Australia might be behind the rest of the world when it comes to electric vehicle adoption, but as EVs become more and more common on our roads, we’ll need to start thinking more seriously about how we adapt to these new types of cars – especially when it comes to charging them.
One of the biggest hurdles towards EV ownership for most Australians is ‘range anxiety’. Of course, the auto industry continues to make leaps and bounds when it comes to vehicle range, but the fact remains that there are shockingly few public EV chargers in Australia compared to other countries.
RELATED: The Longest Range Electric Cars Available In Australia
According to Savvy, as of September 2022, Australia currently has just over 3,000 EV public charging points (2531 standard AC, 470 supercharge DC) to cover 7.692 million square kilometres, with around 40% of all charging points in the country located in New South Wales.
It’s one of those ‘chicken or the egg’ situations. Motorists won’t buy EVs unless there’s enough charging infrastructure, and infrastructure won’t be built unless there’s enough demand to justify it… But this article isn’t about public EV chargers: it’s about private EV chargers. Specifically, EV chargers in apartment buildings.
A recent ABC News report reveals how shockingly few apartment buildings in Australia allow EV owners to charge their cars at home – and how the high cost of installation (and the glacially slow pace of most body corporate approvals) is making it exceptionally difficult for this problem to be solved.

It specifically highlighted the predicament of one EV owner, who demonstrated that because his apartment carpark lacked even a simple power outlet, the only way he could theoretically charge his car is by running a 100m cable from his living room’s power point, run it down his third level apartment’s balcony, and then into the building’s car park up to his Tesla – making him an “EV Rapunzel”.
In other countries like the United States, EV owners are already having to grapple with issues of ‘EV etiquette’ – such as when or if it’s acceptable to unplug someone else’s vehicle that’s charging in order to charge yours. Looks like the next EV etiquette debate will be about whether it’s acceptable (or even possible) to charge your EV in an apartment building.
RELATED: Australians May Soon Face Electric Car Charger Shortage
From October 2023, new federal policy means it will be mandatory that all new apartment blocks are built with the infrastructure to allow electric car charging… But there are already over 660,000 apartment buildings in Australia. Clearly more needs to be done to facilitate home charging for EV owners who don’t live in freestanding buildings.

It’s a tricky one, because at the moment at least, EV owners in Australia are statistically speaking quite a privileged minority. Less than 2% of all new vehicles sold in Australia right now are EVs and according to this 2021 Griffith University study, EVs are predominately bought by wealthy Australians (which is largely a result of how relatively unaffordable EVs are right now).
Moreover, only around 9% of the population live in apartment buildings. But as EVs become cheaper and more common – and more and more Australians start living in apartments as opposed to freestanding houses – this ‘EV rapunzel’ dilemma will only become worse. It’s actually a social equity issue.
“With urban consolidation and the cost of housing in Australia, many people are not actively choosing to live in apartments or to live in collective living situations,” Macquarie University professor of law, Cathy Sherry, tells ABC News.
“Older Australians and generation X baby boomers can afford their own houses. They’re living in freestanding houses. For younger people, very often the only form of affordable housing they can they can access either as as tenants or owners will be apartments.”
“And if we want them to have access to electric vehicles and to make their contribution to reducing climate change, then this most definitely is an equity issue.”

The following article was produced in partnership with TINCUP Mountain Whiskey.

What are the first things that come to mind when someone says, ‘American whiskey’? If you’re anything like us, you’ll probably think about big, bold bourbons being knocked back with cola in smoky downtown dive bars with a chugging electric guitar screaming away in the background.
But just as the United States is home to some of the biggest cities in the world, it’s also home to some of the purest and most natural landscapes on the planet – and it’s these beautiful surroundings that have helped create and shape TINCUP Mountain Whiskey, a whiskey created for the great outdoors and one of the most unique American whiskies to hit Australian shores.
TINCUP is inspired by, and owes its flavour to, the iconic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Its name honours Colorado’s mining pioneers and the tin cups from which they drank their whiskey – a time-honoured tradition you can take part in yourself with the bottle’s handy tin cup closure.
TINCUP is a blended whiskey unlike anything else on the market and appropriately, it doesn’t taste like anything else, either. It’s a blend of two American whiskeys: high rye bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, and Colorado single malt whiskey.

