The seminal award-winning actor Nicolas Cage made a swift return to Hollywood in 2022, playing… Himself. In The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Cage takes on the role of a lifetime and plays ‘Nic Cage’, a fictionalised version of himself, making his way back onto our screens and into our hearts.

Where To Watch

Currently, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is available to rent or buy on Apple TV, Amazon and the Microsoft Store.

Trailer

The Cast & Crew

In The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Nicolas Cage appears as a fictionalised version of himself, playing a creatively unfulfilled actor facing financial ruin named ‘Nic Cage’.

Cage told Entertainment Weekly that he instantly felt a connection to the role, as the character works in Hollywood’s fickle industry, in which success comes in ebbs and flows.

“Feeling unfulfilled and contending with the rejection that can happen so often in the small town that is Hollywood.”

Initially, Cage was hesitant to accept the role, as he feared the character was a little too close to home.

“I wasn’t too excited about the idea of playing myself, but when Tom sent me this script, Nicky reminded me a little of Jerry Lewis’ Buddy Love in ‘The Nutty Professor,’” he said.

“I always admired what he did with that movie. For me, Nicky steals the show.”

The film also stars comedian Tiffany Haddish, famous for Girls Trip and The Kitchen, and Ike Barinholtz, known for The Mindy Project. Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Lily Sheen, Jacob Scipio, Neil Patrick Harris and Paco León also appear in the film.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was directed by Tom Gormican, who wrote the film alongside Kevin Etten, who serves as a film producer with Mike Nilton, Cage, Kristin Burr and Kevin Turen.

Gormican, who most notably has directed Ghosted and That Awkward Moment, wrote the role with Cage in mind but believed it was “a shot in the dark” getting him for the film.

The Plot

As mentioned previously, Cage plays a bitter actor facing financial hardship who is made a $1 million offer to attend a billionaire super fan’s birthday party. However, things take a wild unexpected turn when it’s revealed the dangerous superfan is really a drug kingpin who forces Cage to recapture his most beloved on-screen characters to save himself and his loved ones.

Patrick Harris will appear as Cage’s manager, and Haddish will play Vivian, a CIA operative who recruits the actor to help take down the drug lord.

What The Critics & Reviews Say

Currently, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent has a 7.1 IMDB score and a critic rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Australian Release Date

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was released in Aussie cinemas on the 22nd of April 2022.

What To Wear On A Flight If You’re A Guy
What To Wear On A Flight If You’re A Guy

Travelling is fun, but planes pretty much suck. Between the dubious food, cramped seating, and the fact that you have to unwillingly endure a stranger’s less-than-compelling life story for what could be hours at a time, a journey on a plane isn’t what it used to be.

But if there’s one thing you can control mid-air, it’s not looking like a total bag of shit. Among us blokes, looking good for air travel doesn’t seem to matter anymore. But it does, gents: well-dressed equals flight perks, and you owe it to your peers and the staff to avoid looking like it’s the first Sunday after Falls.

This primer will give you the keys to appropriate sartorial etiquette while travelling on a plane, whether that’s a cruisy hour-long flight, a big bad business trip with the MD, or your #wanderlust long haul to the other side of the world.

Dressing For A Domestic Or Short Flight

A short haul flight is easy: the worst thing you have to worry about is cold coffee and a flight attendant having bad breath. But that’s not to say you get a free pass with your wardrobe.

Versatility is the most important factor for short haul flights. Sure, you’re still stranded in Economy for a couple hours, but the key is to wear a look that’s good to go once you get off the plane. No change of clothes needed.

On Top

Short hauls shouldn’t require much more than the basics: think a white tee or oxford shirt that you can wear with any set of pants. In the cooler months, a shawl cardigan over your tee adds a bit of refinement without burdening you with too many layers. In summer, opt for lighter fabrics but always stick to basics that give you the most mileage.

Bottoms

Jeans – provided they’re looked after and don’t have the fade and tear schtick going – are the best option. Quality denim can survive the nasty parts of air travel, but usually pass the mark at a restaurant or bar once you land. Make sure they’re a dark indigo, in good repair, and slim fitting. No rips or frayed hems.

Shoes

Suede chelsea boots or sneakers are the go depending on how much effort you’ve got in the tank. If the flight ends up being on the longer side, or you get stuck with an unlucky layover, consider subbing the boots out for a pair of sneakers. New Balance or Common Projects are good options if you’re not afraid of a bit of a dad-ish, sneans look.

