British Influencer’s Skipping Rope Workout Will Destroy Anyone Brave Enough To Try
British Influencer’s Skipping Rope Workout Will Destroy Anyone Brave Enough To Try

Us gym junkies often don’t do enough cardio, preferring the weights room instead. But there are numerous benefits to cardio workouts, such as helping you to shed body fat – although we’ve also seen how putting on muscle can be just as, if not a more, effective route to fat loss – as well as increasing your lung capacity and improving your overall fitness level. If you’re not the runner type, and you’d rather be seen dead than perched on a bicycle in some fancy lycra, one of the easiest and most effective forms of cardio workout is jumping rope.An exercise that is often associated more with school-grade children than it is fully-grown adults, jumping rope is one that often goes overlooked. The times could be changing, however, as we’ve recently seen a few famous faces, including Joe Jonas and even Salt Bae, try their hand at the perfectly timed jumping activity. If you ever thought jumping rope was a little boring, however, just take a look at British jump rope sensation Lauren Jumps, real name Lauren Flynn.Admitting on her Instagram profile that “Lockdown made me jump rope,” she may be relatively new to the jump rope game. But either she has a general knack for it, or she dedicates serious hours to practice, because her moves are insane, and really emphasise the perfectly timed nature of the movement.Check out some of Lauren’s impressive jump rope skills in the video below

That’s because she takes the conventional jump rope method – which, if you struggle to master, learn the ways from the master, Buddy Lee – and adds in some seriously impressive dance moves. Most of the time these dance moves revolve around ‘shuffling’, a dance move style developed in the 1980s, and is claimed to have been invented in Melbourne.Even without a skipping rope, shuffling isn’t easy, but for those wanting to try combining the two, Lauren provides some slowed-down tutorials on her Instagram page. Jumping rope alone can help you burn a shed load of calories, even from just a 10-minute workout. Increasing the intensity by adding in shuffling dance moves will only intensify the calorie burn.So if you’re looking for a quick way to shed some Covid kilos, whilst having some fun and learning a new dance routine in the process, follow in Lauren’s perfectly timed, incredibly quick footsteps…if you dare.

Chopard & Bamford Watch Department Have Created The Gentleman Driver’s Ideal Watch
Chopard & Bamford Watch Department Have Created The Gentleman Driver’s Ideal Watch

Why do people love vintage cars so much? Well, it’s because modern cars often lack those little flourishes of style; of personality that older cars do. For better or for worse, they’re not as idiosyncratic. It’s also why people love mechanical watches: sure, a quartz or smart watch might tell more accurate time, but they lack the personality of a classic, traditional watch.

Chopard understands this thoroughly, which is perhaps why they’ve supported the Mille Miglia Storico, the world’s most prestigious classic car endurance race, since 1988. Every year since, they’ve also produced a new Mille Miglia timepiece: a collection of vintage-styled chronographs that bring together the glamorous aesthetics of vintage cars and motorsports with the latest advances in mechanical horology.

It’s truly been a winning collaboration. But in 2021, Chopard has expanded the collaboration even further, bringing another player into the fold and taking the Chopard Mille Miglia watch’s story to exciting new places. Chopard has teamed up with Bamford Watch Department – perhaps the world’s most famous and esteemed high-end watch customisation firm – on a limited edition Mille Miglia watch that takes the classic chronograph and adds some subtle stylish flourishes that mark it out to be a very special thing indeed… Just like a good vintage car.

When it comes to customising watches, less is usually more, and that’s the approach Bamford has taken with this Mille Miglia. Superficially, it’s quite similar to last year’s Mille Miglia Race Edition – but there’s some key changes that watch fans will surely appreciate.

The Chopard Mille Miglia Bamford Edition in its natural habitat – on the wrist of someone behind the wheel of a classic car. Image: Chopard

Firstly, Bamford have simplified the dial, removing the standard red Mille Miglia logo and blacking out the seconds/minutes track that runs interior of the internal tachymetre chapter ring. So far, so subtle.

What’s perhaps more noticeable is how the watch’s sleek grey dial is punctuated by pops of orange from the seconds hand, subdials, chapter ring and inside of the Cordura-effect nylon strap – a rather inspired touch. These days, we’re used to seeing sports cars in orange, but back in the day of the original Mille Miglia, they would have been exceedingly uncommon. The strap choice, too, is a pleasing anachronism. This use of a highly modern colour palette and strap on a rather old-fashioned (we mean that in a good way) sort of chronograph is a masterstroke, and really makes the Mille Miglia Bamford Edition stand out amongst its peers.

