Woman’s ‘Gross’ In-Flight Act Sparks Massive Etiquette Debate
Woman’s ‘Gross’ In-Flight Act Sparks Massive Etiquette Debate

A photo of a passeger’s ‘rude’ in-flight act has left the internet divided.

The photo was posted on October the 21st, and has since gone viral.

The poster of the image captioned it: “Would this piss you off?”

The act? It was like something out of a fairy tale – a passenger, with long hair (possibly extentions), had draped their hair all over the back of their seat, so that it was in the space of the passenger behind them.

The photo sparked a surge of people talking about what they’d do in such a situation.

“Lol nah,” Twitter user @corteric7 wrote. “If I need the tray I’d just let her know I need to get under her hair for a sec. but why would I get mad? Flight over soon, on my merry way.”

Others were less New Testament, with some suggesting sneezing, or lowering the tray table.

“I would quietly lower the tray, let her hair fall in and then close it up again,” one claimed.

“Completely inconsiderate & unnecessary,” weighed in another. “Saying this as a fellow long-hair haver.”

Another wrote: “Would definitely be annoying, but for people with long hair I understand why they do it, not sure what a compromise would be TBH, as long as they understand I might need to move or manipulate it sometimes we could reach an understanding.”

Others posted examples of their own experiences with similar situations (though some claim the following one is staged), and rather extreme responses.

It remains unknown which airline the photo was allegedly taken on.

This is also not the first in-air etiquette debate to crop up this year. We’ve also covered whether it’s ok to do yoga in your seat, death stare a stranger’s kids, put your feet up on the bulkhead or shut someone else’s window shade. But this is the first time we’ve seen hair cause such a spicy debate.

There you have it – something to liven up your Wednesday. And if you’re still confused about the ins and outs of flight ettiquette after reading this, check out the advice of a professional etiquette coach, which should stand you in good stead (and not in the middle of the aisle, practicing yoga).

Oh, and – if you want to learn how to get “guaranteed” special treatment from flight attendants – watch the video below, in which flight attendant Kat Kamalani explains the behaviours cabin crew love, and hate.

How to get ‘guaranteed’ special treatment from flight attendants, according to Kat Kamalani.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Insane Body Transformation Evidence Hard Work Can Bring You Success
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Insane Body Transformation Evidence Hard Work Can Bring You Success

Some guys just have it all. While there’s certainly a case to be made to suggest nobody can be perfect, we’d like to see someone try and fault Portuguese footballing legend Cristiano Ronaldo in any way. Ok: maybe his taste in watches won’t be to everyone’s liking. But save from a few ostentatious timepieces, there isn’t really anything wrong with the man.

Not only does he have some of the best footballing feet to have ever graced a pitch, but Ronaldo is also living proof that you really can get yourself ripped if you commit to a rigorous training regime – no steroids required. These days, we naturally think of him sporting washboards abs and some killer legs, but he wasn’t always this way.

A recent post by Instagram account @bonkfootball shows just how much his body has transformed during his playing career, comparing his body way back in 2003 with his current state in 2021. A skinny teenager in 2003, the year in which he joined Manchester United at age 18 – along with questionable highlights in his hair and before he had the money to go and visit some of the best dentists – Ronaldo displayed barely any muscle.

Other footballers who have undergone similar transformations during their playing careers include Sergio Ramos, Mohamed Salah and certified unit, Adama Traoré.

However, clearly understanding that if he was going to live up to the hype surrounding him and become one of the greatest players to have ever played the beautiful game, Ronaldo had to improve his strength, agility and stamina. Through a series of intense workouts, he’s done just that.

We’ve previously looked at Ronaldo’s various workouts in detail, and he’s proven time and time again that you really should never skip leg day. In order to build up the size and strength of his legs, he uses various equipment such as exercise bikes, dumbbells for lunges, leg extensions using a dedicated machine and hill sprints – great for improving explosive power, too.

Those washboard abs don’t just form themselves, either, and Ronaldo is a particular fan of performing crunches – although of course, as we’ve mentioned before, it’s no good increasing the size of your abs if you don’t shed belly fat to help display them

Say what you will about his inscrutable on-pitch demeanour – Ronaldo is an incredibly talented man and someone who is dedicated to the cause. If nothing else, he should be seen as an inspirational figure when it comes to getting yourself jacked.

