Two powerhouses of their respective fields have come together to design a new aircraft cabin with proper hypercar credentials.
The collaborative effort sees Airbus Corporate Jets and Italian hypercar maker Pagani teaming up for a new interior fit out called Infinito and built specifically for the the ACJ319 private jet. One of the most striking features of the Infinito cabin is the sky ceiling, an imaging system which captures live footage of the sky above before relaying back into the cabin’s roof.
This gives the effect of an airless flight space which is akin to that of open-top flying. It could potentially scare the crap out of passengers but that’s an issue for another day. For now, Horacio Pagani, founder & Chief Designer of Pagani Automobili SpA thinks that both art and science can absolutely go hand-in-hand.
“This is the Pagani philosophy,” he says.
“The combination of state-of-the-art composite materials never used before in an aircraft, such as CarboTitanium, with the typical design language of Pagani Automobili, has always represented our signature. Applying our Reinassance touch into the wider spaces of Airbus corporate jet cabins is the beginning of an exciting new venture for us.”
Airbus Corporate Jets Managing Director Benoit Defforge also praised the partnership for bringing with it a dash of class.
“In bringing together the best of the supercar and business jet worlds, we enable an elegant and seamless link for customers of both, while bringing a fresh approach to cabin design and satisfying very demanding standards,” said the Airbus Corporate Jets Managing Director Benoit Defforge.
The design process of the cabin was a pretty straight-forward affair with Pagani’s design team penning the initial details including its look and feel. Airbus’ designers would then chime in to ensure the plans complied with modern aircraft design standards. Other notable features of Infinto includes shell-shaped valances and walls between cabin zones which can switch from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button.
The decor is naturally Pagani in aesthetic with natural soft-leather carpets and a wooden floor contrasting with man-made carbon fibre in furniture and wall-frames. There’s even sculpted metal features which mirror those found in Pagani’s current crop of hypercars.
Watch the video below to find out how it was done.

We’ve covered the world’s strongest coffee and the world’s hottest chili – now meet the world’s strongest beer. Coming at you from Scotland’s Brewmeister, Snake Venom boasts a warning label and a whopping 67.5% ABV.
Adventurous palates and iron stomachs only need apply. Though Snake Venom beer contains no actual snake venom, it might as well be packed with the stuff considering its potential for damage. Patrons are cautioned not to guzzle more than 35ml in a single sitting.
Brewmeister had previously staked a claim on the world’s strongest beer with an earlier release, the aptly named Armageddon, which clocked in at 65% ABV. For comparison’s sake, most beers are less than 10% ABV and the average whiskey falls between 40% and 50% ABV.
Armageddon is a beverage few would dare f*ck with, yet Brewmeister’s customers complained that it wasn’t strong enough, and that too much had been done to mask its natural taste and oily texture. The Scottish brewery responded with the bolder, stronger, more-potentially-deadly Snake Venom.
Snake Venom is a hoppy, malty, carbonated beast of a brewskie that tastes like a beer but should be sipped like a spirit. Its ultra high ABV is the result of a production process that includes using everything from smoked peat malt to two types of yeast, and freezing the brew multiple times during fermentation.
Snake Venom is available to purchase online, but be prepared to plunk down a hefty chunk of cash for the privilege of decimating your liver. A single bottle goes for US$80+.

Sweden has made its entire country available on the holiday rentals site.
The move is a creative ploy to promote “Allemansrätt,” the nation’s constitutionally protected “freedom to roam” any land in the Swedish countryside (with the exception of private gardens, land near a dwelling house, or land under cultivation). Visitors are welcome to walk, cycle, ride, ski, and camp for free anywhere they want, any time they want, as long it’s on public land.
“Allemansrätten – or the freedom to roam – is a principle protected by Swedish law that gives all people the right to be free in Swedish nature,” reads the listing. “In other words, Swedish nature isn’t just a piece of land with trees and lakes and cliffs – it’s a home with all the necessities and amenities that any great home should have. It’s a place where you can eat berries from the ground, sleep under the stars, swim in the lakes and roam freely. To make this home available for everyone, Sweden has listed the entire country on Airbnb.”
The page currently contains nine individual listings like “Cozy Glade in Beech Forest”, “Classic Lookout Point by Spectacular Mountains”, and “Rocky Beach in Modern Scandinavian Style.” Each one features a tongue-in-cheek profile in classic Airbnb style, a selection of photos with clever captions, and even reviews from happy travellers.
“Every lake is your infinity pool, every mountaintop your granite terrace, every meadow becomes a garden and every forest a pantry filled with mushrooms and berries,” boasts a grandiose statement from Airbnb. “Feel free to take a morning jog or bike ride across open fields or trek through challenging mountain terrain. Should you want an upgrade, you do not need to ask anyone, just find the best location that suits you and your mood.”
Sweden’s Airbnb listings are available 365 days a year, accommodate everyone, have unlimited beds, allow check-in “whenever”, and best of all, they’re probably the only listings on the entire site that won’t charge you a cent for your stay. Plan your visit here.

