Nedd Brockmann is an Australian tradie from Forbes, New South Wales who completed a mammoth run across Australia from Perth to Bondi Beach, Sydney in 47 days. Nedd completed his run to raise money for We Are Mobilise, an Australian charity that helps people experiencing homelessness. Upon completing his run, Nedd was given a cheque revealing he had raised AU$1.5 million for Mobilise, but this has since increased to $1.7 million at the time of publishing.
But who is Nedd Brockman, where is he from and just how did he manage to prepare for his huge 3952km run across Australia?
Who is Nedd Brockmann?
Nedd Brockmann is a 23 year old electrician from Forbes, NSW who completed a 3,952km run across Australia from Perth to Bondi Beach, Sydney. The run took Nedd 47 days to complete.
Nedd said he wanted to complete the run for the Mobilise homelessness charity specifically because, “coming from country NSW, I was really disheartened when I came to Sydney, to see the number of homeless people on the street.”
Nedd admitted he always did his best to help out homeless people, either buying them coffee, giving them money or even giving them clothes, but he accepted he could only do so much “with that amount of money.”
So, he wanted to find a way of being able to raise a more substantial amount of money to give to charity.
Nedd grew up in Forbes in New South Wales’ Central West region and attended Kinross Wolaroi School in Orange, NSW and graduated in 2016. He then moved to Randwick, Sydney, to work as an electrician, and it was at this time he noticed the high number of homeless people in the city.
50 marathons in 50 days

It was only during the Covid pandemic that Nedd started taking up running seriously. He started off with short runs, before eventually running half-marathon and marathon distances, and then moving onto 60km, 80km and 100km distances.
It was at this time he said he started thinking of some crazy things he could do for money. He added he heard about someone else “running 50 marathons in 50 days and I thought ‘why can’t I do that?'”
He did do that, completing the feat in 2020 and raising just under $100,000 for Red Cross whilst doing so. Following this success, Nedd then wanted to run across Australia and hopefully set a new world record (the current record is 45 days) and raise $1 million for charity.
Nedd’s Record Run

Nedd set off on his Record Run from Cottesloe Beach, Perth on September 1 and had to run around 100km a day in order to beat the world record. On his first day, Nedd completed 103km, which he followed up with another 102.9km on day 2.
In fact, the first few days were successful for Nedd, which saw him run over 100km every day during the first week, despite him having to run in “blistering rain” and with headwinds of 50kph. His week 1 total distance was a huge 708km.
By day 12, Nedd made the tough decision to cut his run short at 42.2km, instead of pushing for a full 100km. He said at the time on his Instagram account, “I could have pushed today and got the hundred out no problem, but tomorrow would have been a long shot.”
“So today, my crew and I made the hard decision to call it at 42.2 and get a good afternoons/nights rest and hit the ground running/walking tomorrow.”
Injuries & Maggots

On day 13, Nedd posted an update saying he’d been “ordered to get scans tomorrow by people who have full brain capacity (not me). I have not taken this lightly. But the crew is here for a reason. If they weren’t, I’d probably be buried on the Nullarbor.”
The decision to get scans meant he missed a day of running, so on day 15, his next update came, and at the time he said “My shin/ankle looked like it has grown testies and I couldn’t move my toes or ankle so we thought it was best to scan the bad boy. Thankfully the nearest MRI was only 13 hours away.”
“Ankles scat but we get TF on with IT! We don’t quit, I never have and I never will.”
On day 20, he provided a more in-depth update as to what exactly was wrong with his ankle, as he had been getting a ton of questions from supporters.
He said he had “quite marked extensor tenosynovitis.” He added he had to make one of two decisions, “Either pull the pin on it all, get in a boot and immobilise the joint for 6 weeks until it healed. Or, sack it up, get 2 cortisone injections and buy an orthopaedic rubber band that pulls my foot off the floor every step I take.”
“Of course we chose option 2.”
On day 27, Nedd provided another injury update, admitting he has “severe tenosynovitis in my shins, Achilles tendinitis, pussed up blisters, maggots growing in toes, patella femoral pain, IT band rubbing, hip flexors shot, biceps can’t straighten because they’ve been in the flexed position for the average 100k steps a day.”
Finishing in Bondi
Nedd Brockmann crossed the finish line in Bondi Beach, Sydney on Monday 15th October at around 5.30pm. The run took him 47 days, meaning he is now the second-fastest person to ever run across Australia.