Check out some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s most brutal workouts in the video below

More often that not, it will be psychological barriers keeping you from making gains, but as we recently saw from one German bodybuilder, if you overcome that mental state you can get yourself huge.

This Has To Be The Strangest Porsche For Sale In Australia
This Has To Be The Strangest Porsche For Sale In Australia

We’ve come across a lot of weird and wacky online car classified listings here at DMARGE.From Holden-swapped ‘bogan’ G-Wagens to the world’s oldest Ferrari barn find and even a Bentley limo with hidden grenade launchers owned by the former Emir of Qatar, the Land Down Under is home to some truly strange and wonderful vehicles. This listing for a vintage Porsche 911 in Brisbane easily ranks among the strangest we’ve encountered – but for once, it’s not really because of the car.As vintage car expert and friend of DMARGE Car Rave puts it, “there is nothing particularly special about this Porsche 964 C2 Cabriolet, other than the fact the owner claims it to be the best in the country. Which makes the selection of classified photos all the more perplexing.”

“25 photos of the car seemingly dry humping a small hill in a residential park. No interior shots. No engine bay shots. No close ups. Just hill flex.”

We’ve seen some dodgy photos on car listings in our time (seriously, it’s often like the value of the car is inversely proportional to the quality of the photos when it comes to online classifieds) but this Stuttgart stunner truly takes the cake. What was the owner thinking?

Parklife! Image: Carsales
It’s a shame because the car itself seems to be in pretty mint condition. Let this be a cautionary tale, would-be car sellers: make sure you have decent photos on your listing, otherwise you’re just shooting yourself in the foot.RELATED: The Used Car Market Is A ‘Wild West’ Right Now. Here’s How To Avoid Getting SwindledProduced from 1989 to 1993, the 964 was the first major update the 911 received, and is widely considered one of the best generations of 911 ever made. This 1990 example, a rear-wheel drive convertible, features a 3.6L air-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six engine good which back in the day did 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds, a figure that remains impressive even today. With only 100,000kms on the clock and in completely original spec, it’s easily worth the $149,000 the seller’s demanding… But we reckon if they’d actually taken some better photos, they could have added a few extra thousand to the price. Check out this flex-tacular 911 on Carsales here.

Sydney Will Never Be A Global City If It Keeps Calling Itself A Global City
Sydney Will Never Be A Global City If It Keeps Calling Itself A Global City

Are you really an international city if you have to paint yourself as an international city?

That’s the question that’s been raging in Australia all week, from sharehouses in Sydney’s inner west to milk-crate Melbourne cafes.

Why? A comment made by NSW Premier Dominic Perrotett has got thumbs frolicking on Twitter.

His comment? Perrottet last week claimed Sydney was Australia’s only “global city” now that we are the only city from which you can fly to from overseas without having to quarantine (from the 1st of November, anyway).

The Daily Mail labelled this a “stunning broadside” at Queensland and Victorian premiers, and they weren’t as far off as you might think.

Per The Daily Mail: “Premier Dominic Perrottet has declared Sydney is Australia’s ‘truly only global city’ as NSW re-opens to the world while Victoria and Queensland remain shut.”

“Mr Perrottet pointed to the Harbour Bridge as he delivered the stunning dig on Friday while announcing changes to Covid-19 restrictions and hotel quarantine. ‘The alternative is to stay closed from the world, we’re not doing that. Sydney is Australia’s truly only global city. When people think of Australia, they think of this,’ he said as he pointed to the landmark.”

Mr Perrottet also said Sydney was laying the groundwork to make itself the gateway for international travellers to come to Australia as soon as safely possible.

“We are rejoining the world and and we want returning Australians to come back,” he said.

“I want those from other states who want to come back to come through Sydney. If you are a returning Australian and want to come here, stay in New South Wales and stay in Sydney. Have a great time here before you home and spend up big.”

“Help our small businesses and the fact that we will be the only city and state open to the world is going to be boom time for New South Wales.”

Some Sydneysiders thought Perrottet hit the nail on the head, saying “he’s not wrong.”

