At this year’s Baselworld the Swiss watchmaker turned the Autavia name into a collection which features the brand’s latest innovations in a classic body – a perfect companion for the classiest of adventurers, they call it.  All the hallmarks that made the Autavia a favourite exist in the new models which are now distinguished by their unique dial colours and range of strap and bracelet options.What remains of course is the Austavia’s ruggedness and reliability. The watch wears a dial design which mimics the dashboard instrument found in racing cars and aircraft. It’s what’s inside that counts here with the watches making use of TAG’s latest innovation in a carbon composite hairspring which ensures precision timing performance over time thanks to the material’s superior elasticity properties when compared to steel.