Accessories

If you’re just ducking off for a weekend, you’ll be packing light (we hope). As such, your accessories should be packed for maximum versatility. Think a smart watch that you can wear to both outdoors or on a night out.

Do’s and Don’ts

Do sort all your kit into a small weekender. Short haul flights aren’t an expedition, so you shouldn’t need anything bigger than a messenger bag. This will make it easier for you to disembark, because no one gets a thrill out of waiting in the baggage area for a bag that may have been lost over rural Queensland.

Dressing For An International / Long Flight

It takes a special kind of bastard to enjoy long haul flights, and most of us have an experience of looking like a seedy mess in a nameless airport on the other side of the world.

Here, you can make more concessions to comfort. No one expects you to make the trip from Sydney to L.A in Zegna. But you should still observe the fundamentals and try to avoid dressing like you’re heading to a teen slumber party. You’ll thank yourself later.

On Top

Similar to the short haul look, focus on quality basics. These look good with most combinations and you won’t miss them if something goes wrong during your trip. White, navy, and marle grey tees are our picks, and bring a few to rotate during the flights. Over the top, wear a tailored sweatshirt in a navy or grey to complete the off-duty-but-not-a-disgusting-slob look.

Bottoms

Tailored sweats have a bit of weekend cool about them: you’re dressing for comfort without forgetting your style p’s and q’s. Jersey cotton pants with an elastic cuff and slight taper are comfortable for long flights, and avoid that exhausted commuter look we’ve all observed at various points during our travelling careers.

Shoes

Sneakers should be your first choice for a long haul flight. Not the grimy All-Stars you wear to the gym or disco, but something that’ll both keep your feet in good nick over the trip and make the cut at an airport watering hole. Don’t punish yourself with formal leather shoes. They will end up smelling by the end of your flight.

Also gents, remember to avoid anything open. Your fellow travellers shouldn’t be subject to the sight and smell of your toes for 12 hours. If you need to, change your socks at the airport between stops. Just don’t be a feral and wear your Bali thongs (flip-flops).

Accessories

If you don’t fancy listening to Dorothy talk about her grandchildren and third hip replacement, our prime advice is to invest in headphones. Headphones are a universal accessory for communicating via body language that you’re not interested in airplane small talk, so invest wisely.

RELATED: Best Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds To Buy Right Now

Do’s and Don’ts

Do bring a change of essentials, particularly if there’s a layover. People tend to get grimy during long flights, so having extra jocks and socks to change into at an airport pit-stop will be the key to feeling fresh during your ordeal.

Dressing For A Business Trip Flight

Business trips can make or break a good corporate career. Your boss wants to see what kind of bloke you are outside the office. Looking decent can play some (small) part in that.

If you’re travelling solo, apply the Short Haul rules and bring your suit in a sturdy garment bag. But if your boss is along for the trek, you need to think clearly about whether they can forget seeing you in track pants and a band tee from your salad days as a face-chewing festival monstrosity. Chances are, he won’t live it down, so you need to think twice, and dress like a big boy.

Do I Suit Up?

Our money is on a cautious no. It’s impractical, uncomfortable, and air travel isn’t kind to suits at the best of times. It’s likely you’ll step off the plane with your favourite M.J. Bale kit resembling a wrinkled mess. Keep it in a secure garment bag and opt for business casual instead.

On Top

Play it safe on the more formal end of business casual – an Oxford shirt and thin pullover knit says to your boss that you can handle looking the part without the familiarity of a two piece suit. You won’t need a tie (on board at least) so wear the shirt open-necked, but not so open that you look like an Eastern European criminal with a trunk full of fake Rolexes.

Bottoms

Here, tailored chinos or denim will do the job. Even if you’re semi on the clock, you can still afford to dress down on account for the fact that you’re trading a plush office chair for an aerial sardine can.

If you’re worried that your boss has strange whims about what is and isn’t kosher, play it safe and wear tailored pants – wool or cotton – and stow your jeans for travel downtime instead.

Shoes

Business trips can have some arcane rules about footwear. You’re still on the clock, more or less, but no one is wearing their proper work shoes. So, you’ll need to think of something in between. Our picks are on suede oxfords or loafers, or even driving shoes if it’s a casual trip. Your feet can take a killing during air travel, and there’s nothing worse than eight hours in the same pair of uncomfortable leather stompers.

