Redditor’s Dating ‘Revelation’ Provides Hope For Short Men Everywhere

Just a heads up: short men don’t like height jokes. And fair enough: no one likes being made fun of for something they can’t control. But in a blow to all the cruel, joke-happy tall people of the world, one man on Reddit has shared an anecdote that appears to disprove the tired old whinge that women never date men shorter than them. The Reddit user, u/LittleBear42, wrote in the r/Tinder community: “Just matched with this tall Amazonian beauty. I’m 5’7” wish me luck.”

Image via Reddit.
His match’s profile appears to provide hope for short men everywhere: not everyone will write you off for being short. Her profile reads: “I’m tall, dark and handsome. What more could you need? Oh and I have great hair.”

“I’m 6ft and I like both taller and shorter guys; the confidence is attractive either way.”

The first thing the r/Tinder community picked up on was the joke in her profile (which many people missed): “Damn, this many people never heard the cliche how fortune tellers in movies always predict that ‘you’ll meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger’? This is obviously a joke referring to that.”

“Everyone on here talking about her describing herself as handsome. Relax, it’s part of the saying she is using as a joke.”

Other users shared their own height difference stories. One man, who claimed to be 5’4″, wrote: “It’s rough out there for a shrimp lol gotta have much better game than all my tall friends and still don’t get laid as much.”Others said dating is more about your attitude. One Reddit user claimed he dated someone who was 6’3″ while he was 5’4″ and it “was a lot of fun.”Another provided another revelation: “I’m 5’9” so not really that short but I used to chat up tall girls exclusively back in my single years. The taller the better. I figured most girls preferred to be the shorter one but tall girls don’t always have that luxury. Plus any guy shorter than her would also be either too intimidated or just figure the same thing as me, so they wouldn’t bother. So I was really only in competition with myself.”In response to this, another Reddit user wrote: “As a 6’ tall women, yes please talk to us!”RELATED: How To Dress Stylishly When You’re Short“Exactly! Personally, I never cared about a man’s height. If he was funny and confident, he was gorgeous,” commented another.

“Same here!! I’m 5’8” so a lot of times the guy is about as tall as me, especially if I’m in heels. Makes no difference to me as long as they’re confident about it.”

There’s also the matter of sideways looks from others. To which one user says: f*ck em.“I’m a 6’5″ female married to a man for the last 5 yrs (13 together total) who is 5’7″! It can be done, but you have to be OK from the very start. You’ll get comments and questions and weird jokes. F*ck em.”Finally, one user provided an ice-breaker for any short dudes lost for an opening line on a dating app: “I’m 5’7. Basketball court ____ 7pm. Loser buys drinks.”

Cody Simpson Shows Off His Tokyo 2020 OMEGA Silverwear On The Gold Coast

Cody Simpson’s come a long way since his teeny-bopper days. The now 24-year-old Australian singer/songwriter, who was catapulted into the limelight at the age of 13, has since added many more strings to his bow: he’s now an accomplished dancer, actor, model and most notably, swimmer. This isn’t a case of Michael Jordan trying baseball or Mariah Carey trying acting: Simpson’s a genuinely competitive swimmer who’s a member of the University of Southern California elite swim team. Many Aussies were pleasantly surprised to hear that Simpson had qualified for the Australian Olympic trials in the 100m butterfly – although despite setting personal best times, he failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics proper.Still, it’s impressive that he’s not just a talented musician but a talented athlete as well – as well as a man with good taste in watches. Simpson shared a photo to his Instagram Story yesterday of himself chilling on the Gold Coast (his hometown) wearing a Tokyo 2020 OMEGA Seamaster 300M which we wish we had in our collection. Who needs an Olympic medal when you’ve got a very cool Olympic watch?