Upon finishing, in true Australian fashion, Nedd performed a shoey to celebrate his momentous achievement.
Nedd Brockmann Strava
Nedd recorded all of his runs on his Strava account where not only can you view his running distances, but also the running route Nedd took, should you ever feel compelled to mimic any of his daily runs. The majority of his 100km+ runs took him over 11 hours to complete, but he said in some of his Instagram posts that he took nap breaks to regain some energy and give his body some time to heal.
Nedd Brockmann Girlfriend & Family

Nedd’s parents, Kylie and Ian Brockmann and his girlfriend, Jemma Griffin, a Sydney-based personal trainer and keen runner herself, accompanied Nedd throughout the duration of his run. It’s not clear how long the couple of have been together, but the pair do appear in photos together in 2020. It’s claimed Jemma is the one who asked Nedd out, and they’ve been happy together ever since.
Australian of the Year?
Because of Nedd Brockmann’s incredible feat, many Australians are calling for him to be crowned Australian of the Year. However, Nedd won’t be able to be considered for the 2023 edition of the Award, since the cut-off date for nominations was July 31st. He can, however, be nominated for the 2024 Australian of the Year Award, and applications are now open.

Australia has a long and storied history with the sport of tennis. From Margaret Court to Lleyton Hewitt, some of the most iconic tennis stars of all time have grown up in the land down under.
2022 is no different either; there are a number of players who sit in the upper echelon of the rankings that will go on to inspire the next generation of the Australian tennis stars.
Read on as DMARGE takes you through the highest ranked Australian professional tennis players in the world today.
Rankings as of 25 October 2022
Nick Kyrgios

- ATP Rank: 20
Nick Kyrgios, the bad boy of professional tennis, is a Canberra native who is almost as well known for his antics on and off the court, as he is for his talent on the tennis court.
But whatever you think about the man, his amazing tennis ability is undeniable. He established himself on the world stage by defeating then world No. 1 ranked Rafael Nadal in his Wimbledon debut in 2014.
He is only the third player to have beaten tennis legends Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in the first time playing against them.
From there, he has gone on to win the men’s doubles with fellow Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis at the 2022 Australian Open and reach the singles final of Wimbledon that same year, eventually losing to the aforementioned Djokovic. He has won a total of seven career titles.
His ranking of 20 does not fully reflect how talented he is as a player, sometimes choosing to miss ATP events in favour of focusing on Grand slams.
After the US Open in 2022, he said. “I think pretty much every other tournament during the year is a waste of time really. You should just run up and show up at a Grand Slam. That’s what you’re remembered by.”
However, a solid result at the upcoming 2023 Australian Open could propel Kyrgios into the top-10 for the first time.
Alex de Minaur

- ATP Rank: 24
At the tender age of 23, Alex de Minaur has already established himself on the world stage as one of tennis’ brightest young talents.
Despite being born in Australia, he honed his craft in Alicante, Spain, his family moving there when he was only five years old. He is still very proud of being Australian though, getting a tattoo of the number 109 as he was 109th man to represent Australia in the Davis Cup.
He is famous for his speed and agility, earning him the aptly humorous title of ‘Speed Demon’.
The Sydney-born youngster has been ranked as high as No. 15 last year, having won six titles over the course of his ATP career. De Minaur’s best result in a Grand Slam is a quarter-final appearance in the 2020 US Open, bowing out to eventual winner Dominic Thiem.
He showed his potential again in 2022, reaching the fourth round of both the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
Will 2023 be the year that Alex de Minaur comes into his own?
Ajla Tomljanovic

- WTA Rank: 34
The highest ranked Australian in women’s singles, Ajla Tomljanovic as originally played for her country of birth, Croatia, before switching allegiances after she was granted Australian citizenship in 2018.
Tomljanovic was an accomplished junior player, winning the Australian Open girl’s doubles in 2009.
In her professional career, she has yet to win any WTA titles but has performed solidly in a number of Grand Slams, reaching the quarter final of Wimbledon and the US Open in 2022.
In the US Open tournament, she defeated former world No.1 and arguably the women’s singles GOAT Serena Williams. It was Williams’ last professional singles match, retiring after the tournament.
Tomljanovic said after the match, “I’m feeling really sorry, just because I love Serena just as much as you guys do. And what she’s done for me, for the sport of tennis, is incredible… she is the greatest of all time.”
She also used to date Nick Kyrgios for two years, with their relationship ending in 2017.
Daria Saville