To a degree, they are right.

Many Melburnians, however (and residents in other cities in Australia), took to their phone screens, taking cracks at everything from Sydney’s nightlife, to its culture of banking, real estating, and personal training.

“Well Sydney is Australia’s only global city that shuts at 6pm,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another said if Sydneysiders really were of a global mindset, they wouldn’t be thinking so much about how they stack up compared to other domestic states.

“Perrottet is in the wrong state to make the ‘Sydney is the only global city’ argument. We don’t care. We are not Queensland or WA. People in NSW and Victoria are Australians first, state identity comes second. Maybe even third, we are quite international in our outlook.”

Another Twitter user, probably from Melbourne (due to their use of the word ‘flog’) wrote: “Sydney is the only global city in Australia, that’s why Melbourne hosts the grand prix and the Australian Open…Perrottet is such a flog.”

Another hammer was the following: “Why is it only ever people from Sydney who use the phrase ‘global city’?”, which came from a teacher, writer and broadcaster living in Melbourne.

The response to this, many Sydneysiders might add, is that we don’t use the phrase: it’s the sort of thing you only really hear university professors and politicians say.

On that note: it perhaps tells you something about how Sydney authorities want the city to be seen as in the future, and where their insecurtities lie.

It’s not exactly a KGB scandal. But still: if someone loudly says ‘I’m super global’ enough times you start to think maybe they’re not.

It’s also not the first time a NSW government figure has used this expression. Shayne Mallard MP, Liberal MP NSW Parliament – Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Aerotropolis – used it on March the 14th 2020 on Twitter, when announcing a landmark plan for 300m towers in Sydney.

Former premier Gladys Berejiklian also used the words “global city” when talking about the plan to revamp Sydney’s nightlife in 2019.

This kind of rhetoric, though, doesn’t seem to really resonate with anyone – even the Sydneysiders who you’d think it’s designed to be lapped up by.

One Twitter user, who claims to live in Sydney, wrote: “This guy seems to be on a mission to tar everyone is Sydney with his uber arrogance brush. I live in Sydney but have lived and worked in NYC, LA, Zurich, Barcelona and have visited over a 140 cities globally. Melbourne on a par with any city for food and culturally as good as any.”

Another Twitter user said: “Anyone who’s done any real travelling around Australia knows the incredible beauty and diversity of this place. Our states and capital cities all have amazing things to offer. To hear a leader engage in a lame gaslighting-pissing contest is so bloody juvenile.”

The upshot? Many Sydneysiders really do have a chip on their shoulder about Melbourne occassionally being called a more cultured city (or even, shock, horror, a more global city). Likewise, Melburnians never fail to be infuriated by Sydneysiders getting the best of the weather and lifestyle and yet still insisting their theatre and restaurants (or whatever ‘culture’ is) are better.

In other words: we’re all insecure we’re not international enough (just look at the Betoota Advocate’s poppy cutting of Aussies who do actually leave and live overseas). There’s just no need to broadcast (or segment) it…

26.4% Of Australian Crypto Investors Hold This Sustainable Coin, Study Finds
26.4% Of Australian Crypto Investors Hold This Sustainable Coin, Study Finds

When you think about the cryptocurrency galaxy, there are a few big names blazoned across the sky – among them Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.

Even recently there has been a big upstart in the form of the mysterious Shiba Inu – another meme coin which aims to take Dogecoin’s mantle as the greatest groupthink experiment in existence.

Speaking of lesser known block chain projects, allow us to introduce you to another: Cardano. Cardano (ADA) popped up in August to become the third-largest coin after Bitcoin and Ethereum, as investors looked for more climate-friendly crypto currencies in the wake of Elon Musk’s criticism of Bitcoin on SNL.

Watch Elon Musk and Mark Cuban discuss the potential applications of Dogecoin in the video below.

Cardano seems to have a greater use case than Shiba Inu, and had been ticking over for a while before people started jumping on the hype train. So, what the heck is it?

Cardano is a blockchain platform and it has its own internal cryptocurrency called ADA (named after Ada Lovelace, a 19th-century British countess known for her work on a theoretical computation engine, who also was the daughter of Lord Byron). Cardano was founded in 2015 by Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson. Cardano was officially launched in 2017.