It’s not all show and no go, either. A hardy bead-blasted 42mm DLC stainless steel case houses a COSC-certified, 37 jewel, 42-hour power reserve manufacture movement, visible behind a sapphire crystal caseback and featuring 50m of water resistance. The hour and minute hands as well as the hour markers are filled with sporty green Super-LumiNova, making it easy to read even during a nighttime spin. In short, it’s the perfect gentleman driver’s watch.

A limited edition of only 33, the Chopard Mille Miglia Bamford Edition retails for CHF 7,970 (~AU$11,700) and is available from Chopard’s online boutique here.

Super Luxurious New Type Of Beef Now Being Served In Aussie Restaurants
Super Luxurious New Type Of Beef Now Being Served In Aussie Restaurants

A premium new kind of beef is waggling towards Australia’s high end restaurants. And it’s not Wagyu. It is, however, being brought by the same guy that brought Wagyu cattle to Australia – David Blackmore. Mr Blackmore calls the new breed of cattle his retirement plan and he hopes its “sexy name” will keep landing them on the plates of select restaurants across the country.Their name? Rubia Gallega. A breed of cattle from Galicia – a Spanish region known for its stews and octopuses. Rubia Gallega are a heritage breed with various special attributes. As Mr Blackmore told the ABC recently: “They call it cinnamon colour through to orange, they are solid coloured, they are a horned breed and they’ve certainly got more muscling than the traditional British breed cattle we have in Australia.”The Butchers Club – a Scottish club which brought it in for a limited time – put it like this: “What exactly is this special beef we’re bringing in exclusively and for a limited time? To put it simply: It’s meat from a fat old cow and it’s said to be the best beef in the world.”According to The Butchers Club, “The hottest topic in top-notch steak circles right now is beef from old Spanish cows. More specifically a breed of bulls and cows called ‘Galician Blond’ (or Rubia Gallega) that are over eight years old and from Galicia in northwestern Spain.”“Food writers, celebrities and beef-lovers are all falling off of the leather-clad seats of the finest restaurants in London and New York, as they devour what is being crowned the best tasting steak in the world.”

Now it’s Australia’s turn, thanks to an experience meat pioneer Mr Blackmore had 15 years ago in Europe.Mr Blackmore first tasted the meat in France 15 years ago, he told the ABC, inspiring him to bring Rubia Gallega to Australia. In terms of what consumer can expect, Rubia Gallega was historically a working animal, which means they have developed marbling (fat distribution through the meat) which is “not as good as Wagyu but better than anything I’ve seen off grass,” Mr Blackmore told the ABC.Mr Blackmore got the embryos he needed and now there’s a whole herd of Rubia Gallega in Australia – the nation’s first ever.

The ABC reports; “It is early days, but cattle are now being served as a test for some of Australia’s best restaurants.”Before lockdown half a Rubia Gallega carcus was sent to Rockpool Melbourne, and the other half to Rockpool Sydney (they’re huge).Mr Blackmore describes the experience of eating Rubia Gallega thusly: “It’s very tender. It’s got a very fine texture because of the marbling and being grass fed, it’s a completely different, distinct flavour, an earthy, nutty flavour,” (ABC).Users on Twitter can be seen arguing over whether it’s really the best in the world (some believe Wagyu is better). But what’s not up for debate is that it’s new and sexy and (likely) going to be well marketed. Coming soon to an (exclusive) restaurant near you.

Who Will Be The Next James Bond? The Field Just Narrowed Even Further
Who Will Be The Next James Bond? The Field Just Narrowed Even Further

Idris Elba has announced he definitely, positively won’t be the next actor to take over the reigns as British secret agent James Bond. Damn! So who will be the next James Bond?

According to The Rolling StoneElba made the announcement at the opening gala of the London Film Festival on Wednesday 6th October 2021. But, while it may be a blow to fans of the Luther star, the question still remains, who will be next to play Bond?

The Internet loves a rumour mill, and it seems every man and his dog has an opinion as to who is next going to portray James Bond following Daniel Craig’s departure. The British actor revealed No Time To Die, the latest instalment in the James Bond franchise that *finally* saw its release, having been disrupted multiple times by the global pandemic, would be his last.

