The say taupe is very soothing. Well actually, that’s what Brad Pitt thinks and overnight he proved it with his latest sighting at the 76th Venice Film Festival in Italy.Decked out in a very casual look that’s fit for any dad during the balmy European summer, the 55-year-old actor took the lazy trusted combo of jeans and a t-shirt before sprinkling some of his own magic. All that was require to pull it off? Headwear, sunglasses and a bit of wrist candy. Being in darned good shape at that age also helps.Pitt is rather known for his baggy dress sense and it was no different on the waterways of Venice on this particular occasion. A simple taupe crew neck t-shirt was paired to regular fit black jeans alongside crispy white loafers. A flat cap added a bit of European flair whilst the sunglasses were the same ones that Pitt rocked to the Cannes Film Festival a month ago in the form of Garrett Leight’s Calabar sunnies.
Completing the look on one hand was beaded jewellery whilst the other had Breitling’s latest Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Norton edition wrapped around it with a matching steel bracelet. The whole look might be light on styling when it comes to effort but it’s a good lesson in what a few minor additions can do to an otherwise boring look. Dad hack unlocked. And never forget to throw in a nice light coloured jacket in hand.

Ferrari sales are nothing new around town but when it’s a car model that hails from one of the most iconic buddy cop movies of the 80s, it’s worth a good squizz. What you see before you is a low mileage 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS in proper Rosso Corsa red located in Sydney, Australia. The price? A very cool AU$245,995. Given that this isn’t the most popular Ferrari of that decade, some may be wondering why it’s such a big deal. Firstly, shame on you. Secondly, it was made famous in the opening scene of ‘Beverly Hills Cop II’ as Axel Foley’s rental car which he used to conduct “deep-deep undercover” work. You can watch that in the clip below. The scene which features the Ferrari was an iconic 80s montage in itself, showing off Murphy’s on-screen charisma at the peak of his career whilst lauding frivolous servings of global warming, guns, aviators and power suits. What a time to be alive.Quick disclaimer: this is not the actual car Murphy drove, just the same model he drove in the film. That aside, the car here is a Targa variant of the 328 GTS that was delivered brand new to Sydney back in November 1988 via Scuderia Veloce Motors Ferrari. It features a 3.2-litre V8 engine behind the driver’s seat which is good for 270HP at 7,000rpm alongside a 0 – 100km/h time of 5.5 seconds. The transmission was also 5-speed manual, an appointment no modern Ferraris have today alongside period-correct pop-up headlights. With it’s black leather interior from factory and immaculate condition overall with just 34,000km on the clock, this is one prancing horse you’ll want in your collection. Head over to the Classic Throttle Shop now.

We’d all like a prizefighter’s body – but it’s their mentality that will net you glistening abs. Case in point: Mr Robert Whittaker, a true fighter, who represents Australia (and New Zealand) on the world stage, and UFC Middleweight Champion soon to defend his title against interim belt holder Israel Adesanya. While we have previously interviewed Whittaker on how to get a fighter’s physique, that’s not what today is about; it’s about admiring the way Whittaker thrashes the gym like it was a punch drunk welterweight. And maybe giving it a brief try (with a bucket and mop on hand). From the beginning of the year when he was still recovering from a hernia (and yet still hitting the weights with more motivation than most of us on a good day) to recent months’ more in form posts, Whittaker’s workouts will leave you sore and in awe.
From cardio, to strength and conditioning, the UFC star has all bases covered.

The most impressive, however, in our eyes, is a workout compilation he posted to Instagram on the 19th of July, which features everything from a light aerobic warm-up to six-plate strong squats, sumo walks (with a giant medicine ball), bench pressing and one-arm dumbbell rows. Not to be outdone, he also pushed his mates around the gym on a makeshift sled and did some weighted pull-ups.

Impressive, no? But with a renowned coach (and exercise physiologist) like Justin Lang, we’d expect nothing less.In any case, his next fight is on October 6th, against Israel Adesanya, interim belt holder, who is hoping to take Whittaker’s Middleweight Champion title at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium in what Fox Sports have said: “could be the biggest fight in Australian sports history.”Interested? Read what Whittaker told ESPN when asked about the upcoming fight.“Israel doesn’t like getting hit and he’s very, very hittable… That’s it. I hit hard. I like hitting people. I can get in and I can do the damage. I can do the work. If he can weather the storm and take my shots and survive five rounds and counter and do everything he did with Gastelum [the fighter Israel last defeated], then congratulations to him, he’ll get the win.”
“But I don’t think he’s going to. I’m a different fighter than Gastelum. I bring much more heat. I hit harder, I hit faster, I gonna come with a new level of intensity he’s not used to.”
Fighting talk.

