We all know ginger ale is an essential beverage to sip on during a flight (or if you don’t, you should). But did you know there is a food that can keep you feeling super fresh too? One that one flight attendant swears by.
Introducing: Robine Blickman. Robine is a flight attendant with a large TikTok following. During lockdown she posted a helpful video “for all our future travels” giving her 27.2k followers advice on how to stay more healthy while they travel.
“Today I’m going to share with you my top flight attendant tips to not feel as bloated as normal after a flight because let’s be honest, we all hate that feeling,” she said.
“Morning of the flight – hot water and lemon.” That was her first tip. So far so normal. But then things start to get weird.
Her next tip is to eat artichoke. Robine says she has them in tea form as well as pill form. She says: “It works so good.”
“I take it before my flight, during my flight, it doesn’t matter, it just works.”
Robine Blickman

News.com.au reports that “there is some science” behind Ms Blickman’s claim.
“Artichokes are a great source of fibre and can help with digestion,” the news outlet wrote.
Finally, Robine’s third tip is to drink celery juice mixed up with cucumber and lemon, and to “try to hold back on the coke and the juices; believe me they are the worst.”

The post Always Eat This Food On A Long Haul Flight, If You Want To Stay Fresh appeared first on DMARGE Australia.
So you’re off to the land of cheese and wine? Or maybe you’re going on a gastronomy tour of England’s warmest beer? You could even be heading to siesta-land for some well-earned tapas. Whatever it is: you want to book your trip wisely so that you have as much money possible to spend on the various museum, beach or pub-based debauchery you have planned. All without sacrificing too much legroom, of course. Is it possible? Well, everyone has their own limits as to how much physical discomfort they are willing to endure in order to save money. That’s why we compiled this list of airlines, explaining their pros and cons, and are leaving the judgement of which is right for you… well… up to you. So: these are the best economy experiences between Europe and Australia, using Sydney and London as reference points.
Emirates
Route
14 hour flight from Sydney to Dubai, followed by a layover, and a 7 hour flight from Dubai to London.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
32-34 inches.
Food and Drink
Global flavours, fresh ingredients, complimentary drinks, tends to be above average.
Price
From $1,300 return.
Aircraft
Airbus A380.
TripAdvisor Rating
3522 passengers rated their experience on this trip excellent, 1718 rated it very good, 836 rated it average, 425 called it poor, and 577 called it terrible.
Conclusion
Not the most budget friendly option out there, but you get one of the best entertainment systems, above average legroom and the layovers tend to be quicker (and the route much more direct) than the sketchy, “cheap as chips” options you find on Skyscanner at 1am.
Qatar Airways
Route
15 hour flight from Sydney to Doha, layover, 7 hour flight from Doha to London.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
31-33 inches (depending on which model aircraft you book).
Food and Drink
Like Emirates, Qatar’s meals and desserts are prepared with a focus on quality and freshness. Yes, it’s still airplane food, but they do try to inject a bit of flavour—and there’s a wide selection of beverages.
Price
From $1,200.
Aircraft
Airbus A380 800.
TripAdvisor Rating
98 people rated this trip excellent, 41 rated it very good, 21 called it average, 11 called it poor and 17 called it terrible.
Conclusion
Their cabin crew has been voted “best in the middle east” for seven consecutive years, and their prices tend to slightly undercut Emirates, so you could do worse than to book with Qatar.
Qantas
Route
Your first option is: 8 hours from Sydney to Singapore, a layover, then 14 hours from Singapore to London. Your second option is: a four hour domestic flight from Sydney to Perth, then a 17 hour mammoth (direct) flight from Perth to London.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
31 inches.
Food and Drink
At Qantas a welcome drink is offered after take-off, as well as continuous snacks and refreshments throughout the flight. You can pre-select your meal online before takeoff, or leave your fate in the hands of the Qantas chefs.
Price
From $1,350.
Aircraft
