Superyachts typically split their time between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. But as the industry grows, Australia is pushing hard to become “that third spot,” says Greg Newby, director of Superyacht Crew Academy.
There have been seismic shifts in the superyacht industry over the last 20 years. The “wild west” days are winding down, the demographic is changing and more remote places are being explored. But while we have previously reported on superyachts flocking for the first time to Turkey, Greenland, the Baltic and Antarctica, there is another tasty hub that has been staring us in the face the whole time: Australia.

To understand this burgeoning new trend, DMARGE spoke to Greg Newby, who has worked on superyachts for more than 15 years, and who is the director of Superyacht Crew Academy, a training organisation for aspiring superyacht workers in Australia.
Mr Newby told DMARGE that “Australia is pushing hard” to make itself a more attractive destination for superyachts, so that it can “become that third spot” for superyachting (beyond the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, the two summer destinations most superyachts currently split their time between).

“Queensland are doing an incredible job at the moment,” Mr Newsby told DMARGE. “The infrastructure is amazing and it’s just such a perfect destination for yachts with The Great Barrier Reef on the doorstep.”
“The Queensland government has a superyacht initiative to become a superyacht hub over the next ten years, especially before the Olympics.”
“The world’s getting smaller. Australia seemed like it was just too far away but now with all the stops and infrastructure through the pacific, yachts are island hopping across and spending time in Australia doing refits and actually cruising.”
Greg Newby
Mr Newby told us the main attractions for superyachts in Australia at the moment are the Great Barrier Reef as well as “around the top through the Kimberly and down the west coast of Australia [think: Ningaloo]. It’s becoming a much bigger destination.”

There are also cities dotted up and down the east coast, for both the party and the ‘chiller’ superyacht demographics (from Noosa and Byron Bay to the Gold Coast and Sydney) to enjoy themselves.
RELATED: Luxury Cruise Ships Will Soon Explore More Dangerous Destinations
Mr Newby also told DMARGE he has heard rumours significant funding could be on its way for West Australia’s superyacht industry: “I think the West Australian government will announce about 10 billion dollars towards superyacht infrastructure.”

What is superyacht infrastructure? It’s things like marinas and berths. As Mr Newby told us: “The Gold Coast just recently opened 160m berths, which they can get superyachts into.” Superyacht infrastructure also comprises equipping marinas with the capability to power these “massive beasts,” Mr Newby said.
“It’s giving them the ability to come here and not stress about anything really. There are thousands of crew on our doorstep ready to jump on board if required. I think Australia and the Pacific is definitely becoming that third spot [to go superyachting] and then Alaska has always been a hotspot.”
“What’s holding us back from being a hub,” Mr Newby said, is “just distance.” He reckons: “What needs to be done is there are a lot of organisations that are pushing hard going to shows around the world and pushing Australia as a destination.”
“But it’s still that conception that we’re so far away and it’s true – we are. If you wanted to travel from the south of France to Australia it’s going to be, weather dependant, a 5 or 6-week trip to get a vessel down here.”
RELATED: Superyacht Captain Shares ‘Unbelievable’ High Sea Stories
While Australia might seem a long way away from the existing superyacht hubs of the world, with the right infrastructure here, Mr Newby reckons we could certainly become a new hub of our own.
“Now that [a 5 or six-week journey to get here] seems like a lot, but when you’re laying the boat up for two months or over a whole year four to five months a year, from an owners point of view that’s nothing; you’ll step on a vessel in the south of France mid-September and then step off in Sydney [just in time for summer].”
“There’s a lot of education, especially for captains and crew which is needed, and which is what we’re trying to do from the ground up.”
Greg Newby
“We’re trying to make sure that you can study here in Australia and we’re trying to make it a lot easier for students to come back and study and actually have career pathways here in Australia. At the moment it’s very restricted, but we’re working very hard on that and we’ve got a lot of government support to make sure that skilled workers come back to Australia. It’s just going to take time.”
“If you built it, they will come.”
Greg Newby
There are always bumps along the road for any new trend, and Australia as a superyacht hub is no exception. But given everything Mr Newby has told us, we can only imagine more billion-dollar vessels will be gracing our shores over the next decade, not less. Now, all we need is our own version of Below Deck to finally hit Netflix and we’ll be laughing…

Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi are both undoubtedly some of the greatest footballers of our generation. But with new talent muscling their way in, and starting to smash records, can we still call them the “greatest?”
We’re going to get straight to our point: Erling Braut Haaland. We’ve already discussed how the Norwegian goalscoring machine is well on his way to becoming the next Zlatan, but following what appears to be an effortless adoption to the English Premier League (arguably the most difficult football league in the world to assert dominance) Haaland is already proving how he could have one of the greatest football careers of any player. Ever.
Haaland completed a £51 million move from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund to Premier League heavyweights Manchester City before the 2022-23 season kicked off, a figure that now seems like an absolute steal (considering English defender Harry Maguire set Manchester United back £70 million).
Since Haaland made his move, he has already clocked up 19 goals in all competitions from 12 appearances. 9 of those goals have come via three hat tricks (two in consecutive games) during Premier League meet-ups against Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and club rivals Manchester United. This in itself is an incredible feat, as he only needed 8 Premier League games to achieve the stunning stat. The previous record holder, Michael Owen, took 48 games to score three hat tricks for former club, Liverpool FC.
How many goals has Haaland scored?
So far in his playing career, Haaland has netted 174 goals in all competitions from 212 appearances. This includes his days playing for Norwegian clubs Bryne and Molde (and the reserve teams for both), Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City.
But, to put Haaland’s ridiculous talent into a context that’s a little easier to understand and visualise, Sky Sports released an infographic showing how many goals he has scored in his first 100 European League, games compared to some of the sport’s biggest names.
— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) October 3, 2022
Haaland holds the record with 103 goals in 100 appearances. In comparison, Cristiano Ronaldo netted just 16 goals in the same period. Lionel Messi fares a little better with 41 goals in his first 100 European League games. Some of the beautiful game’s former greats have cemented their legendary status, such as Ruud van Nistelrooy netting 77 goals in 100 games and Brazilian Ronaldo racking up 86.
Haaland vs Messi and Ronaldo
Of course, Haaland’s early dominance in the Premier League isn’t guaranteed to be sustainable for his entire career. There’s also the potential of injury (as there is for anyone). The more he runs rings around defenders, the more those defenders could become agitated and they may lash out (albeit unintentionally), sending Haaland to the emergency room and into rehab.
At the time of writing, while Haaland may have bagged himself a string of hat tricks in unbelievably quick time compared to Ronaldo and Messi, he’s not necessarily destined to continue his strong run of form.
What makes Ronaldo and Messi so great?
It’s not just a player’s ability to score goals that get tongues wagging with the term “greatest ever,” but their natural ability on the ball and how they can influence their team. As Bleacher Report says, each decade has its standout player: “One thinks of Pele in the 1960s, Johan Cruyff in the 1970s, Maradona in the 1980s and so on.” The publication also points out, “The Messi vs. Ronaldo rivalry is a singular occurrence. Never have the careers of football’s greatest players coincided.”
“Messi—as Barca was in its prime with Andres Iniesta and Xavi—is an incredible message to send out, a reminder that football can be played and made sublime even if you’re small and not particularly power-built. They’re the minnows,” said Diego Maradona’s biographer Jimmy Burns, “That’s an attractive thing compared to the image of Ronaldo. He’s got this extraordinary, perfect beauty of face and extraordinary sculptured body. It’s almost like it’s come out of a computer.”
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said (via ESPN): “What he has done — how he scores, how he moves, his incredible instinct to know when the ball is coming — I have never taught him anything. He got all that from his parents.”
With Messi and Ronaldo commanding headlines for much of the 2000’s thus far, is Haaland the man to take the baton and show what a truly great footballer can really do?