A clean and classy variant of the iconic 90s dive watch, the stainless steel Tokyo 2020 Seamaster 300M retails for AU$8,600 and features an eye-catching white ceramic dial paired with a blue ceramic bezel, ‘Seamaster’ dial text written in contrasting red and a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem decorating its sapphire crystal caseback.OMEGA might be best known as the brand boasting “the first watch on the moon” but the storied Swiss watchmaker has also been the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. Naturally, they produce a series of limited-edition models to commemorate every Olympic Games, with Tokyo being no exception.RELATED: The Coolest OMEGA Watches To Score In 2021For Tokyo, the brand produced five Seamaster limited editions: three Aqua Terra variants, a Planet Ocean and the Seamaster 300M Cody chose to snap up. They also released five limited edition Speedmasters, inspired by the five colours of the Olympic rings – although sadly these were a Japan-only release.Last year, when it wasn’t clear that the Tokyo games would actually go ahead, some watch fans were speculating that these models would become real collector’s items – the allure of a watch from a games that didn’t happen a self-explanatory novelty. Thankfully (or perhaps regrettably, depending on your perspective) the games went ahead.

Simpson’s said he wants to continue focusing on his swimming career alongside his music – he’s still young, so fingers crossed he can keep working on his times and maybe we could see him at the Paris 2024 Games. They’re only three years away…RELATED: Here’s How To Become An Olympian While Putting In As Little Effort As PossibleCody’s journey to the Australian Olympic trials has become the focus of a documentary called Head Above Water, which you can watch on Amazon Prime Video.

Incredible Australian Destinations To Visit Before Our International Borders Open Again
Incredible Australian Destinations To Visit Before Our International Borders Open Again

Australia has many magic but bespoiled nooks and crannies.

From kids trying to hook Tourism NSW’s favourite stingray (trust us: Bendalong is not the Maldives) to Circular Quay swarming with tourists, sometimes less is definitely more.

On that note – though the country is still currently battling Delta and so domestic travel is currently limited – there will likely come a time when trotting the country is back on the cards, but trotting the globe is still not.

RELATED: Australia’s Stunning ‘Italy Alternative’ Few People Know About

To fill your head with wonderous visions of what this could look like, here are 7 cool places to visit before international borders open again.

Get in early and see them before they fill with (more) tourists.

Note: Do not go break lockdown laws to travel. This list is to inspire you for when domestic lockdowns lift. Not for right now. Follow the official health and travel advice.

La Perouse

@viewswithdavLocation at the end! The colours just emerged out of nowhere! Has anyone been before? ##australia ##sydney ##views ##fyp ##viewswithdav ##trending♬ my audio yellow – ♡

As the above video shows, La Perouse (near Maroubra) is one of Sydney’s most beautiful sunset spots and it’s just a 20-minute drive from the Sydney CBD. It also shows how much a place can change in two hours.

Commenters on the above TikTok video said things like “The Bridge is great for jumping off,” as well as “You’re getting fined by the time you’ve finished with this recording. No parking after sunset gate closed.”

If that’s not the quintessential Sydney experience, nothing is.

Hutt Lagoon

@haylsaAdd this to your bucket list! ##pinklakeaustralia ##pinklakeinaustralia ##australiatravel ##bucketlistplaces♬ original sound – Hayley Andersen

TikTok appearing to be the new Lonely Planet… where else to go for more inspiration but there?

Travel blogger Hayley Andersen has implored followers to add this one to their bucket list, and we can see why.

The pink lake draws visitors from all over the world with its vivid waters. It’s 515km north of Perth, and near the picturesque fishing town, Port Gregory.

According to Australia’s Coral Coast, “The lake is at its most vivid when the sky is clear and the sun is overhead. It’s recommended that you visit between 10am and 2pm, when the sun is high – this will bring out the most impressive shades.”

“Cloudless days also give the most impressive results, as heavy cloud cover blocks sunlight and can sometimes make the lake look paler.”

Ormiston Gorge

@kendallandglennAdd this to your list 🧡 ##northernterritory ##travelaustralia ##outbackaustralia♬ Twilight – Spencer Hunt

“Would you believe us if we said this was in the middle of the Outback?” travel bloggers @kendallandglenn ask their followers.

This spot is a favourite of the MacDonell Ranges, along with Redbank Gorge.

Olivia Snell – who is currently travelling around Australia in her campervan @murphythemercedes – told DMARGE: “Upon heading to the NT we also thought the Red Centre was going to be just that, red and dry. It was on our road trip for Coober Pedy to Alice Springs that we commented on how green the area was.”