- WTA Rank: 54
Like Tomljanovic, Daria Saville switched allegiances to play for Australia in 2015, after emigrating from Russia.
Saville used to play under her maiden name Gavrilova, until her marriage to fellow Australian tennis player Luke Saville. He influenced her decision to become an Aussie, with the pair getting married in 2021.
She has one singles title and three doubles titles on the WTA tour, having previously ranked as high as No. 20 in 2017. She has beaten a number of former Grand Slam champions including Maria Sharapova and Petra Kvitova.
Saville’s best results in Grand Slams include two fourth round appearances in the Australian open in 2016 and 2017.
Injuries have kept her out of the top of the rankings in 2021 and 2022, where at the moment she is recovering from tearing her ACL.
Let’s hope she can bounce back and have a big year in 2023.
Jordan Thompson

- ATP Ranking: 85
Sporting a thick moustache and long hair, Jordan Thompson is certainly recognisable on the court.
The Sydney native has reached as high as No. 43 in the ATP ranking, after a string of decent finishes in Grand Slam tournaments.
He reached the fourth round of the US Open in 2020 and the third round of Wimbledon in 2021. During the latter, he defeated current world No. 3 Caspar Ruud and former top-5 player Kei Nishikori.
In 2017, he won his only WTA tile in doubles, partner Thanasi Kokkinakis to become the first Australian duo to win the Brisbane International.

If you’re a regular TikTok scroller then you’ve almost definitely come across a video of two House of Dragons stars talking about their favourite drink, one of which is a Negroni Sbaligato.
WATCH: House of Dragons Star Emma D’Arcy Reveals Her Favourite Cocktail Is A Negront Sbagliato.
The now-viral video shows House of Dragons star Olivia Cooke (Alicient Hightower) asking fellow actress Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen) what their drink of choice is. With perfect enunciation, Emma replies, “A Negroni.” But while Olivia is responding with “I was going to say the same thing,” Emma interrupts to add “Sbagliato. With Prosecco in it.”
The video, posted to TikTok by the official HBO Max account, has racked up 1.7 million likes and 10,000 comments, which include “they said Prosecco in the most seductive way possible.” Since the clip was posted, it has been remixed by numerous other TikTok users and caused searches for “Negroni Sbagliato” to skyrocket on Google.
Emma’s drink of choice, a classic gin martini, hasn’t seemed to have received quite the same attention.
But what is a Negroni Spagliato and just how do you make one? Read on to find out.
What is a Negroni Sbagliato?
A Negroni Sbagliato is indeed a genuine cocktail and its name translates to “mistaken Negroni,” or “broken Negroni.” This is because the Negroni Sbagliato replaces to key ingredient of gin in a regular Negroni, with Prosecco. A regular Negroni, for those unaware, is cocktail made using equal parts gin, Campari and sweet vermouth.
The ingredients are combined in a mixing glass and mixed with ice until cold. Don’t, whatever you do, follow Stanley Tucci’s advice and shake it.
How do you make a Negroni Sbagliato?

A Negroni Sbagliato is made in much the same way as a regular Negroni, in that use equal parts of each ingredient. However, because Prosecco is of course carbonated, you can’t mix it in the mixing glass.
The Negroni Sbagliato recipe is as follows:
- In a mixing glass, add 1.5 ounces (45ml) of Campari and 1.5 ounces of sweet vermouth and mix with ice until cold.
- Single strain over a large ice cube into a rocks glass. You can also serve a Negroni Sbagliato in a champagne flute, without ice, if you wish.
- Top with 1.5 ounces of Prosecco. If you don’t have Prosecco then you can add sparkling wine.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
Negroni Sbagliato History
According to Diffords Guide, Emma actually pronounces ‘Sbagliato’ wrong in the video. It should actually be pronounced, ‘spal-yacht-oh’, and is Italian for ‘mistake.’ It’s claimed the Negroni Sbagliato was first created in the late 1980s by bartender Mirko Stocchetti at the Bar Basso in Milan, Italy. He literally made the now classic cocktail by mistake, accidentally grabbing a bottle of sparkling wine instead of gin. He still tried his new concoction and thus the Negroni Sbagliato was born.