For Sydney to Singapore routes you’ll be on an Airbus A330-300, and for the longer flight from Singapore to London, the larger Airbus A380. For the other route (via Perth) an Airbus Industrie A330-200 takes care of the domestic Sydney to Perth leg, while a Boeing 787 is used for the international Perth to London leg.
Tripadvisor Reviews
For international flights via Singapore, Tripadvisor users rated the experience as following: 316 excellent, 305 very good, 207 average, 131 poor and 110 terrible. For international flights via Perth Tripadvisor users rated the experience as follows: 151 excellent, 117 very good, 63 average, 65 poor and 62 terrible.
Conclusion
With the introduction (a few years ago now) of Middle Eastern airlines like Emirates, who often provide superior (or equally good) service for a cheaper price, Qantas has declined of late as traveller’s first choice for travelling to Europe. That said, it’s still a quality airline that just needs to give its price/value offering a bit of a tweak to keep up with the competition.
Etihad
Route
15-14 hours from Sydney to Abu Dhabi, a (hopefully) short layover, then a 7-8 hour flight to London.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
31-33 inches, depending on which Aircraft you’re on.
Food and Drink
If you have any special dietary needs, request your meal 24 hours in advance. Otherwise sit back and enjoy the stock standard fare, which isn’t too bad (for economy).
Price
From $1,200.
Aircraft
Either a Boeing 747 or an Airbus A380, depending on the route.
Tripadvisor Reviews
Tripadvisor ratings for this route are as follows; 618: excellent, 534: very good, 363: average, 218: poor, 330: terrible.
Conclusion
Similar price range and level of service to Qatar. Punch in your dates and see which of the two have a better deal.
Cathay Pacific
Route
9-10 hours from Sydney to Hong Kong, layover, then 12 hours from Hong Kong to London.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
32 inches.
Food and Drink
Standard economy fare, with an asian twist. Check out their sample menus here.
Price
From $1,200.
Aircraft
Either a Boeing 777-300ER or an Airbus Industrie A330-300.
Tripadvisor Reviews
Tripadvisor reviews of Cathay Pacific’s Sydney-London route via Hong Kong were as follows: 560 called it excellent, 588 said it was very good, 295 reckoned it was average, 122 called it poor and 121 said it was terrible.
Conclusion
A great option to consider if the 14 hour slog from Sydney to Dubai fills you with dread. But remember – there’s no cute 7 hour journey to top the trip off if you go via Hong Kong—it’s another 10 hours.
British Airways
Route
Sydney to Singapore: 8 hours. Layover: depends. Singapore to London: 14 hours.
Legroom (Seat Pitch)
31 inches.
Food and Drink
Naturally, your British Airways experience includes complimentary drinks and a sumptuous assortment of fine foods designed by world-renowned chefs.
Price
From $1,400.
Aircraft
Airbus A380, then a Boeing 777.
Tripadvisor Reviews
46 passengers called it excellent, 80 called it very good, 65 called it average, 41 said it was poor and 36 said their experience was terrible.
Conclusion
Because British Airways are known for their premium service, they often receive bad reviews because people’s expectations are so high, and because cheaper airlines have been slowly catching up in terms of service. Combine that with the changes they made to their Boeing 777’s, to fit more people, in order to keep up with the high density competition, and you might think the mighty BA has experienced a fall from grace. Rest assured though, they are still a damn good airline—you just might need a stiff G&T to cope with the price tag.

Any red-blooded revhead can’t help but feel sad when they see or hear of a nice car being destroyed. Take this Ferrari F40 that got wrapped around a road sign in Queensland. Just heartbreaking.
But there’s only one thing more heartbreaking than a rare supercar being destroyed, and that’s hundreds of rare supercars being destroyed all at once… Which is exactly what’s happening, right now, on a cargo ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Felicity Ace, a 650-foot-long car carrier that had left Germany last week and was scheduled to arrive in Rhode Island on the United State’s east coast on Wednesday, has since caught ablaze off the coast of the Azores, an island territory that’s part of Portugal, The New York Times reports.
While the Portuguese air force has been able to successfully evacuate the ship’s crew, the ship’s cargo – thousands of cars including expensive Porsches and Bentleys – seem to have been completely abandoned. This is why you have insurance, people.