“We were both shocked at how much greenery and water surrounded the city but ultimately thought that was just the city. It was when we started exploring the MacDonnell Ranges that we realised that this place is so much more than just red and dry.”

Fairy Pools Noosa

@kobajourneyCrystal clear ##fyp ##travel ##queensland ##swimminghole ##traveltiktok ##summertime♬ Can We Kiss Forever? – Kina

Noosa’s fairy pools are some of the most photogenic in the country – and the above video, by @kobajourney, provides yet further proof of why people are obsessed with them.

Though some users warned of “blue ringed octopus” sitting at the bottom (and rogue waves) and the bored teenagers sitting around it, spoiling the serenity, it’s still a cool spot.

Noosa Heads, where the Fairy Pools are located, is just a 35-minute drive from the Sunshine Coast airport.

Cape York

One of those things seems to be on everyone’s bucket list, Cape York is a survival mission and a pilgrimage all in one. You need a sturdy 4WD, a couple of weeks and a good guide (or some skills of your own) to make it to Australia’s Northernmost point, located in Queensland.

Flaherty’s Beach

Flaherty’s beach may be freezing compared to the Maldives, but it still makes for some cool photos.

Alana McDonald, one half of travel duo @laplivin, last year shared with DMARGE some of her favourite Victorian and South Australian hideaways for pretending you are in the Maldives, and Flaherty’s made the cut.

“Wilson’s Prom, Rapid Bay, Flaherty’s Beach, Daly Head.”

As we established in April, Bendalong Point is not the Maldives…. But it’s a damn nice place to visit while Australia’s borders remain shut. And it’s just 3 and a bit hour’s from Sydney.

Jerome Webzanet, whose photo can be seen above, visited Bendalong in February. Jerome told us Bendalong was “a little piece of heaven on earth.”

World’s Most Desirable Lamborghini Pops Up For Sale In Queensland
World’s Most Desirable Lamborghini Pops Up For Sale In Queensland

Lamborghini is the ‘bedroom poster’ brand. Ferraris and Mercs and Aston Martins might all be great but there’s simply no other marque that has the same sort of stylistic, dramatic flair that Lamborghini has. And their most radical, most exceptional design ever has to be the Countach.Produced from 1974 to 1990 and named after a Piedmontese swear word, the wedge-shaped supercar remains one of the most distinctive pieces of industrial design ever devised. It’s the sort of bonkers, aggressively bizarre car that carmakers just don’t really make anymore.Lamborghini recently made headlines with their announcement that they’re reviving the Countach name for a limited-production hybrid-electric model called the Countach LPI 800-4. While the new model shares much of the original’s visual cues and is even powered by a later iteration of the venerable Lamborghini V12 found in the original (albeit with a much bigger displacement and accompanied by an electric motor), many revheads are calling the new Countach ‘not a real Countach’.We’re not here to dive into that debate. What we are here to do is highlight an incredibly rare and virtually pristine example of an original Countach that’s on sale in Australia right now: one that comes with an interesting backstory and that might just be the most desirable Countach in the world.

The NACA ducts and scissor doors make the Countach look like some sort of ground-based fighter jet. Indeed, the 25th Anniversary Edition benefits from a considerable restyling job done by Horacio Pagani, founder of the Pagani car brand. Image: Oldtimer Australia
A top-flight 25th Anniversary Edition model from the final year of production, this rosso example with panna interior, despite its low mileage, has had a hell of a journey before making its way to Brisbane, where it’s currently on sale.“This Lamborghini Countach was destined for the Australian market, however, at the very last moment it was diverted to Brunei where it became part of the Royal family’s private collection,” seller Oldtimer Australia relates.