Dash cams have become almost a necessity in Australia, since they give you the evidence you need if you’re in a car accident or need to contest a speeding ticket. They can also help to capture everything that goes on if you’re unfairly treated by law enforcement and can help to reduce your insurance premium.
But as with anything in the world of tech, some dash cams and in car cameras will be better than others, which is why we’ve sorted through the huge selection to determine the best dash cams Australia has to offer.
What to look for when buying a dashcam
Dashcams are constantly evolving, which is why you need to know what features to look for before buying one.
Viewpoints
Some dashcams offer the extra protection of a rear-facing camera, along with the forward-facing one on the front. This can help to provide evidence if someone rear-ends you, and they claim you slammed on your brakes, for example.
Image Quality
You’ll also want to make sure your dash cam has HD (High-Definition) recording as a minimum for clearer images. Some dash cams have 4K recording for even clearer images. You also want to make sure your dashcam performs well at nighttime, just in case you get into a car accident when the sun goes down.
Viewing Angle
The viewing angle is also important to take note of: the larger the field of the view, the more area the dash cam can record.
Storage
The majority of dashcams will store video data on an SD card, so be sure you know which type of card you need when buying your dashcam. Naturally, the higher the amount of storage, the more video content you can record. You’d hate to run out of storage, only to then get into an accident and have no evidence.
Smart Features
Some dash cams now have the ability to work via voice control too, meaning you can ask it to play music, read the news or check the weather, with results returned on your smartphone. It might seem a little gimmicky, but could be a genuinely useful feature.

The latest instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Werewolf by Night is definitely worth your time… Even if you’re not a Marvel fan.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is ever-expanding. This year alone we’ve been blessed with two MCU films and three MCU series and there’s still more to come before the year is up. Like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and season two of What If…?.
And the latest MCU instalment has just dropped on Disney+. Werewolf by Night, a standalone television special, is based on the Marvel comics of the same name and it’s seriously awesome. And unlike anything the MCU has done before.
Following a group of monster hunters who gather together after the death of their leader and are then suddenly thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic, Werewolf by Night is a fantastic homage to classic 1930s horror films.
WATCH: The official trailer for ‘Werewolf by Night’…
The special is tense, thrilling, spooky (perfect in the lead-up to Halloween) and the bloodiest MCU project so far (we’re guessing Deadpool 3 will surpass Werewolf by Night when it’s released). Plus, it’s well-acted by the relatively unknown cast – no A-listers here – and directed and scored to perfection by Michael Giacchino.
Werewolf by Night is not obviously connected to the MCU – spoiler: there are no cameos from Chris Hemsworth as Thor or Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury – and while in the past, we’ve found Phase 4’s lack of overarching story frustrating, Werewolf by Night is extremely enjoyable as a stand-alone project.
To be perfectly honest, the last few MCU instalments have left something to be desired; Thor: Love and Thunder was good but not great, for example. Whereas Werewolf by Night actively excited us for the first time since Wanda whispered “run” in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
If you’re a Marvel fan, Werewolf by Night is a must-watch, as it’s considered canon and a part of the rich MCU tapestry. But if you’re a casual fan or not a fan at all, we still highly recommend Werewolf by Night – cinematic, gory and compelling, what more could you want?