RELATED: The Difference Between $100 & $1,000 Leather Shoes Explained By Experts

Accessories

You won’t impress a flight attendant by flashing your scuffed, pawn-shop Rolex when she wheels around for snacks, but it’s important to be dressed whole if you’re travelling in company. Remember to pack your IWC, OMEGA or Rolex because you’re there to make a good impression.

Do’s & Don’ts

If you’re travelling with a senior colleague, gauge their expectations before you roll into the airport. If they’re under the impression you’re heading straight into a meeting once the wheels touch down, that might be a good indication you’ll need to travel as you work (i.e, in corporate attire). If it’s a work booze trip masquerading as official business, you can dress down accordingly.

Dressing For A Holiday Flight

If you’re lucky enough to score a week or two here and there to nip off to somewhere sunny, thinking about what to wear might seem like a fair ordeal in exchange for fruity cocktails and endless afternoons on a deck chair.

Holidays don’t really carry heaps of expectations, but you should still avoid your Bintang worst, and make an honest attempt to disrupt the Australian tourist’s reputation as an ill-mannered, ill-dressed wuckfit.

On Top

Pretty much anything goes here, as long as it’s not a ratty tee with mothholes or your 2008 rugby all-star jersey. A camp-collar shirt over a tee can add a festive element to your trip, and are on trend without looking too overdone.

However, singlets are a categorical no-no. Even if you’re built like Chris Hemsworth and flying in the middle of February, no one asked to see your armpit hair or dodgy tribal tats from 2009.

RELATED: The Secret To Making Your Casual Sportswear Look Damn Cool

Bottoms

It’s a holiday, not a christening, so you can run the risk of wearing shorts. Not boardies though, or your footy shorts from when you were a D-grade benchrider, but tailored shorts – that is, ending above the knee, a modest taper, and generally look like something you could chuck on with a shirt and white sneakers for a night out.

Shoes

If your holiday was worth the coin, you shouldn’t need to wear shoes a whole lot. However, you still need to get there, so get out your sturdiest, most versatile trainers – New Balance or Adidas – to give your feet a break if it’s a longish trek.

And remember, gents, a week away isn’t an excuse to wear thongs on a plane. Aside from the fact that you’re exposing your toes to being trod on by a flight attendant, feet get nasty during travel and there’s only so much you can do mid-air to keep the funk at bay.

Accessories

The D’Marge rule for holiday dress is thus: never wear anything you’re afraid to lose, trade, or obliterate while overseas.

Holidays always carry that X factor of ‘anything could happen’, so bringing an expensive watch, heirloom signet ring, or Gucci shades is just asking for trouble (or a mugging if you travel anywhere interesting).

Men’s Fashion FAQ

How should a shawl cardigan fit?

Since shawl cardigans can be layered under jackets, look for one with high armholes and trim sleeves, preferably with enough room to accommodate a button down. For the length, it should fit just below your belt line.

How do you take care of suede boots?

Regularly clean your suede boots with a special brush. Treat them with a thin application of suede sealant every couple of months to help repel dirt and prevent stains.

Is there a difference between joggers and sweatpants?

Yes. Joggers are usually lighter and made of thinner materials to allow your legs to breathe. Sweatpants are designed to be thicker and warmer than joggers.

Daniel Ricciardo’s Kettlebell Circuit Will Accelerate Your Gains
Daniel Ricciardo’s Kettlebell Circuit Will Accelerate Your Gains

While you might not initially believe it, Formula One drivers are some of the fittest athletes on the planet. But to reach their peak level of fitness is no easy task since they need to keep their weight relatively light, but muscles strong to help withstand the immense g-force placed upon them during a race.

So, just how does a Formula One racer workout? Well, if you were to look at Max Verstappen’s workout, not very well, so allow Australian Formula One hotshot and current member of the McLaren F1 team, Daniel Ricciardo to reveal a far more beneficial workout with this six-exercise kettlebell circuit.