“Due to the secrecy surrounding the royal family in Brunei, not much is known about the car’s early history, however, it is fair to say the car was sparingly used if at all…

“The car was gifted to a close friend of the royal family who first registered it on the 18th December 1997 as BAC4902. There are records on file showing the car remained registered in Brunei until 2004. The car then ended up in a storage facility and unfortunately it wasn’t well looked after.”The Sultan of Brunei and his family used to own one of the most lavish private car collections on the planet, with over 2,500 vehicles worth billions of dollars. The Sultan seems to have had a particular interest in Lambos: he also used to own the only ever ‘estate’ version of the famous Lamborghini LM002 SUV, better known as the ‘Rambo Lambo’.RELATED: World’s Coolest Classic 4WDs You Could Ever OwnThis Countach then made its way to the USA in 2016 after being auctioned off (the royal family were forced to sell most of their cars after falling into financial ruin), and then made its way to its originally intended home – that is, Australia – in 2018.

The definition of clean. The Countach’s interior is a cool place to be, but the car’s steeply raked windscreen, wide stance and poor visibility make it a really difficult car to drive. But who cares? It’s a Countach. Image: Oldtimer Australia
“The owner then started the journey to completely restore this Countach to its former glory,” the seller continues. A Lamborghini enthusiast and former Lamborghini employee, no expense was spared reviving the classic supercar.“The photos on file show this was by no means an easy project. When the car was dismantled it became apparent the long-time storage in Brunei had not done it any favours.”

“The Countach body is mounted on a complex space frame chassis that is prone to rust. It was immediately apparent that this car had some rust in the chassis so the body was removed and the chassis restored.”

As well as a complete cosmetic restoration both externally and internally, “the car was totally stripped mechanically and everything was rebuilt as required… Everything was stripped, new gaskets & seals were used throughout and all ancillaries were overhauled.”RELATED: World Famous Classic Porsche Restorer Finally Coming To AustraliaThe restoration speaks for itself. The car looks essentially brand-new: even the engine bay looks good enough to eat out of. In short, it’s one of the nicest examples of the best production Countach ever made and it’s just so unbelievably cool that we’re salivating just at the thought of it. Mamma mia

The 25th Anniversary Edition was the fastest variant of the Lamborghini Countach, boasting a fuel-injected 5.2L V12 good for 335kW, a 0-100km/h time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 295 km/h. Image: Oldtimer Australia
Out of a total production run of 1,983, only 67 Countaches were ever made in right-hand drive, and only a fraction of those have ever made their way Down Under; none with this combination of exterior and interior, and certainly none with quite as interesting of a backstory.RELATED: World’s Oldest Ferrari ‘Barn Find’ Uncovered In Australia… & It’s Bloody BeautifulThe price? 629,950 of your finest Aussie dollars. Hardly cheap, but what Lamborghini is? Consider this, too: Lambo’s current V12 flagship supercar, the Aventador, starts at $789,425, and as cool as the Aventador is, this Countach is cooler. Even more pertinently, the new Countach LPI 800-4 is selling for just under $3.6 million. Why pay more for the homage when you could just get the real thing?Check out this truly unique vehicle on Oldtimer Australia’s website or on Carsales.

‘The Best Of The Best’: The Smartest Rolexes To Collect In 2021
‘The Best Of The Best’: The Smartest Rolexes To Collect In 2021

Rolex, the world’s most successful watch manufacturer and most famous luxury brand, has been producing timepieces for well over a century. In that time, they’ve come out with dozens of models and literally thousands of different references, spanning from tool watches like the anti-magnetic Milgauss to dress watches like the Cellini King Midas.Virtually anything sporting a Rolex badge is hot property… But not all Rolexes are made equal. Some models and references are naturally more desirable than others – indeed, even within references, there’s a hierarchy of collectability that dedicated Rolex collectors (of which there’s quite a few) get hot under the collar over. With new Rolexes harder to get your hands on than hen’s teeth right now, many watch fans have been inspired to look to vintage or discontinued references of popular Rolex models to get their ‘Rollie’ fix. Which raises the question: what references should an aspiring (or even veteran) Rolex owner look for when shopping for the Crown’s most popular models? To answer that question, DMARGE spoke with Paul Altieri, the founder and CEO of Bob’s Watches – one of the world’s largest and most respected online watch exchanges and Rolex specialists – to get his take on what the best references are for three of Rolex’s most iconic models.