In short: a blockchain with a flexible network and fast transaction speed, which mean it’s (compared to many other big coins like Bitcoin) highly scalable and sustainable. It’s also the crypto currency held by the greatest number of Australians, according to a report by Finder

The Australian Information Service provider (Finder) recently announced a number of interesting findings, which they gleaned by surveying 1,003 adults in Australia. Finder found Australia ranks 3rd in the list of countries studied for ownership rate of crypto.

Australia’s crypto ownership rate, according to Finder’s study, came out 17.8%. This is ahead of Indonesia (16.7%) and Hong Kong (15.8%) and significantly ahead of the global average of 11.4%.

Finder’s biggest four findings were as follows:

  1. Australia has the 3rd highest rate of cryptocurrency ownership in Finder’s survey at 17.8%
  2. Of those that own crypto, more than half (65.2%) own Bitcoin – the 5th highest percentage of all 22 countries
  3. 26.4% of Australian crypto owners hold Cardano, the highest percentage globally
  4. Men are 1.5 times more likely to own cryptocurrency than women

Finder also revealed: “Of the nearly 1 in 5 adults in Australia who own some form of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is the most popular coin for Australians at 65.2% of crypto owners.”

The second most popular coin in Australia was found to be Ethereum, at 42.1%,, while Cardano came in at in third place, with 26.4% of Australian crypto investors owning some.

Finder added: “Cardano is the third most popular choice with crypto adopters in Australia, with 26.4% of adults who own crypto holding the coin. This makes it the highest-ranked country in our list of 22 countries in terms of Cardano ownership among those that own crypto.”

“Cardano sees its peak in adoption in Australia,” Finder wrote, “where 26.3% of the online population who own crypto say they have Cardano, which is 1.4 times the global average adoption rate of 18.5%.”

Maybe the sustainable ETF hype (over in the traditional finance world) is rubbing off on us?

Keanu Reeves Buys ‘John Wick’ Stunt Team The Ultimate Thank You Present
Keanu Reeves Buys ‘John Wick’ Stunt Team The Ultimate Thank You Present

Keanu Reeves is widely acknowledged to be one of the nicest actors in Hollywood.

Despite his aloof and seemingly downcast disposition, the introverted 57-year-old action movie star has built up a reputation for being an exceedingly normal, nice dude. As Time Magazine puts it, “it’s not just Reeves’ on-screen roles that have endeared him to fans – it’s been his candid moments in real life, like securing a shuttle for his fellow passengers when a flight was cancelled or courteously giving up his seat on the subway.”

On top of that, he’s a prolific philanthropist, and has even established his own high-end custom motorcycle company, Arch Motorcycle. He’s just a cool dude – and apparently someone you really want as a colleague.

Apparently, Reeves has gone on a watch shopping spree, gifting brand-new Rolex Submariners to all the members of the John Wick: Chapter 4 stunt team, a crew affectionately known as the ‘John Wick 5’. Reeves was seen celebrating with his colleagues at a Paris restaurant following filming in Berlin, everyone clearly quite pleased with their new watches.

A post shared by WATCHMANIA (@watchmania)

Reeves even bought one for himself, and got all the watches engraved with a personal message of thanks. What a gent.

We’d just like to know how Keanu got a hold of so many Submariners. Easily one of Rolex’s most popular watches (if not the most popular), the dive watch – which saw a major update in 2020 – already has a waiting list of multiple years. And that’s just for one of the damn things! We wonder if there’s some sort of package deal Rolex offers…

RELATED: ‘Disgusting’: The Real Reason You Can’t Buy A Rolex Revealed

Of course, in the John Wick films, Reeves’ eponymous character doesn’t wear a Rolex but rather chooses a Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate as his horological weapon of choice: an understated, dressy piece that complements John Wick’s character well.

Off-screen, Keanu’s been spotted wearing everything from a Corum Bubble GMT to an OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M and even another Rolex, the GMT-Master II ‘Coke’. He truly is a man of taste.

While we’re at it, check out some of the other cool watches Hollywood’s action heroes have worn on the big screen. [Watch below.]