Completing his workout outside with some friends, Daniel’s six-exercise kettlebell circuit includes the following moves:

  • Renegade Row with Push Up: Get into a push up position with a kettlebell under each shoulder. Perform a push up, grab one of the kettlebells and row it up towards your hip. Think about driving your elbow up to the sky to help. Perform another push up and perform a row on the opposite side.
  • Step Up High Knee: You’ll need a small step for this movement. Grab a dumbbell in each hand with an overhand grip. Hold them just above your shoulders (they can rest on you if you wish). Step up onto your platform or step with one leading leg, bring the trailing leg up and straight up into a high knee, i.e. don’t put the foot of the trailing leg onto the platform. Step back down and perform the same on the opposite side.
  • Kneeling Halos: Get into a kneeling position and hold a dumbbell with both hands. Move the kettlebell around your head in a circular motion.
  • Wall Sit Bus Drivers: Put your back against a wall and squat down until your knees are at right angles. From here, hold a kettlebell with both hands with your arms straight out in front of you. Rotate your wrists as if you were holding a steering wheel, turning 90-degrees left and 90-degrees right. Complete 10 reps for each side.
  • Reverse Lunge with Twist: Daniel is actually using a weighted medicine ball for this movement, but it can be done with a kettlebell too. From a standing position, step back with one leg and squat down to perform a reverse lunge. When at the bottom position, rotate your body to the opposite side to the trailing leg (if you stepped back with your left leg, rotate your body to the right) twisting at the hips. Return to the starting position and perform on the opposite sides.
  • American Swing: This move is similar to a standard kettlebell swing, but sees the kettlebell coming up above the head as opposed to straight up in front of you. Start in a standing position, holding a kettlebell with both hands using an overhand grip. Have it hanging between your legs. Hinge at the hips to push your bum back. Bring the kettlebell under your legs and behind you, and then drive forward through your hips to swing the kettlebell up and above your head.

Perform each exercise for 40 seconds each, and rest for 20 seconds in between each exercise. You can choose to perform for a specified number of sets, 6, for example, or keep working through the circuit for 20 – 30-minutes. Either way, you can be guaranteed of world champion gains.

Everything Australians Need To Know About America’s 5G Flight Disruptions
Everything Australians Need To Know About America’s 5G Flight Disruptions

Ah, 5G. Depending on who you ask, the fifth generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks is either the best thing since sliced bread for mobile phones… Or something that’ll give you autism or a conspiracy behind the spread of The Spicy Cough.

The latest concern about 5G is that it’ll interfere with planes. Domestic carriers as well as airlines from around the world are adjusting their schedules and aircraft deployments for flights to the US over fears that AT&T and Verizon 5G rollout near American airports could interfere with key safety systems, Bloomberg relates.

Some of the airlines that are cancelling some or all flights to America from Australia – other than American carriers like American Airlines, Delta and United – include Air Canada, Air Korea, Emirates and Singapore Airlines.

However, not all airlines are worried about the 5G rollout. Qantas, for one, has brushed off concerns and will continue flying. “Our flights in the United States will fully comply with the safety regulator’s requirements… We would never operate unless it was completely safe to do so,” Qantas chief technical pilot Captain Alex Passerini has assured customers.

Major carriers Etihad and Qatar Airways are also continuing to fly from Australia to the US.

Image: Reuters

But what’s all the fuss about? While airlines, aerospace manufacturers and the US’ Federal Aviation Administration have been sounding the alarm about potentially catrastrophic interference from 5G, experts and the wireless industry say the threat of actual safety issues is minimal, and that the disruption is largely being caused by FAA delays and incompetence, Motherboard relates.

They continue by explaining that “evidence of actual interference has been hard to come by. The wireless industry has been quick to point out that more than 40 countries worldwide have deployed 5G technology [close to avionics equipment] without incident.” It’s worth pointing out that Australia is one of those countries.

RELATED: The Deadly Truth About Travelling Across Australia

Although 5G doesn’t spread COVID, it’s hard to see how, ultimately, this is anything but the lasting impact of COVID on the global airline industry. From government organisations to the wireless industry and airlines, everyone’s stretched thin… But we guess Aussies might have to hold out a little longer for an American holiday.

Watch The New Daniel Craig James Bond Documentary For Free

It seems just like yesterday that Daniel Craig was announced as the new James Bond, taking over from previous Bond, Pierce Brosnan. And yet, here we are, over 15 years later and Craig is stepping away from the famous spy he’s now played in five box-office smashing and critically-acclaimed films. It’s a bittersweet moment; Craig was a damn good Bond but it is exciting to ponder which actor will be cast as 007 next.

In celebration of Craig’s last time playing James Bond — in the recent film No Time To Die — a documentary in which Craig candidly and fondly looks back on his time playing the beloved character with Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli has been released. The special 45-minute retrospective also includes never-before-seen archival footage from all of Craig’s Bond films from Casino Royale to No Time To Die.