Rolex Submariner

Image: Bob’s Watches
First up, we have the Submariner: arguably Rolex’s most famous model and in many ways, the archetypal wristwatch full stop. At the time of its launch in 1953, it was one of the first-ever modern dive watches and remains one of the most popular dive watches on the market (even if it’s been superseded on a technical level by other watches such as Rolex’s very own Sea-Dweller or modern dive computers).Altieri argues that the reference to collect is the ref. 14060/14060M, a reference he termed “the last of the best” in this brilliant article. Produced between roughly 1990 and 2010, these references sit in a real sweet spot that makes them perfect for daily wear as well as a convincing investment/collection opportunity. To broadly summarise Altieri’s article, newer Submariner references are much chunkier than the classic references – in line with the modern taste for larger watch sizes – and their Cerachrom bezels won’t age and develop a patina like older references’ aluminium ones. On the other hand, truly vintage references lack many of the modern creature comforts later references benefit from, such as sapphire crystal glass, unidirectional bezels, and advances in movement technology.RELATED: Heartwarming Moment Man Discovers Staggering Value Of Late Father’s Rolex SubmarinerThe 14060/14060M is already well-known to collectors, but Alteri expanded upon his article exclusively with DMARGE, explaining that there’s actually even more to it – there’s a “best of the last of the best” that collectors should look out for:

“Early variants of the Submariner 14060 still used tritium for lume, which really adds to the vintage appeal of the watch – especially if it’s developed a warm patina. Dials with tritium are denoted by ‘Swiss-T<25’ text below the 6 o’clock marker. Rolex eventually switched to modern Super LumiNova during the production of the Submariner 14060/14060M.”

Rolex GMT-Master

Image: Alex Pig
Next up we have the GMT-Master. Visually similar to the Submariner, the GMT-Master was designed for the skies, not the seas. Designed in collaboration with Pan American Airways for use by their pilots and navigators, it first hit the market in 1954 – its Pan Am-inspired red and blue bezel since garnering the nickname ‘Pepsi’ by the watch community. In the early 1980s, the Rolex GMT-Master II was released, although production of the original GMT-Master continued alongside it until 1999. The original black and red bezel of the GMT-Master II has been nicknamed the ‘Coke’, although Rolex now manufactures GMT-Master IIs with the GMT-Master I’s original ‘Pepsi’ bezel.RELATED: ‘Counterintuitive’ Rolex Aftermarket Trend Renews Age-Old American RivalryThis is all some important context for understanding why Altieri’s pick for the must-have GMT-Master reference, the ref. 16700, is worthy of your attention.“Rolex produced the GMT-Master 16700 from the late 1980s until the late 1990s. As the very last GMT-Master model ever made, the ref. 16700 is truly one of the ‘last of the best’ Rolex watches,” he explains.

“The watch combines fantastic classic design traits such as aluminum bezels, lug holes in the cases, and tritium on the dial (until about 1997) with modern touches like scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and an updated movement.”

“Although the ref. 16700 is exclusively available in stainless steel, there are two bezel colourways (blue and red ‘Pepsi’ or all-black) and two bracelets (Oyster or Jubilee) to choose from, which makes it a fun Rolex reference to collect.”

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

Image: Hashtag Watch Company
Finally, we have the Daytona: Rolex’s only chronograph and the focus for some of the most valuable Rolexes in existence, such as the famous ref. 6239 “Paul Newman”. First introduced in 1963, any Daytona is hard to get one’s hands on – but there’s still good buying to be found, if you know where to look.RELATED: ‘Sporty’ Watch Selling Trick Can Make You Thousands“Any stainless steel Daytona chronographs, whether vintage four-digit references, Zenith El Primero-based ones from the eighties and nineties (ref. 16520) or those that run on the in-house made Rolex Caliber 4130 (ref. 116520 and 116500) will always be highly collectible Rolex watches due to their immense popularity,” Alteri explains.“However, a particularly interesting model to consider is the two-tone Daytona ref. 16523 from the 1990s. Not only does this Rolex chronograph combine stainless steel and 18k yellow gold but it also houses Rolex’s first automatic chronograph calibre, which was based on the famed Zenith El Primero movement.

“Rolex ‘Zenith’ Daytona models are a favourite among collectors but the two-tone versions are often overshadowed by the full steel or full gold variants.”