DMARGE spoke to Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle, to discover exactly what happens to your brain when you go on a two-day bender.
Some people, namely those in their twenties, love spending their weekends on a bender; a booze cruise, if you will. You know, devoting Friday and Saturday nights to going out, doing shots, drinking cocktails and perhaps indulging in recreational drugs…
And everyone knows the result of an alcohol-fuelled weekend: a horrid hangover that encompasses all day Sunday and for some poor bastards, the better half of Monday too. But have you ever wondered what drinking that much alcohol is doing to your body aside from the hangover?
Well, as it turns out, ‘the dangers of alcohol’ isn’t just a catchy slogan. There really are dangers that come along with drinking alcohol; especially on binge drinking benders…
DMARGE spoke with Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle, who has over 25 years of experience as an addiction clinician. And Professor Dunlop revealed that your brain can get seriously affected by drinking heavily.
“There’s something called alcohol-related brain injury. So, alcohol affects the function of your brain, particularly memory functions, and that’s why old drinkers find it really hard to learn anything new. They can only remember stuff they’ve learnt years and years ago [and] their attention is really poor. [Alcohol-related brain injury,] it’s very not well understood and very underdiagnosed because people don’t know about it.”
Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle
Echoing Professor Dunlop’s comments, The Victorian Government’s Department of Health states that alcohol-related brain injury – or as they call it, impairment – can lead to problems with memory, thinking-related abilities and physical coordination; permanently in some cases. And currently, roughly 200,000 Australians are undiagnosed.

Plus, while their research shows that alcohol-related brain impairment is more likely to occur if a person drinks heavily on a regular basis over many years, don’t think because you’re young, it won’t affect you just yet and it’ll be an issue for you to deal with later in life… Because that’s not the case; young excessive binge drinkers are also at risk.
Another effect that going on a bender will have on your brain is what’s called ‘reduced brain function’. This is an extremely short-term effect and can cause people who have had a few drinks to experience difficulty walking, blurred vision and a slowed reaction time. It can also, as Professor Dunlop disclosed, cause blackouts.
“Once you get above a certain dose of alcohol in your brain, your short-term memory is totally wiped out, so you don’t remember what you’ve done.”
Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle
If you go a little harder than alcohol during a night out on the town and partake in recreational drugs, that’s not doing your brain any favours either. The Department of Health outlines many negative effects that drugs can have on your brain and body.
Cocaine gives users a euphoric feeling because it instantly triggers the release of dopamine in the brain. However, this rush only lasts fifteen to thirty minutes and that’s when other effects can come into play. Cocaine users can then become extremely agitated, paranoid and aggressive. They could also experience dizziness, hallucinations, nausea and vomiting, tremors, headache and heart pain.
Long term, using cocaine regularly can lead to severe depression and something called ‘cocaine psychosis’ – symptoms of which include aggression and disturbing hallucinations like seeing or feeling insects under the skin.

Ecstasy (also known as MDMA) can cause users to feel euphoric, energetic and confident but also aggressive, paranoid, anxious and irritable. Long term, regularly using Ecstasy can cause “permanent damage to the brain cells that make the neurotransmitter serotonin – which is involved in mood regulation, body temperature, appetite and sex drive.”
Shockingly, research suggests that using Cannabis AKA marijuana, Mary Jane, pot, weed, ganja – we could go on – can trigger life-long-lasting psychotic symptoms in a person predisposed to psychosis (meaning they have a family history of psychotic illness, such as schizophrenia); even if the person only tries cannabis once.
Also, doctors highly recommend that people with a psychotic illness should not use cannabis as it can make existing psychotic symptoms worse. However, for people who don’t suffer from a psychotic illness or aren’t predisposed to psychosis, cannabis makes users feel relaxed but potentially anxious, paranoid and/or confused as well.
Long term, frequent cannabis use can cause poor concentration, memory loss and learning difficulties. However, when speaking to Professor Dunlop, he mentioned that a study done by health professionals deemed cannabis as the least harmful substance a person (who doesn’t have a psychotic illness) can take.
“Cannabis is the least harmful of all.”
Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle
Professor Dunlop also revealed that this study deemed that the most harmful substance people can take is alcohol, which ironically is the only legal substance we’ve mentioned in this article.