Newlywed’s Glass Bottom Tub Complaint In Maldives Leaves The Internet Shook
Newlywed’s Glass Bottom Tub Complaint In Maldives Leaves The Internet Shook

You wouldn’t think there would be much to complain about when staying in an overwater villa in the Maldives (with the love of your life). But then: you’re not a travel blogger with a TikTok following to grow.

Speaking of which: Zachary Abel (@zacharyburrabel), American actor from Make It or Break It, who is also a travel blogger and credit card points hacker, has taken to TikTok to share “the worst part about being in a glass bottom tub” in an overwater villa in The Maldives, whilst on his honeymoon.

His complaint? Watch the video below to find out.

The worst part about being in a glass bottom tub, in an overwater villa…

Basically, he says, the glass bottom to your tub gives you FOMO. You start to feel like you’re missing out on the outdoor rain shower, which then leads you to realise what you really want to do is swim next to the overwater villa.

Abel, who has 1.1 million followers and 21.5 million likes on TikTok, did acknowledge, tongue in cheek, it “could be worse.”

Some of his followers loved the video. Others were low-key shook. Even hotel company IHG Hotels & Resorts wrote: “That’s the best predicament we’ve heard all week.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “This is an appropriate flex.”

Yet another wrote: “Decisions, decisions.”

Another wrote: “Life is so hard in the Maldives.”

Others got a bit more analytical, saying that – depending on your choice – your fingers could end up looking a different kind of shrivelled: “Main choices: freshwater or saltwater prune fingers.”

Another user asked: “What if someone swims under the tub?” – to which Abel responded: “Seriously.”

Yet another dilemma he solved for his followers is that of how to make a honeymoon special “when you travel all the time.” In response to this question, he said: “This is one of the only trips we have gone to on location for such a long time – that’s been a big difference.”

There you have it: the worst part about staying in an overwater villa in the Maldives, with a glass bottom tub.

Dan Bilzerian Shows Off Ferrari ‘Clown Car’ Worth More Than Your Salary
Dan Bilzerian Shows Off Ferrari ‘Clown Car’ Worth More Than Your Salary

Dan Bilzerian, the so-called ‘King of Instagram’, has one of the most voluminous car collections on the planet.

The 40-year-old entrepreneur, amateur poker player, modern-day Hugh Hefner – and now published author, with his semi-autobiographical self-help book The Setup having finally hit shelves this year – owns millions of dollars worth of cars. It’s quite an eclectic collection too, ranging from late model Bentleys and Rolls-Royces to off-road buggies and even classic cars like his AC Shelby Cobra.

His latest whip, however, is easily the most wacky. Last week, Bilzerian took to his Instagram story to show off his latest ride: a pint-sized Ferrari roadster. The muscle-bound bon vivant, seen eating a whole steak dinner on a plate behind the wheel, looked positively ludicrous. It’s like the world’s most expensive clown car.

Specifically, the car is a 3/4-size replica of a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa made by British firm (appropriately) called The Little Car Company. The ‘Testa Rossa J’ actually qualifies as an official Ferrari product, thanks to The Little Car Company’s close collaboration with the Maranello marque. Boasting a hand-beaten aluminium body and a bang-on scaled-down recreation of the original’s chassis developed using original blueprints supplied by Ferrari’s Classiche Department, this isn’t just some hokey replica car.

RELATED: Australia’s Replica Car Market Is Heating Up – But Are They Actually Worth Buying?

As Top Gear relates, “the paint and leather are the same stuff Ferrari uses on its road cars, the steering wheel is by Nardi, the brakes by Brembo, the tyres by Pirelli, the suspension (which was signed-off by proper Ferrari test drivers at Fiorano, no less) by Bilstein and the pedals are nicked from the F8 Tributo. You get handmade wire wheels as standard, but you can upgrade to proper Borranis if you like.”

Powered by an electric motor, the Testa Rossa J makes around 12kW and has a top speed of 60km/h. With prices starting at around US$108,000, they’re hardly cheap (although much cheaper than buying a full-scale 250 TR, it must be said – a 250 TR sold for an incredible $US39.8 million back in 2014).

In short, it’s the perfect big boy’s toy… Or little boy’s toy, as the case may be. We’ll let you be the judge of which one Bilzerian is.
