Huge Kingfish Haul In Sydney Harbour Is A Fisherman’s Wet Dream
Huge Kingfish Haul In Sydney Harbour Is A Fisherman’s Wet Dream

A video has emerged of a giant haul of kingfish stranded in a ferry’s dry dock in Sydney harbour. The video, which is from a couple of months ago, shows workmen catching and releasing the kingfish back into the harbour.

A huge load of kingfish found themselves stuck in a ferry’s docking station a couple of months back, with a viral video now emerging showing what happened to them after they were found. The video, posted on TikTok account @sydney.fishing.report, shows tradesmen rescue some of the 55 (or so) kingfish, picking them up, walking across to the open harbour, and throwing them into the water by their tails.

The video was captioned: “Some big kingfish trapped in Balmain a few months back.”

In wake of the video, a number of threads of conversation emerged. The first was whether or not the kingfish were edible. One TikTok user wrote: “I don’t know if I’d want to be eating anything stuck in that dock for a while.” Others backed him up, writing things like: “I don’t know if I’d touch anything from the Sydney harbour” and “I wouldn’t touch that!! Way [too] polluted to be food.”

Not everyone agreed with this school of thought. Others wrote with enthusiasm about how they would have liked to bring a couple of the fish home for dinner. “Did some make it home for dinner or what?”, one social media user wrote.

“We eating good tonight.”

“Nothing wrong with it,” another claimed. “The meat you buy from the shops probably have more pollution in it from what they been feed.”

“We could’ve housed that.”

More fish hungry TikTok users commented things like “Should of went in the esky” and “Omg all that ceviche.”

“That would feed my family for a year the way prices are now .”

From “I’d be loading my freezer right upp” to “fry up lads!” there were quite a few keen commenters on the video…

The video also had social media users, presumably not realising the video is a couple of months old, tagging their mates and suggesting it might be worth a trip (“let’s go”).

Another debate was had as to where the fish were trapped. One user reckoned it was Garden Island, another user said it was actually Balmain (“they were actually caught in the Balmain/Sydney ferries dry dock and released back into the harbour”).

Food for thought indeed.

Demand For New Range Rover Sport Hits Ridiculous Levels In Australia
Demand For New Range Rover Sport Hits Ridiculous Levels In Australia

Australians have long had a love affair with Land Rovers, especially the marque’s luxurious Range Rover models. But the latest SUV from the British brand seems to have really captured our imaginations…

DMARGE has it on good authority that the waiting list for the new Range Rover Sport, which broke cover earlier this year in May but examples of which haven’t arrived in the country yet, is the longest the model range has ever seen, with hundreds of customers having placed pre-orders for the third-generation Range Rover Sport without even seeing it first.

Other SUVs that have seen insane demand for orders include the new Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the BMW iX (the latter three of which are electric cars).

Aussies have gotten pretty used to the concept of waiting lists for new cars over the last two years (thanks to COVID and supply chain disruptions) but despite the world more or less going back to normal, it seems there’s still waits to be had for some new cars.

The third-gen Range Rover Sport, also known as the L461, is the first new Range Rover Sport in over 9 years. Slightly longer yet slightly narrower than the outgoing L494, it inherits many of the styling cues that first debuted with the new L460 full-size Range Rover, which was unveiled last year.

A wide array of engine options will be available for the new RRS: three diesels, two petrols and a plug-in hybrid option, with an all-electric variant due in 2024. Prices start from $139,160 for the most affordable 3.0L inline-six turbo-diesel and creep over the $200,000 mark for the high-performance petrol engines.

We’re just keen to drive one – but considering how long the waiting list already is, it might be a while until we’re afforded the privilege…

French Luxury Brand Launches $61 ‘Spray & Wipe’ For Bougie House Husbands
French Luxury Brand Launches $61 ‘Spray & Wipe’ For Bougie House Husbands

Every thought cleaning the house lacked a certain je ne sais quoi? Fear not, mon ami: luxury fragrance and candle brand Diptyque has released a range of luxurious household cleaning products… That are ridiculously, needlessly expensive.

Despite the cost of living and house prices reaching record highs, Diptyque seems to think Aussies are doing just fine financially if their latest product range is anything to go byy.

It’s called La Droguerie: a new collection of eco-friendly household products – which marks Diptyque’s first foray into home cleaning – and the prices are astronomical.