Ever since that announcement – in fact, even before No Time To Die was released, many predicted it would be the last time we’d see Daniel Craig take on the role – the rumour mill has been in overdrive, with a plethora of names being thrown into the ring, and bookmakers taking bets, in relation to who will now play the British secret agent.

Of course, it can bring up the question, why does it matter? Do we really not have anything better to be doing with our lives than discussing who will be the next actor to don a suit, take delivery of an Aston Martin and holster a Waltham PPK?

While it may be perfectly acceptable for all of us to have our favourite Bond, and we’re sure we can all agree Craig has done the character a fabulous service, despite receiving some negativity upon his casting for being a ‘Blond Bond,’ whoever next straps an Omega to his wrist will no doubt do the character justice (so long as they take Craig’s advice and “don’t fuck it up”).

Now that Idris has removed himself from the speculative lineup, other names that have been regularly mentioned include Tom Hardy, Damien Lewis, Richard Madden, Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page and James Norton.

Page is the current bookie’s favourite, with odds of around 6/4, depending on your bookmaker of choice. The British actor rose to prominence in the hit Netflix period drama, Bridgerton, which has seen his popularity soar both in the UK and the United States of America. Charming, handsome and well-spoken: the perfect James Bond?

Tom Hardy is most people’s second-favourite to take over the role with odds of around 9/4, and we don’t think he needs much introduction. The British actor has appeared in several blockbuster movies and hit TV shows, including Inception, and The Peaky Blinders, as well as taking on the double role of the infamous London gangster siblings, the Kray Twins, in Legend.

James Norton might be a slightly lesser known name to some people, but with odds of around 4/1, he’s certainly in with a chance of becoming the next James Bond. Tall, dark and handsome, and with a Cambridge education under his belt make him perfect fodder for MI6.

Lashana Lynch could become the very first female James Bond, and considering she already appears as a 00 agent in No Time To Die (apologies if that’s a spoiler for some), she already has her foot in the door. It could be unlikely, however, as a 2020 Independent article cites both Daniel Craig as saying “Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?”, inferring that women can simply be better represented in the James Bond universe.

Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the franchise, has also hinted that Bond will always be played by a male actor: “James Bond can be of any colour, but he is male.”

While there may be some debate as to whom should play the next Bond, we’re sure we can all agree we hope it won’t be James Corden, although considering Hollywood insists on giving him starring roles in the most unsuspecting movies, we can’t count it out.

We image it will be some time before the new James Bond star is announced, as the crew involved with the productions will be riding the wave of No Time To Die

It’s also worth noting Idris Elba did not rule out playing 007 in the future. He just said he wouldn’t be next up playing James Bond.

World’s Most ‘Instagram-Famous’ Car Not What You Might Expect
World’s Most ‘Instagram-Famous’ Car Not What You Might Expect

Whether it’s people sharing photos of their rides, brands advertising their latest models or ‘inspo’ accounts cataloguing the finest vintage creations, cars are all over social media. Especially Instagram.

But if you had to guess what the most Instagram-famous car is – the one vehicle that’s more popular than any other – you might struggle to come up with a certain answer. Is it an exotic supercar, like the Lamborghini Huracán or Bugatti Chiron? Is it a classic American muscle or pony car, like the Ford Mustang? Perhaps it’s something Japanese, like a Honda Civic Type R – we all know how obsessed JDM freaks get about sharing photos of their project cars…

Nope, it’s none of those. It’s not even a sports car. It’s the Audi A8.

Earlier this year, Confused.com launched a study which analysed Instagram hashtags for 200 of the world’s most popular car models and compared this to global sales figures, to reveal the number of photos shared on social media for every car sold – coming up with a final ‘Instagram score’ for each car. Plenty of cars have millions of photos on Instagram, but the real measure of fame or desirability is comparing that to total sales, which is why their methodology makes a lot of sense. (#toyotacorolla has over 800,000 posts but Toyota’s sold over 50 million of the things, for example.)

The study revealed that the Audi Q8, Land Rover Defender and Range Rover Sport have the highest Instagram score and therefore can be called the most Instagram-famous vehicles, each vehicle boasting over 400 photos on the app for every car sold, the Q8 topping the list at 620. Those are some pretty impressive numbers. Who knew more people want an Audi than a Ferrari?

Three SUVs as the top three cars is a bit of a revelation: it’s perhaps not that surprising that the Defender clinches the #2 spot (it’s a popular and iconic car), but the A8 at #1 is truly surprising. Indeed, 10 of the top 20 most ‘Instagram famous’ cars from the study are SUVs as opposed to sports or passenger cars: other popular SUVs include the Toyota Land Cruiser at #5, BMW X5 at #17 and Audi Q7 at #12. Maybe it’s not that surprising, considering how popular SUVs are among the car buying public.