The Drive has confirmed that the ship is carrying around 1,100 Porsches, 189 Bentleys and an unspecified number of Audis, with Volkswagen Group estimating the total number of vehicles on board to be close to 4,000 – that is to say, the Felicity Ace is at full capacity.
Porsche USA has already started to reach out to American customers to “note that certain specific vehicle configurations are being impacted by supply chain disruptions”, and have even explicitly shared that they “are aware of an incident aboard the Felicity Ace.” Volkswagen, too, has put out a press release acknowledging the fire.
RELATED: ‘Eye-Scarring’ Rare Vintage Porsche Might Be 2022’s Weirdest Car
Noted automotive journalist Matt Farah has also confirmed that a Boxster Spyder he ordered in August of last year is also on the boat – much to his chagrin.
I just got the call from my dealer. My car is now adrift, possibly on fire, in the middle of the ocean. https://t.co/Ge2DYk8IJ0
— Matt “I Park Cars” Farah (@TheSmokingTire) February 16, 2022
It’s still a mystery how the fire started, and it’s not clear how authorities plan on rescuing the Felicity Ace, but it’s a relief that there’s been no loss of life.
We shudder to think how many thousands of dollars worth of cars are going up in smoke, though. Virtually all Porsches start at AU$100,000, whereas Bentleys start at around AU$250,000. That’s over $47 million worth of Bentleys on the ship alone. Add in a few thousand Porsches and Audis and you might get close to half a billion dollars.
It doesn’t help that we’re in the middle of a new car shortage…
UPDATE 21/2: Looks like the Felicity Ace is still burning down. Firefighters are struggling to put out the blaze – in part because the big lithium-ion batteries in the electric vehicles on board are “keeping the fire alive”, Reuters reports. While it’s not clear whether electric car batteries sparked the fire, it’s a real headache, as traditional water fire extinguishers do not stop lithium-ion batteries from burning. The story continues here.