It’s not a sexy-awkward goodbye: it’s worse. In fact, it may prevent you from ever reaching this stage with your linen-displacement buddy. However, to the dismay of desperate daters worldwide, “cocktailing” seems here to stay.
But what the heck is it?
While it is technically the evolution of mansplaining – an older phenomenon – “cocktailing” is an even more frustrating version, adapted for a digital age of bad hookups and worse Mojitos – and can be suffered by any gender.
It’s also the only thing worse than an over-salted Margarita: sitting at a sub-par restaurant, listening to your date talk about themselves, not being asked a single question about yourself, and stewing in your own frustration like a watery Negroni.
Also – as the response to New York artist Samantha Rothernberg’s recent depiction of “cocktailing” revealed – the trend is making people (particularly women) more selective about the number of first dates they go on.
View this post on Instagram
“First dates are always a gamble,” the social illustrator captioned the post, alluding to the time-wasting of this dick move du jour.
In response, she received a number of comments from women who had suffered a similar fate. From “so on point” to “nothing worse than wasting a full face of makeup on a lame date,” it appeared the sentiment resonated with the much of her audience.
Some even took her satire and raised it.
“Uhhh I’m not the kind guy that talks about bitcoin it’s a practically dead cryptocurrency ethereum is more current and in demand when I was interning in barthelona we discussed this at length I can understand if you aren’t following it’s really hard haha tell me if you need me to slow down haha.”
The conversation then took a turn for the educational, with one man asking how he could avoid being an accidental Cocktailer: “[Is it] by asking if you know about whatever first? Or by assuming you know already? That could be rude too…so what should we hope for? Obvi I hate this as well but I’m trying to think of solutions. Pls help ladies.”
In response, another commenter said, “If you realize that the conversation is one-sided, it’s not a good sign… Just make sure there’s a give and take, back and forth, conversation and you’ll probably be in the clear.”
Another suggested, “Just say ‘do you know what that is because I only found out last week’, you know, make it a joke.”
The discourse then went full circle, with comments like, “ok, no more bars for first dates. From now on, you each grab your shredded cheese, your dog, and whatever booze you have around, and meet up at the park,” rolling in.
What everyone seemed to forget, however, was that there is a crucial difference between mansplaining and “cocktailing,” which is that – although men are still the primary culprits – “cocktailing” can happen to anyone.
As “cocktailing”, at root, involves stewing in your own frustration as your date blathers on about themselves, without asking a single question about you, this is an indignity introverts at every point on the XY spectrum suffer on a regular basis.
The worst part about it all is that whether you are the “cocktailer” or the “cocktail-ee,” you both lose out, because – unless the “cocktail-ee” suddenly develops an unusual amount of tolerance, or the “cocktailer” suddenly develops self-awareness – you’ll both go home wondering, “What the hell is wrong with people?”
In other words: you’re both (somewhat) guilty.
The takeaway? Keep an ear out for a lopsided conversation. If you’re the extrovert; shut up. And if you’re the introvert; speak up – maybe your date is just not as comfortable with radio silence as you.

Skarsgard junior is back and this time he’s ditched the clown suit for fresh threads on the red carpet.Bill Skarsgard, the younger brother of Alexander Skarsgard was out promoting ‘IT — Chapter II’ overnight in Los Angeles but it was the 29-year-old’s triple button suit that caught our attention. As the guy responsible for scaring audiences as the child-devouring Pennywise, Skarsgard sure scrubs up alright. Here’s how he did it.Pinstripes. More specifically stripes on stripes is how Skarsgard’s gun stylist Illaria Urbinati described the look she went for. The outfit was all flair starting with a Burberry pinstripe suit featuring a very unique triple button jacket paired to a pinstripe shirt with contrasting collar and a white pinstripe tie. The generous pinstripes of the look flowed right onto an IWC Schaffhausen Ingenieur Automatic timepiece with the stainless steel bracelet switched out for a classic black leather strap. Footwear meanwhile was handled with a sleek pair of Christian Louboutin boots in black leather.
Here’s a closer look at that fine IWC timepiece which retails for $5,500 (AU$8,000). Personally we’re a fan of the leather strap on this black-dialled timepiece as well.
Keen to see more of Skarsgard in unconventional clothing? You’ll need to see him in full killer clown guise when the film opens this coming month alongside another of our stylish favourites, James McAvoy.

Roger Federer can do no wrong. His 2018 switch from Nike to Uniqlo, however, left many scratching their heads.
While Federer’s people cited Uniqlo’s “flexibility” and “support” as understandable reasons for the twilight-years switch, the decision always seemed a little off for such an otherwise stylish gent.
Case in point: even though Roger appears to have received a hefty bump in salary from the Japanese clothing manufacturer, they are clearly not in the same league as Nike when it comes to design.
For years, Roger has always been the best-dressed man on the court. Fit, colour, style: you name it. The man not only impressed with his game, but with this unbeatable on-court flair. Unfortunately, the days of watching Roger and Rafa go head to head in over the top contrasting fluorescent Nike tennis kits are no more.
We now have sensible Uniqlo approved Roger San.
This year’s US Open has seen old mate Roger step onto the court wearing what can only be described as part tennis pro and part priest. The black and white ensemble features a most unique band collar shirt completed with white piping details.
How can this be? Compared to Roger’s usual pizzazz from the 2015 US Open (or any other open), it was quite a dull affair.
Or perhaps this teal and trademark pink.
For now, we can only hope that the 2020 Grand Slam season doesn’t see our Roger become the salaryman of the men’s tennis circuit.