Once blended, TINCUP is cut with Rocky Mountain water and aged for a minimum of four years in charred American white oak barrels, which blesses it with smooth and bold rye spice, cinnamon and caramel flavours and delightful aroma notes of citrus, pepper and ginger.
The result is a truly innovative whiskey that’s as pure as the great outdoors yet as refined as a Rocky Mountain diamond. TINCUP’s high rye content makes it more assertive and flavourful than ordinary bourbon whiskeys, but with the smoothness of a good single malt.
Whether you’re looking for something complex and sophisticated to drink neat (just as the rugged Colorado miners of yore would have) or a versatile whiskey to create your favourite cocktails with, TINCUP is an exciting and multifaceted whiskey that’s sure to impress even the most traditional American whiskey lovers… Or sceptics.
Whether you’re a mountain man who can’t get enough of the great outdoors or a city slicker looking for a new go-to whiskey, we can’t recommend giving it a try enough.
Get your hands on a bottle of TINCUP Mountain Whiskey from Dan Murphy’s stores and online nationwide here.

Men, if you’ve come across this page then chances are you were looking for a beard roller, specifically, the best one money can buy right now. If you happened to have stumbled upon it, then you may be hoping to find an answer to “what is a beard roller?”. Well, we’re going to answer both these questions and more.
So, let’s start from the very beginning.
What is a beard roller?
A beard roller is quite literally the same as a derma roller. Derma rollers have been around for some time, but have recently found their way into the hands of men in an attempt to help promote beard growth.
A derma roller is used to perform a process called microneedling, which refers to the process of piercing your skin with small needles – usually made from stainless steel or titanium – to help promote the natural production of collagen in the skin.
The derma roller, then, is a roller that is covered in hundreds of these needles. Collagen is produced because the incredibly small holes you make in the skin using a beard roller forces your brain to think you’re injured, and so encourages collagen to reach the affected area to heal the holes.
It’s claimed that this extra production of collagen, coupled with the increase in blood flow to the affected area, will help to stimulate the growth of your facial hair.
How to use a beard roller?
To use a beard roller, you’ll want to roll it across your beard up to 10 times in all directions; left right, and down your neck. The natural sharpness of the needles should be able to penetrate the skin enough without you putting too much pressure on it. You definitely don’t want to press too hard. Remember, this is something sharp going into your skin, so the harder you press, the further in it will go.
Different beard rollers can have different size needles, too, so be sure to check the size of the roller you want to get. If the needles are on the larger side – around 0.5mm – then you only need to your beard roller once or twice a week. The larger size needles will naturally create larger holes, and so will require more time to repair.
However, some beard rollers can have smaller needles – around 0.25mm – and these are safer to use more often during a week.
Steps to use a beard roller
- Healthline suggests using a beard roller with fewer, rather than more needles when you first start out, as it will mean less chance of pulling the skin.
- Wash your face and beard before you start
- With the beard roller in your hand, roll it back and forth both horizontally, vertically and diagonally to ensure you cover the full surface area
- Apply just enough pressure to ensure the needles reach and slightly penetrate the skin. You can tighten your cheeks as you most likely would when shaving with a razor, to give the beard roller a firmer surface to roll over
- When you’re done, sanitise your beard roller with alcohol or a sanitising solution
- If you have any acne, it’s best to avoid using a beard roller until it’s cleared up. Running sharp needles across acne isn’t the best idea, as it could cause a spread of bacteria
Do beard rollers work?
In theory, yes. Microneedling has been found as a good method to help promote hair growth on the scalp, although specific research into the use of microneedling and its effectiveness for beard growth is a little thin on the ground.
You do also have to take into consideration your genetic makeup. If you’re a guy in his 30s who still can’t quite grow a fully-fledged beard, then a beard roller probably isn’t going to be your saving grace. If, however, you can grow facial hair, but it’s a little thin, then a beard roller could help to make it look thicker and fuller.
Many experts suggest using a beard roller in combination with minoxidil (Regaine, to you and I) can help improve results even further.