Even if you’re a full-time city-dweller, there are moments when you want to feel like an off-roading, rugged badass. That’s where the SUV comes in. But not the modern, plush SUVs designed by former Spice Girls – the real sport utility vehicles from the golden age of off-roading.These barebones, classic four-wheel-drives are simple, honest, tough and totally cool. See for yourself.
Mercedes-Benz G-Class (1979-present)
‘Mercedes’ and ‘macho’ aren’t normally words you put together, but the G-Class changed that in 1979. If a mad scientist developed a way to transform testosterone into a car, it would be this. Built to take over small countries, the über-cool G-Wagen (short for “Geländewagen”, literally “terrain vehicle”) is known for its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction.Impressively, the G-Class is still in production and is one of the longest produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Daimler’s history – these days, you can even get AMG and Brabus versions with big twin-turbo petrol V8s. But we prefer the older, more utilitarian G-Wagens. They’re far less “orange mocha frappucino”.RELATED: Decoding The Hidden Genius Behind Virgil Abloh’s Ghastly Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen Collaboration
Range Rover Classic (1969-1996)
Now in its fourth generation, the original Range Rover made its debut in 1970. Rover had been experimenting with a larger model than the Land Rover Series as far back as 1951, but the first Range Rover prototype wasn’t built until 1967.Unlike most other 4x4s at the time, the original Range Rover was designed to have a more luxurious focus with more car-like features – although it was still relatively basic. Nevertheless, it was a huge success, and quickly became the car of choice for the English aristocracy. Modern Range Rovers are insanely luxurious – but we have a soft spot for the boxy, less high-falutin’ Range Rover Classic. Plus you can get it as a two-door. Mad.RELATED: The Truth About Australia’s Most Vilified Motor Vehicle
Jeep CJ7 Laredo (1980-1986)
The Willys CJ (later the Jeep CJ or ‘Civilian Jeep’) was a civilian version of the famous Willys MB – the original ‘Jeep’ – from World War II. The first CJ prototype (the Willys CJ-2) was introduced in 1944. By the 80s, Jeep was up to the CJ7, which featured an optional new automatic all-wheel drive system called Quadra-Trac, an optional moulded hardtop and steel doors. The upgraded Laredo model featured highback leather bucket seats, a tilting steering wheel and an elaborate chrome package that included the bumpers, front grille, and mirrors. The CJ is fondly remembered as one of the best Jeeps ever made, and the Laredo was the one you wanted. Yeehaw.
International Harvester Scout (1961-1980)
The International Harvester Scout was a pioneering American off-road vehicle that, while obscure these days, was arguably the prototype for the modern SUV. The original Scout 80s were built between 1960 and 1965 were pretty primitive things – International Harvester was mostly known for making agricultural machinery, after all – but later iterations such as the Scout 800 and Scout II were very well equipped (you could even get a Scout II with an internal roll-cage and removable doors like a Jeep).High-riding, extremely capable and a little bit oddball, we think the Scout’s a ripper. They’re pretty rare though, so good luck finding one in the wild.
Suzuki Jimny LJ10 (1970-1981)
These days, it’s nigh impossible to get your hands on the new fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny – the things sell like hotcakes and the waiting lists are pretty hefty. All generations of the diminuitve 4×4 are pretty cool, but we think the very first Jimny, the LJ10, is worth shining a light on.RELATED: Australians Ditching Luxury SUVs For This Pint Sized Japanese AlternativeThe LJ10 has its roots in a small car company called the Hope Motor Company. Before being purchased by Suzuki in 1968, Hope produced a small number of 4×4 ‘kei’ cars (which receive certain tax privileges and other benefits in Japan) known as the ON360s. When Suzuki took over, they gave the ON360 a makeover with their own two stroke, two cylinder, 25-horsepower air cooled engine and the LJ10 was born. It was the first four-wheel drive kei car to enter series production and became Suzuki’s first global success, lending it name recognition and a foothold in markets worldwide.
Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 (1967-1980)
The Land Cruiser series is the longest running in Toyota history, and one of the most iconic 4WDs of all time. The Land Cruiser’s reliability and longevity have made it especially popular in Australia, where it’s the best-selling body-on-frame, four-wheel drive vehicle, and one of the most popular vehicles in the country full stop. The FJ55 is easily one of the funkiest Land Cruiser designs in the car’s long history. A 4-door station wagon version intended for sale in North America and Australia, the very 60s-looking beast was colloquially known as the ‘Moose’. It has also been referred to as a ‘pig’ or an ‘iron pig’. Why? We’re not exactly sure, but undoubtedly it had something to do with its much lauded off-road abilities.RELATED: Toyota Land Cruiser Blood Pact Shows How Crazy Australia’s Car Market Has Become