“If you’re a fan of two-tone Rolex sports watches, the Daytona ref. 16523 is one worth looking at as it’s still quite undervalued in the current market compared to other Daytona references from the same decade.”

Check out the 2021 Daytona’s meteorite dial [Watch Below]

Of course, buying a vintage or discontinued watch comes with its own challenges. Provenance aside, even the most immaculately kept watch will require maintenance of some sort – and you can’t expect an older reference to necessarily keep up with the performance of a modern Rolex, for example.Still, if you’re looking for something a little different – or just can’t stand the idea of having to wait years for a new Rolex – consider these prime references from Rolex’s most popular models.

David Goggins Shares The Secret To Being Always Motivated
David Goggins Shares The Secret To Being Always Motivated

David Goggins is not known for moderation. He’s known for brutal truths. Tough talk. Big goals. Some reckon the ultra-endurance athlete and former Navy SEAL goes too far – that his grand statements could inspire people to do things that might injure themselves, rather than benefit them in the long run (something I recently put to the test personally).Others worship at the 46-year-old’s cult, lapping up motivational videos one after the other on Instagram. To that end, if you are in need of a little masochism to get your backside off the sofa and out the door (or into that icebath) look no further than the following Goggins video, posted early this morning (AEST).

Watch David Goggins reveal his secret to always being motivated below.

If you’re worried Goggins is exaggerating, remember – it’s about the symphony, not the notes (and also, yeah, take it with a grain of salt and some professional advice before applying to your own life or trotting off to run an ultra marathon or something).“Negotiating with yourself is the root of all evil. It’s a fucking cancer,” Goggins wrote.“If you are a person who wakes up everyday wondering why you are in the same position you have been in for years, I can almost guarantee you it is because you were in the negotiation phase of your life for too long.”This rant was inspired, Goggins said in the video, by a meeting with an old friend who was amazed Goggins was able to keep up the same intense fitness routine he had 20 years ago, and asked him how he did it (the answer? “I don’t negotiate with myself”).“Life requires an abundant amount of action,” Goggins wrote in the caption of the video. “There is no action taken in the negotiation and explaining away phase.”“Let me explain to you how this works – when it’s early and you don’t want to get up, you wake the fuck up! When you don’t want to go to run, you put your shoes on and go run regardless if it is hot, cold, windy, snowing, etc.”“If you just got home from school and are having a hard time with a particular subject, you sit your ass down and start studying that very subject again. If you are an athlete and you just can’t hit the shot, after practice, you pick the ball back up again until you get it.”“These examples are people who don’t negotiate with themselves. This shit can be exhausting. Even more than exhausting, it can be frustrating and mind-numbing. The amount of work and effort required can be overwhelming which is why the majority of us love to negotiate our goals and ‘explain away.'”“Explain away is very simple – if you have kids and they eat shitty food, you will say you eat shitty food because they eat shitty food. If you have a spouse who doesn’t work out, you will use your spouses’ lazy ass as the explanation for your laziness.”“Some of you make yourselves feel better by telling yourself that people in better life situations than you didn’t have the same challenges and problems that got you stuck in the negotiation/explain away phase. Sorry to tell you, most of them did, they just navigated them better than you.”

“Instead of negotiating in life, learn to navigate it!”

Many users chimed in claiming to have been inspired by the post. One user wrote: “When I think about being soft, I recite all the gogginisms and I get back on the fucking log of life and carry that damn thing with pride.”Another said: “It’s insane to expect a better result when all you are doing is aiming without firing.”Another proudly shared a feat of their own: “Ran a marathon today David.”One user admitted they “literally talked myself out of going to gym this morning” before saying it would “never [happen] again.”Another wrote: “It has to become ‘a must’ not ‘a should'”.This “not negotiable” message is one many influential figures – from renowned self-help coach Tony Robbins to podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan – have spruiked. As we wrote recently, it can be very helpful to treat your workouts a bit more like work – scheduling them into your calendar as if they were meetings and sticking to them with the glue-like pegament.Food for thought.