Shaquille O’Neal recently appeared in a PointsBet ad that sparked a complaint, as it allegedly portrayed Australian men as stupid. The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) Code of Ethics has found it not guilty, however.
Australians are known for being able to take a joke, but Shaquille O’Neal’s latest promotional cameo has left many antipodes embracing their inner angsty Americans: a viewer complaint has triggered an investigation into a recent TV gambling ad featuring the NBA legend. The complaint alleges the ad portrays Australia as whistling morons.
The PointsBet ad shows Shaq sitting alongside Australian comedy group The Inspired Unemployed to promote PointsBet’s Australian app. The skit takes place in a back garden of an ordinary-looking house.
WATCH: Shaquille O’Neal Gambling Ad Depicts Aussies As Utterly Unintelligible
Shaq is sitting on a large green esky, while the boys are sitting across from him on a bunch of smaller eskies. After the video begins with one of the boys slapping a fly off his shoulder, Shaq says: “How about this filly in the fifth fellas, put a $50 on it?”
The Inspired Unemployed group responds: “Yeah Nah, I’d give her the old (whistle) ya know? How ya going, how ya been? Nah Yeah Nah, Yeah Yeah.”
Shaq says: “Is that a yes or no?”
The men say: “Nah yep. Greys in the wet, hey. Having a trot you know? (whistle) Good sort. (whistle) Came to play. You know?”
“Up the guts. Good size. Where you going? How ya been?”
Shaq: “You Aussies sure are built different” before finishing with “you know what they call me, mate? Shaqadile Dundee.”
Though a couple of people said they loved the ad, many others didn’t. Comments on Twitter and Youtube soon came in, attacking it. Youtube user Judah A, for instance, wrote: “The boys whistling in between talking is plain dumb. You make Aussie’s look stupid. I have never met anyone who does this.”
Another Youtube user, Steve Jolly, wrote: “What is that whistling, other than stupid. Anybody know what it is supposed to be?”
On Twitter, one social media went as far as to tell Shaq to “f*ck off.”
In Australia @SHAQ was paid to promote a dodgy gambling company that advertises to kids and families in prime time. Fuck off @SHAQ
— STartGallery (@STartGalleryEth) October 7, 2022
Another wrote: “I HATE these adds, not only for how they portray Australians (are they shown in the USA?) but mainly because they are repeated again and again from about 4pm in the afternoon (not good for kids to see) and they are incredibly annoying. Have to turn the TV on mute.”
The Ads Standards community panel launched an inquiry into the ad after complainants allegedly reported it as ‘offensive’ and accused it of portraying Australian men as “real stupid yobbos.”
According to The Daily Mail, the complainant said: “It’s offensive to my (sic) as an Australian to see my culture down like this.”
PointsBet reportedly told the Ad Standards panel they “unquestionably believe[s] that the advertisement is wholly compliant with all applicable codes and legislative or regulatory regimes.”
They also said it wasn’t supposed to hurt Australia’s feelings, writing: “Australia, people, and place is known throughout the world to be uniquely different.”
“This uniqueness is a positive trait that extends to our vernacular, places, animals and more.”
“It is a place like no other with its own peculiar take on the English language and sport.”
“In reality, it is common that persons not familiar with Australiana struggle to understand our colloquialisms, mannerisms and the like.”
The panel waved away the complaint after deciding the ad had not actually broken the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) Code of Ethics.
The panel ruled: “The phrases used in the first version advertisement were deliberately exaggerated for humorous effect, and did not suggest that all young Australian men were stupid or unable to speak intelligibly.”