Who is Matisse Thybulle?
Matisse Vincent Thybulle is an Australian-American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.
He was drafted with the No. 20 overall pick by Philadelphia in the 2019 NBA Draft, playing for the team ever since.
He plays for the Australian national basketball team and was part of the ‘Boomers’ squad – alongside Jock Landale – who took home the bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Early Life in Australia

Matisse Thybulle was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on 4 March 1997. When he was two, his family moved to Sydney for his father’s job, where they lived for roughly seven years. He lived on the North Shore and has fond memories of his time there.
Thybulle joked that “Santa Claus wore a speedo and surfed… that was the Santa we grew up with.”
His father is Haitan and his mother Dr. Elizabeth Thybulle was American. Sadly, she passed away from leukaemia in 2015.
In 2005, Matisse Thybulle and his family returned to America, settling in Sammamish, Washington.
Supposedly he could not make a lay up till he was eight years old, but this changed as he started to grow taller and more confident. His parents used to film his games so that he could watch tape afterwards.
Thybulle’s high school team in in America were pretty poor, so he transferred to Eastside Catholic for his junior year, garnering interest from college scouts.
Despite his mother passing away the day before, he still found a way to play basketball. In the game in question, he scored 17 points on his way to defeating their local rivals.
Thybulle said that his mother’s presence is always with him:
“Taking that mindset into every experience, knowing that she’s always there, she’s never really gone.”
College Career

Matisse Thybulle committed to playing for the University of Washington due to having a close relationship with Huskies coach Lorenzo Romar.
He started every single game of his freshman year, but after the team went 9-22 the following year, Romar was fired.
Thybulle considered quitting the program altogether, but after meeting new coach Mike Hopkins, he decided to stay.
Matisse Thybulle blossomed under Hopkins’ leadership, becoming a defensive menace and being named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player in his university to do so
Despite interest from NBA scouts, Thybulle had promised his parents he would finish college. In his senior year, he won the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and the Left Driesell Award given to the best defensive player in the entire nation. After this stellar season, he declared for the NBA draft.
NBA Career
Matisse Thybulle was taken with the No. 20 overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2019 NBA Draft. After the team’s loss in Game 7 of the eastern conference semi-finals to the eventual winner Toronto Raptors, the Sixers wanted to select someone that would immediately help their team in their championship hopes.
The Sixers promised Thybulle they would pick him, so the young star stopped working out for other teams to prevent his draft stock from rising any higher.

In his rookie season, he hit five threes and three steals in a win over the Raptors, becoming the first Sixers rookie to achieve the feat since Allen Iverson. He also formed a nice partnership with fellow Aussie Ben Simmons.
The Covid-19 pandemic forced the NBA to implement a “bubble”, where players were not allowed to leave to see anyone else but the team. Ever the opportunist, Thybulle saw this as a chance to start vlogging, putting videos on YouTube documenting the experience.
Philadelphia once again reached the eastern conference semi-finals in his second and third years, both times bowing out at this stage.
Despite the team’s playoffs woes, Thybulle’s efforts on defence were being recognised, having been named to the leagues All-Defensive Second Team in both 2021 and 2022.
Matisse Thybulle is finding himself out of the rotation at the start of the 2022-23 NBA season and he becomes a restricted free agent at the season’s end. Will we see Thybulle in different colours next year?
Australian ‘Boomers’

Proud of his Australian heritage, Matisse Thybulle committed to play for Australia’s national basketball team the ‘Boomers’.
He was a member of the squad for the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic games starting just after the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
Matisse Thybulle helped the team take home a bronze medal, beating Slovenia to win Australia’s first ever basketball medal.
Matisse Thybulle’s salary
Mattise Thybulle signed a 4-year $12,513,127 (AU $19,334,245) contract with the Philadelphia 76ers after he was drafted.
For the 2022-23 NBA season, the 24-year-old will earn $4,379,527 (AU $6,766,881)
Matisse Thybulle’s girlfriend

Mattise Thybulle is believed to be dating fellow basketball player Talsa Harr.
The couple were spotted on Instagram on holiday together in 2021 but generally keep their relationship out of the public eye.
Matisse Thybulle’s vaccine status
In April 2022, Thybulle revealed he was not fully vaccinated for Covid-19. This made him ineligible to play against in games three and four against the Toronto Raptors in the opening round of the NBA playoffs, due to the games being held in Canada.
He revealed that he received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine but felt like he did not need to get the second, once learning you could still catch the disease after being vaccinated.
He also said he grew up in a “holistic household” with “Chinese medicine and naturopathic doctors”.