The official poster for the James Bond documentary. Image Credit: Special Treats Productions/Eon Productions/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

While the documentary, called Being James Bond, was previously available on Apple TV, it has just been released onto Youtube so viewers can access finally it for free. Being James Bond seems to cover everything from the criticism Craig received when his Bond casting was first announced in 2005 — many were outraged that he had blonde hair and thought he was too old — to how emotional shooting Craig’s last scene as Bond was.

Craig’s voice trembles slightly as he discusses his departure from the Bond series:

“Let’s be honest, leaving this role is not easy. It’s a really difficult thing to do.”

Daniel Craig

Producer Broccoli highly praises the way Craig had a new approach from previous Bond actors and played Bond in a grounded and gritty way; so much so that she can’t even fathom what’s next for James Bond: “I cannot imagine Bond after Daniel.”

It’s not all sadness though; Being James Bond truly celebrates the last five Bond films and provides an interesting insight into how Craig prepared for the role, how he would argue for script changes if he didn’t agree with a certain scene, and that overall he’s truly pleased with what his James Bond accomplished.

“I look at the films and I’m genuinely proud of every single one of them. I know we’ve done our best.”

Daniel Craig

If you want to take a look at the inner workings of the last five Bond films with its star Daniel Craig, make sure you watch Being James Bond; which you can do so for free below:

This 12-Minute Upper Body Kettlebell Workout Will Quite Literally Destroy You
This 12-Minute Upper Body Kettlebell Workout Will Quite Literally Destroy You

If you’re not already aware of HIIT workouts, then where have you been? These High-Intensity Interval Training workouts sure do burn when you’re performing them, but they bring serious rewards. They help you to burn a shedload of calories and can help you build muscle at the same time. And the best part? You only need to perform one for around 20 minutes.

That said, this upper body and core kettlebell workout, courtesy of Onnit athlete Eric Leija, takes only 12 minutes and will quite literally destroy you… In a good way.

Eric’s circuit comprises just four movements, but you need to perform them for 40 seconds each for a total of 6 sets. Don’t worry, you get 20 seconds of rest in between each exercise and a further 60 seconds rest in between sets. So there’s plenty of time to catch your breath.

Eric’s upper body kettlebell workout includes the following moves:

  • Push up to bear crawl renegade row: Get into a push-up position and grip a kettlebell in each hand. Perform a push-up as normal and when back in the starting position, bring your feet forward and slightly bend your knees to get into a bear crawl pose. Now, row each kettlebell (separately) up towards your chest. Focus on dragging your elbow up towards the sky to help.
  • V-sit to elbow to knee: A serious core burner, perform a V-sit – lie on your back and raise your upper body and legs into the air so that you perform a V shape, keeping your arms and legs straight. To help, inhale before you perform the V-sit and exhale as you perform. Once you have done this, bring one knee to a right angle and raise your upper body off the ground. With your hands behind your ears, twist your body so that the opposite elbow meets the knee.
  • Double arm kettlebell American swing to push press: This is a serious full body exercise. Holding a kettlbell in each hand, bend your knees slightly and hinge at the hips. Drive yourself forward to swing both kettlebells up and above your head, with your arms straight. The power should come from thrusting your hips forward, as opposed to using your arms to drag the kettlebells up.
Return to the starting position and perform a push press. Bend your knees again to get into a slight squat position. Hold the kettlebells at around shoulder height and as you push up with your legs to get into a standing position, drive the kettlebells up above your head.
  • Sit throughs: Sit throughs may look easy, but they’re actually rather difficult. Eric performs his by keeping just one hand planted on the ground, but if you’re new to them, you can perform them whilst keeping both hands on the ground. Essentially, with a hand on the ground, you want to twist your body so that it’s facing away from that hand. Eric’s version is more advanced in that he twists his entire body round, as opposed to just kicking a leg through, so just perform yours to a level you’re comfortable with.

Complete all four exercises for a total of 6 sets and you’ve got yourself a serious muscle-building HIIT workout. Well, if you survive, that is. Good luck.