Ford Bronco Mk1 ‘Baja Bronco’ (1971)
No, we’re not talking about OJ Simpson’s getaway vehicle… The first-generation Ford Bronco, produced between 1966 and 1977, was a groundbreaking car that helped popularise recreational 4x4s as well as help define the modern SUV. Ford offered a huge number of variants and options for the first-gen Bronco back in the day – including snowplows and posthole diggers – but the ‘Baja Bronco’ is an especially tasty variant of the first-gen Bronco. After convincing Ford representatives to start a West Coast racing operation in 1950, race car builder Bill Stroppe elected to go off-road racing using Ford’s Bronco in the late ‘60s. By 1971, Stroppe Broncos had won both the Baja 500 and 1000, and Ford saw an opportunity to create a special Bronco for off-road enthusiasts. The Baja Bronco was supposed to be a “limited production duplicate” of Stroppe’s team cars. The most interesting upgrades to the Baja models were the automatic transmission and the power steering, neither of which were available on the regular Bronco in 1971.RELATED: The New Ford Bronco Is Finally Available In Australia Thanks To This Company
Land Rover Defender (1983-2016)
The Defender hardly needs an introduction. The original Land Rover Series was created in 1948 to serve the same general purpose as the American Jeep. The Defender followed on from the original Land Rover Series as the British firm’s utilitarian 4WD, and went on to have a similarly long production run. It’s well-loved by off-roaders, farmers and militaries around the world – including the Australian Defence Force, which developed its own variant, the Perentie, which used a Isuzu diesel engine. The Defender name has been revived with the new L663 model, but that car’s much more luxurious and performance-oriented than the original Defender, which enjoys an enormous cult following to this day. If you miss the old Defender, never fear: the upcoming INEOS Grenadier is set to pick up the Defender’s mantle. More on that here.RELATED: Land Rover’s Newest Defender Labelled ‘Pointless’ By World’s Top Motoring Journalist
Lamborghini LM002 (1986-1993)
Yes, believe it or not, Lamborghini made a 4WD SUV. The ‘Rambo Lambo’ was the civilian version of a military vehicle Lambo wanted to pitch to the US and others, and was the first four-wheel drive model manufactured by Lamborghini. The car’s famous owners include H.R.H. King Hassan of Morocco, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, Sylvester Stallone, Tina Turner and Eddie Van Halen.Quite a few infamous names also appear on the Lamborghini LM002 owners list, too, including Mike Tyson, Pablo Escobar, Muammar Gaddafi and Uday Hussein, whose LM002 was blown up by the US military in 2004 during a “test” to simulate the effects of a car bomb. Ludicrous stuff.RELATED: I Took A $400,000 Lamborghini SUV To A $2 Bunnings Sausage Sizzle & This Is What I Discovered
Fiat Nuova Campagnola (1974-1987)
If you find the idea of Lamborghini making a military vehicle hard to wrap your head around, maybe you’ll find the idea of Fiat making one a little easier to understand. Like many 4WDs, the Campagnola was inspired by the Willys Jeep, and saw service with the Italian military as well as many civilian buyers – but it never really took off outside of its home country. The second-generation Nuova (i.e. “New”) Campagnola represents the second generation of the light off-road vehicle produced by Fiat. Featuring a boxier, less Jeep-like appearance than its predecessor, the Nuova Campagnola is perhaps most famous as the Vatican City’s resident Popemobile. Indeed, it was in a Nuova Campagnole that Pope John Paul II was victim of an assassination attempt in 1981. That Campagnola is now in the “carriage museum” of the Vatican City.
Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution V55W (1997-1999)
You could argue that a 4WD from 1997 isn’t exactly a ‘classic’… And we’d counter that by saying you should stop being in denial about getting old – it crosses the 20 year mark, it’s a classic. It’s also a bloody bonkers car that we can’t believe mere mortals were allowed to buy.A road-legal homologation model produced by Mitsubishi so they could take on the Dakar Rally’s hard-fought T2 class, the ‘PajEvo’ is based on the second generation Pajero but had many features unique to the model, including a significantly bigger 3.5L V6 engine, skid plates, mudflaps, beefed-up suspension and diffs, as well as a very 90s body kit with huge fender flares and two rear spoilers. Approximately 2500 units were produced, virtually all of which were only sold in Japan. As it stands, the Pajero Evolution decimated its competition by winning their class and the entire race altogether, beating out much quicker opponents in the T3 class. These days, they’re rare as hen’s teeth, and for good reason: it’s a seriously impressive off-roader even by modern standards, and it looks sick. Good luck finding one outside of Japan, though.Read Next