Of course, many countries – Australia included – have a rather toxic drinking and drug culture so we understand that, for the time being at least, people will not suddenly stop engaging in benders.
We’re even willing to bet that as you’re reading this, you’re thinking, ‘Oh damn, going out with the boys is ruining my brain and health. Oh well, it’s fun and #YOLO!” And so, we asked for Professor Dunlop’s professional opinion on how you can minimise the risks associated with benders.
“[Keep] a record of how much you drink. If you just think about how much you drink and not just, ‘Another one, another one!’ As soon as you become more conscious [of how much you’re drinking, you’ll] start to drink less… Oh [and] have a full stomach, not an empty stomach.”
Adrian Dunlop, Conjoint Professor at the University of Newcastle
He also recommended just sticking to one substance; so if you’re going to drink, only drink, if you’re going to smoke pot, only smoke pot as “mixing different substances can be dangerous.”
There you have it. We know you’ll now go forth and start looking forward to your next weekend of debauchery but please try to either take on Professor Dunlop’s advice or cancel your plans altogether… Your brain will thank you.

Men, have you ever considered a hand tattoo? While you’re likely going to be drawn to having a tattoo inked on your arms, chest or back, hand tattoos are becoming more and more popular as a place to show off some artistic ink.
You only need to take a look at Harry Styles, Pete Davidson and David Beckham to start getting an idea of how cool hand tattoos can look. In our opinion, hand tattoos on men will look better if there are already some other tattoos on the forearm, as they can help to minimise the visual impact and in many ways, a hand tattoo can act as an extension of other designs you have on your arms.
Naturally, when getting a tattoo on your hand, you have less space to work with compared to your chest or back, for example, so you need to think carefully about what design or designs you can realistically get inked onto the skin.
What does a hand tattoo mean?
As with pretty much any tattoo, having a tattoo specifically placed on your hand doesn’t tend to have any real meaning. However, some tattoo die-hards have suggested which hand you choose for your tattoo could have some significance.
For example, it’s claimed the right hand can be associated with dominance, mercy and logic. The left hand, meanwhile, is said to be associated with emotion, the moon and justice. Whether you want to agree with these meanings or not, is entirely down to personal preference.
If you’re thinking of getting a hand tattoo but need some inspiration, then we’ve rounded up some of the coolest and most unique hand tattoo ideas for men. Just remember, even though tattoo removal technology continues to improve, your tattoo is, in theory, for life, so make sure you’re going to continue to love your new hand tattoo as you get older.

Your passport is a powerful thing…for most people, anyway, allowing you to travel around the world and confirm your identity. The strength of your passport is determined by Henley & Partners, who release their Global Passport Ranking data every year, and adds that its Passport Index is “updated quarterly”. Passports are ranked based on data obtained from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA) and includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations.
The most up to date information has just been released by Henley & Partners, and for the fifth year in a row, Japan takes the top spot, closely followed Singapore and South Korea. Australia just makes it into the top 10, coming in at number 8, tied with Canada, Czech Republic, Greece and Malta. The United States sits one place above at number 7.
In dead last, position 112, is Afghanistan with 27 points. Iraq and Syria second-bottom and third-bottom, with 29 points and 30 points respectively.
How is a passport’s strength calculated?

To determine a passport’s strength, Henley & Partners scores each one based on the number of destinations that the passport holder can enter visa-free. If no visa is required, then 1 point is awarded. If the passport holder is able to obtain a visa on arrival, a visitor’s permit or an electronic travel authority (ETA) upon entry, then the passport gets 1 point.
If, however, a visa is required for entry, or a passport holder has to apply for a government-approved electric visa (e-Visa) before they depart their original destination, 0 points are awarded to the passport. 0 points are also given if the passport holder needs to obtain pre-departure approval.
Japan sits at the top of the list with 193 points, meaning holders of a Japanese passport can enter 193 countries without a visa, or countries that allow them to be granted a visa upon arrival.
How powerful is the Australian passport?