Americans and Russians may have been the worst tourists in Bali during COVID, but with travel once again free-flowing in 2022, it seems Australians are reclaiming their reputation as the worst binge drinkers and rental scooter wranglers on the island.
Bali has a love-hate relationship with tourists. On the one hand, some people, like Nyoman Sukma Arida, a Tourism Faculty lecturer at a university in Denpasar, think it’s time Bali stopped pandering to foreigners and focussing on domestic visitors.
As Sukma said: “It’s time Bali stopped deifying foreign tourists, in the future after the pandemic it will be difficult to attract tourists because tourism competition will be even tighter between countries.”
On the other hand, foreign tourism is a major source of revenue for Bali. I Wayan Koster, the governor of Bali said 6.3 million foreign tourists visited Bali in 2019 and contributed IDR 116 trillion (AUD $10.6 billion) to the island’s economy.
RELATED: Analyst Calls For Australians To Be Banned From Bali
With this many people visiting the island, there are always going to be some who act up. During the last few years, many of these incidents have come from Americans and Russians. Sergei Kosenko, an infamous Russian influencer, for instance, caused a stink by driving a motorbike off a pier in 2020.
A Russian woman also allegedly faced “pornography charges” after posing naked next to a 700-year-old sacred tree. Then there was the Canadian tourist who faced deportation after dancing naked on a sacred mountain and the influencers who were threatened with being booted from the country after their cheeky mask stunt backfired.

Australia is back in the mix now though, with a video of an Aussie guy burning rubber on a rental scooter outside a nightclub in Bali currently swooping around social media. The video shows an Australian tourist saying: “What happens in Bali stays in Bali” and doing circles on his scooter, blocking traffic for a good 45 seconds, with, as the progenitor of the video @thecanggupole puts it, a “no helmet and shit tattoo combo.”

“Was praying for a stack here but the scooter gods didn’t pull through,” the meme account added. “Yeah don’t be this guy.”
Other commentators chimed in with quips like “kook” and “what a dick.” Further outraged remarks included: “This guy needs a publicist and some good ol’ street justice,” “time for mandatory tourist visa IQ test requirement” and “I don’t want to hear/see any GoFundMe for this dude.”
“I can just imagine how he’d crack it if someone did that to his non-roadworthy SS Commodore with E plates.”
Instagram user @wayofthedj
Not to be outdone, yet further followers of The Canggu Pole said: “Balding those tyres with all this rain seems smart,” “poor…scooter rental” and “he should really rent a brain instead of bike.”
“Not even Australians want this guy back.”
Instagram user @yeolsy
Two final swings Instagram commentators took at the dude included: “Makes me want to never go Bali again” and “This kind of people should be deported and banned for at least 2 years.”
Ouch.