Gentlemen, start your engines. We finally know when Season 4 of Formula 1: Drive To Survive will be released.
Netflix and Formula 1 have now announced that the documentary series’ highly anticipated fourth season will be released onto Netflix on the 11th of March; just nine days before the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix on March 20th.

Of course, F1: Drive To Survive Season 4 will recap the 2021 season and the 22-race title fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen; which Verstappen ultimately won.
A statement released by Netflix and Formula 1 says the fourth season will offer “unprecedented access” and “will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for victory in one of the sport’s most dramatic seasons to date.”

It’ll be interesting to see how F1: Drive To Survive’s new season will explore Verstappen’s win though, as the 2021 Formula One World Champion revealed in October last year he would not do any more interviews for the Netflix series.
Regardless, we can’t wait to see the inner workings and behind the scenes of the FIA Formula One World Championship when Season 4 of Formula 1: Drive To Survive drops on Netflix in just three weeks.

Conor McGregor has silenced his critics, who have been mocking him for his chicken legs, with an Instagram post that would put Robert Förstemann to shame.
The 33-year-old MMA fighter has been recovering from a brutal leg break in his July fight against Dustin Poirier last year. During the months he was unable to spar, Conor McGregor underwent a body transformation, leading some fans to joke he was coming back as a heavyweight.
Scott Reynolds, Fitness Director and Co-Founder of Combine Air told DMARGE McGregor’s transformation since July 2021 has been impressive, “to say the least,” adding that “his training has been limited while recovering from his injury.”
“His training since his injury would be a combination of strength training and healthy bulk eating. His only conditioning/fitness work would be on the bike at a lower intensity, therefore not generating too much calorie burn and holding more energy, which leads to the weight increase.”
Scott Reynolds
“His lower body has been impacted the most and is very noticeable with his muscle loss. Conor will only now just start to introduce light leg press, extension and curls, sled pushes, squats and deadlifts,” Reynolds told DMARGE in December.
“He has clearly focused on upper body strength. Movements like seated cable rows, bench press, military press and lat pulldowns. His weights would be heavy with rep ranges around 8-12 and sets of 4-5.”
Reynolds wasn’t alone in worrying about McGregor’s legs. Many Instagram users have taken great pleasure in reminding McGregor not to skip leg day, trolling McGregor for his posture (“why does he stand like that”) and mocking his pins.

In another video, McGregor can be seen strutting outside, checking his reflection in the window of one of his cars, and then strutting back to his bench press set up, inspiring one Instagram user to quip: “no wonder he keeps losing he does 5 reps and walks around for 15 minutes.”
Ouch.
McGregor has (we reckon) just put to bed the claims his legs aren’t big enough though, with a post entitled: “hotdogs or legs,” showing off some of the beefiest bratwursts we’ve ever seen.
People still took this piss though, with comments like “Conor Mclegor” and “Titanium hot dogs” rolling in.
“Open up Instagram to an Irish man’s feet. Time to close it.”
It seems Conor really can’t win. The best way he has of silencing the haters would be to clinch a fight.

One of the biggest watch releases of 2021 was IWC Schaffhausen’s refresh of their flagship Big Pilot’s Watch line. Dubbed the Big Pilot’s Watch 43, it’s the purest rendition of the iconic watch yet: bold, focused, finely crafted and deeply distinctive.
The new Big Pilot 43 has quickly proven to be a big hit with fans and has already taken the globe by storm… Fittingly, IWC Schaffhausen has celebrated the Big Pilot 43’s global acclaim with a rollicking global exhibition series, officially tagged #IWCOnTour. After making over 15 stops throughout Europe, the United States and Asia over the last 8 months, the roadshow has now finally made its way Down Under, landing in Australia’s style capital, Melbourne.
#IWCOnTour, which has taken over Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square, is quite unlike anything Australia’s ever seen. Interactive ehxibits, rare vintage watches, unique stories delivered by some of Australia’s most engaging creatives and athletes… Best of all, it’s completely open to the public – no invitation necessary.

As a nod to the Big Pilot 43’s utilitarian aesthetic, the expansive activation is housed in what looks like industrial shipping containers – but these boxy booths hide high-tech secrets. They tell the story of the Big Pilot Watch, evolving from a functional aviation timepiece to the cultural icon it is today, and how it’s inspired creators across the arts, fashion, photography, and design.
Global Formula One champion and brand ambassador Lewis Hamilton will feature alongside local brand friends including Emma McKeon, the most successful Australian Olympian of all time and Guy Sebastian, multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter on a ‘creator wall’ inside the exhibition.
The wall will showcase short videos – including a few produced in collaboration with DMARGE – telling the inspiring stories of these well-known faces and how the legendary Big Pilot’s Watch has accompanied each of them on their journey to success.
There’s also a showcase of historical Big Pilot watches that have flown in especially from the IWC Museum in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The exhibition includes the latest Pilot’s collection, consisting of the Big Pilot’s Watch 43 and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, alongside selected limited-edition pieces. It’s a dream come true for real watch nuts.

“We are delighted to host our first ever exhibition in Australia at Federation Square and let our guests experience the Big Pilot’s story in a fresh and exciting way. We look forward to seeing guests embark on this interactive experience and trying on some of IWC’s most celebrated watches,” Quentin Chalier, IWC’s Brand Manager Australia and New Zealand shares.
The #IWCOnTour roadshow is running from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th of February 2022 at Federation Square, and is open to the public from 12-5pm on Thursday and Friday, and 12-8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
If you can’t make it to Fed Square, IWC have also commissioned an impressive set of hand-painted murals showing off the new Big Pilot 43 in both Melbourne and Sydney, including a gigantic building-length mural on the corner of Collins St and Elizabeth St, as well as a mural on Gould St, a stone’s throw from Bondi Beach.
Find out more and check out IWC’s intriguing creator stories on their AU/NZ Instagram… And watch this space here at DMARGE, too.