Roger Federer Delivers The News No One Ever Wanted To Hear
Roger Federer Delivers The News No One Ever Wanted To Hear

20-time grand slam winner Roger Federer is one of the greatest tennis players – and athletes – of all time. He’s also one of the classiest, on numerous occasions impressing fans without even picking up a racket. As one of the sport’s most well-loved greats, it is with great sadness that the internet has received his latest update.Federer took to Instagram this morning with a one minute and thirty seven second video explaining “what’s been going on since Wimbledon.”Federer told followers he has elected to undergo yet another knee surgery in order to look after his health, and in order to give himself a glimmer of hope of returning to the tour “in some shape or form.”

Watch Federer explain his decision to get surgery in the video below.

For those that stubbornly hoped to see him continue to compete as per usual – to continue to defy time – this is heartbreaking, if not entirely unexpected. News no one wanted to hear. There is a bit of hope though.Federer said:“It’s not been simple. I’ve been doing a lot of checks with the doctors as well on my knee, getting all the information as I hurt myself further during the grass court season at Wimbledon… it’s just not the way to go forward so unfortunately they told me for the medium to the long term to feel better I will need surgery.”

“I decided to do it.”

“I will be on crutches for many weeks and then also out of the game for many months so that’s going to be difficult of course in some ways. But at the same time I know it’s the right thing to do because I want to be healthy.”“I want to be running around later as well again and I want to give myself a glimmer of hope also to return to the tour in some shape or form.”Federer underwent two knee surgeries in 2020. He played only six times that year. In 2021 Federer has only played 13 matches, having already pulled out of the Tokyo Olympics to rest his knee.

Some commentators and journalists have speculated this could be the end of Federer’s competitive career.

“I am realistic – don’t get me wrong,” Federer added in his update video.“I know how difficult it is at this age… now to do another surgery and try it but I want to be healthy and I will go through the rehab process with a goal while I’m still active which I think is going to help.”He then ended with a big thank you for the messages for his incredible fans (“you always think of me”) telling them that mentally he is feeling ok, and that he appreciated their messages of support.

“I’ll update you as I move along with my rehab.”

Instagram account @atptour wrote in the comments section: “Wishing you a speedy recovery, Roger! We hope to see you back on the tour again soon.”All our best hopes and wishes the champ makes a full recovery. How else is he going to win one more grand slam and nose once again ahead of Nadal and Djokovic (who are currently tied with him on 20 major wins)?

Michael B. Jordan Confirms This Summer’s Comfiest Menswear Trend

This world we live in is a complicated one, but there are some rock-solid constants everyone can have faith in. Pizza is good. Mosquito bites are bad. If you want to know how to dress as a man, look at Michael B. Jordan. The 34-year-old actor and so-called “sexiest man alive” (according to People magazine, at least) has a real knack for dressing stylishly. He’s always got his finger on the pulse when it comes to the most innovative new style trends but he has a certain sense of tact; a je ne sais quoi about how he jumps into them.In short, the man has taste – so when you see him rolling around the streets of Los Angeles wearing a colourful, short-sleeve knitted cardigan, you know it’s exactly the right time to bite the bullet and get one for yourself.Out for dinner on Friday night, the Black Panther star paired the colourful cardy with some dark pink chinos, an archival Piaget Polo dress watch with an onyx dial, and a pair of Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Lows: an eclectic yet surprisingly dapper outfit that we’re sure would get passersby swooning just on sight.

But it seems in recent years it’s moved from seriously uncool to seriously ironic to seriously unironically cool.Much of that has to do with the influence of musicians such as Tyler, the Creator – who’s a noted fan of all things kitsch – and more recently, Justin Bieber, who was also spotted last week rocking a rather lairy cardy out in LA. Maybe there’s something in the water?RELATED: Justin Bieber Raids Your Grandma’s Closet For His Latest Summer FitWhile cardigans are probably a bit too warm to wear in the height of the Australian summer, a short-sleeve cardy might actually work quite well right now Down Under, as we move out of winter and into spring. That said, we’re not sure if it’s a look that everyone can pull off with the same amount of panache as our man Michael B… But it’s a fun (and very comfy) warm-weather style trend that we’re glad to see taking off.