Steamy banyas, rainbow onion domes, vast frozen landscapes, quaint gingerbread cottages, epic cross-continental train journeys, prodigious artistic riches, and vodka-fuelled exploits – Russia is a place of ample old-world charms for curious travellers to uncover.
But with those old-world charms comes an array of old-world customs, waiting to trip up a less-than-savvy tourist. Russian culture boasts a unique collection of traditions, superstitions, and social taboos that can be confusing for visitors to navigate.
Those willing to solve Russia’s riddles will discover a multi-faceted country and opportunities for adventure so endless they’ll make your head spin. Here’s the Russia etiquette you should know before you go.
Don’t Smile At Strangers
You think it’s friendly, they think it’s freaky. Russians are notoriously stoic people, and that stoicism extends to strangers on the streets. Passersby do not smile at each other or make small-talk without good reason. Doing so might make you seem foolish, drunk, suspicious, or flirty – at the very least, it will stamp “TOURIST” across your dumb grinning face in invisible ink. If you do flash your pearlies, don’t be offended if it isn’t returned. It’s not rudeness, it’s just the Russian way.
Bring Gifts For Hosts
Manners matter. It’s a sign of good taste and breeding to bring a gift for the host if you’re invited to someone’s home, though it doesn’t have to be extravagant for the gesture to count. The standard options – chocolate, wine, vodka, flowers, a small souvenir from your country – will suffice. Overachievers can also bring a treat for the host’s children if they want to go the extra mile. The more valuable the connection, the higher the value of the gift should be.
Dress To Impress
You need only spend a single day in Russia to notice that the natives like to dress up. Russian women don’t think twice about tip-toeing around the supermarket in stilettos, and Russian men happily sport casual business attire even when out of the office. You’ll notice looks of disapproval if you’re not suitably clothed, and many restaurants and nightclubs practice “face control” – which means they won’t let you in if they don’t like your look. Don’t venture out in sweatpants unless you’re headed for the gym.
Remove Your Shoes
Get to know and love the tapochki. Tapochki are Russian house slippers that should be worn whenever inside someone’s home. Outdoor shoes, bare feet, and sometimes socks are considered uncouth. You may bring your own tapochki if you wish. Otherwise, you will likely be presented with a pair by your host at the door.
Be A Conscientious Tourist
No one wants to be that tourist. The touristy tourist. The one wearing a Hawaiian shirt with a camera around his neck, consulting a map and talking too loudly. In Russian, being a bad tourist means something a little different. Think twice before photographing official-looking buildings and military structures. Travellers have been arrested for such seemingly-innocent behaviour. Carry photocopies of your official travel documents and present them whenever asked to by authorities.
Don’t Trash Talk The Country
Russia takes itself seriously. Some would say too seriously. That hilarious cartoon you saw mocking Putin? This is not the time to mention it. Do not criticise or make fun of Russia while visiting. You risk causing deep offense (and earning a punch in the face, as a Polish journalist learned the hard way). Stick to positive subjects even if you’re with Russians who are complaining. They live there and they’ve earned the right to whine. You do not and have not.
Learn How To Shake Hands
Russians observe a few points of hand shaking etiquette. First, when visiting someone’s home, wait until you’re inside the door to greet them. Russians believe that shaking hands or communicating across the threshold is bad luck. It’s also considered rude to shake hands while wearing gloves, so remove them before extending your hand.
It’s customary for Russian men to greet by shaking hands. The rules get more complex when it comes to shaking hands across genders. A man generally won’t shake hands with a woman unless she offers her hand first. Shake hands both upon arrival and when departing.
Don’t Whistle While Indoors
Your whistled rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” might kill during your morning showers at home, but a Russian audience won’t be so thrilled. An old Russian superstition holds that whistling indoors results in bad luck and financial ruin. Save your warbling for another time lest you want everyone in the vicinity shooting you dirty looks.
Consult The Chivalry Playbook
Old notions of chivalry may be dead back home, but they’re alive and well in Russia. Gender relations take a decidedly vintage approach. As a man, you will be expected to surrender your seat on public transportation to women, elderly people, and parents with children. Do not allow women to carry heavy items without offering to help. Hold the door. Offer your coat. Always pick up the tab. Don’t go on a date without bringing flowers (odd numbers only – even numbers are reserved for funerals). Whip out every white knight trick in your arsenal and maybe, just maybe, you’ll make it to a second date.

“Budget travel.” The words strike a certain amount of fear into a wanderer’s heart. They cull up images of the indignities of economy class, bone-rattling bus rides, and bed bug-infested hostels. These aren’t the trips you carefully filter and share with envious Instagram followers.
But low-cost doesn’t have to mean bad. Plenty of nomads see the world without breaking the bank, whether by backpacking or travel hacking or simply choosing inexpensive destinations. This year’s World Economic Forum (WEF) Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report recently named the cheapest countries to visit in 2017.
The report, which is published every two years, measures the relative health of 136 leading countries’ tourism sectors using a variety of sub-indexes, including safety and security, natural resources, cultural resources, health and hygiene, soundness of infrastructure, and price competitiveness.
“The World Economic Forum has, for the past 11 years, engaged key industry and thought leaders through its Aviation & Travel Industry Partner Community to carry out an in-depth analysis of the Travel and Tourism (T&T) competitiveness of economies around the world,” reads the report. “The resulting Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report provides a platform for multistakeholder dialogue with the objective of achieving a strong and sustainable T&T industry capable of contributing effectively to international economic development.”
The highest ranking countries in the price competitiveness category are the best destinations for tourists who want to travel on a budget without the trials and tribulations of “budget travel.” You’ll find the top 20 cheapest places to visit now in the gallery above, and can read the full report here.