Bali’s crackdown on misbehaving tourists continues. Last week police were called in to stop a private party hosted by expats at a villa in Bali during the island’s partial lockdown.
Indonesia, despite recently reducing the length of mandatory quarantine visitors must undergo to enter the country, is still battling COVID, this week breaking the daily COVID-19 record as its Omicron surge continues.
Authorities have reintroduced some limited social restrictions on Java and Bali in response.
Not everyone seems to be keen on following all the rules, however. On that note: a party hosted by Russian nationals in a villa was allegedly broken up by police in Pererenan, Mengwi, on Wednesday evening last week.
According to The Bali Sun, The Head of the Mengwi Police Department, Kompol Nyoman Darsana, confirmed that the police received a report about the party at 11:35 pm.
“We received a report from a resident who was disturbed by the loud music from the villa. When we arrived, we found out that it was actually a private party,” Kompol Darsana commented on Thursday.
Bali was on partial lockdown level 3 at the time.
The Bali Sun reports: “Nine Russian nationals were present at the party” and were politely asked to leave, without being given a sanction.
“The party disturbed the local residents and violated the public order,” he reportedly said, adding that it’s still okay to engage in social activities as long as you are not violating health protocols and don’t bother your neighbours.
According to the Australian Financial Review, Australians will be able to travel to Bali from March the 14th, 2022 (though new Omicorn developments could still disrupt this).
“For the time being, all fully vaccinated international passengers arriving in Bali must immediately spend five days at one of around 30 designated quarantine hotels, and produce a negative COVID test result before exiting,” the AFR reports.
The AFR added (in an article published on February the 15th): “The Indonesian government announced this week that from March 1, incoming tourists with a third booster shot can quarantine on arrival in one of more than 30 hotels for just two nights and three days, but must produce a negative test result before exiting their quarantine conditions.”

The critically acclaimed and Oscar-winning 1999 film, The Matrix – written and directed by Lana & Lilly Wachowski; known as ‘The Wachowskis’ – is considered one of the best sci-fi films of all time. The success of the first film led to two sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, which were also written and directed by The Wachowskis.
For years, Warner Brothers, the production and distribution company behind The Matrix trilogy, wanted to make another Matrix film but star Keanu Reeves was never interested and would only do another Matrix if The Wachowskis returned to, once again, write and direct. The actor told Empire:
“I would always go, ‘well are The Wachowskis involved?’ And then it’d be, ‘no’ and I would say, ‘well, [another Matrix film is] never going to happen’.”
However, when Lana Wachowski called Reeves and confessed she was thinking of doing another Matrix film, Reeves was ecstatic… and that phone call obviously resulted in The Matrix Resurrections gracing our screens last year in December.
Sadly, the fourth Matrix film received average reviews and just couldn’t live up to the golden standard set by the first film. The Guardian gave The Matrix Resurrections a dismal 2 out of 5 stars and declared that the film “doesn’t offer a compelling reason for its existence other than to gouge a fourth income stream from Matrix fans”. Ouch.

Perhaps the film garnered negative reviews because Lilly Wachowski didn’t work on the film; after their parents’ death, Lilly needed “time away from [the film] industry” whereas Lana threw herself into writing The Matrix Resurrections script.
Or perhaps, Lana Wachowski’s different approach to the fourth Matrix film – adding more humour and slightly taking the piss out of the first Matrix – was to blame. Although, if you ask Reeves this different approach was “great”.
“It was really, I thought, delightful… [having] more humour [in the film]. Lana Wachowski was also making fun of The Matrix as well, you know, which I thought was great.”
Despite the mixed reviews, Reeves would also happily return for a fifth Matrix as long as Wachowski writes and directs it.
“If she invites me again, I’m in.”