Paramount Plus (stylised as Paramount+) is one of the many streaming services available in Australia. As there’s quite a lot on the market nowadays, deciding which platforms to subscribe to is a tough choice.
If you’re considering subscribing to Paramount+ Australia, here’s everything you need to know about it.
What is Paramount Plus?
Paramount Plus is a new streaming platform that launched in Australia in August 2021. It was formerly known as 10 All Access, but since rebranding and relaunching, it has added a wealth of new and extra content for subscribers to enjoy.
As its name suggests, the platform provides access to tons of Paramount Pictures content – such as Top Gun, The Godfather, Transformers, etc. – but you will also have access to content from Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, the Smithsonian Channel and CBS.
Not only this but Paramount Plus has a ton of original and exclusive content under the Paramount+ Originals and Paramount+ Exclusives categories – this includes the television series, Halo (based on the video game of the same name), Star Trek: Picard and Dexter: New Blood.
You’ll also be able to watch every match of the A-League, Socceroos, Matildas and FA Cup live, making Paramount Plus a must-have streaming service for soccer fans.
How much is Paramount Plus in Australia?
Paramount Plus offers just one tier, which you can pay for in either of two ways, making it an incredibly easy service to understand. You can choose to pay $8.99 per month or pay $89.99 annually, saving you just under $20.
By comparison with other streaming services, Paramount+ is one of the cheapest streaming platforms available in Australia. Only Prime Video, at $6.99 per month, is cheaper.
But, when you consider Paramount Plus includes a good selection of live sport as part of its subscription price, it becomes one of the most attractive streaming propositions in Australia. Rival sports streaming services such as Stan Sport – which can’t be paid for separately to a full Stan account – and Kayo Sports – which starts at $25 per month – are clearly a lot more expensive.
However, the selection of sport on offer with both off these services is likely to be more appealing to many, as it includes Formula 1, Champions League football and the English Premier League. But, if you’re a true Australian sports fan, then Paramount Plus could be the best streaming service for you.
Paramount Plus free trial
If you’re tempted to try out Paramount Plus, the streaming service offers new customers a free seven-day trial. This will grant you full access to the Paramount Plus library of content, including sport.
Paramount Plus features
Paramount Plus allows users to stream content on up to three devices simultaneously. You’ll also be able to download select shows and movies to your device so you can watch them when you’re offline.
Sadly, the Australian version of Paramount Plus is currently limited to Full HD streaming quality; meaning those of you with devices capable of 4K resolution will have to rely on your TV’s upscaling technology.
What devices can I use to watch Paramount Plus?
Paramount Plus can be accessed on a wide range of devices, including:
- Smartphones
- Tablets
- Compatible Android TV devices
- Media streaming devices and set-top boxes
- Fetch TV
- Telstra TV
- PCs
- Macs
A full list of supported devices can be found on the Paramount+ website.

American big-wave surfer and all round legend, Laird Hamilton, is no stranger to keeping fit in his middle age. But one method of training enjoyed by Laird really isn’t for the faint hearted, something UFC hotshot Paddy Pimblett recently discovered.
We’ve previously discussed 58-year-old Laird Hamilton’s crazy antics and trendsetting moves – see his tethered swimming or weighted vest training methods – all in the name of fitness, but his latest obsession with underwater weight training is something that has us gasping for air just watching it.
WATCH: Laird Hamilton Teaches Paddy Pimblett Underwater Weight Training
UFC superstar Paddy Pimblett recently visited Laird at his home in Hawaii, to discover how Laird manages to keep his body in fighting fit shape, despite pushing 60 years of age. After attempting an ice bath, Laird got Paddy into the pool to complete a number of weighted resistance training moves which have to be seen to be believed.
The majority of the movements saw Paddy having to sink to the bottom of the pool whilst holding a dumbbell, and then push himself off the pool floor so that he would reach the surface. Laird proved just how easily this can be done, being able to push up and resurface in one fell swoop.
For Liverpudlian UFC fisher Paddy Pimblett however, he had to kick his legs and use his arms to help fight against both the resistance of the water and the resistance of the weight.
Other exercises Laird gets Paddy to perform include walking laps of the pool floor whilst holding onto some dumbbells (which Laird claims is “something fun”), and swimming lengths of the pool whilst holding a dumbbell in one hand.
Paddy says the training is “like nothing I’ve ever done in my life.”
As British publication Sports Fitness says, underwater weight lifting can have a number of positive effects, both “on your body and mental health.”
Purported benefits include:
- Increased core strength
- Improves breathing technique
- Enhanced cardiovascular system
- Great for injury recovery
- Mental boost and stress relief
- Increased muscle strength
The improvements to your strength and cardiovascular system should be relatively obvious. Swimming already provides a good amount of resistance and is a great way to build strength, so adding weights into the equation requires you to exert more strength to fight the resistance.
DMARGE has previously spoken to Laird about his underwater training. He said, “The pool training is my most unique because we made it up—we developed it and it’s a combination of weight training and swimming together.”
And, talking to the benefits underwater weight training has for the average Joe, Laird added it “helps you minimise injury, increase cardio capacity, then make you a lot cleaner—a better swimmer—in the water.”
By working out in the water you also minimise the impact on your joints, making it a much safer form of exercise. There is, of course, the inherent danger of drowning, since you’re literally holding onto weights to keep you submerged for long periods of time. In this regard, you should only attempt underwater weight training after consulting a health professional and if you have a spotter to hand who can intervene should anything go wrong.
But, as a potential new way for you to workout, it could be the best thing you ever do.