Australia, in eighth place, has a score of 185. The Australian passport has previously ranked as high as sixth place, in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Its lowest ranking during the last 17 years Henley & Partners has been publishing its annual rankings was ninth, in 2006 and 2019.
To find out which countries you can visit visa-free on an Australian passport, head to Henley Global’s passport index.
The United Kingdom, perhaps surprisingly, considering it’s no longer part of the EU, scores 187 points, 1 point higher than the United States, which walks away with 186.
Top 10 most powerful passports
We say top 10 most powerful passports, but since many countries are tied with equal points, we’ll list all countries that are included in the top 10 spots.
Rank | Passport | Visa-free score |
1 | Japan | 193 |
2 | Singapore | 192 |
South Korea | 192 | |
3 | Germany | 190 |
Spain | 190 | |
4 | Finland | 189 |
Italy | 189 | |
Luxembourg | 189 | |
5 | Austria | 188 |
Denmark | 188 | |
Netherlands | 188 | |
Sweden | 188 | |
6 | France | 187 |
Ireland | 187 | |
Portugal | 187 | |
United Kingdom | 187 | |
7 | Belgium | 186 |
New Zealand | 186 | |
Norway | 186 | |
Switzerland | 186 | |
United States | 186 | |
8 | Australia | 185 |
Canada | 185 | |
Czech Republic | 185 | |
Greece | 185 | |
Malta | 185 | |
9 | Hungary | 183 |
10 | Lithuania | 182 |
Poland | 182 | |
Slovakia | 182 |
Of course, your passport is only powerful, or even usable, if it’s valid and hasn’t expired. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world realised their passports expired during the global Covid-19 pandemic, and so faced days-long queues to renew them quickly when international travel finally returned.
The Henley Passport Index also bases its rankings on other criteria, which include:
- The passport is ‘normal’ rather than diplomatic, emergency or temporary
- The passport holder is an adult citizen of the issuing country, traveling alone
- The passport holder meets all the basic requirements for entry (such as holding a hotel reservation or having proof of sufficient funds)
- The passport holder has had all the necessary inoculations or vaccinations
- The passport holder is arriving at and departing from the same airport
- The passport holder is seeking a short stay rather than a transit stay in the destination country or territory
- The duration of the short stay is between three days and several months
- Entry to the destination country is for tourist or business purposes

Erling Haaland is a beast. But even the high hopes fans had upon him joining the EPL from the Bundesliga have been blown away, with the Norweigan international scoring 14 goals in 8 league games already, meaning he’s already 9 goals away from last year’s golden boot with 30 games left.
The Golden Boot is a coveted prize awarded at the end of every season to the Premier League player who has scored the most goals in that campaign.
Last year the prize was shared between Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min, who claimed the 2021/22 prize with 23 goals for Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

This year, however, unless Erling Haaland gets injured or has a massive dip in form, that number looks set to get smashed out of the water. Haaland, whose 51 million pound transfer from Borussia Dortmund inspired great intrigue in the summer, is now sitting on 14 goals already after just 8 league games.

Considering the Premier League is known as the toughest league in the world, even more so than the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, that’s a truly wild statistic. In our eyes (and the view of many astounded souls on Twitter), it shows Erling Haaland is “playing the EPL on easy mode.”
As @espnuk put it: “Erling Haaland is making a mockery of the Premier League.” Looking at other statistics, like the fact that Erling Haaland has scored in all but one game this season (and in that one he got an assist), it’s hard to argue with that.
Haaland has also beaten former Liverpool great Michael Owen’s record of being the fastest to score three hat-tricks in the Premier League. Haaland is now the fastest to score three hat-tricks in the league, achieving the feat in just 8 matches (with his third hat-trick coming against local rivals Manchester United). Owen, who previously held the record, took 48 matches to reach the mark.

Who is Adam Reynolds?