RELATED: Toyota Land Cruiser ‘Blood Pact’ Shows How Crazy Australia’s Car Market Has Become

Audi had the most vehicles in the top 20 – the A7, Q3, Q7 and Q8 all making the cut and the brand itself ranking as the 2nd most popular. BMW, however, takes the gold for the most popular brand on Instagram, with over 60,000,000 hashtags and 2,028,000 global sales – that’s the equivalent of 2,963 photos per car sold. Mercedes-Benz, Subaru and Lexus round off the top 5 despite no individual models from those marques cracking the top 20 in Confused.com’s rankings.

What’s the big takeaway from all this? Firstly, that people on Instagram are perhaps more realistic about the sorts of cars they admire or covet than you might expect. And secondly, if you want your post to be shared by heaps of people, put an Audi Q8 in it. It’s like automotive catnip.

Read the entire Confused.com report and a more detailed explanation of their methodology here.

No, Dressing Up Won’t Increase Your Chances Of A First Class Upgrade
No, Dressing Up Won’t Increase Your Chances Of A First Class Upgrade

One of the most commonly spouted myths about checking in for your flight is that if you dress up fancy enough then you could score a business or first class upgrade.

Though we’re not here to argue with the logic that if there is one spare seat available, looking good is likely to increase your chances over your competion, we are here to argue the premise is passé.

Enter: frequent flyer Immanuel Debeer (@flighthacks). Immanuel yesterday took to Instagram to call bullshit on the idea you need to dress up to get an upgrade.

Immanuel reposted an Instagram story by @notatravelbloggr, which had tagged Immanuel, and the pair got all ‘laughing eye emoji’ at an article entitled: “What To Wear To Increase Your Chances Of A First Class Upgrade.”

Immanuel added his own text overlay, writing, “Oh great here we go again! ‘Wearing nice clothes gets you an upgrade.’ What a bunch of garbage.”

Image: @flighthacks

When spare business and first class seats become available, these days, flyers are usually offered the chance to upgrade when checking in online (usually at a moderate price) rather than for free at the check in desk. So your best way of getting an upgrade is to build up your points and status.

TripSavvy writes: “Each airline has its own hierarchy when it comes to upgrades, but most follow the same general outline. Naturally, paying customers come first—if you want to snag a discounted premium cabin seat, you can ask the agent at the check-in desk if there are any upgrades available.”

“Sometimes you’ll get lucky, and if the cabin has open seats, you might be offered an upgrade for a few hundred bucks. But no, even if you’re dressed to the nines, you won’t get a free upgrade at the desk. If you want to angle for a free upgrade, there’s only one cardinal rule: acquire elite loyalty status with airlines by flying often.”

“Airlines will typically only offer free upgrades to passengers who are on the official upgrade list, and—you guessed it—you need to have status to be added to that list. So when it comes time to board your plane, the gate agent starts at the top and runs down the list until there are no more seats available.”

On previous occassions, Immanuel has explained why he thinks there is no need any more to dress up for first class anyway.

Immanuel, who is the founder of Flight Hacks, reckons that for those who grace the pointy end of the plane regularly, it would be ridiculous to judge someone on their pants.

Firing back at a rude Instagram commenter in August who said, “He should at least dress the part. I hate slobs on planes,” Debeer recently wrote: “Ha! Good thing we don’t have people like you up front.”

Image: @flighthacks, earlier this year

“How to tell if someone never flies business/first: they will tell you what to wear or how to dress,” Immanuel said.

Immanuel is not the only one to slam Pointy End Posturing lately. Founder of Holiday Swap (and frequent first class flyer) James Asquith recently wrote “there’s really no need to flex (especially when 80%+ of it is likely fake on social media).”

There you have it. Spend money on points not pants, if you really want an upgrade.

Roger Federer’s ‘Ballsy’ Nike Gamble Pays Off Big Time
Roger Federer’s ‘Ballsy’ Nike Gamble Pays Off Big Time

Roger Federer is one of, if not the, greatest tennis player of all time. He might have had a fairly average 2021 and many reckon he’s in the death throes of his playing career, but his achievements – as well as his unsurpassed popularity – remains as impressive as ever.