Airbus is flogging off bits of an Airbus A380, with the profits going to the Airbus Foundation’s charitable endeavours. Items being auctioned include lamps, a bar, trolleys, seats, emergency exit signs, baby bassinets, a cockpit rescue rope and a faux marble sink.
The majestic A380, one of the world’s most loved passenger jets, is going the way of the Dodo. Though some airlines like Emirates still see it as a profitable jet, the vast majority of carriers are moving on from it, shifting towards smaller, more efficient aircraft, even for long-haul journeys.
The A380 was supposed to revolutionize commercial passenger flights. Instead, its inefficient design and low demand during the pandemic saw Airbus decide to stop A380 production at the end of 2021.
On the bright side, this means plane aficionados can now – literally – own a piece of history. How so? Airbus is holding a three-day sell-off of some 500 pieces of the Airbus SE A380, starting on October 13th. Items being auctioned include lamps, a bar (that’s right: the Emirates one), trolleys, seats, emergency exit signs, baby bassinets, a cockpit rescue rope and a faux marble sink (which is reportedly going for as little as $2,000).

A380 lovers can also try their hand at bidding on artwork made by street artists created using different parts of the plane, like its engine blades. Proceeds from the auction will go towards the Airbus Foundation’s humanitarian initiatives.
“The proceeds from this auction will help the Airbus Foundation continue to facilitate charitable initiatives worldwide leveraging an international network of employees, associations and other organisations, supporting general interest projects,” Airbus said.

The auction will take place in Toulouse, France, and online. Most of the parts going under the hammer come from an A380 MSN13, which started flying in 2008.
As for the A380’s history, the iconic jet took off from Toulouse-Blagnac airport on its first-ever flight on the 27th of April, 2005. As Airbus puts it: “This global event, which remains etched in our collective memory, marked the beginning of a real love affair between this exceptional aircraft and people around the world.”

To that end, speaking about the upcoming auction, Airbus explains: “Airbus is giving you the opportunity to own an authentic piece of the A380, the iconic legend that continues to demonstrate its extraordinary feat of engineering, technology and exceptional passenger experience.”

Tom Brady is a name you’ve almost certainly heard, regardless of your interest in American NFL. He holds multiple records (nearly every major one for his position) and is arguably the most successful NFL player ever. Even though he’s now 45, he’s still dominating the NFL due to his God-given talent.
But, who is Tom Brady, what’s his net worth and who’s his wife? Read on to find out.

Who is Tom Brady?
Tom Brady is an American NFL quarterback who is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks and NFL players of all time. He was born on 3rd August 1977 to parents Galynn Patricia and Thomas Brady Sr. Tom Brady has three older sisters, Nancy, Julie and Maureen.
Tom showed a keen interest in American Football from a young age, and often attended San Francisco 49ers games to watch Joe Montana, who was the team’s quarterback in the 1980s. Inspired by his sporting hero, Tom Brady enrolled in a football camp at the College of San Mateo, where he learned how to throw an American football by Tony Grazini (who also went on to have a career in the NFL).
A keen athlete at high school, Tom Brady played American football, basketball and baseball and was eventually selected as the backup quarterback on the Padres junior varsity team. Thanks to a lucky break, whereby the starting quarterback sustained an injury, Tom Brady assumed the role of quarterback for his team and performed well enough to ensure he kept the spot.
After sending his own highlight reels to various colleges in the hope of being signed by them, he eventually chose the University of Michigan as his playground in 1995.
College Career
Tom Brady continued to play for the University of Michigan until 1999 but was only selected to start games in 1998 and 1999. He proved his worth during 1998, finishing the year with a new school record for most competitions during a loss against Ohio State.
Professional Career