Making Sense Of The Wildest Men’s Tennis Fashion At The 2022 Australian Open
Making Sense Of The Wildest Men’s Tennis Fashion At The 2022 Australian Open

The 2022 Australian Open is in full swing (pun intended), and while we’ve already seen some colourful scenes off-court – from the bizarre ‘siuuu’ chant taking over Melbourne Park’s myriad courts to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic’s ugly visa scandal – what’s really been colourful are the outfits some of the world’s top players have been rocking.Tennis has always had an outsized influence on male fashion. One only has to look at how tennis sneakers like Adidas Stan Smiths and Dunlop Volleys have become casual footwear staples, or how tennis apparel brands like Lacoste and Sergio Tacchini – both founded by ex-tennis players – have become so iconic.Indeed, some of the most notable men’s sporting fashion icons have been tennis players: Andre Agassi, Arthur Ashe, Björn Borg, Lleyton Hewitt (come on, everyone loves a backwards cap…)We’re only a few days into the prestigious Grand Slam tournament, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most stylish Aus Opens in recent memory. A particularly noticeable trend has been wild colours and prints – a throwback to the 90s, where tennis fashion was really outrageous. We’ve rounded up some of the best looks from the tournament thus far.

Liam Broady

Image: AP
First up, we have British ranked No. 4 and captain of the GB ATP Cup side for 2022, Liam Broady. Broady put up a impressive yet ultimately unsuccessful fight against local legend Nick Kyrgios… But what was even more impressive was his outfit. This rainbow pattern is bloody amazing. Whether you think it’s a 90s fever dream or bus seat fabric chic, it was definitely hard to miss. We back it.An element of Broady’s outfit fans might have missed, however, was his rainbow-coloured laces. It’s part of a campaign by British LGBT rights organisation Stonewall to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport, with Broady being the latest athlete to lend his support. Great stuff.RELATED: Australia’s First Openly Gay Professional Footballer Has Every Right To Be Angry

Félix Auger-Aliassime

Image: Getty
Another great outfit is the one 9th-seeded Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime chose today for his game against Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. The tasteful red, blue and white gradient is both very modern and kinda retro at the same time. Very clean.RELATED: The Best Tennis Racquets To Smash Your Way To VictorySeems as if a lot of Adidas athletes have been sporting kits with this sort of gradient effect, with Germany’s Alexander Zverev sporting a similar black and red gradient on his kit during his game against fellow German Daniel Altmeier. Speaking of Zverev…

Alexander Zverev

Image: Tennis World USA
The World No. 3 is consistently one of the most stylish players in world tennis: his long hair, love of gold chains and big headbands make him particularly hard to miss. Zverev rocked a tank top at last year’s Aus Open but this year he’s gone for something a bit different – as well as bringing a number of different looks with him for the tournament.RELATED: Cool Tennis Clothing To Ensure Your Game & Style Is Always On PointThe outfit he wore when playing Australia’s John Millman was particularly cool. His shorts sported that gradient effect we spoke about earlier (and his shoes matched his shorts), but the pinstripes his t-shirt sported had a very classy effect that contrasted rather well with the rest of the outfit.

Corentin Moutet

Image: Getty
France is the fashion capital of the world, so it’s perhaps no surprise that one of France’s rising tennis stars, Corentin Moutet, showed up in a rather fashionable kit.The super-colourful painbrush-esque graphic he wore during his game against the United States’ Sebastian Korda was eye-catching, to say the least. We’re also a fan of how he chose colourful wristbands to match.RELATED: Australian Tennis Player Brings Back Primary School’s Most Maligned Uniform AccessoryMoutet’s not had the easiest Australian campaign. Before the Aus Open, Moutet found himself in hot water at the Adelaide International 1 tournament, getting disqualifed for swearing at the chair umpire immediately after losing the second set of his second-round match against Serbia’s Laslo Đere. Rude boy, rude oufit.

Salvatore Caruso

Image: Eurosport
Finally, our vote for the best outfit of the 2022 Australian Open (so far) goes to Salvatore Caruso. The Italian World No. 146 might have been thoroughly trounced by Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanović in the first round, but he’s won the outfit game pretty conclusively. This black, green and white pattern looks like some sort of urban adaptive camouflague you’d see soldiers wearing. It seems to be a signature look for Caruso, who also wore kit sporting the design at the 2022 Bendigo International earlier in the year. We bloody love it.Caruso called himself “the most famous lucky loser in the world” after making it into the Aus Open draw following Novak Djokovic’s last-minute deportation. We’re glad he made it into the Open, if only for that awesome kit. Bellissimo.