Logan Paul, the controversial social media personality / professional wrestler / noted NFT fanboy, has confirmed that he’s lost a truly enormous amount of money on his NFT investments, with the 27-year-old singling out that the price of one of his favourite NFTs has fallen to “essentially nothing”.
The NFT in question is K4M-1 #03 from the 0N1 Force collection, a collection of anime-inspired avatars. Paul reportedly bought the NFT in August 2021 for the eye-watering sum of US$623,000 – but now it’s only worth around $10 (although some are offering Paul around $2,900 for it).
That’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Paul’s NFT losses, however. In December 2021, Paul confirmed that he has spent close to US$2.7m on his NFT collection but according to Yahoo Finance, Paul’s entire NFT portfolio is now worth around $889,000 – a loss of around $1.8m.
Despite this, Paul is continuing his hard-core boosterism of NFTs, even using the loss he’s incurred on this 0N1 Force number as the inspiration for yet another NFT in his own collection of NFTs, called 99 Originals (which itself has seen its value tank in recent months). Very meta… And if I keep having to type ‘NFT’, I’m going to do my head in.
A year ago, I spent $623,000 on an NFT. Today, it’s worth essentially nothing.
— Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) July 13, 2022
I’ve immortalized this mistake in 99 Originals with an exact replica helmet & outfithttps://t.co/OzBRdQPxUK pic.twitter.com/srD2h4SgO7
Logan has made his love of alternative asset classes a huge part of his public persona. He notably made headlines earlier this year after he secured the Guinness World Record for the Most Expensive Pokémon Trading Card Sold at a Private Sale, after buying a 1/1 PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card for US$5,275,000.
Ironically, Paul actually put that Pokémon card up for auction earlier this month, with it going at auction for ‘only’ $480,000 (which includes a buyer’s premium of $80,000) – representing an over 92% loss for Paul. Guess it’s not just his NFTs that are tanking…
Why are NFTs crashing?
As Curzio Research explains, “prices for all risky assets are under pressure as the Federal Reserve raises interest rates.”
“Higher interest rates make safe investments (like short-term bonds) more attractive to investors. The result is that money is getting sucked out of riskier stuff (like stocks, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs).”

Football superstar Kylian Mbappé is once again wanting out of Paris St. Germain, as his relationship with the club has completely broken down, according to multiple reports.
This comes just five months after Mbappé signed a monster deal with the club reportedly worth £507 million (AU$907 million).
The stylish French phenom teased the idea of wanting to play for Real Madrid for the entire 2021-2022 season, but a £154 million (AU$275 million) offer was not enough to coax the star away from Paris.
Despite seriously deepening Mbappé’s pockets, he is unhappy at the club and wants to leave in the January transfer window.
The report began with Spanish publication Marca and was confirmed by both France’s La Parisien and esteemed football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
They reported that the club’s management made a series of promises before Mbappé re-signed, which they have not fulfilled. This includes playing alongside another true striker and recruiting another centre back.
The transfer rumour mill still puts Madrid as the favourites to land the Frenchman, and it’s a deal that makes a lot of sense. The Spanish giants have the money to afford him, and it scratches the Florentino Perez itch of signing football’s biggest names.
However, after the summer’s transfer debacle, it is believed that PSG are parting ways with Mbappé, they will not negotiate with Real Madrid, with the relationship between the two clubs apparently at a complete standstill.
So where will Mbappé go if he does get his wish to leave PSG? And who realistically has the money to afford him? We have created a list of the clubs most likely to land him.
Real Madrid

As we’ve established, Madrid are the frontrunners to sign Kylian Mbappé. He was a boyhood fan of the club and had verbally agreed to join Los Blancos in the summer before PSG offered him the house for him to stay in. The club also missed out on other big forwards last transfer window, such as Erling Haaland.
One of Mbappé’s reasons for wanting out of Paris is also his desire to play beside a true No. 9, something which Madrid has in his fellow countryman Karim Benzema.
But if Mbappé were to join, who’s to say it would be the easiest transition? Madrid already has an abundance of wingers in Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eden Hazard, the first of which has the potential to be a superstar to rival the Frenchman.
Mbappé’s temperamental attitude may also disrupt a successful dressing room culture that has been built by Carlo Ancelloti.
In reality, though, Madrid will not want any of their rivals getting their hands on one of the hottest assets in football at the moment. That is if PSG even let them put in an offer…
Chelsea