Although he was a hard-working athlete, Brady didn’t show teams his potential out of college and was seen as a ‘lightly-regarded prospect’. He was drafted late in the 2000 NFL draft in the 6th round and the 199th overall pick for the Patriots.
New England Patriots
After joining the New England Patriots, Tom Brady was initially viewed as the number two QB behind Drew Bledsoe. But, when Drew sustained an almost season-ending injury in just the second game of 2001 season, Tom was called up to take his place. After finding some momentum, Tom Brady began to reveal his incredible talent, and quickly became the starter QB for the Patriots.
His success with the team went from strength to strength, and he is regarded as being one of the key components, along with coach Bill Belichick, for the Patriots’ 18-season dynasty between 2001-2019.
Tom now holds the record for the most regular-season game wins, with 243, coupled with 35 postseason game wins, bringing his total number of winning games to 278.
Tom Brady has won 6 Super Bowl titles with the Patriots, taking them to their first title in his second season and one Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first season with them.
Brady’s 7 Super Bowl wins are more than any other player or franchise (the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers have both won six). He’s also appeared in 10 Super Bowls — four more than any other player in NFL history.

He was named the game’s Most Valuable Player five times (2002, 2004, 2015, 2017, and 2021) and a 14-time NFL Pro-Bowler (an award given to outstanding players in the league at their position). Tom Brady holds a number of other records for a quarterback in the NFL, including being the leader in career passing yards, attempts and touchdown passes.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tom Brady’s career is most associated with him playing for the New England Patriots, for whom he played his first 20 seasons (2001-2019). He then caused some controversy when he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020.
Tom Brady Retirement
After 22 seasons in the NFL, Tom Brady announced his retirement on Instagram at the end of the 2021 season. However, only 40 days later, Brady announced he would return to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season (maybe thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo).
Brady has been confirmed to become a sports analyst for Fox Sports following his retirement (whenever that may actually be) and will reportedly receive a contract worth $375 million over 10 years, making him the highest-paid sports commentator in history.
Tom Brady Stats
Tom Brady holds an extensive list of quarterback and player records, also winning many awards in the NFL. As of 2022, some of them include:
- Most games played by a quarterback: 365
- Most career wins as a quarterback: 263
- Most touchdowns passes (regular and post-season): 661
- Most game-winning drives: 67
- Most fourth-quarter comebacks: 51
- Most combined passing attempts: 13,172
- Most passing touchdowns in one quarter: 5
- Most career Super Bowl completions: 277
Brady has also played in 3 of the 5 most-watched television events in American history, with Super Bowls XLIX, XLVI and LI being the first, fourth and fifth-most watched television broadcasts in American history.
Tom Brady Wife & Family

Tom Brady began dating Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen in 2006, having been set up on a blind date by a friend. The couple married in 2009 and they now have two children, a son, Benjamin Rein and a daughter, Vivian Lake. Bündchen was the world’s top-earning supermodel for 14 consecutive years from 2002 to 2016.
Reports began surfacing in September and October 2022 to suggest Tom and Gisele’s marriage had hit a sticky point, with the mai issue being Tom’s passion and dedication for football, which sees him spend a good proportion of each year away from his family. Rumours suggest the couple have split up, but neither Tom nor Gisele have confirmed this.
Tom Brady has another child, John Edward Thomas Moynahan with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, whom he dated between 2004 and late 2006.