Diptyque’s multi-surface cleaner will cost Australians $61. For comparison, your humble Ajax Spray & Wipe costs just $3.50 at Woolworths. Diptyque’s dish soap also costs $61 and again, for a comparison, dish soap is available at Woolies for as little as $1.20.

The household cleaning collection that’s worth a fair chunk of money. Image Credit: Diptyque

Does Diptyque think we all have kitchen counters and plates made of gold? How can they justify this pricing?

Well apparently, the products “combine effectiveness with respect for the environment, style with subtle fragrance” and “the liquid formulations comprise ingredients that are 99% natural or of natural origin and are biodegradable with Ecocert accreditation”. Smells like French bullshit to us.

Still, $61 for a cleaning product that you can get for less than five dollarydoos down at the local supermarket suggests that Diptyque are well and truly taking the piss. At least they’ll be able to mop it up.

Dan Bilzerian Calls Out The Rock For Having Fake Instagram Followers
Dan Bilzerian Calls Out The Rock For Having Fake Instagram Followers

They’re two of the most muscle-bound and popular men on Instagram – but it seems Dan Bilzerian has beef with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the former accusing the latter of having fake followers on the social media platform.

Bilzerian took to his Instagram story earlier today to compare his IG video’s view counts to The Rock’s. Despite The Rock having almost 10 times Bilzerian’s followers (324 million vs. 32.8 million) and posting far more frequently than Bilzerian, Bilzerian’s videos seem to consistently get well over 10 times the views of The Rock’s.

As Bilzerian himself puts it, “that’s weird”. It suggests that The Rock might have more than a few fake followers – or, at the very least, has a far less engaged audience than Bilzerian’s.

Or maybe it’s because Danny B posts nothing but semi-naked women and Dwayne has a slightly more PG Instagram…

Images: @danbilzerian

This isn’t the first time Bilzerian has tried to spark beef with The Rock. Late last year, the part-time poker player/full-time swine merchant criticised the Hollywood superstar’s physique during a guest appearance on the More Plates More Dates podcast.

“He’s obviously f**king juicing… It’s unhealthy to sustain that level of mass,” Bilzerian suggested, whilst going on to also have a crack at his personality.

“I respect what he’s done, the guy is a f**king beast, he’s amazing and charismatic and always camera ready… He’s the highest-paid actor in the world, although I don’t think he’s the best actor… But the thing I don’t like about The Rock is I don’t feel like he gets to be authentic.”

Dan Bilzerian

“What’s the point in having ‘f**k you’ money if you can’t say ‘f**k you’? I do whatever the f**k I want… He does not. Unless, like, just playing this character forever is what he wants? I don’t think that’s what he wants.”

RELATED: Dan Bilzerian’s Steroid Admission Stuns Fans

Bilzerian has a point there. He also might have a point when it comes to The Rock’s Instagram audience. At the same time, the whole thing smacks of sour grapes, too. Also: it’s possible that the bigger your account is, the more fake followers you have too. And that’s not The Rock’s fault, even if it’s true.

There’s room for two unnecessarily huge units on Instagram, boys.

Want A Superyacht? This One’s Going Cheap
Want A Superyacht? This One’s Going Cheap

A supreme court has ruled that Axioma, one of the seized Russian superyachts, is to be sold at auction. And it’ll most likely go for a steal…

Many of us dream about one day owning a superyacht of our own. But as they’re notoriously expensive to purchase, not to mention how much the upkeep of a superyacht costs, it sadly just isn’t a reality for most people.

With that being said, if you’re desperately wanting a superyacht, there’s currently a rare opportunity to purchase one for [relatively] cheap.

According to superyacht vlogger, eSysman SuperYachts, Axioma – one of the first superyachts owned by a Russian oligarch to be seized – will be auctioned off.

The Gibraltar Supreme Court, where Axioma has been since it was seized, ruled that the superyacht had to be sold to pay off a $21.5 million loan Pyrene Investments (the company that runs Axioma) currently owes to J.P. Morgan.

And due to the superyacht’s ties to Russia – Axioma’s owner is Russian billionaire Dmitry Pumpyansky – and because the superyacht market isn’t exactly booming, it’s likely that Axioma won’t sell for its $75 million market value. In fact, it’ll likely sell for much less.

Axioma is a 236-foot (or 72-meter) vessel that boasts an elegant design and a stylish painted-blue exterior. Axioma also features room to sleep 12 guests, a private cinema, a formal dining room and a pool.