Naturally, any player at the very top of one of the world’s most popular sports is likely worth a bit of dosh. Not only has Federer won a sizeable amount of prize money over the years, but he’s also been able to court (pun intended) some pretty high-profile endorsement deals: Mercedes-BenzMoët & Chandon, Rolex

But it’s what Federer has done with his apparel deals in recent years that’s the subject of this article. For years, Federer was tied to Nike, the world’s biggest sportswear brand and arguably the #1 brand any athlete wants to have a deal with – so it was pretty shocking when the Swiss champ walked away from Nike in 2018 and instead shacked up with Japanese fast fashion brand Uniqlo, and then penned a deal with Swiss sneaker brand On.

It seemed like an enormous gamble – but as sports investing expert Joe Pompliano has recently explained on Twitter, it might have been one of the most savvy money moves any athlete has ever made:

“Federer is one of only six athletes to cross $1 billion in career earnings while still active. The part you didn’t know? He left behind a $10 million annual sponsorship deal with Nike and turned it into a $600 million-plus payday.”

Roger Federer wearing a Uniqlo polo and bandanna during the Men’s Singles Quarter Final against Hubert Hurkacz at Wimbledon this year. Other athletes in Uniqlo’s roster include fellow tennis player Kei Nishikori and Australian golfer Adam Scott. Image: Getty

Pompliano sets the scene: “Federer had been with Nike for more than 20+ years, becoming one of the most decorated athletes in sports history with 20 Grand Slam titles. But when it came time to renew his $10 million annual sponsorship deal with Nike, things got interesting.”

“Nike had a loaded roster of tennis players [including] Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova [and] Nick Kyrgios… there is an unwritten rule in the world of sponsorships [that] you don’t spend over 10% of overall revenue on athlete sponsorship deals…”

“Nike ultimately decided to protect their margins, letting the 36-year-old legend walk. The result: Federer shocked the world, signing a massive 10-year, $300M deal with Uniqlo – or 3x more than the $10M Nike was paying him annually.”

But here’s the really clever part of Federer’s deal with Uniqlo, according to Pompliano: “the agreement didn’t have a retirement clause, meaning Federer would earn $30 million at age 46 even if he retired 5 years prior. Even better? The deal only covered apparel, not shoes,” Pompliano reveals.

“Federer continued to wear Nikes without being paid for it. But after discovering footwear brand On Running while training, Federer made an even bigger bet. He signed an equity deal and became a global ambassador for the Swiss brand.”

RELATED: Roger Federer’s New Sneaker Deal Reveals Why Top Athletes Are Leaving Big Brands

“Including his initial investment & marketing fees, Roger Federer reportedly owns about 3% of the brand. The craziest part? Just two years later, On Running has gone public & the business is valued at $10 billion. That means Federer’s stake is now worth about $300 million.”

Federer at On’s headquarters in Zürich. Federer is very proud of his Swiss heritage, and has made a point of working with Swiss brands over the years – from famous watchmaker Rolex to chocolatier Lindt and even the Swiss Tourism Federation. Image: On

Federer’s deal with Uniqlo was clever, but it’s his move with On that’s really canny. Since its founding in 2010, On has grown to capture 40% of the Swiss performance sneaker market, 10% of the German market and even 6.6% of the US market. It’s clearly a successful brand – and now, it’s enjoying a fruitful symbiosis with investor/signed athlete Federer, the champ’s star power further elevating the business (and lining Federer’s pocket in the process).

RELATED: Olympic Athletes Are Now Wearing Luxury Brands When They Compete

Pompliano concludes thusly: “Roger Federer has built one of the most impressive brands in sports history. He only played in one event last year but still brought home $90 million, making him the 7th highest-paid athlete globally. Yet only $300k of the $90M came from tennis events. Now that’s wild.”

By backing himself with the Uniqlo deal and getting hands-on with the On deal, Federer has absolutely minted himself – even as question marks surround his future on the court. Few athletes would have the cojones, foresight or ability to pull off such a win… But there’s a reason he’s the GOAT.

Reignite Chest Day With This Brutal Dumbbell Superset Workout
Reignite Chest Day With This Brutal Dumbbell Superset Workout

If you’re someone who consistently trains their upper body, but has lately found results have somewhat plateaued, then it might be time to start changing up your routines and incorporating new movements and exercises. As Bodybuilding.com says, “Eventually everyone will run into a point in their training when they have a stop in their progress whether it is muscle gain, strength increases or just overall performance.”