Since buying Chelsea in the spring, American owner Todd Boehly has made it clear that he’s willing to break the bank in pursuit of talent. The English club spent over £300 million in the last transfer window, and they would definitely be able to agree to Mbappé’s financial demands should he become interested in a move to London.
After expressing his interest to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, owner Todd Boehly has made it clear that he is keen to go after the big names who can increase ticket and shirt sales – something someone like Mbappé can definitely do.
The club have also just signed Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who along with Kai Havertz and Armando Broja have the potential to complement Mbappe nicely going forward.
All in all, it is hard to look past the Blues as a potential destination for the young star.
Liverpool

Another rather realistic option. The Reds supposedly went after Mbappé last summer and were close to signing him before he inked a new deal in Paris. Jürgen Klopp has mentioned in the past that he was interested in signing the forward, in a way only he can:
“Of course, we are interested in Kylian Mbappé – we are not blind.”
Jürgen Klopp
Joining Liverpool would also give him the chance to immediately contend for the Champions League, under one of the best managers in the world. Mbappé would fill the hole left by the departure of Sadio Mane in the summer.
But with PSG rejecting a Real Madrid offer of £150 million, Liverpool would need to fork out a lot of money to afford the Frenchman; money which they do not necessarily have. Having already spent £60 million on Darwin Nunez in the last transfer window, Liverpool may need to give up some of their prized possessions, such as Mo Salah, to get Mbappé.
Also, with Liverpool currently sitting tenth in this year’s Premier League, the French star may not want to join a team currently competing with the likes of Brentford and Fulham. No offence to Brentford and Fulham of course.
Arsenal

Before joining PSG in 2017, Arsenal were in the running to sign a then 18-year-old Kylian Mbappé. The young star had met with former boss Arsene Wenger and had previously said that joining Arsenal was a “real option for [him]”.
With Arsenal looking like they’ll be the ones to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League this season, Mbappé may be the missing piece to take them back to glory.
That being said, a move to Arsenal is still pretty far-fetched. The Gunners are playing Europa League football this season, which is very much a downgrade from playing in the Champions League with Messi and Neymar.
Also, realistically would Arsenal be able to afford Mbappé? If they were to go for the star, this may come at the expense of one of their key players such as Bukayo Saka or Martin Ødegaard, who have been key to their success so far this season.
Unlikely, but hey, Gunners fans can dream, can’t they?
Bayern Munich

This is perhaps another wildcard to sign him, but a safe option if Mbappé is after consistent domestic league success and Champions League football.
There are some German outlets reporting that Bayern Munich are interested in signing the Parisian forward, even though the move would be fairly un-Bayern of them; they don’t normally go after someone worth that amount of money. They would need to play around with their finances, but with their huge commercial revenue, it may well be possible.
It would also be a hell of a statement for a club that is not sitting in their usual first place atop of the Bundesliga – they are not going anywhere.
Bayern’s interest is merely speculation though and Mbappé’s attitude problems mean that Bayern are not willing to take the risk. If I were Mbappé though, a trip to Oktoberfest every year doesn’t sound too bad.
RELATED: Kylian Mbappé’s Recovery Is The Ticket To Strength
For those that are wondering, we are not even entertaining the idea of him joining Manchester City. Please don’t do that, Kylian.
Of course, this is all speculation for now. But one thing’s for sure: all eyes will be on the talented Frenchman come January when the mid-season transfer window opens. Even if he doesn’t get his wish to leave so soon, we may get a clearer insight as to which club or clubs will be genuinely willing to stump up the cash.