With all those impressive features, if you’ve got a spare few million, why not make a bid at Axioma’s auction? You might walk away with an absolute bargain…

Since then, he has been a member of one of the best-selling boybands of all time, had an incredibly successful solo career thus far, has appeared in a number of Hollywood blockbusters, racked up a string of high-profile girlfriends and challenged gender stereotypes in fashion.

Put simply, he’s an incredibly influential figure not just in music, but in the whole of modern society.

So, who is Harry Styles, who is he dating and how much is he worth? Allow us to answer all these questions and more.

Harry Styles Quick Facts

Name: Harry Edward Styles
Age: 28
DoB: 1 February 1994
Nationality: English
Height: 5 ft 10 in / 1.77m

Who Is Harry Styles?

Harry Styles is an English singer, songwriter and actor who was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, England on 1 February 1994. His parents are mother Anne Twist, a landlady and father Desmond Styles, a finance worker. Harry has an older sister, Gemma. Harry Styles’ parents divorced when he was 7, and his mother remarried John Cox. They divorced and his mother remarried Robin Twist, who passed away from cancer in 2017. Harry Styles has a stepbrother Mike and stepsister Amy, from this marriage.

Harry Styles showed a keen interest in singing and performing from a young age and would often sing covers on a karaoke machine. He later attended Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in Cheshire, England, where he took the role of lead singer for the band White Eskimo.

Singing Career

One Direction

Image: @onedirection

Harry Styles auditioned for the UK version of The X Factor in 2010 and made his way through the stages up until boot camp, but didn’t make it any further. His luck turned around, however, when it was suggested he team up with four other boys in his age group – Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson – to form a group, to be mentored by Simon Cowell. This group became One Direction.

One Direction eventually finished the show in third place but was immediately signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Records. Their debut single and album both charted at number 1 on the US Billboard chart, making them the first British group to do so. One Direction set another record by being the first group to have their first four albums debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200. Their ‘Where We Are Tour’ in 2014 currently stands as the highest-grossing tour of all time by a vocal group.

Solo Career

Following his suggestion the group go on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, Harry Styles embarked on a solo career and released his first single “Sign of the Times” in April 2017, and his debut solo album a month later. Harry Styles’ debut solo album entered the charts at number 1 in the US, UK and Australia, along with numerous other countries around the world.

Harry Styles has since released two more solo albums: Fine Line in 2019 and Harry’s House in 2022. Harry’s House received critical and commercial success upon its release, debuting at number 1 in the US and UK and becoming the fastest-selling record to date in 2022. Harry Styles’ solo albums have sold in excess of 3 million copies.

Harry Styles Movies

Image: @gentlemansjournal

Harry Styles made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 movie, Dunkirk. Nolan insisted Harry wasn’t cast as a result of his fame, claiming he wasn’t actually aware of the sheer extent of it. Harry’s performance in Dunkirk was received well by critics.

His next acting role came as Eros / Starfox in the Marvels movie Eternals, but only in a mid-credits scene. Harry’s character is the brother of Thanos, the main villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It remains unclear if Harry will reprise the role in any future movies.

Styles is set to appear in an upcoming psychological thriller film Don’t Worry Darling, directed by current girlfriend Olivia Wilde (more on that in a moment), and he’s also down to play the main character in My Policeman, which is due to be released in October 2022.

Harry Styles Fashion

Image: @harrystyles

Since Harry Styles has gone solo as an artist, he has had more control over his image and in doing so, he has exhibited a style reminiscent of 70’s glam rock. He teased this style direction during his time with One Direction, often wearing floral prints, big, flamboyant suits and heeled boots.

But during his solo career, he has experimented more with colour, particularly pastel hues of blue and pink, and introduced the likes of sequins, flares and glitter. You only need to take a quick look at some his red carpet looks, such as this jumpsuit at the 2019 Met Gala, these Mary Jane ‘schoolgirl shoes’ at the 2020 Brit Awards, or the Gucci gown he for his cover shoot for US Vogue (he’s the first male to appear on the cover) to understand the style direction he’s comfortable moving in.

RELATED: Harry Styles’ Latest Look Could Be His Weirdest Yet

In response to criticism he received for his Vogue cover shoot, Harry said, “To not wear [something] because it’s females’ clothing, you shut out a whole world of great clothes.”

“What’s exciting about right now is you can wear what you like as lines are becoming more and more blurred.”

Image: @harrystyles

What is abundantly clear is that Harry Styles is attempting to break down gender stereotypes within fashion – something Australian boxer Harry Garside has also gotten behind – and prove that men can wear skirts, dresses and nail polish.

