prioritise cardio, your strength training will be less effective, meaning you put yourself at a greater risk of losing muscle instead of fat.”
If you’re careful (and if they work for you, personally), the Keto or The Carnivore Diet can help with this.
Combine that with a smart workout plan and you are sure to get ripped like the Stenmark Twins or Quade Cooper.

Emirates has decided to cut complimentary wifi to reduce costs in these customer-starved times.
As the Centre For Aviation (CAPA) reported this morning, “free live TV” found itself on the chopping block too, as the Dubai-based carrier slashes unnecessary costs to get it through the current pandemic.
Aviation blog One Mile At A Time also picked up on the changes, reporting on Sunday, “Though Emirates hasn’t even resumed regularly scheduled operations yet, the airline is already making cuts to the onboard experience.”
“Emirates has now updated their website to reflect that they’re no longer offering free wifi. Rather for all passengers the wifi pricing and packages that are available vary by route.”
As Emirates, until now, has been a full-service airline, which provided all passengers with 20MB of free wifi throughout the flight (those at the pointy end got unlimited), you might think this decision would ruffle a lot of feathers.
Good change I would argue. Because the bandwidth was previously so clogged up the WiFi was impossible to use
— Dominicus (@DominicusHKG) May 16, 2020
However, passengers are unlikely to migrate to other airlines, we’d say due to this decision for two reasons. First: it’s likely to just be temporary (and if not, it will be reflective of an industry-wide trend).
Secondly: Emirates’ wifi (or any in-flight wifi we’ve ever had the misfortune of using), in our experience, never worked very well anyway (or only worked for an insanely short period of time, to do little more than send messages on FB or Whatsapp).
In any case, the decision has sparked debate amongst frequent flyers (see: Simple Flying and One Mile At A Time) about whether this is the beginning of the end for the golden age of cheap, accessory abundant travel.
“If Emirates is cutting costs in this way I unfortunately don’t have much faith for the rest of the industry when it comes to the onboard experience,” (One Mile At A Time).
“At this point I think the industry might be going back about a decade in time in terms of the passenger experience and soft product — while we’ll still have great seats in premium cabins, expect cost-cutting with just about everything else,” One Mile At A Time added.
“I’d be surprised if many US airlines continue to offer cookies or pretzels in economy, if Delta continues offering their elevated international economy experience, if American continues to operate Flagship First Dining, etc.”
Though only customer bookings (and Google Search volume for “Ryanair’s business model”) will tell, this comes in a context where, for this year at least, experts are predicting international travel may be reserved for Luxury Travellers Only.
Your caravan awaits…

With lockdown laws still in place across much of the world, forcing people to remain inside their homes, to not go and visit non-household members and to only make essential trips outside, it’s fair dinkum that people are starting to get a little restless.
The Dutch have engineered a solution to alleviate and de-stress its nationals (and let’s be honest, who else would it be) by telling them to find a “seksbuddy”. We don’t think any translation is needed there.
As reported by The Guardian, the new measures, implemented over the weekend, recommend those without a fellow sheet-shuffler, go above and beyond to find someone else in a similar situation and come to a mutually beneficial arrangement, quickly.
The Netherlands has actually been one of the countries to not go as strict as some others, allowing its residents to have up to three other people in their home since lockdown was introduced on March the 23rd, just as long as they keep to a social distance when inside. That’s obviously not feasible or ergonomic when it comes to bedroom antics, and so the Government has said they can now find one partner to see out the rest of the lockdown with.
View this post on Instagram
The official comments still come with guidelines, however, as they ask nationals to: “…meet with the same person to have physical or sexual contact (for example, a cuddle buddy or ‘sex buddy’), provided you are free of illness.”
“Make good arrangements with this person about how many other people you both see. The more people you see, the greater the chance of (spreading) the coronavirus.”
The above implies the Government wants its residents to keep their number of ‘seksbuddies’ to just one, but it also doesn’t place a restriction on it. And while we all know people love a loophole (so if distancing and good hygiene are maintained, then there could be no limit to the number of ‘seksual’ partners one can have) the responsible thing to do – and what could be a smart model to be followed the world over, at least for the time being – is to follow the guidelines and find your lucky one…
We don’t have official numbers to draw from, but dating apps have all seen a surge in usage in the past few months as people are no longer able to meet someone else out in the real world. The more matches and conversations that are destined to lead further can now be taken advantage of…in the Netherlands, at least.
For those already well seen to, as it were, before the lockdown laws were implemented (and to an extent, those who have yet to meet), the Dutch Government has advised them from not engaging in bedroom fun if one of them has had to spend two weeks in isolation due to a possible infection (and perhaps for some time after it was discovered the COVID-19 disease could be present in semen).
Instead, the Government advises people in this situation to have “Sex with yourself or with others at a distance is possible (think of telling erotic stories, masturbating together).” It’s certainly one way to get to know someone before you really get to know them.

The Dutch, who are so often touted as an (inspirational) beacon of craziness, could now be seen as a model country to people around the globe and the recent guidelines could be adopted by other nations as a way to encourage safer sex (while also treating citizens like adults) during this time. It would certainly be a suitable compromise, we’re sure.
As for whether it actually will change the way single people date in the future remains to be seen, as ‘exclusive’ relationships are already commonplace. In Australia, restrictions have begun easing, with people now free to gather in groups of up to 10 outside and up to five inside the home.
Of course, if our sex-starved singles begin making up for the lost time by jumping from bed to bed and a second wave of the virus is introduced into the country, the chastity belts will have to be rolled out.
At the time of writing, The Netherlands has reported 43,995 positive cases and 5,680 deaths as the country claims it is beginning to control the spread of the virus.
When in The Netherlands.