Basically, a plateau happens when our body no longer feels stressed by whatever it is we’re doing to it. And, while it doesn’t necessarily have to relate to the amount of weight you lift or the movements you perform – it could be something to do with nutrition, for example – switching out your usual routine for new exercises is a great course of action.

But, you might be stuck when it comes to ideas. Worry no more, as former world ranked pro duathlete Paul Sklar – who has previously shown us the importance of pull-ups – is on hand to provide a simple dumbbell superset chest workout that will see those gains return for good. All you need is a pair of dumbbells and a flat bench to perform the three exercises on.

Claiming his superset will help you to “Ignite your chest”, Paul also says you don’t even need “a tremendous amount of weight since all are performed back to back,” i.e. a superset, where you don’t take a rest period in between each exercise. You only get to rest once you’ve completed all three.

Check out Paul Sklar’s dumbbell chest workout superset in the video below

Paul’s superset chest dumbbell workout comprises the following exercises:

  1. Dumbbell Pectoral Fly – The DB pectoral fly is an exercise that targets the entire chest area, but specifically helps to strengthen and tone the portion of the chest closest to your sternum. This helps to give off more well-defined pecs, helping them to look more pronounced in the process.
How to perform: Start by lying down on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand. Start off with a light weight, as this movement is actually harder than it looks.

Hold both arms up in the air, with the dumbbells practically touching. Slowly lower your arms out to the sides, incorporating a slight bend in the elbow as you do so. You want to aim to get your hands in line with your chest, but don’t go beyond this point.

Engage your chest muscles to bring your arms back up to the starting position. A common mistake is for people to use their arm muscles instead, which makes the movement virtually pointless for building your chest. If the weight feels heavy, you can also use your feet to plant into the floor to help give you some extra stability.

  2. Close Grip Chest Press with Pectoral Fly – Adding some variation into the pectoral fly movement previously mentioned, instead of simply starting with your arms up in the air, you can use a close grip chest press.
How to perform: Start by holding the dumbbells in a neutral grip (palms forward inward) and with both dumbbells up in the air, practically touching each other. Slowly lower them down towards your chest, still being held close to each other. Push back up, engaging your chest as you do so, until your arms are back at their starting positions, then perform a pectoral fly in the same as the first exercise.
  3. 1-1-2 Dumbbell Chest Press – Why just perform a regular dumbbell chest press when you increase the difficultly and the gains by adding in a couple more steps? This exercise sees you perform a dumbbell chest press as you normally would, but with the addition of pressing each arm individually as well. Holding one arm in the air whilst the other performs a press helps to put extra tension on the non-moving arm, targeting your shoulders and even your core in the process.
How to perform: Lying down on a bench, hold both dumbbells with an overhand grip in the air, slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Lower both down until they reach your chest and press back up, using your chest muscles, as opposed to your arms to do so. Now, leave one arm in the air and bring the other down until it meets your chest. Press this arm back and repeat with the other arm. Once you have completed the chest press and both arms individually, this counts as one rep.

Performing all three chest exercises back to back is sure to have your chest feeling like it’s on fire. Aim to complete four rounds of the superset, with 8 – 10 repetitions per exercise.

T-shirt popping pecs await.

Big Hint For Australians Hoping To Travel Overseas ASAP
Big Hint For Australians Hoping To Travel Overseas ASAP

Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced a plan to fast track the swinging open of Australia’s doors. The key to making this happen is the fast tracking of the rollout of home quarantine. If all goes well, according to the Prime Minister’s proposal Australia’s international borders could re-open for vaccinated NSW travellers as soon as November the 1st.Getting rid of the current 14 days hotel quarantine requirement for vaccinated travellers expected to be a game changing factor in getting travel back to pre-pandemic levels, and trials are currently happening in several Australian states. Now for the juicy bit: though they did not cite an exact source, news.com.au reported the following today: “News.com.au understands the date being looked at for the reopening of international borders under a home quarantine model is November 1.

They also highlighted some crucial quotes made by Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Sunday.“The NSW Premier and I have been discussing how we can accelerate our plan to open international travel when home quarantine is made available,’’ Mr Morrison said.“I know the NSW Government is looking at ways to fast track home quarantine in November and if that happens we will be able to move to facilitate the opening up of the international border into NSW sooner.”“Now, that would mean home quarantine for vaccinated Australians wishing to return home via Sydney and giving the option for international travel for vaccinated Australians to leave and return.”Interesting indeed.