Harry Styles has often collaborated with Italian luxury fashion house Gucci for the majority of his public appearances.

Harry Styles Girlfriend

Commanding such a prominent position in the world of celebrity has naturally meant Harry Styles has attracted a number of women and now has a number of high-profile ex-girlfriends (some the result of just rumour). Harry Styles dated the late British television presenter Caroline Flack from November 2011 to January 2012, when she was fourteen years his senior.

He then had a brief relationship with American singer Taylor Swift in 2012 and it’s believed some of their songs released after their break-up, were inspired by each other. Harry then dated French-American model Camille Rowe from 2017 to 2018, and it’s claimed their relationship inspired his second album, Fine Line.

There have been constant rumours that Harry Styles has dated the American model and star of The Kardashians, Kendall Jenner, but this has never been confirmed. Harry Styles is currently dating American actress and director Olivia Wilde and has been with her since January 2021.

Is Harry Styles gay?

If the above information hasn’t convinced you, then to put it bluntly, no Harry Styles isn’t gay. He has been asked about his sexual orientation in the past, however, and when asked whether he was bisexual by British GQ in a 2013 interview, he said, “Bisexual? Me? I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure I’m not.”

He followed up these comments in 2022 by stating he shouldn’t have to level his sexual orientation at all, “The whole point of where we should be heading, which is toward accepting everybody and being more open, is that it doesn’t matter, and it’s about not having to label everything, not having to clarify what boxes you’re checking.”

Harry Styles Net Worth

Naturally, with the success Harry Styles has had both as a member of One Direction and with his solo music material, has meant he has amassed a rather large fortune. As of 2022, Harry Styles’ net worth is an estimated £100 million.

Harry Styles Tattoos

Image: @harrystyles

Harry Styles has in excess of 60 tattoos on his body. Some of his tattoos include an anchor on his left wrist, a half-naked mermaid on his left forearm, a rose on his left elbow, a handshake on his upper left arm, a butterfly on his torso and a pair of swallows on his chest.

Harry Styles Merch

Harry Styles doesn’t currently have his own line of merchandise – he does have his own beauty line – but you are able to buy merchandise related to his music, such as t-shirts, hoodies and sweatshirts from his various global tours.

Meet The Aurus Senat: Vladimir Putin’s 7-Tonne Knock-Off Rolls-Royce
Meet The Aurus Senat: Vladimir Putin’s 7-Tonne Knock-Off Rolls-Royce

Normally we think of China as being the home of automotive plagiarism, but it seems Vladimir Putin’s Russia is giving them a run for their money with the Aurus Senat.

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation and shirtless horse-riding aficionado, certainly likes the finest things in life. A luxurious watch collection, filled with Breguets and Patek Philippes; an extensive property portfolio throughout Russia and Western Europe; his $140 million personal superyacht Graceful

He also gets driven around in an incredibly luxurious, seven-tonne, Russian-made limousine that has more than a passing resemblance to the current-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom.

Meet the Aurus Senat: the official Presidential State Car of Russia as well as officially one of the most confounding cars ever made. If you don’t believe us, check out this cartoonishly villainous promotional video below.

In standard form, the Aurus Senat weighs just under 3 tonnes, but Putin’s Senat, which boasts bulletproof armour, reinforced glass, bomb-resistant underfloor protection, solid ‘run-flat’ rubber tyres, an integrated weapons system and a self-contained oxygen supply, weighs over 7 tonnes – about the same as a commercial bus, Drive reports.

Like a Rolls-Royce, it’s exceptionally luxurious inside. The interior is filled with swathes of real wood and Russian leather, and a champagne fridge comes as standard. It’s the perfect whip for the budding oligarch facing sanctions from the West.

It’s powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4L petrol V8 reportedly developed in cooperation with Porsche combined with a single-motor electric hybrid system which gets it (the standard car at least) from 0 to 100km/h in just 6 seconds. In comparison, the non-electrified Rolls-Royce Phantom’s 6.75L twin-turbo V12 does 0-100 in 5.3 seconds.

At the same time, the Aurus Senat ‘only’ costs around 18 million rubles (~US$245,000), which is about half the price of a Phantom. Aurus also plan to produce a hydrogen-powered Senat, as photos from a recent Reuters report suggest. That’s something Rolls also isn’t doing.