Adam Reynolds is an Australian rugby player currently signed with the Brisbane Broncos. He was born in Sydney, New South Wales and showed a keen interest in rugby from a young age.
He cites brothers Andrew and Matthew Johns, and Darren Lockyer as his favourite players, and former South Sydney Rabbitohs Fullback Nathan Merritt, as his favourite South Sydney player of all time.
Playing Career
Adam Reynolds began playing rugby for a number of clubs, including St Peters JRLFC, Alexandria Rovers, La Perouse Panthers and Kensington United.
He then joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Under-20s team in 2009, which saw him play for the ’09 and ’10 seasons. In 2011, Adam Reynolds sustained an ACL injuryto his left knee during pre-season, which saw him miss out on the entire season.
South Sydney Rabbitohs

Adam Reynolds was then promoted to the starting lineup for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2012, making his NRL debut in Round 1 against rival team, the Sydney Roosters. Reynolds continued to play for the Rabbitohs until his move to Brisbane Broncos in 2022.
Reynolds was named captain of the Rabbitohs in 2020, which he said at the time was an honour. He is quoted as saying, “I grew up across the road from Redfern Oval in apartments on Elizabeth Street and always wanted to play for Souths, so to have the chance to captain the team is amazing.”
During his career with the Rabbitohs, Adam Reynolds made 231 appearances and scored 38 tries. While he did win a Premiership with the club in 2014, he missed out on winning a Grand Final with the Souths, although came narrowly close to wining it in a 14-12 loss to Penrith Panthers in 2021.
Brisbane Broncos

Adam Reynolds joined Brisbane Broncos in 2022, having signed a three-year deal with the team in May 2021. There was some speculation that he would join the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, and it’s claimed he could have earned a higher salary had he signed with the club, but he ultimately chose Brisbane as his new home.
He was placed straight into the role of captain and made his NRL debut with the club during Round 2 in a win over Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
He followed this up with a win over his former club in Round 9 in a 32-12 victory.
Adam Reynolds Wife & Family

Adam Reynolds is married to Tallara Reynolds (née Simon-Phillips), with the couple tying the knot on November 30th, 2016. Together they have four children; 3 daughters, Nakylah Iris, Aaliyah Louise and Zariyaa Brooke, and a son, Kobe Jonathan.
Adam Reynolds Tattoos

Adam Reynolds has a number of tattoos on his body, and he’s previously had others but has since had them removed. His most notable tattoo to have been removed was of a woman on his right pectoral. In some images, you can still see a faint outline of the tattoo that once was, but Adam says he plans to fill the space back in in the future.
Adam has a tattoo displaying the name of his first daughter, Nakaylah on his neck and a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm, comprising various religious images including rosary beads, a portrait of the Virgin Mary and a Sacred Heart.
On his left leg, Adam Reynolds has a portrait of Jamaican musician Bob Marley and on the opposite leg, a pair of clowns with the wording, “Laugh Now, Cry Later.” Above the clowns is a portrait of American rapper Post Malone. Adam hasn’t given much in the way of explanation as to why he’s got Post Malone tattooed on his leg, so we simply have to speculate that he’s just a fan of the rapper’s music.

On his left pectoral, Adam has a large Japanese flower, which covers up a lion tattoo. He has the words, “Brothers ‘Till Death” tattooed on his torso – Adam has previously said his brother is the rugby player he looks up to the most – and he has further Japanese-style ink on his left arm: two koi fish surrounding the names of his parents and his brother, Wayne.

Yet more ink gives a nod to the Rabbitohs, in the form of the club’s logo with “21”, and his son Kobe’s name can be found on his left hand alongside a rose. His wife, Tallara, has been immortalised in ink on his right hand.
Adam’s largest tattoo is the one on his back, which again, is in a Japanese style and incorporates his surname alongside a large dragon and a phoenix.
Adam Reynolds Salary
According to CodeSports, Adam Reynolds signed a three-year contract with Brisbane Broncos worth a reported A$2.4 million, that will see him play for the club until the end of the 2025 season.
Adam said his family played a major part in his decision to sign with the Broncos, saying, “I had four young kids and my salary was about to be cut in half,”
“I was fine with that, but I wanted two years. There are no hard feelings. A decision had to be made [and] I made the decision to look after my family… it’s business at the end of the day.”