UFC 280 – one of the most anticipated UFC cards of the year – is taking place this Saturday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
It is being headlined by a spine-tingling matchup that has MMA fans giddy, between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev for the vacant UFC lightweight belt.
The rest of the card is also completely stacked: former-champion TJ Dillashaw looks to regain the UFC bantamweight championship against current 135lb king Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan and ‘Suga’ Sean O’Malley square off for what is sure to be an amazing striking matchup.
Given the card is in Abu Dhabi, the event will actually be shown in Australia in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Here is everything you need to know about watching UFC 280: Olivera vs. Makhachev in Australia.
When is UFC 280?
UFC 280 takes place on Saturday 22 October in the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
What time does UFC 280 start in Australia?
- Preliminary Card: Sunday 23 October – 1am AEDT
- Main Card: Sunday 23 October – 5am AEDT
Because of the time difference, UFC 280 will be broadcast in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 23 October.
In Australia, the preliminary card starts at 1am AEDT. The main card is set to kick off at 5am AEDT.
For Aussie MMA fans keen to set their alarm and wake up to watch the main event, Oliveira and Makhachev’s cage walks are scheduled for 8am AEDT, but this could change depending on the length of the undercard fights.
How to watch UFC 280 in Australia?
In Australia, UFC 280 will be available to buy on Kayo Sports, for $59.99. Good news for fight fans, is that you do not require a separate Kayo subscription to purchase the event.
Who is fighting on the UFC 280 Main Card?

Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev is one of the most intriguing lightweight bouts of all time. Oliveira wants to cement his place as one of the greatest lightweight fighters in the history of the UFC, whilst Makhachev looks to follow in the footsteps of best-friend Khabib Nurmagomedov and regain the belt for the first time.
The main event is by no means the only reason to get up – or stay – up for the event. The main card is filled with interesting matchups top-to-bottom:
- Charles Oliveira (BRA) v Islam Makhachev (RUS) – Men’s Lightweight title.
- Aljamain Sterling (USA) v TJ Dillashaw (USA) – Men’s Bantamweight title.
- Peter Yan (RUS) v Sean O’Malley (USA) – Men’s Bantamweight.
- Beneil Dariush (USA) v Mateusz Gamrot (POL) – Men’s Lightweight.
- Katlyn Chookagian (USA) v Manon Fiorot (FRA) – Women’s Flyweight.
Will Alexander Volkanovski be fighting at UFC 280?
The No. 1 ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world and UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is turning a lot of heads this weekend.
The Aussie badass is flying out to Abu Dhabi and will act as the back-up for the main event, should either Oliveira or Makhachev pull-out last minute.
He told MMA Junkie, “I’m just going through the week as if it’s a normal fight week and I’m fighting.”
Even if we do not see him in the Octagon on Sunday morning, UFC President Dana White has confirmed he will be receiving the next title shot with whoever wins this weekend.
Will Joe Rogan be commentating on UFC 280?
Joe Rogan will not be commentating at UFC 280 for Charles Olivera vs. Islam Makhachev. The long-time commentator and popular podcast host rarely travels outside of America for events anymore and has confirmed he will be in London for the upcoming card.

One of Hollywood’s most iconoclastic actors has just been confirmed to produce and star in a raucous biopic about the wildest professional golfer in the world – and we can’t think of a better casting decision.
The biopic, which Hill will produce via his Strong Baby Productions outfit, will examine the excesses, scandals and achievements of the larger-than-life PGA Tour golfer, Above the Line reports. Greek-Australian director Anthony Maras, best known for directing Hotel Mumbai, is also on board for the project.
Hill is reportedly quite a keen amateur golfer, so it makes sense that he’s interested in telling Daly’s story. His comedic chops and unique talent also make him the perfect fit for playing Daly. We just wonder if he’ll grow out a mullet to get into character…
John Daly is inarguably one of the most entertaining characters professional golf has ever seen. Brash, big and unconventional, Daly is famous for his driving distance off the tee (which is why he’s got the nickname “Long John”) as well as his no-f*cks-given attitude: smoking on the green, rocking nasty mullets and generally being a walking middle finger to the stuff country club vibe of golf.

He’s also got some serious accolades to his name: he was the youngest active player on tour with two major championship titles back in the day, and was fourth American at the time since World War II to win two majors before his 30th birthday.
Daly was most recently in the headlines after making a public appeal to fellow golf legend Greg Norman to join the controversial Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour – although apparently, Norman turned him down, saying that Daly was “too old”.

Daly currently competes in the PGA Champions Tour, where he continues to be a bit of a nuisance. (His last PGA Tour victory was in 2004 in San Diego.)

Scotland is the biggest producer of whisky in the world. Other countries like the United States, Ireland and Japan, also have long traditions of whisky-making. For many years, Jack Daniel’s has continued to take the spot as the world’s biggest-selling whisky brand. The American brand sells around 13 million cases annually. A number of the world’s most expensive whiskies come from The Macallan, a whisky producer in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands.