RELATED: Most Unlikely SUV Ever Spotted Cruising Streets Of North Korea

Vladimir Putin drives Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in a Senat during an event at Sochi Autodrom in 2018. Image: Motor1

The Aurus Senat was introduced as Russia’s state car in 2018 and replaced the Mercedes-Benz S600 Putin used to tool around in. It’s a return to the grand tradition of excessive Russian luxury limousines, as epitomised by the ZiLs of the Soviet era.

Aurus has already started exporting the Senat to the Middle East and China, and are reportedly developing a luxury full-size SUV, the Aurus Komendant. We wonder if that will end up looking like a Cullinan…

Pissed Passenger Wreaks Havoc At Bristol Airport
Pissed Passenger Wreaks Havoc At Bristol Airport

A man has been taken in for questioning after assaulting a staff member at Bristol airport. The incident occurred after he was denied boarding his flight due to being allegedly intoxicated.

A man has made headlines around the world this morning, after pushing past his partner in order to throw a punch at an airline worker wearing a high vis vest (and then quarrel with another). The incident unfolded while the man was waiting to board a flight from Bristol to Alicante.

After hitting one of the airport workers, scuffling with another, then walking away, the man says: “Fill me in. Who’s going to fill me in? You’re going to fill me in? Silly [expletives]… f*ck off.” In other words: he was either pissed up, or pissed off (or both).

After the scuffle, one of the airport staff quickly separates his co-worker from the haymaker throwing holidaymaker and looks to call for back up.

Another man then appears and can be seen holding back one of the attacked airport staff, as the woman who had been pushed to the ground gets back up and pushes him. The offending pair have reportedly been arrested, questioned, and given conditional cautions.

Ths incident took place on Friday the 17th of June. Police have said the two passengers (the man and his partner) were denied entry to the flight due to being intoxicated. The man is said to have begun shouting at boarding gate staff when airport security and other passengers came over to calm the situation down.

That didn’t appear to work, however, with the man allegedly (if the video is to be believed) punching one of the security guards in the face.

A police spokesperson told local news site Bristol Live: “At around 9.30pm on Friday (17 June), officers based at Bristol Airport responded to a report that members of security staff had been assaulted after two people were stopped from boarding a flight, due to being intoxicated.”

The aftermath of the incident. Images via Twitter.

“A 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault. They were both interviewed and given conditional cautions.”

A spokesperson for the airport said: “Anti-social, violent, or threatening behaviour will not be accepted by Bristol Airport or airlines. Whilst such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and will fully support any police investigation.”

This isn’t the first time a fight has broken out near an Easyjet airport area. In Nice in 2017 an airport worker actually punched an Easyjet customer holding a baby

This latest incident comes in a context of travel mayhem for Brits, with lots of flights lately having been cancelled or delayed, lots of baggage going astray, and rail strikes complicating travellers’ plans even further.

Welcome to summer…

Austin Butler Reveals The Advice Leonardo DiCaprio Gave Him About Baz Luhrmann
Austin Butler Reveals The Advice Leonardo DiCaprio Gave Him About Baz Luhrmann

Austin Butler, star of the biopic Elvis, has revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio offered him some accurate advice concerning Baz Luhrmann’s directing style.

Just days after Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis was released, Austin Butler – who stars as the King of Rock and Roll – has now shared the wise advice Leonardo DiCaprio once gave him.

Both Butler and DiCaprio starred in the Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and while they were filming, Butler knew that his next role was going to be Elvis in Luhrmann’s film.

Knowing that DiCaprio had worked with Luhrmann twice – on the films Romeo + Juliet and The Great Gatsby – Butler asked DiCaprio for some words of wisdom.

In an interview with EW, Butler said, “Leo told me, ‘Baz is going to constantly keep you off balance and it’s going to pull things out of you [that] you never knew you had inside you.’”

Butler is being praised by critics for his performance in Elvis. Image Credit: Warner Bros.

Butler went on to say that DiCaprio’s advice was spot on.

“That’s exactly the experience I had. There were days where I just thought, ‘Baz, why don’t we just do what we prepared?’ I realized that he would push me right to the edge of what I was capable of. You capture lightning in a bottle in a way; if you had just done the thing that you had prepared, it may have been more stale.”

Austin Butler

Of course, Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet was the film that catapulted DiCaprio to ‘A-List movie star’ status and it looks like Luhrmann’s Elvis is going to do the same with Butler; there are even rumours that Butler will win the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in Elvis.

And if Butler does win, it’ll be interesting to see whether Butler thanks DiCaprio for warning him about Luhrmann’s directing style in his acceptance speech…
